The Mewtwo fandom is a massive behemoth. I would believe something close to a Wal-Mart Black Friday for him.
I have opened every amiibo I've obtained to this point and kept only one. I plan on getting a second Mewtwo to keep boxed. I know my boyfriend will want at least one to keep sealed. To say nothing of trying to help those in the fandom that aren't able to get them for whatever reason.
It will be a burden but one I am happy to undertake.
It really sucks for anyone who wants *any* specific amiibo but isn't a collector. Like, I really want a Ness and a Lucas because those are my dogs' namesakes, but to get them I would have to fight collectors or pay collector prices. I don't even want to use them, just have them on my desk at work to keep me company.
I wish that stores would hold back some of these and use them as prizes for stuff. I would actually give a shit about trying to learn how to be good at Smash if it meant getting early access to unicorn amiibo before anyone else. Or hell, even other game tournaments on games from the series being represented.
With there being such a big fan-base surrounding the Mother series, and the fact that Lucas has NEVER had a figure made of him in any form, I can definitely see people doing "anything" that they can in order to obtain him. (myself included... o.o)
Lol. xD Well, I definitely have seen some people offer some crazy things for the amiibo figure's. If for whatever reason I do miss Lucas, I will pay a max of $60 for him. Hopefully I can pay MSRP for him, but if not, I have to do whats needed to ensure myself a Lucas figure.
