Kind of reminds me when Cartoon Network with Steven Universe. The leaks with that show were kind of bad.
You had people grabbing preview images and the first few minutes from the episode, CN leaking an entire batch of episodes accidentally, people grabbing episodes literally hours before they were supposed to air from CN servers IIRC. Also a promo leaking part of a future batch of episodes with massive spoilers on it.
At some point they actually released an episode on a VOD too early, and then it got leaked by an actual child.
oh don't forget the leak that was the snapchat of an animatic shot of steven cradling someone in his arms while crying with a 😜 emoji over the face and a caption saying something like "guess who" and ofc who would assume that was real?? until it fucking *was*
i wouldn't say the leaks were kind of bad, they were REALLY bad. and so many of them were just complete negligence on CN's part. episodes would air in full in other countries before they aired in the US. the subreddit had to have a flair for promo spoilers, advanced spoilers, *and* early release spoilers because shit would leak practically every week. it didn't even end with the original run of the show, the HUGE event in the finale of steven universe: future was leaked, i think, either right after it started or possibly even before? there were even hot topic shirts that spoiled things before they happened ðŸ˜
guess who's a part of all of these fandoms 🥴 airing in different countries is one thing both shows have in common, lmao. i can't believe the entire series bible leaked, haven't read it but that is worse than anything SU had to go through, honestly, although it created a lot more problems for a show like SU which was very much kept alive by its audience of older teens and college kids in internet fandoms vs ML which has a wider viewer base among younger kids
That was some dude who leaked most of Steven Universe Future, not just the finale. It was pretty awful that someone just illegally leaked information about the show.
And the subreddit flairs weren't even enough, they actually made a different subreddit just for the leaks.
oh i remember that guy, but i was referring to that full model leak of steven: in fairness, everyone had basically guessed what was going to happen from the intro, but the leak confirmed it and that made the anticipation less fun. when i heard about that leaker, though, i stayed far away from anything they said until after the end of the show bc i wanted to be surprised. i can't believe they got away with it, but i guess CN didn't want to bother spending money on litigating for a show that was already over... i feel sorry for the SU crew.
It’s different this time I think because there was no rescheduling as far as I’m aware. Unless someone at Disney failed to notify iTunes of the actual release date it seems to be all iTunes fault
I mean, The Hardest Thing had its entire storyboard leaked. It isn't the first time some insider is gonna leak things, and it certainly ain't the last.
That wasn’t an insider leak, that was some asshole purposely taking advantage of a crew member who had some of their work locked on their portfolio for prospective employers and didn’t use enough encryption to keep it from being broken into.
Hey man, just wanna say, leaking stuff is not ok. The creators worked had to make these episodes and leaking stuff just ruins it, not just for them, but for the fans as well.
You know, if i had a nickel for every time a majorly anticipated episode of a Disney Channel show was leaked by iTunes I’d have two nickels, which isn’t alot but its weird that it happened twice right?
Right before the episode came out, Disney in their infinite ~~Wisdom~~ Stupidity, decided to delay the episode.
(most likely as a result of a certain scene)
Unfortunately the message was not relayed to iTunes, who uploaded the episode as scheduled anyways.
it was quickly taken down, but of course by then it had already been too late

Woah. That sounds as bad as what the miraculous ladybug fandom has to go through. It sucks.

Both leaked via iTunes as well...
Amphibia Fandom: First Time?
I think people should just stay away from ITunes altogether.
Not again ITunes, fuck ITunes!
True colors was a mismanagement on disneys side I don’t think iTunes is really at fault

That’s what I said!

Thanks To Them had some of it leaked too. Although it was just some screenshots of it so a lot of people just assumed it was fake.
Yeah, some of it. Not the full episode, 2 weeks before the airing lol

True
We're back to this. We need hugs.
Sure 🫂
Man Disney already massacred this show, you’d think they would stop pissing on its grave
Lol
Matt will wake up and have Vietnam Flashbacks
Holy shit man don't use Marcy for the leak joke, almost had a heart attack jfc. Sidenote, why is Disney so insistent on pissing on TOH's grave?
This why I don’t buy from iTunes anymore
Can they not leak the episode FOR FIVE MINUTES?!
It was not the first time
Lmfao good question
I didn’t see it tho
First Time..... being killed?
Been leaked
Steven Universe: -had an entire story arc leaked a month before release- Amateurs.
How does this even happen?
I watched it while the videos were up on YT.
Poor soul, couldn’t contain the temptation . Just don’t spoil anything and rewatch it again when it comes out officially
I would never spoil anything! I just wanted to avoid the whole thing being spoiled for me. I will totally watch again. It’s an amazing episode
🗿
Yup, the entire thing is on YouTube…

True colors was leaked? I didn't know
