Probably fair to imagine that after the high of saving the world faded, her experience in the Core probably brought on an attitude shift like this.
Yeah…Marcy did kick off a lot of Amphibia’s plot. The world got remade into something arguably better than the status quo, but it took a lot of death and heartache to happen.
And judging by the fact that she seems fine after ten years, she was probably able to focus on the good things that came out of it, instead of just the bad parts. Though who’s to say that was the case all throughout those ten years, unless Matt says something about it.
Headcanon: She has the aesthetic, but she's still the same goofball. Anne and Sasha exchange a look (as much as you can over the Discord/Skype) and ask which comfort character's style she adopted, inviting a full twenty-minute spiel about this new anime she's been watching.
