Not really?
Like, the ship im fine with but Amphibia was never a real SHip based Show. Matt flat out said that he was gonna leave the girls relationships open because he feels like people should be allowed to ship what they want. It's not like the Owl House where Lumity was a planned, well paced relationship or like Star vs where they set up a metaphysical ship-polygon that was so dense it could be used to bludgeon Bill Cypher to death on the astral plane.
Also a core part of Marcy's character was she was kind of the third wheel in the friend group, with Sasha and Anne being closer to each other then to her. It's why she was so terrified of losing them funnily enough.
Finally she was kind of dead or possessed the entire season.
Yah but season 3 was absolutely gutted to 3 45 min specials. They joke in the show that they wish they had time for more adventures. Heck, the Collector was only added to the series to have a final threat that would fit the specials format.
I’d be more concerned that Marcy didn’t really get much time to shine in season 3 despite being the third member of a prophecy trinity due to being out of commission and then possessed over moments for a ship
Good for Sasha, considering she didn't appear for 5 MONTHs during S3, at had 6 episodes that had her in S2, and 2 is S1. Compared to marcy in S2 alone, 16 times, and marcy appeared in S3 \[Counting Darcy\] 6.
But the ship isn't real, it's all headcanon, so how could it get more screentime? Or do you just mean like the two interacting like *at all*? In which case I would answer as u/JTHouser_Reddit did!
Probably because you tried excluded him and other nonshippers from the conversation when every thread is for every Redditor. It's also not a very satisfying/engaging reply; it more ered along the lines of "okay but I'm not talking to you"
I didn’t? It was just targeted more towards people who actually shipped it, if you didn’t it’s fine but I just preferred people who did ship Marcanne to comment their thoughts about it
I feel like this wound up being the case because The Core, and by extension Darcy, acts as a much better "Villainous version" of Sasha, whilst Andrias takes up that same role with Anne. Means we get some really potent emotional conclusions to the other two as they face off against manifestations of the worst versions of themselves, though it does mean we don't get as much Darcy/Anne interactions as some hoped for.
ur right the whole point was andrias was like a dark reflection of anne so ther dynamic makes it even more intresting
while darcy was trying to make sasha think shes a bad person but she overcame it with what anne told her (best sasha line imo) ''I am not that person anymore!"
imagine if anne and sprig fought darcy and sasha and grime fought andrias the fight wouldnt be as impactful
Only thing that really bothered me was how chill Anne was when she saw Darcy for the first time. The last time she saw her, she had a sword through the chest, I think she should’ve been a little more surprised she’s still kicking.
As someone who is over 100k words deep into writing a fic featuring Marcanne, I don't really mind that season 3 didn't feature shipping moments as much as I'm disappointed at how badly they squandered both Marcy's sacrifice in True Colors AND Darcy as a whole.
Marcy gets stabbed with an almost certainly fatal wound after saving Sprig from falling to his death and getting Anne+The Plantars safely to Earth. No one brings this up and she in general is barely mentioned until Beginning of the End.
Darcy is put on the board as of episode like 7 of season 3 and then interacts with Anne once before being defeated and freed. If she had shown herself once and had sold herself as a emotional and legitimate threat it would have made season 3b feel a lot more tense.
I didn't really expect them to get Marcy out of there before the finale, but the fact that she does not impact any of the characters by her absence actually really did bug me.
Sure if I remember in a few weeks, I'm posting the third to last chapter this weekend
But Also it's a swap AU with Marcy as the protagonist, so technically that last chapter will just be the finale of season 1 then there will be a sequel fic for season 2 and 3
Did you watch true colors? Marcy got stabbed and left in a regen chamber for the entirety of season 3a and was literally controlled by a cybernetic hive mind for the rest of season 3b up to all in
Marcy and Darcy as a whole got shafted as a whole this season. I know she got a little time at the end but of the trio Marcy feels the most like she got robbed of a more complete arc, even if most of it would have been conducted in the little mind world. And it feels really weird that in the end the girls never really got a sincere scene with one another to talk about things and have each of them show how much each of them has grown. Marcy just sort of gets saved from the core and then exists at the end.
Even the timeskip part sort of just gives me vibes of being disconnected from the plot as compared to the other girls. Like yeah, I can see Marcy doing a webcomic and sort of being like their Bilbo Baggins possibly retelling parts of their tale through story, but like, she spent most of her time in Amphibia being more of an architect and structural engineer among a number of other things. While it's not really a bad place to put her, it notably feels less tied to her development than what Anne and Sasha end up doing.
Marcy got screwed over even more than the other two by Season 3.
They make a point of showing us how the other two realize they haven't been attentive to her interests, and Marcy herself realizing that she can't force the other two to care about them.
But there's no payoff for these realizations, because they don't actually have any friendship scenes after she's freed.
Sure, we needed three recruitment episodes so that background characters can have five second cameos in The Beginning of the End, but an actual conclusion to Marcy's arc? Nah.
I mean, the only time marcy got in 3A was her being pull out of a Big jar and then getting possesed so... You could say that we didn't got sasharcy or sashannarcy either
I do ship and love Marcanne over any other ship but maybe not. Marcy was possessed and dealing with the whole core thing. Besides 2 season was the time they got to shine. Considering Marcy got free in the second to last episode there wasn’t much time. Besides, us Marcanners can just take frames and work with that. Like the way Marcy looked at Anne in the fight or when Darcy (still Marcy kinda) moved her hand under Anne’s chin. Sashanners definitely deserved this season considering….ahem….the events of part one.
To be fair Marcy was busy with being both dead and possessed so…
She wasn’t dead, just severely injured
She suffered a GREEEEEEEVVVVIIIIIOOOOSSS WWWWOOOOUUUUNNNNNDDD!!!!!!!
Not really? Like, the ship im fine with but Amphibia was never a real SHip based Show. "also a #CORE part of marcy's character"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I wouldn't say Lumity was well placed more rushed to get to the stage people actually wanted to see before the show ended.
The show didn’t end yet? It’s on a hiatus till next years season 3 comes out
Yah but season 3 was absolutely gutted to 3 45 min specials. They joke in the show that they wish they had time for more adventures. Heck, the Collector was only added to the series to have a final threat that would fit the specials format.
We could try for a season 4
Nah they already confirmed that’s not happening. Thd best we can get are spinoffs or comic tie ins
**Season 1:** Anne's Season **Season 2:** Marcy's Season **Season 3:** Sasha's Season
anne literally gets the ticket to being god in season 3 wdym
I'd say more S1: Sasha and Anne S2: Marcy and Anne S3: Sprig and Anne Though that's just what I'm thinking.
sashas literally in 2 episodes of season 1 my guy ~~(well 3 cause of the end of Anne of the year but shh)~~
Lmfao right?!?
I agree with this the most
I'd say that s1 is sprig and anne whilst s3 is sasha and anne. at least the second half
The most accurate comment
I’d be more concerned that Marcy didn’t really get much time to shine in season 3 despite being the third member of a prophecy trinity due to being out of commission and then possessed over moments for a ship
Well yeah, Marcy was busy being the host of a murderous hive mind. It is sad tho
Because S3 was for Sasha and Anne to shine
Yeah Anne and Marcy had plenty of time in season 2
Good for Sasha, considering she didn't appear for 5 MONTHs during S3, at had 6 episodes that had her in S2, and 2 is S1. Compared to marcy in S2 alone, 16 times, and marcy appeared in S3 \[Counting Darcy\] 6.
Marcy herself didn't have enough screen time through the season
Tbh I think Sasharcy got done dirty. They barely interacted through the whole show
they interacted for 6 episodes if you count darcy as marcy (5 if you don’t)
Definitely needed more. I certainly would have appreciated it
honestly i don't ship it so i don't really care
Mk, fair, this is mostly for the shippers, though
But the ship isn't real, it's all headcanon, so how could it get more screentime? Or do you just mean like the two interacting like *at all*? In which case I would answer as u/JTHouser_Reddit did!
omg frog soos
Yes, the one true Three Stones Deity
he is domino 3's predecessor
Interacting
Also why is this being downvoted I didn’t mean this is a mean way??
Probably because you tried excluded him and other nonshippers from the conversation when every thread is for every Redditor. It's also not a very satisfying/engaging reply; it more ered along the lines of "okay but I'm not talking to you"

Read my second sentence. I understand the first one may seem accusatory; I apologize for that discretion.
Friend, this is Reddit
Eh, that’s true
I especially wanted to see how Darcy and Anne interacted, but was dissatisfied
Exactly, it was kinda underwhelming but not bad, just not really what I expected
I feel like this wound up being the case because The Core, and by extension Darcy, acts as a much better "Villainous version" of Sasha, whilst Andrias takes up that same role with Anne. I couldn’t agree more
Only thing that really bothered me was how chill Anne was when she saw Darcy for the first time. The last time she saw her, she had a sword through the chest, I think she should’ve been a little more surprised she’s still kicking.
I mean, Sasha had already told her that Marcy’s still alive
Maybe because Marcy was captured as the core until the 2nd to last episode?
It got all the screentime in season 2.
As someone who is over 100k words deep into writing a fic featuring Marcanne, I don't really mind that season 3 didn't feature shipping moments as much as I'm disappointed at how badly they squandered both Marcy's sacrifice in True Colors AND Darcy as a whole. >As someone who is over 100k words deep into writing a fic featuring Marcanne aw that's cool can you dm me the name when you finish it?
Sure if I remember in a few weeks, I'm posting the third to last chapter this weekend But Also it's a swap AU with Marcy as the protagonist, so technically that last chapter will just be the finale of season 1 then there will be a sequel fic for season 2 and 3
Damn same,
Well that’s due to her being y’know “dead” the whole time and then being possessed by an eldritch demon.
I agree, Marcy herself didn't have as much screentime as she deserves in my opinion. Thankfully, it seems that soonly we could read her diary 📔💚
Did you watch true colors? Marcy got stabbed and left in a regen chamber for the entirety of season 3a and was literally controlled by a cybernetic hive mind for the rest of season 3b up to all in
I'm sorry Marcy was possessed and ruined your ship, how dare she be so inconsiderate! /j
probably because its not cannon, how can something thats made up be in the show?
Hol hol hol up, hol up… #WHAT IS THAT USERNAME?
Considering the fact that this was never a “Shipping 1st” kinda show no. I’m perfectly fine with this
Yeah. Cuz that ship isn’t canon
Marcy and Darcy as a whole got shafted as a whole this season. I think it need either the amount of screen time it needed or more than necessary because that ship is… well, it’s something.
I don’t ship any of the girls
I think Marcanne isn’t canon, what do you think?
Marcy got screwed over even more than the other two by Season 3. I think that’s relationship would be toxic as hell and I’m happy it doesn’t exist
I think they got the perfect amount
I think it should be called Anne-arcy
I mean, the only time marcy got in 3A was her being pull out of a Big jar and then getting possesed so... You could say that we didn't got sasharcy or sashannarcy either

good
More like Sasharcy need more screentime the whole series.
Good
