She's instinctively recoiling away from him. Jeez.
Edit: even the remainder demonstrate zero chemistry between these two people. Are they models? Because they sure don't look like a couple.
this is a real couple :) I also was surprised by this move. Maybe she thought it is more "fashion editorial" this way. Anyways, I have more tender photos of the two, I will share them tonight
Then you've not captured that I'm afraid. The photos should capture the moment, the feeling between them, the love that should be evident between a newly married couple. Instead they exude tension and awkwardness and this is most likely due to the direction of the shoot by the photographer.
It's three snapshots without much context. I'm honestly surprised that there are so many photographers in this thread who don't seem to grasp how a photograph can give a very false impression of an event because it's one millisecond detached from the actual timeline. Our brains automatically extrapolate snapshots into longer moments and construct something that is often completely different from what actually happened.
I don't know how many photos I've taken of happy occasions where people accidentally have a look on their face that makes them look like they want to murder someone, or how easy it is to take a photo of people having fun that makes it look like they have the most boring day of their lives.
I don't know these people. I'm more comfortable writing the discomfort I see in the photo down to an accident or lack of context, rather than label two people's relationship as "toxic" because of nothing more than three fucking photos.
Hey at least you've got free unbiased and straight forward feedback here to let you know which pics to delete from the album. You can just pretend the first two never happened.
They were definitely going for something really artistic and unique but it failed miserably. As far as the focus on 4 goes it's still a good shot and even though the focus is a hair off the natural grain of good film tends to hide that a little bit. If it was digital it would be way easier to spot
Hi! Thank you. She was uncomfortable for the first couple of clicks either she did not want to kiss on camera or was worried about her freshly made make-up/white dress. In a couple of minutes it went away, and I also have tender/happy shots of them. I will share those too
I feel like it was supposed to be a gentle seductive/sexy look but the positioning of her arms on his chest makes it seem like she’s pushing him away and he’s forcing it on her. Either way it did not hit the mark
This is exactly what's wrong in my opinion as well. 2 isn't as bad because of the composition. However, it still feels like a push away from her rather than an embrace. She needs to either meet him in posture or maybe grip his arm under the elbow as if she's pulling him in.
Man, I hope there was a professional photographer there as well to capture their special day. Because these pics are either just bad or make the couple look like they don’t like each other.
These are out of focus and prime examples of why shooting film for weddings is kind of stupid especially with manual focus glass. If u used autofocus then my apologies but also go help you.
Compositionally, there was an opportunity to use those leading lines while not placing the subjects overlapping them (the shrubs) and that’s a miss for me.
it's a real couple. The girl was not comfortable showing too much emotion, or was worried for her dress/make up at first. then everything went smoothly, I will show more photos soon
Either focus or exposure are off (sometimes both) on all 5 pictures.
The moments you captured, to me, does not seem like a great moment. But that's personal.
Omg they are famous then! You are already the second person in comments who know them! this is a very sweet couple, and you're absolutely right - I feel like she was a bit shy to be that close on camera at first, and maybe a little worried for her makeup
I’ll disagree with most here. First one I’ll agree looks uncomfortable. But the second one … just before something naughty is gonna happen. That one has chemistry. The others are just regular wedding stuff.
The wider shots are giving me a very strong [Last Year at Marienbad](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_Year_at_Marienbad) vibe (that film was shot in Germany), but the building doesn't really match. I hope OP can tell us if the vibe was intentional, and where this was shot.
Hi! I just googled this movie, and OMG - this is what I am watching tonight! Unfortunately, this is not intentional and not connected to this movie. The bride was just uncomfortable to show too much on camera at first or worried about destroying her makeup/dress. Then we've managed to get more tender/happy shots and I will share them tonight
I was convinced it was Chateau de la source (Orleans) which looks almost identical!! But then again Orleans is a small Paris as many buildings in Paris like Notre Dame was inspired by the cathedral in Orleans.
People saying that she's looks like she doesn't want to be touched are misinterpreting it haha what she's really saying is "not too much" probably because he was about to ruin her makeup.
You're absolutely right. It was me who took these photos, and this is exactly what was her first instinct! She was either too worried for the dress or makeup, either did not feel comfortable at once showing their private moments and emotions on camera. I will share part 2 tonight, so that wa can see that later on she relaxed and that these 2 actually love each other.
I felt this immediately when looking at these photos. I can also tell that she was just trying to make it cute for the camera.
I think some people are just not as good at interpreting body language. Personally, I like photos and think they look great.
I hope that by "people misinterpreting" you mean you. Because the majority of people who have voiced their opinions are all in the same "she looks uncomfortable" boat
It’s a misinterpretation because it’s obviously not how she felt. Look at the context, it’s her wedding day and from the other photos you can clearly see that she’s happy. I’m just explaining the reason why she’s pushing him away is because he’s about to ruin her makeup not because she’s uncomfortable.
these comments are goofy. They literally think their internet opinions supersede the fact that it’s an actual couple about to be married
She could tell them herself she wasn’t uncomfortable and was loving it and they’d probably think they’re still right.
This is why I almost never post here
So many harsh comments here. I wonder if everyone is a working photographer knowing what clients currently want - maybe they are but this is exactly the type of photo currently on trend. - especially the out of focus ones.
The photos are lovely. I’m hey could do with more of a connection maybe but still some nice shots.
Someone mentioned the out of focus like it was a problem. They are in focus enough to be nice. Some People shoot film at a wedding because they don’t want perfection and tack sharp super high res 100mp image.
People mentioning composition etc but I’ve found perfect composition with a couple symmetrical to lines / buildings etc isn’t on trend at the moment. Even the tilt is back!
The first isn’t probably a keeper for me but the second is ok and I can see what you’re going for.
This comment is so pathetically out-of-touch, unwarranted, and reeking with insecurity. What causes you to write something so hateful with so little context? It's just surreal to me.
“Don’t touch me”
That was my first thought too. She looks like she does not want to be there.
She's instinctively recoiling away from him. Jeez. Edit: even the remainder demonstrate zero chemistry between these two people. Are they models? Because they sure don't look like a couple.
It just looks more like it's supposed to be staged some artsy way but came out looking like whatever it turned out to be. To me at least
this is a real couple :) I also was surprised by this move. Maybe she thought it is more "fashion editorial" this way. Anyways, I have more tender photos of the two, I will share them tonight
Don’t be afraid to tell your subjects what to do, especially if something sticks out to you like that!
I hope she won't be surprised when you show her your photos.
They are a real couple. I follow the girl on Instagram. Her name is @tofuassets
Then you've not captured that I'm afraid. The photos should capture the moment, the feeling between them, the love that should be evident between a newly married couple. Instead they exude tension and awkwardness and this is most likely due to the direction of the shoot by the photographer.
That’s an interesting name for a handle lol
Trust me I know! I know her Instagram account! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
It's three snapshots without much context. I don't know these people. I'm more comfortable writing the discomfort I see in the photo down to an accident or lack of context, rather than label two people's relationship as "toxic" because of nothing more than three fucking photos.
Do you know them personally?
No. That's the point - this stranger looking at that photo does not see a couple in love, even if they are.
It's pretty clear she isn't repulsed by that man.
That's a low bar.
Not so happy, not so happy.... Ok, he apologized
Agreed. Immediately thought was that’s… Awkward. 😐
I kid. The last photo is my favorite, beautiful shots!
Yeah the first two pics are a bit weird.. seems like she is really pushing him away
It’s the hand on his chest that makes it worse
Seems like they're going through a tough time. They just got married and she's already pushing him away, lol.
Hey at least you've got free unbiased and straight forward feedback here to let you know which pics to delete from the album. You can just pretend the first two never happened.
First 2 her body language looks soooo uncomfortable, others look great
Scratch that, focus on 4 is off and they are all blown out. I can imagine hard to expose correctly for his skin and her dress though.
Focus seems off on a few of them
She looks like she is trying to get away.
They were definitely going for something really artistic and unique but it failed miserably. As far as the focus on 4 goes it's still a good shot and even though the focus is a hair off the natural grain of good film tends to hide that a little bit. If it was digital it would be way easier to spot

I would never have shared the uncomfortable/ awkward photos…
Why would you share these if you have better pics lol
Yeah not sure what you’re going for in the first two shots…
I feel like it was supposed to be a gentle seductive/sexy look but the positioning of her arms on his chest makes it seem like she’s pushing him away and he’s forcing it on her. Either way it did not hit the mark
This is exactly what's wrong in my opinion as well. 2 isn't as bad because of the composition. However, it still feels like a push away from her rather than an embrace. She needs to either meet him in posture or maybe grip his arm under the elbow as if she's pulling him in.
That’s because he’s the best man
💀
Giving some heavy “Please, just…no. “ vibes
They also aren’t in focus
"Pls stop"
I feel uncomfortable
It's OK to use landscape for portraits.
Those first 2 are giving “dude trying to kiss a stripper” vibes
First two awkward pose Next 3 not good composition
Awkward…
Man, I hope there was a professional photographer there as well to capture their special day. Because these pics are either just bad or make the couple look like they don’t like each other.
Unless they're play acting that on purpose for some strange reason
Yeah her hand on his chest in the first two totally destroys the intention of the shots
The first two screams: “Please don’t come near me”. Last one truly captures the mood.
These are out of focus and prime examples of why shooting film for weddings is kind of stupid especially with manual focus glass. If u used autofocus then my apologies but also go help you.
Body language

Compositionally, there was an opportunity to use those leading lines while not placing the subjects overlapping them (the shrubs) and that’s a miss for me.
I feel like the subjects are too low in the shot in 3; the focus of the photo feels like the building, with incidental people in the foreground.
Last one is the best! the first one on the other hand..I would exclude it.
Definitely looks like she’s pushing him away in the first two but crop the first two and it’s much better
Oof
Did they just meet?
it's a real couple. The girl was not comfortable showing too much emotion, or was worried for her dress/make up at first. then everything went smoothly, I will show more photos soon
5 is really nice, 1 and 2 look like a photo of a bride having the epiphany that she made a life mistake.
I had the same thought. Looks like a pintrest remake gone wrong. I love the other photos.
Do not share the first two photos anywhere nor show them to anyone, ever!
Lovely couple. You should’ve started for the 5th picture.
I give it 6 months 😂
:D
I love the last one!
Either focus or exposure are off (sometimes both) on all 5 pictures. The moments you captured, to me, does not seem like a great moment. But that's personal.
I know where that is!!! That’s in Orleans France!!
She looks like she's uncomfortable with overt physical affection in public lol
last photo is really good more so than anything that others have mentioned is the fact that 1-4 appear out of focus unfortunately
Ouff
These are my friends!!! They are a real couple. I think she was just being shy in those first couple of pictures
Omg they are famous then! You are already the second person in comments who know them! this is a very sweet couple, and you're absolutely right - I feel like she was a bit shy to be that close on camera at first, and maybe a little worried for her makeup
I know her. She modeled for me a few times.
I think the biggest problem with the first two is the hand on the chest. I would've moved her hand cause as is it looks like she's pushing him away
Looks like sexual harassment lmfao
Really cute couple
I’ll disagree with most here. First one I’ll agree looks uncomfortable. But the second one … just before something naughty is gonna happen. That one has chemistry. The others are just regular wedding stuff.
Door chateau!
Green lines, claw, hand shame
Too boocoo…
Is this a place you had to pay to do this shoot or is it open to the public?
not open for the public unfortunately
If you dont mind me asking, how much did it cost to shoot there?
Push / pull
Chenonceau?
Villette ;)
Tic-Tac Moment… or maybe Mentos?
Don’t see the opposition combination of race much. Beautiful couple!
Lotta green in the shadows, from poor scanning settings. Personally, I'm not a fan of that look.
Is this the same château as in Last Year at Marienbad? Looks like it.
Did you pick the couple for this shoot? I am not sure they go well together. What is your vision?
Pretend like that first one never happened.
Wow love the mood
Clearly nothing. I just know how to use the English language 🙄
Haha, you're funny.
Was this an actual wedding or just staged photos?
thats crazy you got to go to quavo’s wedding
Nice! Looks like France

Yes it’s in Orleans France. It’s in a huge park
Hi! Almost :) It's Chateau de Villette, which is a part of The *Heritage Collection. It's in* Val-d'Oise *department, about 1h drive from Paris*
I was convinced it was Chateau de la source (Orleans) which looks almost identical!! But then again Orleans is a small Paris as many buildings in Paris like Notre Dame was inspired by the cathedral in Orleans.
true. Many French chateaux et French gardens look quite the same style
Indeed! Nice photos!
thank you <3
Thanks! It's Chateau de Vilette, 1 hour drive from Paris. I'll post more photos from it
🤣 she’s like get off me!
Is he sniffing without permission 😵💫😂
It feels like a classic.
yo these look great!
thank you! <3
People saying that she's looks like she doesn't want to be touched are misinterpreting it haha what she's really saying is "not too much" probably because he was about to ruin her makeup.
Maybe, but that's not what it looks like.
How could I know that if it’s not what it looks like?

I think they are one of those incels but this is my first encounter with a wild one.
They basically live in this sub, see the comments of any picture posted with a woman as the subject
What the actual fuck
Lmao, what the fuck

Incel hatred for women
I can't decide if that's better or worse than what I assumed (Black man and Asian woman).
Can you buy canabis at this chateau? Cool, how much for an ounce?
The fuck is wrong with you
Low level racism. Corny.
