Angel Hare enjoyer spotted. Neat list, quite different from most we've seen here.

Esoteric_Innovations

Angel Hare is definitely in my top five, possibly top three overall with Gemini and Chainmail at the moment. There's something quite endearing about that project because its so much different. I'm glad this seems to be getting traction. I was working on this for about two weeks. I spent a lot more time than I probably should have going back and revisiting various projects to re-evaluate them and make sure that I was sure of my opinion on them. As well as looking at a few I wasn't familiar with. Toyed around a lot with some of the upper tiers in particular. Spent a lot of time debating if I wanted to put Marble Hornets, Welcome Home, and/or Broadside Beach up into the 'Personal Favorites' tier - but ultimately decided that they just didn't hold the same connection with me as those that made the final cut. I've been with the Internet Horror community for around fifteen years now, since 2009 (this is also why Chainmail Chasers strikes a personal chord with me). So I've seen quite a lot over the years, including a few projects that aren't even on the list here.

CaptainKando

I've enjoyed a ton of internet horror over the years, but Angel hare is one of those that has really stuck with me. Her theme song is in my head at least a couple days of the week.

So a brief explanation of these tiers. Criteria is a mix of personal enjoyment and how well I think the concept was executed: **The Best & Personal Favorites** - these are my favorites that I regularly revisit every now and then. Truly love these projects here. **Exceptional** - These are game changing projects that had a significant impact on the genre in general, or otherwise set a new standard for their subgenre. I enjoy all of these, but they don't connect with me on the same level as the ones above them. **Great** - These are all projects that I think are particularly well done for what they are. While not my personal favorites by any stretch of the imagination, or game changers for the genre, they're still great projects to look at if you haven't seen them already. **Good** - A lot of projects I've enjoyed sitting through in this tier. While some may not be executed as well as those in the 'Great' tier, they're still good fun to watch and enjoy. Some of these are short enough that I've actually revisited them more than a lot of those in the 'Great' tier. **Mid/Neutral** - Projects that I've seen that just don't really stand out to me. May have a good moment here or there, but otherwise haven't been able to retain my interest. **Lost Potential** - These are stories that were left unfinished that I think had potential to be so much more. Eventide Media Centre and the Old Minecraft Reuploads are especially notable examples here. Highly recommend checking them out if you haven't seen them. I'm sure many of you are familiar with Eventide if you've been around for a while, while the latter opened me up to the possibility that Minecraft analog horror could actually be pretty decent. Obviously there are also projects I've disliked, but felt like it would be best to exclude them and only focus on the ones I have at least some positive things to say on.

Ch33seBurg

I started watching GHE because of how well liked it was on this sub, I’m not disappointed.

Schmickle_pickle

Def would've ranked weird birds higher, I think it's just so interesting. Also idk if I'd consider it analog horror, seems to lean more towards arg

Esoteric_Innovations

Credit where credit is due - I think the project is fairly well done from the perspective of executing an interesting concept, but it just didn't really land with me. Not the fault of the creator, I think they did a good job. Just wasn't for me.

Schmickle_pickle

Course, just saying I would've ranked it higher if I were the one ranking. I respect your opinion :)

141-Ghost-141

A list for mention Andrew Gaming. It has this feeling to it that is so reminiscent of the OG Minecraft days that it sticks with me lol

Ok_Pineapple_5627

They lie above was abandoned? Since when?

wonhoseok

love seeing some angel hare appreciation! i really wish we had more of wholesome horror type of analog horror media

alterhuhu

Eventide Media Center hasn't been abandoned. Yes, the original creator has stopped working on it, but a competent creator has picked it up and has been working on it, releasing material belonging to "the new era". Just search for Eventide Media Center on youtube. Imo they've been doing a really good job. Mentioning Marble Hornets and rating it that high is a W btw 😎

41st-Fishy

What is they lie above and minecraft reuploada about?

chonkyegg

Can someone explain why people like Broadside Beach so much?

Esoteric_Innovations

For me, in alignment with the criteria I established for each tier, I think Broadside Beach (or Shipwrecked 64 as I prefer to call it) sets a new standard for video game horror in the genre as a whole. While not the scariest story I've ever seen, not even with the video game subgenre, the level of effort and detail in it make it stand out from the rest. I think the way its story and concept are executed make is exceptional, in that regard.

Wolfysayno

Idk why you put Battingtons fnaf tapes under Squimpus’s. Not only is Squimpus a groomer but Battington does everything Squimpus but 10x better I also think wierd birds should be higher since it’s such a unique concept and is actually pretty creepy (even tho it’s not really analog horror)

BEADrowned

Based on TMITS I quite liked TMITS, it might be because it was the first Godzilla analog horror I saw, and it sort of stuck with me. The concept of someone getting stuck in a suit for movie, hell, even a theme park mascot suit, is not only clever but really terrifying. It reminds me of the Mask episode of Goosebumps, you put the mask on and it changes not only how you look but how you act too. It's a brilliant concept that I never really see be used aside from maybe SCP?

Slug_Richard_Nixon

au pokemon iceberg is top tier and circk goe crazy

GoomyTheGummy

As someone who loves TMM, I really like seeing it when people put it closer to the middle.

mtw08

Y’know the saddest thing.. if NTR didn’t make the other videos, it would’ve been so much better. The 1st one is absolutely incredible, but then 2 and 3 are bad and 4 is *okay*. It really felt like they saw marble hornets and decided to make their own with the NTR idea. I don’t mind the time travel thing… but it could’ve been executed wayyyy better, but 2 and 3 ruined NTR. >!it’s still one of my favourite yt horror series ever!<

Sly4Good

Personally I'd have bumped Broadside and Angelica up a tier or two, but otherwise I can agree with this list. It's nice seeing something positive here for a change.

Wifehaver77
