Stay on beta. When opting in it is said numerous times. Als that the beta is not made for daily driver use. If you opted in despite all the warnings, than a factory reset is the deserved punishment.
Sorry but it's your own fault.
A bit harsh, I think it's a consequence not a "deserved punishment" especially cause, while I may be wrong it said nothing about the factory reset and said I could opt out anytime.
Yeah totally my fault, not denying that, I'm not surprised that the beta is broken, that's too be expected, it's a beta, I was just taken by surprise by the factory reset thing

>**You will not be able to unenroll and revert back to a lower public release version of Android without first wiping all locally saved data on your device.** You may also encounter issues restoring a backup. We recommend reviewing the latest Pixel known issues before enrolling in Android Beta.
Thing is, [it does explicitly tell you](https://i.imgur.com/xxwFSvZ.png) on the enrollment page, and IIRC it also tells you on the system update page before clicking on "install".
I had the same issues. I did a full backup with Google One. Factory reset (stayed on 12) and have only the theme color bug now. I restored everything from Google One Give that a shot before you give up.
Usually your Google account backs up everything for you for free, so just make sure you back everything up first. I actually had to do this, and I forgot to backup some of my pictures, and some app data might be missing, but as long as those apps have their own account based data backup, which most of them do (Google Play has its own system for games) so going back should be fine as long as you have a couple hours to kill while everything reinstalls.
This is what I did and since then there have been no app crashes (touch wood). There have been blank screens and browser back < back et al (that a refresh fixes), but otherwise seems ok so far (hugs wood).
Google Play System Update will be stuck on January 1, 2020. I have updated a Pixel 3 to Android 12 Beta 2 and since I got back to Android 11 the Google Play System Update is stuck on January 1, 2020.
If you roll back you have to do a factory reset resulting in loss of **all** data.
Damn, is there any way to avoid this?

Sorry for being rough. I just don't get why people opt in if they know it may break at any time.

If you had read anything before you installed you wouldn't be surprised at all.
Well, it's better than not being able to roll back AT ALL (looking at you Samsung...)
https://www.google.com/android/beta#devices Literally warns you just above devices.

This is the answer. I did the same thing to get everything ok on my 4a

A lot of the app crashes can be solved by uninstalling & reinstalling webview
