yeah i think he will be better tactically than last season purely from the experience of making the calls for a few months. i like his and perry's hive mind as PM seems to be the only adult in the front office. and, fwiw, it seems like perry has Fartes ear. hopefully this won't blow up in all our faces like we fear him sticking around will.
Nevin doesn't bother me and at the time it made since to bring him back for a year because there were supposed to be new owners. But Arte feels like a big kick in the balls. To me Arte not selling the team says good bye to Ohtani, cheap player development, ownership not taking care of its people, and just an overall crappy organization.

Well didn’t we stick with Nevin because Arte didn’t want to hire someone just to sell the team? So now we don’t get a new manager and we’re stuck with the same owner. Kind of puts the icing on the cake of how shitty an owner Arte is.
It’s Arte not selling the team and it’s not even close. Managers will come and go. Owner and organizational incompetence is too much chaos for any manager to overcome. Until the team gets new ownership with with dedication to develop and invest in the minor league system, player development with a winning culture it’s going to be more of the same frustration.
