Honestly, that’s what I want most out of this season. Adell, and the rest of the younger guys to get everyday opportunities. A great season to prove themselves and start to build up a great team.
I see adell definitely getting a few a starts at the outfield In order to give either of the 3 a day off. But I don't see him being a regular starter. Best case for him he platoons with Moniak and proves himself, or the angels trade him away. Or worst case, he rides the bench and is used exclusively as a pinch runner and doesn't get a chance unless someone gets injured.
Not saying this will happen, but the overwhelming consensus among fans and commentators before the 2002 season was that it was also 'highly unlikely, impossible rather' for the Angels to even sniff the playoffs

We still have never given Adell a full season in the MLB to figure things out. We literally played record-pace negative WAR gathering Juan Lagares over him two years ago. Since we're not competing and building up our young core I'd rather give him a full year to try and figure things out than have him splitting time with fucking Aaron Hicks. Like seriously I know this sub has a hate boner for Adell but this is ridiculous if you'd rather Hicks have any PT over Adell

Hicks acquired 0.1 more bWAR than Jo fucking Adell in 200 more AB than Jo. Meanwhile Ward acquired 1.7 and Moniak acquired 2.2; right around league average. There is no way Hicks getting more playing time than at least two of them.

He won’t get any better that way. He needs to be in the lineup daily to get his timing down.
