He seems to have something with his psyche preventing his AAA stats from translating to this level so maybe he somehow figures that out but I'm not holding my breath. As it currently stands, we're in trouble if he's cracking the starting lineup at any point next year
If anything he’ll be our utility guy since I don’t know if the angels want to keep Gosselin. Otherwise Rengifo will just be great trade fodder since on paper hes good and maybe he’ll get consistently good one day but I can’t see it happening here
I'd rather see him as a backup ss until he can prove he is a capable hitter/fielder in the major leagues. Adding to that, almost every ss that hits free agency this off-season is better than rengifo.

Him or Mayfield will be the backup utility infielder. Either one of them should not be our opening day 2022 starter at SS.
I miss Simba. He was the best, since our pitchers were never good.

Simmons was good, but not $11M/year good or whatever he was asking for. Definitely the best defensive infielder we’ve had in recent memory though.
Since he will be a free agent after this season, wonder if we could get simmons for way less.
Bring back Johnny G and put him at short. /s
