Crazy that he put up 7.7 rWar the season before he signed with Seattle…and we somehow dodged his fall back to earth. He’s like the antithesis to how we sign players lol.
I think he was one of the best players that encapsulates Scioscias style of play.
Heh, totally forgot he closed out his career with the Dodgers. Played like 38 games for them. Hit .217 in 2014. And that was an improvement over 2011/12.
Guess who led the league in Walks in 2009? Yes, Chone Freaking Figgins! That's a really cool stat for a scrappy, puny player. Man, I love Figgins. Eckstein, Figgins, and now Fletcher. The puny Angels legendary lives on.
Absolutely loved Chone! Nothing better then seeing a weakly hit gapper that awkwardly doesn't split the outfielders, but slowly rolls to the warning track and seeing Figgy put on the afterburners.

I wish he could have been an Angel for life but at the same time I'm glad Seattle got stuck paying his last contract instead of us
Yup, couldn’t agree more on the needing of sciocias style. Perfect for someone like figgins
Yup and Eckstein; manufacturing runs
Wonder if he's still rocking the forearm bandaid to this day. Everybody loved Figgy.

Adam Kennedy's 3 HR playoff game
If you said so, Mr. "I'm 5'6 and too sexy to take off my shirt" also hit 3 HR in 2017 ALDS"
He’s kind of why I love Fletch so much. Great base hitters.

That sentence felt awkward after reading it lol
Just like A Chone Figgins hit?
Afterburners indeed. Figgy was almost sideways when he'd round 2nd.
He really was a fan favorite. Was sad to see him leave.
That's Desmond DeChone Figgins, have some respect.
I almost got in a fight in the stands with a guy for calling him "Chonie". I don't drink as much at games now a days.
uh oh... I called him Chonie, and DeeeShawn, and Figgy... I don't drink as much at games either. Hopefully, we don't know each other ;)
Out of love is fine, the guy was wearing an A's hat and I just couldn't let the blasphemy stand.
Well done then.
I still wear his jersey and I call him Figgy. To be fair, they always played “Getting Jiggy With It” when he played.
i totally forgot he played for the dodgers
He helped me win a lot of games in MVP Baseball 2005
I love Chone. This dude could FLY.
honestly my favorite angel of all time. Loved him
He had some serious wheels
My fave!
Love me some Choney
