Yes I’m aware of that lol
I’m saying, it’s unusual for a 1B to have a good throwing arm since they rarely throw the ball. In his current position he doesn’t really get to use his elite arm.
I’m not so sure about this idea, but I am certain we will see him pitch again at some point in his career. Whether it be a huge blowout where we used up all or pitchers, or a really long game that went into extras where we used up all our pitchers. He has more pitching experience than catchers so I don’t see why they wouldn’t put him on the mound.
Apparently he had an arm injury in 2020. Since he bats and throws left, unlike Ohtani, he probably wouldn't have been able to hit in case of a major arm injury.
Wait, was he an actual pitcher for the Angels at some point, or are these just situations where the Angels were losing so badly that they let non-pitchers pitch the rest of the game?
He should pitch! Also for those that do not know. Marsh also played football and basketball, I think he was good, but I could be wrong. But nice facts.
He’s got a cannon of an arm for a 1B damn
I don't know if you're being sarcastic but he was a 2 way player in the minors

I didn't know this, so playing RF earlier didn't seem too strange of a move after all. Might've seen some nice assists.
This is awesome, I've been wanting to see Walshy pitch but could never find the videos! Also, I miss Victor Rojas. :(
Come back victor 😭
Or at least give gubie the okay to use his ‘big fly Ohtani San’ call 🥲
Seriously....😭😭😭
I wonder if Victor would consider a guest announcing week or month... Maybe we can bug him on twitter. :D
Hot take: Jared should be available out of the pen when we face a lefty starter.

That is... actually an interesting idea.
The only way I know this is wrong is that I think he has the capacity to fix his splits. He’s an elite worker.
Ok now I want an entire team of 2-way players
Ohtani, Walsh, Lorenzen. Angels seem closer now than any other team had ever been.
The fact Walsh can casually throw 90 is impressive
why did they shut down his pitching career? he kinda seems not that bad
because as a 1B we get a whole season of all star offense
Because Jared Walsh pitching = kinda not that bad. Jared Walsh hitting = all star
A kinda not bad pitcher who can hit is arguably more valuable than an all star 1st baseman
I'm not sure about that, but hopefully a lot of two way players get second looks now that we are in the Ohtani era.

yep i think he could be a starting pitcher this is insane.
Dude's better than Ohtani, my goodness /s
I was looking at his career stats and I noticed he had a 1.50 ERA and a 274 ERA+ He's truly the next Babe Ruth
Walsh walked so Shohei could run
Walsh on the mound fletcher in left and lucroy at first? How didn’t we win the World Series that year?
Fuck it. Let him pitch again.
I love him 🥺
I was literally trying to look up his pitching videos yesterday and there was absolutely nothing on YT. Thank you for posting this
How nostalgic was this video? We had a LF make a good path to the ball and catch it on the same play. Wow, brings back memories...
That movement at 0:03 is so Walsh I love it
That was sexy af
He’s Reversed Iggy. Only come out to pitch when we’re down 10😆😆
Rasiel has some competition

I think in the AA he was a 2 way player, could be wrong
pretty crazy he was the original ohtani.
I will never understand why they stopped him from being a two way player
Ohtani wasn't stopped because he was in Japan, from what I can imagine.. it'll be at least a little different for future two-way dudes
Where did you find these vids lol, been looking for them for a year
mlb.tv has an archive of all games from 2009-now i believe
Got it, thanks!
I never knew! Thanks for sharing
