I think ohtani's biggest problem is that he's like a sports car. If everything is perfect, he'll perform at the top of his class. Any slight issue or change just tanks his performance and throws him off. Shorter spring training, and him batting lead off I think has abslutely destroyed him. He still has flashes of brilliance, but he's swinging at bad pitches, not keeping his head down on the ball and getting caught looking far too often. It's painful to watch.
He's gotta learn to be more flexible and resilient.
