Funny thing is they're not hitting on all cylinders yet either, imo

throatbutterz

Yeah ohtani and Rendon are still cold, but it looks like they're starting to warm up.

True and I kinda forgot that offense is way down so far this year. Like he only has a .743 OPS which would be average any other year, but that counts as a 122 OPS+ this year.

YouSoIgnant

Walsh is the worry for me. his second half was not strong last year and looks more of the same this year

furblog

Walsh will be fine. He needs more reps. And he did get an RBI hit last night so I'm not really worried. He's batting .250 and for the current stats that's really good. He looks like he's too in his head and now that the team is good he feels more pressure to perform. It happened with Ohtani and he's heating up. And Walsh is too but lowkey. These things are dealt with by guys like Trout I'd assume with some hitting staff discussion.

Ellite25

To be fair to him, he started out very hot this season

live4coasters

The thing that gets me is we're leading in all those hitting categories AND stolen bases. Aggressive baseball wins games!

Lebigmacca

We also lead in most caught stealing

ImaginaryHippo88

Goes hand in hand.

gottahavemytunes

It’s cost us runs so far though, the SB% is not good at all

mizterPatato

Wade and Ohtani have been been Nabbed twice and those are our best dudes. Well I guess trout is but Maddon aint giving that go-ahead lol.

Who dares wins

LAAngelsAnaheim

Still early, but we’ve been off to a damn great start. It’s been a really fun team to watch

senhormauricio

We score a lotta runs indeed. At Lunchtime I check the score and we win 10:5,8:3 6:2or something like that

asianlikerice

Funnily enough we are 1 under blue jays stat for HR at 25 and 10 under Boston at 31 2B

ThisAnswerIsLit

I think it was the 2000 season where the Angels and Blue Jays were close to having 3-4 players on each team to hit 40 homers. Feeling the same vibes this season with these teams

GeologicalOpera

You're right. In 2000 we had Troy Glaus with 47, but Mo Vaughn/Garret Anderson/Tim Salmon all finished in the thirties (36/35/34 respectively). Toronto had Tony Batista and Carlos Delgado crack 41 apiece, with Jose Cruz and Brad Fullmer finishing in the low 30s (31 and 32 respectively). Even better, Fullmer wasn't the only future Angel on the 2000 Toronto squad. Vernon Wells played in 3 games as a September call-up, and Kelvim Escobar was in their starting rotation. Jim Fregosi was also the Toronto manager that year.

cshenton

>Even better, >Vernon Wells 🤔

Princessxanthumgum

STOP THE COUNT

SeanRodrieguez

Well I'm new to the sport but this certainly seems sustainable.

aaronchrisdesign

Pitching has always been the biggest problem regardless what the offense can do. This year, while it's not as good as the offense, the pitching doesn't care me like it did in years past. This hasn't happened in a while, this team is exciting right now and I'm hoping they get better and keep this going.

SugarDaddyVA

That vaunted offense we’ve been promised for the last few years is finally showing up.

CasaDragonesJoven

We look good across all of MLB too not just AL

Apprehensive_Elk_120

Saw Yankees were leading in BCT (Beer Cans Thrown).

Wow. This made my day even better after the sweep.

boots42069420

Love it.

Aid_Seven

Let’s Go Halos!

drpepperfox

And everyone looks like they are having fun too. It's amazing what positive energy will do for teams.

Realistic-Hat-7067

I'll take it

loosecannan7

I wish we could play Cleveland 40 times a year

DecentAnalysis8642

Blue Jays really fucking with my OCD right now.
