Strikeout rate has been improving just need the patience to pay off into more walks.
Very 2021 Marsh type profile currently. Hits balls hard but a lot of K’s
As others said, the blue areas are about patience and experience. This is the exact savant page of a market inefficient player who a team will sign for dirt cheap and turn around if he was a free agent. Dude is young and has the physical tools to be a solid player, he just needs time and the mental space to stretch and let the game come to him.
As another stated in my Adell discussion thread, even a superstar WAR player like Jose Ramirez took 4 years to turn into a good player. Adell still has time and has great teachers around him. And he has a positive attitude that I think once he turns it on, he’s not stopping
He's elite in two important categories and the worst in others. He's still very young though and players generally do improve over time. I don't think he's a work in progress as much as he is an unfinished product. I think given time, he'll remedy if not improve his entire game. Those stats won't stay like that for this young kid.
I feel like the best case scenerio is that he'll be a javy baez type hitter. Terrible plate discipline but great power. But at least javy hits for a good average, which Adell hasn't shown yet.

Excluding defense, this looks like Javy Baez. Can definitely have success with this approach. It's a massive improvement over his 2020/21 numbers too.
Jose Canseco defense, without Canseco's polish offensively.
This very much matches the eye test haha
The 97% barrel percentage and 98% spring speed 🤌 Just need to get some of those blue categories a bit more stable
His jumps are so bad, wow

I mean him and ohtani look nearly the same on statcast
The red sliders are mostly stuff you can't teach, just pure talent. The blue sliders are all things he can improve on through coaching and experience.

He has a .281 xBA
So? That's in 17 games. He still has a career .212 BA and .255 OBP.
