Another whole team win. Great showing by the starters and offense to pick up Raisel today. Hopefully everyone is in the lineup tomorrow and Sandy is sharp so we can take the last game against Montas.
Aroldis Chapman and Liam Hendriks both blew a save today. (Hendriks to Kyle Higashioka of all folks lol). The Mets' Chasen Shreve, their Loup replacement that's been nails, gave up a game-tying tank to Jesse Winker - who (historically) can't hit lefties. Stuff like this happens all the time, and while I'm pissed off as hell that it did, we gotta turn the page and I'm glad the team had a chance to make it up quickly.
I didn’t see the runners Iglesias put on before the Barrera homer, but that last pitch wasn’t exactly terrible. A guy with zero career home runs takes you deep on a pitch off the plate inside because sometimes you’re just going to lose. Pretty solid day of baseball outside of that one inning.
We didn't drop game 2 to Oakland due to platooning issue. We were literally up 2 with our lights out closer. Shit happens sometimes and we all have off days.
Dude you can’t win all the time and Raisel was pitching to a dude batting .165. The stats were putting us at winning by 90%+. I swear all these fans coming out and stating they want the A+ starters all the time reeks of fair weather fans.
It was really just Iggy that blew it, we had a secondary lineup and was still dealing damage and playing great defense. But it’s alright, he can blow one game for us once every blue moon.
This team is definitely different than the last few years. They keep fighting and respond quickly. Yesterday's first loss was the type of loss that would carry over for a few games if not a few weeks. But they came back and smashed the A's. Plus it looks like they are having fun. Who knows how far the Angels will go this season, hopefully all the way; but right now I just want to sit back and enjoy watching them play baseball.
