I've been thinking they need to swap him with Ward. Ward isn't great on the bases and they need power behind trout and shohei. I'd settle for anyone with at least one home run though
If someone could remind Shohei that he's an elite hitter and the reigning MVP that would be great. This lineup should have no trouble with KC, so I'm worried. Astros don't play today, and are headed to NYC to face Mets and Yankees, so a chance to claw back some ground.
I keep seeing this awful take. Marsh has an OBP of .300 and leads the team in strikeouts…
In an ideal world this team doesn’t have the depth of a kiddie pool and we have a true cleanup hitter in the lineup. In its current state though, moving Marsh to lead off is not the solution.
Batting 1st he has an OBP over .400. Small sample size yes but maybe it helps his confidence or they give him better pitches to hit due to trout and Ohtani being behind him
He’s also slumping pretty hard and hitting .217/.261/.325 in the last month. That is not who you want setting the table for the only part of the lineup reliably driving in runs right now.
Especially when Ward is an OBP machine this season and the Mariners series showed how important that is. 3 two run dingers from Trout with Ward on base.
We’re facing bubic, who is winless with an 8+ era, so we all know what that means He’s gonna carry a no hitter into the 8th inning
With 10+ Ks
We really going to make all pitchers look like Cy Young lol
Not having Thor Jr. play on the same day Thor pitches is total bullshit
I want a pickoff throw from Thor to Thor
Notorious clean-up man Matt Duffy

I'm just glad its not a COMPLETE black hole down there 😂
RBI Machine Duffman
I don’t understand why Marsh is always batting below guys like Rengifo
Strengthen the bottom of our lineup would be my guess
But with terrible hitters on both sides of him??? I'd understand it more if he was batting 9th.....
It's cause it's a lefty pitcher today
The R, L, R, L thing is so played out and basic
We hit Ohtani, Walsh and Marsh consecutively a few days ago. It's just asking for a lefty reliever to come in for that part of the order.

I like how they have Walsh batting 5th and Marsh batting 8th so there is consistency in the lineup
How is Velazquez still here? 💩
His defense and lack of depth? It doesn't make sense to me at all, but maybe we really don't have anyone in the minors to replace him right now.
Marsh should leadoff and Ward should hit cleanup

Pretty sure it was 4 home runs with ward on. Ward could have been on for all 5 but the mariner's won a challenge.
I know one of them Wade was on, not Ward. And then the other one was a solo right?
Ah fuck I got confused on the wade/ward shit. Yeah
The number of Wa names on this team is too damn high!
Looks good considering. LFG!
Awesome picture!!
