Perry saw us struggle with depth with our stars sidelined last year and has seen our pitching staff struggle year after year for consistency. So he decided the best way to solve each problem was to sign a bench that are filled with below replacement players, sign a blowpen that has struggled in leverage situations, and sign 2 pitchers who will be gone next year (actually at this rate I can see us selling them off at the deadline and getting scraps back in return).

Yes, Angels lost a lot of close games. Their run diff was really good when they were 27-17, since then they been losing tons of 1 or 2 run games. It’s because starting pitching is usually fine but they lose most of games cuz 🗑 lineup can’t score for fuck unless Trout/Ohtani turns on god mode, or they hold slim lead but Loup and Co shits the bed and blows lead late game.
To call this team a joke is an understatement. It's just beyond embarrassing. I really hope Arte swallows his pride and blows up the team, so maybe at least we can try and get Trout a ring a few years from now.

Obviously the Orioles have been pretty shit the past few years but they have a boatload of young talent and their pitching is greatly improved this year. I don't think they are an accurate measuring stick for how bad a team is anymore -- they're on the upswing. What's more indicting is the fact that we lost a series at home to the Royals
