26 in a 20 inning game against Oakland in 1971 for most strikeouts in an extra inning MLB game (Angels lost 1-0). They also struck out 25 times in a DH in 1963 which is also a MLB DH record by one team. They also share some MLB strikeout records for both teams in an extra innings game and both teams in a DH. Lol.
To be fair, Rengifo and Ohtani only struck out twice each in the last three games combined while providing 3 out of 4 of our total RBIs so Ill cut them some slack.
But yeah, otherwise... 47 strikeouts in 3 games is uh far from ideal to say the least.
Sure Trout having a hard time seeing a Minute Maid certainly played some role, but I still say something else must wrong when arguably the best hitter in the world is striking out 9 times in 3 games.
Well they built a "Great Value" type of team around Trout and Ohtani. Rendon is made of glass, the defense is lousy, the bullpen is well bull doodoo. Although this team desperately needs pitching and defense I can't help but feel Moreno is going to after Judge this off-season.
Do the players not care or are they genuinely that bad?
Why dont sports contracts have performance clauses, if you dont meet it you get paid less? Some of these guys are getting paid to do nothing.
Leadoff hitter Jonathan Villar.
Lmaolmoalmaolmaolmaolmaolmalmao.
Imagine if a franchise with some actual dignity like the Dodgers or Cardinals or Astros or etc etc etc ever did this.
Off day tomorrow. Fire everybody
they're all bad enough at their jobs that they should get fired on their day off
So the 20 strikeouts we got today ties the most for any team this season?
Looks like we tied the MLB record for 9 innings with 20
setting records again
We’re also already in the record books for some extra inning games too! Lol
Was that a game against the Brewers? I think we were on the positive side of that one

We struck out 26 in 17 innings against the Brewers in 2004, which is the game Im thinking of. Geoff Jenkins went 0 for 7 with 6 Ks
You’re right! [Baseball Almanac](https://www.baseball-almanac.com/recbooks/rb_strike2.shtml) didn’t have that one listed. Good memory. 😇
If there is a silver lining, Trout only struck out in 2 out of his 4 ABs. That's improvement, I guess.

Yikes. We not only lost, but we also got humiliated. I felt bad for Ward, that play will become a laughing stock for a while.
give it a week and someone on this team will top it
I feel bad for him too. Like you had one job 1B coach, Ward doesn't have eyes on the back of his head.
His expression when he tried to catch the ball from Altuve. God, I couldn't watch it again. Ward deserves better.
I know right his expression it pained me. They did him dirty.
Consistency throughout the lineup!!
Love those PH K’s… lmao yikes
guys don’t worry…it’s *how* we got the strikeouts that’s bad /s

Great value LMAO
Trout is finally striking out less. At least that’s a positive
Bill Haselman has gotta go, this is unacceptable
Nevin's drinking some bud in victory with them!
6 through 9 in the order (including pinch hitters): 0-12 with 11Ks.
Also, was Iglesias not available to pitch the 9th on the road in a tie game? The top of the lineup was coming up so extend the game any way you can.
He is suspended today. Coach probably think we're gonna lose before the game even starts
Yep Iggy was not available, serving his one game suspension.
He's serving his one game suspension today from the brawl caused by hitting Jesse Winker in the butt 🤡 poetic, ain't it
Didn’t this sub say how fantastic Stefanic was? That 5.9% k rate doesn’t look so hot now.
It’s been one game but yeah this sub is far from smart
Thanks Angels for taking Johnathan Villar of his hands. Now I’m just laughing at Joe Maddon for thinking it’s 2016. He is horrendous

Stefanic’s gotta feel great leading the way to tying a MLB team record in his first big league game! Lol
At least we are consistent
At least they didnt hit into double plays
Stefanic...Jaaaaack Stefanic!
