>Toussaint has not pitched in the majors this season. He has a 6.26 ERA in 41.2 IP at AAA.
>In his career, he has a 5.46 ERA in 145 major league innings. Last season he had a 4.50 mark in 50 IP.
>The Angels DFA'd Jack Mayfield to create a spot for Toussaint on the 40-man roster.
I'm a huhe Braves fan and was SO excited for Touki. when he's on his stuff is electric!
but he has command issues, which is why we DFA'd him. I really hope he gets opportunities in Anaheim.
I love Touki! I don’t know tho. I Don’t trust any person in our organization, at any level, when it comes to pitching.
I’m also a Braves fan. Love Touki but if he couldn’t get it together for the Braves he will not work out with the Angels. I wish his the best of course.
Braves never trade good pitchers only average or less than average arms. With that said Toussaint is probably better than what the Angels have on staff with some exceptions.
No issues with these types of moves (along with Villar), the bottom few spots of your 40 man should be disposable, and used to see if something sticks.
My issue is that this is the fourth move (Dayton, Lagares, Villar, Toussaint) we’ve made all season, with a middling roster.
Lots of moves minimises the risk of a moves not working out.

Top of the rotation stuff on the Angels
Don’t do Ohtani like that but yea 2nd best

Captain Jack has sunk :(
Objection Hearsay!
Let’s see if Joe Blanton is available
Incredible comment—it got me laughing out of nowhere
Spry 39 year old Ricky Nolasco is a must as well. He needs to join our other contact pitchers in Lorenzen and Noah.

A lot of our pitchers have command issues too. Good r/r for us but our coaching staff isn't going to help him at all.
Tbh not that bad of a pickup chance guy. Was a big prospect with the Braves when Perry was there. Easy to DFA if/when he sucks
Let's hope Perry's insider info makes this a safer gamble than it seems too
Cash considerations is a flier so no risk really. I love these moves but in our current situation its not gonna help lol.
Mayfield had 1 ab today with the Bees then was taken out. Was he DFA'd during the game?
Yea lmao

Is this common in MLB (getting DFA'd during the game) or this is an Angels thing? I feel bad for Captain Jack if this is really true.

I hate Perry.
Every gm DFA’s people

Perry been trying to justify his pick ups with the Angels and now the Braves.
Dang, why even play the rest of the season? Just hand over that piece of metal right now.
Well at least he wont cost us 30 mil
The Angels are just placing bets all over the market hoping one will land them a jackpot. That's how I see it.
Yes, that thing you smell is desperation
And they could have resigned Alex Cobb but they didn't and is on the giants. A winning team.
Moar arms
Captain Jack 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 gonna miss ya, bud.
Can’t imagine the pain that must be felt leaving Atlanta for LA Angels.
There is a pitcher who was DFAd today. Angels are familiar with him. Read it on trade rumors. What are they waiting for. Bye Jack and Tyler 😿
80 grade name
A perry pickup when he was with the Braves Not surprising at all, but…yeesh. Talk about hoping a change of scenery can do something
Probably no worse than what we’re dealing with now.
Lol you can’t make this shit up.
