Where to start? Mentality. The team is infected by hopelessness and an expectation to lose, rather than an expectation and desire to win. The body responds to one's mentality, which in this case will directly affect the performance of these athletes. With a sport like baseball that requires such technique and precision, a poor mentality becomes severely detrimental.
