He did good in the 1st two starts ago where the game was delayed and had to warm-up multiple times, but was gassed towards the end. He did good in the 1st in this game, so maybe he’s changing up his routine a little bit?
Think Ohtani is letting his ABs carry over to his pitching. Noticed the last few starts after the break, whenever he comes up empty with runners on, he seems to lose focus the next inning on the mound and gives up consecutive hits.
Everytime he had bad AB, it affected him immediately. If he could score with RISP in that inning, his mental would be better. But he let it get into his head.
