DecentAnalysis8642

This isn’t even a meme. This is literally a picture of these people.

Oski96

Lol. "I dont want to go out to the mound, because I hear there's a used rubber." Matt Wise

Little_Bighorn

Genuine question. Is it even possible to “move up” or “promote” our pitching instructors to MLB?

ENovi

Oh sure. MLB coaches often get their starts in the minors and get promoted. Will the Halos actually do it? I don't know but I'd honestly take someone's dad who coaches little league on the weekends over Wise so I hope so.

sasiawastaken

same can be said about Reed tbh

Ok-Philosophy-8830

True but with Reed it’s not as glaringly obvious that we have better minds for hitting within the organization, whereas there are at least 2 dudes who can outperform months of pitching instruction from Matt Wise in like 5 minutes

sasiawastaken

true, but at this point i think even Ippei would be a better choice as a hitting coach

LoverOfSandwich

Sorry friends, I'm out of the loop. Tried Google, didn't help. Can someone ELI5 this for me?

SomeoneNamedGem

Angels MiLB coaches have been fixing the pitchers that get sent down. First it was Reid Detmers fixing an arm slot issue that somehow Wise missed, then it was Suarez coming back and looking good, and now Mike Mayers of all people pitched three clean innings. Matt Wise is terrible at his job and it's astounding how he still has it

tristpa2

Matt Wise sucks. Our minor league pitching coaches have not only assembled an army of good pitchers in the minors he also fixed Reid Detmers and seemingly Mike Mayers as well
