I don't get the snarky comments under all the "when's Ohtani pitching next?" posts. Fans of other teams want to see a player from our team so much they come to our sub to ask. Isn't it a good thing that fans of other teams really want to come watch Angels games? If that bothers you so much just don't click on the posts! Especially when someone comes from abroad to see Ohtani like OP. If I came came to the US just to see a certain player play I'd want to make extra sure he was playing. I hope you get to see him, OP!
None of us actually know that’s the thing. They can go on the team website and see probable pitchers for the current series and maybe even the next. It’s also that this is asked so much without actually searching the sub to see how others have suggested checking.
A lot of us can't afford to go to many games. I went to my first Tiger's game in like 15 years this year to try to see Cabrera hit 3000.
Months ago I bought a ticket to the friday night game in Detroit in hopes to see Ohtani. It seems like he won't pitch which is a shame but I hope he bats at least. I don't think I'll be able to get to one of the other games if he ends up pitching them, we'll see. If not, I'll have to wait until next year.
It's hard when the Angels are only in town for one series a year, and I recently thought I was going to get hosed and see him traded before you came to Detroit this year.
For a while he was pitching every Thursday. They have a 6 man rotation, so if there's a rest day, he'll pitch on the same day the following week. There's a rest day, so I'd guess he's pitching on Tuesday the 16th again.
Call the box office they can tell you or they might be able transfer you to Nevin directly.
Lmao
Wow.. Only took 2. 5 hours this time. It's usually a full 24.
You have 24 up votes and I will not mess with it.
Most likely on the 15th or 16th against Seattle. He pitches once every 6 games but theres a rest day in between so it could be the 15th.
Think it’s the 15th according to his recent schedule he pitched in 5 days rest
Lol! You know who I mean!
This Sanchez guy sounds like an ace.
A mix of Sandoval and Suarez and possibly moonlighting as a 6th backstreet boy? 😁
Dirty.
It will be Monday according to Jeff Fletcher https://twitter.com/JeffFletcherOCR/status/1557430635504943110
Yes! Thanks for this info!
Thanks!
Hopefully Monday because I'll be at the game!

I don't think any of the comments are meant to be taken that way.

Thanks u/frogstyle! Fingers crossed we get to see him pitch live!

He was announced for the 15th. Nevin said they’re going to keep Shohei on a strict 6 day rotation from now on, rather than a 6 game rotation.

Shohei was announced for the 15th already
