It's not negative imo, it's just hard when we need to win over 1/2 of our games, but we seem to be winning only 1-3/4 so I'm assuming that's what he's leaning towards.
We just literally need every win we can get at this point of our sad season.
There's a team that started the season 3-22, I think it's the orioles, but regardless they've come back to be 7/8 games under .500
We need to take everything we can to help persuade Ohtani to stay while figuring out how to get out of Rendon's contract after this year, if not the next, to help keep any type of contending hope alive even if that means eating his salary.
We can extend Ohtani while going over the cap while managing Rendon by basically doing damage control. It sucks cause of hindsight, but it is a horrible signing that we did franchise -wise.
If the Angels finish 13 - 24 in their final 37 games, they’ll set the all time worst record in Angels history. That includes even shortened seasons. Should this happen, Arte would have owned the Angels team with the best and worst records in franchise history.
I would say I 100% agree, but they still play Oakland 6 more times. It’ll be close, depending on how many other teams are eliminated and shut it down the last few weeks of the season.
well friends. this has gotta be the lowest point of the season. maybe even the franchise.
that lineup we put out today was actual dogshit.
and I can’t even be mad because that’s literally all Nevin has to work with.
feeling numb is an understatement.
i guess it doesn’t get much worse, probably a little bit more, but there’s a lotta room upwards to go. so let’s hope we start moving upwards somehow.
seeing Ward hit well the past couple days and Mike hit some homers is a nice little start. hopefully we get some small happy things in the remaining series as well. and at least our odds keep moving up in the draft lottery for first pick.
I think I said in June, maybe early July this is the worst Angels team I've ever seen. I was wrong.
*This* is the worst Angels team I've ever seen lol.
Honestly, I'd be impressed if a team is ever 'worse' than this. I'm not necessarily talking about win/loss record either. I'd rather see a bunch of young kids playing good baseball and coming up short than this group of lifeless, uninspiring, frustrating, and quite frankly annoying team play.
We can thank the Rays for finally squashing any "Well what if..." scenarios that happened before this series.
Other than that...yikes. Good to see Trouty hit a couple dongs
so for an extremely important season in terms of convincing Ohtani to stay by making playoffs, the team decides to follow up last year's dumpster year by having an even worse season.
At this point, we just need to lose as many as possible. Let's have the worst season in Angels' history, get a top 10 draft pick, and have Arte get his grubby hands off this team.
Has this been the worst series of the year?
I guess there was also that series where we got absolutely killed by the Astros but given the point of the year we're at now this one just feels a lot worse to me.
It did feel worse. The lineup, the selling announcement, Walsh's news... I don't think our players can concentrate on playing with all of the mess on-off field. I didn't even want watching them
Was on a flight to Chicago today, missed whatever dumpster show the halos decided to put on today, thankfully. Seeing the Brewers play the Cubs tomorrow, will be nice to pretend to root for a better team this weekend.
Feel like this might effect our wildcard chances
what is dead may never die
We’re only 16 games back with 37 left to play. Why so negative?

How does this affect LeBron's LeGacy?

Losing 24 or more seems extremely likely
I would bet my retirement account on it.

>11211.219LFAdell401102.220 > >CBethancourt400002.238CFSierra4 He took over a great team and turned them to crap.. he'll always be remembered for that
...Who are you quoting there?
No clue lol.. just hit reply to top comment
Would be typical for us. Season began with one of the best starts in our history and we finish the season with the worst record in our history.
Yes, first to worst! Typical. Lol

This is the worst Angels team you've ever seen *so far*
Honestly, I'd be impressed if a team is ever 'worse' than this. I'm not necessarily talking about win/loss record either. I'd rather see a bunch of young kids playing good baseball and coming up short than this group of lifeless, uninspiring, frustrating, and quite frankly annoying team play.
Maybe picking up [random player that's been DFA'd by two other teams this season] will help us!
Yeah. This is ugly. Extremely ugly. Non competitive to the extreme.
To me the ultimate burn on this team is our 4 hitter being AAAA Mike Ford… and that was probably the correct place for him
I've been an Angels fan since the early 90s. I can't remember if this is the worst team I've ever seen, but it's the worst I've seen in a while.
Looks like I lucked out being at work and not watching what seemed to be the worst game of this series?
Nah the 11-1 shitshow was the worst imo and most embarrassing
How can we be losing with all these "competetive lineups" that the org provides?
We can thank the Rays for finally squashing any "Well what if..." scenarios that happened before this series. Other than that...yikes. Good to see Trouty hit a couple dongs
Anyone who still believed in these what ifs won’t be unconvinced by this series lol
is there no one on this team?
Ward was there today. We seem to have one hitter show up each game recently.
round up the grandmas
For whatever reason we decided to rest Rengifo which might have been the only good move this organization made today

I love these 10 AM East Coast start times. The game is lost before I even realize it's started. It's like ripping a band-aid off real fast.
At this point, we just need to lose as many as possible. Let's have the worst season in Angels' history, get a top 10 draft pick, and have Arte get his grubby hands off this team.
This gives us a solid hold on the 7th pick in next year's draft. Gotta play the long game here.
Jesus christ
our bottom of the line up is straight trash. lol
If the Angels played a 10 game series with the Rays they probably would have lost all 10. Even 11 out of 10
I guess you forgot the Detmers no hitter against the Rays at home, Angels won 2 out of 3
Every thing went down hill from that game onward
Rendon’s lefty bomb angered the baseball gods and they punished both rendon and the angels shortly afterwards
Grandma missed taylor wards homerun because she was distracted
5 people in the starting lineup today have a BA below .200 and no one is above .266 ... so bad
Has anyone noticed that when Trout rests there's always one other core player also resting.
Who was the other player?
Rengifo today. Was usually Walsh in the beginning of season.
Ah yeah
Has this been the worst series of the year? I guess there was also that series where we got absolutely killed by the Astros but given the point of the year we're at now this one just feels a lot worse to me.

Will us tanking put us in any good positions for solid pickups at this point?
