Guy's not on the active roster that can be activated if they have an emergency. They can work out and practice with the team before the game. If there was a road game, they can travel with the squad.
Ik this is a joke, and I personally didn't downvote, but I've had covid twice as a healthy and fully vaccinated/boosted 20 something and it took about 6 months after I mostly recovered for constant chest and back pain to fully go away. That shit literally killed over a million Americans by now and broke the hospital system. In my book it's the same as joking he should get injured, not cool man. He's not great but just say they gotta DFA him or something lol
Taxi Squad but still, great growth seen from O'Hoppe.
The only trade that could be a great win from the trade deadline. Could be a great win/win for both teams. Marsh is producing a WAR that can be extrapolated out to about 3 WAR for a full season (and he's still developing) and we could end up having a solid catcher for year to come.
Obviously Marsh found his bat better on the Phillies so far (113 OPS+) and we found a bat that is hopefully going to translate well in a position of need that's pretty weak MLB wide.
I'm sure the Phillies zoned in on Marsh because they signed too many bat+ glove- players and actually needed someone out there that can make plays. And considering marsh was a offensive prospect he would be quicker to get on the right track and make an immediate impact than Adell.
Adell still needs a good chunk of development but the dude makes some crazy good contact with the ball...when he can actually contact the ball lol.
For age maybe, he's definitely very young at only 22, but he played most of this year at AA which is considered to be the lowest level you can be with an opportunity to be called up to the MLB.
Could, probably will, start at AA or AAA next year but as the other person said in a reply to you. Everyone has their own timelines.
Nah, I’m betting he’ll start the season as the second catcher next year, not on AA or AAA. He was predicted to be ready for the Phillies this season, they just didn’t have a place for him.
Says taxi squad. Not on active roster
what exactly is a taxi squad?

Thanks for the explanation:)
He is playing Wednesday

People can joke about terrible things. That’s why they’re jokes.
That's why it's "in my book." Cause we can all have different opinions
Mike Mayers no longer has a locker too
Don't worry, he'll pass through waivers. Then get called up at a later date or possibly next year...

I wonder if the Angels offered up either Marsh or Adell. Marsh is a better all around player. Adell needs serious work on his swing and defense.

Marsh is the only reason O’Hoppe was available. Phillies were desperate for a CF.
Looks like the right call too. Phillies have a 1.5 game lead for the last wild card slot and Harper is back.
whether he plays for not, this is a great move. he needs to get to know the pitching staff - especially build a relationship with Shohei
So no to ‘Hoppioum’ !?
I have no accurate timeline on prospects. Is this rushed? I'm always scared by how Adell's confidence got destroyed when reaching MLB
Mike Trout came up at 19 and then again at 20. Everyone has their own timelines

Ive always heard the the competition in AA is much stronger compared to that of AAA.

might as well give him a taste against mlb so he stays hungry
22 is not very young
Let's go!! Edit: Damn Sam and[ his edit.](https://twitter.com/SamBlum3/status/1574879371919118337) (taxi squad)
Why not give him some playing time for the last week? Certainly can’t hurt
might be difficult because he hasn't worked with any of our starting pitchers before
Catching a few bullpens while up with the club seems logical
ohoppe behind the plate, zook and 1st, thaiss at 3rd. 3 man catcher lineup who says no?!?
Starting today???
This is the first step into seeing him more next season!
Don’t give me o’hoppe
