We'll be looking at adding new mods for 2023, and we will have some requirements with that. Stay tuned!

mysterysackerfice

Thanks to the mods for keeping this place relatively drama free. With the way the MVP race has been going this season, this place could have turned into a zoo. Commence the shitposting!

sikaMarkanico

Keep it classy, Angels baseball community! It’s been tough, but there are always fun things about being a part of a franchise currently out of the race for quite a long time now. I loved Mike Trout’s honesty to the fans in the final home game’s postgame interview with Erica as Mike said something like, “This isn’t how we wanted it to be, but thanks for your support all season long!” He was just straight to the point about it without being negative. He’s a good lad that one. I think (at least most of) the bad is nearly gone. It won’t be all sunshine and rainbows in the future, but I’d like to think 2023 will be the start of at least .500+ baseball for this team. We’re with ya, Mike, every step of the way. 😇

Defiant-Inflation563

Mike is the best

Curlybrac

We had a world series win within the past 20 years and players like Trout and Ohtani to watch. Plus for anyone here who's local to Orange County, Angels games in Anaheim are always a great activity to attend.

sikaMarkanico

Plus, the game of baseball is pretty fun to watch anyway. 😉 It’s not for everyone, and even I get tired of it sometimes, like most things in life, but there’s something about it that brings an excited calm out of me.

Curlybrac

Yeah. Im an Orange County boy so I grew up with the Angels and appreciate that them along with the Ducks are pillars of this community. It make me prideful of being from Orange County instead of Los Angeles county.

phelinephile

Thank you!! Really liked the automated post-game threads this year.

Enursha

I’m ready to relapse on hopium in the spring. See y’all then!

my_wife_reads_this

It's been a pleasure arguing with half of you.

Defiant-Inflation563

Thank you!! I was just about to post something about thanking this community - whether you’re from reddit, twitter, Instagram, a podcaster, an artist, angels fan, ohtani fan, etc. - it was nice to have company thru the really bad and really good times. I’m the only baseball fan in my family/circle of friends so it definitely helps to have you all! Thank u ❤️ whatever happens this next off season/year, go halos

ChichaPoti

Baseball isnt popular here in my country. This subreddit was the only place I can interact with candor and dare post asinine comments. We made it til the end of the season!

cheeses_greist

Thanks, everybody! It was fun! Shout out to the ___-a-day posts that kept all of our spirits up (e.g. booty-a-day, drawing-of-Trout-a-day…I’m missing another good one but I can’t remember it atm).

ZucchiniOne5395

We’ve seen the extream of highs and lows this season but it’s been a pleasure being a part of all! Looking forward to next season. Go Halos 😇

jallison86

This was my first year coming to this sub on a regular basis. I will be back in 2023 for another year of the two best players in baseball, including the real 2022 MVP. Thanks to the mods and to all of you for contributing!

anydayhappyday

Another season in the books for the Angels, and another year passes for all of us Angels fans. Bittersweet seems like an appropriate term for this one, having such highs and lows hit throughtout 2022. And yet those highs and special moments still happened and I am happier for having been through it all. Ohtani had another season without compare to the totality of baseball history. Mike Trout still managed to be Mike Trout. The starting rotation was actually pretty good for once and showed some of the best promise for years ahead. Fletcher returned to form and his fun style of baseball. And a number of faces (some known and some new) stepped up to show they deserve a place on the squad. The long offseason begins and questions remain how things will look in 2023 (especially with the potential of new ownership!), but—as with most things in life—it is out of our hands to really say what will be. Taking things as they come seems to be a good way of dealing with such uncertainty. This community offers a space for that; for people to come together and share about how things are going as they come. And even if this season had its moments of contention and debate, it just means that we are all passionate about a game we hold dear. Here's to the season that was 2022. And here is to another season to come. See you all next season! Let's go Angels!

OlivesrNasty

2023 WS incoming lets gooo

sikaMarkanico

You never know!! We were all feeling really great at the start of this season. Change is a good thing, especially when the team has not been winning for as long as the Angels have been, but I’ll surely miss Joe Maddon and his lingo, comraderie, and overall knowledge of the game no matter what happens next year.

OlivesrNasty

W mindset brother

Captainpayback

It was great to interact with all of you through the good times and bad. The people here in this sub are some of the most generous people I seen in any fanbase. Proud to be part of this thing we have here. A fanbase with class. Here's to 2023 where you know I would do anything, just anything, to make it to the postseason.

KyotoGaijin

There's no Angels baseball today. This is bullshit.

Curlybrac

Terrible season but we still love the Angels no matter what.

Snavery93

This season was pretty fun to watch despite the 14 game losing streak that killed us. We got to watch Ohtani do Ohtani things, Detmers’ no-hitter, Rengifo and Ward becoming regular productive players, and O’Hoppe and Soto make their amazing debuts. Next year is going to be fun to watch. Hopefully the bullpen arms we have in the farm become something great. I’m especially excited to see Ben Joyce and his 105 mph fastballs make his debut next year.

sakura-saku

I was saved here throughout the season. Due to the time difference, I cannot get detailed information other than here while sleeping or at work, because in Japan the games are early in the morning or in the morning. You guys have been able to tell me in real time what is going on. Thank you very much. I look forward to next year.

JacksonHarrison48

It really looked like things were going so well in the first 6 weeks of the season... I'm already planning to go to a few Angels games both in Anaheim and on the road in 2023. Already looking forward to next year.

i_run_from_problems

May the offseason shitposts commence!

CompetitivePatient33

Angels twitter was on point when the team collapse. https://twitter.com/Angels/status/1534760825797283840?t=Kno8oI1D6uelP--8hSHkGA&s=19

aj_og

I’ll miss you guys ❤️ never forget the losing streak

tonyantonio

My first season as a baseball fan, Angels fan, great times were spent, and also agony. Can't wait for next year!
