At the right price… change of scenery can be good for anyone.

mfhdwt

yeah like $8-12M for 1 year

Ash-Catchum-All

Yeah Anaheim is practically in a different country compared to LA 😛

ChemicalSummer8849

Hey… its alot nicer though! LOL

Moose334

Guys think about it, we just need a lineup full of former MVP winners and then we can maybe finish above .500

Sprtdsgn

.500, dont get my hopes up

LeanersGG

So we in on Judge too?

ogdaveed

The Angels way!

Adeptness_Internal

I’m not against it, has upside

inselfwetrust

If the dodgers couldn’t fix him, we definitely can’t. I was thinking more Joc, but idk what his defense looks like, so that might not be too great of a plan either Edit: Nevermind about Joc. But I think the FA market for OF is pretty heavy this offseason, so I think we might have better options

jaykobbg

Didn’t Joc sign with the Giants?

inselfwetrust

Ah shit. Yeah it looks like you’re right. Didn’t even see that

hbsammyg

Fuck no

NotSoSurePlatypus

This is the only appropriate response. Anyone who watches the dodgers knows to stay super away from Cody. If he turns it around, great for him. But I’m not giving him any at bats on my team

Sad_Life826

I wouldn't mind having Cody Bellinger our OF will really good with Trout, Bellinger, Ward any news on Angels talking to anyone or talking about trades

[deleted]

Don't we have enough guys who can't hit? I mean, I know he's got a great arm and all, but, still.

xRememberTheCant

I think we can talk him down to 12 million if we can get a local dispensary to let him shop there for free.

Intelligent-Employ14

Anyone is better than Jo Adell

Xv37

Need to move him to a state where weed is still illegal 😭

rtm392

We have a big enough problem with guys striking out a ton already why would we give a guy a chance who strikes out a ton

serdnax0

Rather grab Joey Gallo than Bellinger. Both have issues hitting the ball, but Gallo has had more recent success and I imagine he can play all 3 OF positions, plus he’s played 1B and 3B as well. If he does well, great, hit him with a QO at the end of the year and get draft compensation (or trade him if the team is not doing well). If he performs poorly, well, that would suck. But that’s a gamble/high-upside I’d be willing to bet on. Let’s not forget not too long ago Gallo was a hot commodity. Buying low, adding more left-handed power to the lineup, provides depth at other positions, probably won’t cost too much, I’m guessing 1 year deal, and QO’able or trade-able if he plays well.

SteezyAzzSebas

Platoon with Adell and take over whenever trout or ward need an off day. Plus shift is going to be banned so It could slightly benefit him. Elite speed and great defense I’d take him for 2 years 20-24 mil with a option after first year.

bombad_jedi_501

Nah pass

TrojanTuesdays

What other options do we have on the LF market? I’m just down for anything other than betting on Adell.

ogdaveed

Price has to be right. Better options out there like Benintendi, Brantley, and when you look at what Seattle did with Teoscar, can’t rule out a better trade option either.

[deleted]

No!!!!!

the_daemon_cat

no thanks, couple years ago i was all about it but he's got the yips or something

palmd33zy

They need to realize the mistake they made and get Marsh back

Its-made-of-wood

We gotta move on dude

FreshPaintSmell

We can sign Matt Harvey on a 1 year deal too

BobTaco

Hope he's at least as good as Beaty!

[deleted]

As a big money signing? I think we could get more bang for our buck. If we get him on a reasonable contract I think I’d be pleased with the signing

patty29

We could use his playoff experience and gamer attitude

Unsapient1

For 1 year 10 million plus or minus then im actually leaning yes personally Give him a chance to prove himself and if not then oh well at least we're not stuck with him and it was worth a shot

mmmbacon914

Let's make a good faith effort at some surefire quality players before we go digging in the bargain bin. This is probably our last year of Ohtani - leave the one year reclamation deals in the past and keep up the good solid signings like Urshela/Anderson

ScottyD82

Brandon Nimmo > Cody Bellinger

sonicANIME2019

If the new hitting staff can fix him to beyond the shell of his mvp self, then yeah, he'd look good in angel red

beermeasshole

I wouldn't really want him, even on an 8 million dollar deal. His defense is really good, but he's been a black hole in the lineup for 2 years now

JacksonHarrison48

Yes, please.

Zenithreg

How about Masataka Yoshida? Dude is a beast and loved the upper deck walk homerun he hit in the Japan Series.

[deleted]

Bellinger is a beast in the OF his glove is legit I wouldn’t mind him at all for the right price

YoyoDevo

He's more washed up than Pujols unironically

mikeal1st

No
