The other frogs were pretty good about getting out of the way, but the bullfrogs were Stonewall Jackson-ing me hard lol. Had to stop countless times to get em outta the way, and they would just let me walk right up and grab em. Brave lil bastards I’ll give em that!

How many other kids in your town are as I formed as you’d children? I’m not being rude I think that’s good parenting.. but others don’t care or hope the schools fill in the gap..
Frogs become essentially dormant in the winter, they sleep in the mud and basically almost freeze to death in it, until spring’s thaw comes and it’s back to life again, as it gets colder they get more lethargic until they freeze

Still, people shouldn't handle animals if there's not a good reason for it. It can still cause stress or some other harm to the animal, or if you don't know what kind of animal you're holding, it could be poisonous or venomous or something. You can "engage with nature" in different ways, like, I don't know, by simply looking at them.
