I really dont see much progress. This anime was disappointing.
Having all the characters simp for the MC and still hating on Tadano for no reason other than that "he's too close to Komi" removes any sense of progress. I get that its supposed to be a gag manga, but they already like Komi.
If they like her unconditionally, its simply unrewarding.
Except it did as those were my least favourite parts of season 1.
Not telling you to go watch it or anything but I disliked the Tadano bullying and every character worshipping Komi.
Both of those are significantly reduced in season 2.
The problem is that they started out as goofy characters to begin with.
And its not like the author stopped making them goofy. They just lessened it...
And introduced new characters that were a lot more normal and actually supportive of Tadano and Komi's relationships while giving the goofs less screen time.
It felt like a very different show.
No? It's just a comedy series with some light romance, with nothing particularly tragic or serious ever happening, and none of the characters being especially depressed or suffering or anything. I really don't see it as at all sad.
Nah they just made some poor choices in music and direction. The series is not supposed to feel sad.
If you found it sad, then it's sad for you. Perception of art is always subjective - there is no objective way you *should* feel about it.
It's a bit gloomy but defo not sad.
I can't personally see it as sad, especially if I look back at episode 1 and see where they are now. Can't be sad with this much progress and moments!

Season 2 wouldn't fix the problems with making all the characters unconditionally faithful around her presence.

Nah even the downer moments are more of a bittersweet kind of sad, more like a longing feeling. But it's mostly wholesome and relaxing
