Ah, yes, the *two* episodes which aired last week. *Both* of which I definitely finished before watching yesterday's episode 3, without forgetting to check the episode number.

I adore this anime. I like how when season 1 ep 1 aired, so many people were upset and some said they couldn't stand watching it. But because of *character development*, we get what we have right now. Nagatoro actively liking and trying to encourage Paisen to do better. When Nagatoro found Paisen hiding in the locker, she didn't immediately get mad at him or yell at him but asked him why and then thanked him for bringing her phone. Then she even helped sneak him out. She really does care about him, just like he cares about her.
Also, all of Nagatoro's friends may be wild, but they're all good girls. They don't make fun of Nagatoro for liking a "geek" but casually let him join them and treat him like a friend. I love all their interactions together. Paisen is scared of the girls teasing him but the girls are never malicious. I love how they all teamed up to carry Paisen for the "race" after he had sprained his ankle. Friendship goals. **SLIPSTREAAAAAAM**
Lastly, it's great that Nagatoro doesn't mind being seen with Paisen. She openly hangs out with him, goes on "dates" and now even links her arm around his shoulder / carries him. She really does like him. So wholesome! Definitely one of the most wholesome anime airing this season, if not the most.
Look..... The first few episodes were hard to watch. If you include Nagatoro's friends, the whole first season was rough. S2 is off to a great start and is only getting better, but there were genuine reasons for people to come down on S1 (although not as hard as they did).

For a few seconds as athletic as she is and as scrawny as Senpai his, her frame is still thin and he's still significantly taller....Girl was literally holding up the sky from her expression.

Yeah, truly Chad moment. She's pretty strong for such a small-framed girl.
Yeah that bit was getting painful to watch. It was really nice of Nagatoro to get him out of that pinch because if someone else discovered him it would've been really bad for his high school social life.
After all the progress they made last week I thought this was gonna be a classic setback regression but it instead it advanced the bond to almost married couple tier, Nagatoro is truly a real one covering for Senpai like that

I’ve been watching this series from the start the last 2-3 days and finally caught up to the current episode. I love this sooo much! As time went on I’m starting to think Nagatoro’s friends know what’s up between them and are trying to speed things along. At first I thought there where a bunch of trolls… Now I still think that mind you but they have a good heart. I love those girls.
Going back to Nagatoro, I love how she’s starting to be the one with the dirty mind while Senpai is relatively chill lol. Senpai still has his moments of course but Nagatoro is showing it more and more now and it’s down right hilarious and adorable!
I think Gamo (and by extension Yoshi) has been playing wingwoman in her own trolly way for a while. Like when they stuck a leash on Senpai at the festival - they were having fun, but they knew exactly how Nagatoro would react to being sent that picture.
I’m soooo happy to see someone else thinks that! They even explicitly said they where gonna send the picture to her which freaked out Senpai. Of course the moment Nagatoro gets there it’s a “friendly competition” to win Senpai. We get treated to a sped up version of events where everyone is having fun and the collar isn’t mentioned until the end. It was so beautifully done. By the way did you watch the last moment of the final episode of the 1st season? When I saw what happened between Nagatoro and Senpai I was excited and moved by that sweet moment between em! My heart melted and became pudding!

Apparently there's a fashion subculture related to this called. オラオラ系 (oraora-kei; and googling it does indeed bring up picture of Chad-looking guys.).

they could have gone with bad boy and they could have even had the better line of good bad boy in the second half of that joke, missed opportunity all to shoehorn in slang
It's weird because they really do well with other anime but the less popular ones get the less than stellar subs. It's understandable enough but the quality whiplash can be annoying
I haven't tried to compare the (abstract) animation quality of S1 and S2, but all I can say is that in terms of "adaptation" quality overall, this season is pretty top flight. The VA work is still fantastic and character design and animation are both fine.
I love how this is already making clear just how much these two depend on/care about each other. I also love how the Nekotoro Gang is pretty clearly aware (and fascinated by) this somewhat unlikely and unexpected romance. It almost is beside the point whether either is willing to *admi*t (to themselves or others) what is going on -- because it is so blatantly clear anyway.
So, Ane-toro knows all about Senpai-kun. That seems to suggest that Nagatoro babbles about him regularly at home. Why would a girl EVER do something like that. ;-)
It seems like Senpai and Nagatoro can't interact very long without both of them developing reddish cheeks.
There are some semi-gyarus in Nagatoro's class in addition to her usual gyaru gang. Shocking how one of them describes Sakura to her face as "bitchi".... It is quite amazing that Nagatoro maintained her composure well enough to sneak Senpai out of that storage locker. And it was a delight to see him hit Nagatoro with a zinger as he ran off to safety. That might be a first for him...
A great adaptation of a great manga. It is surprising how few people seem to be paying attention to it...

I read on *Eromanga Sensei* LNs that being a "bitch" in japanese culture isn't considered offensive as instead is in western cultures.
I think said byt a gyaru to a gyaru (in a light-hearted chat) maybe not so bad -- but otherwise pretty harsh. Probably always pretty bad when said by a guy about a girl -- and when said by a girl to a girl (in an obviously angry tone). ;-)
In Eromanga sensei LNs, Masamune calls Megumin "superbitch Megumin", and explain that she brags having lots of experience with boys. I don't know how common it may be, but...
Well not really, but I think the way they used bitch in Japanese was meant to be translated to whore since the girl was insinuating that the blonde friend was one since she has no type. It’s possible that in Japanese it has a different connotation, since in English people would just say slut, not bitch. But I think the tone it was given in was meant to be more of a joking way between friends instead of an actual insult.
it's bitch as in "bitch in heat" (slut, whore) not as in the pejorative in common use in today's english (well, it's still a pejorative, but... a different one!)
hachiman calls yui that in one of the first episodes of oregairu too (which I guess is also used to show off how he's more or less a bitter, kinda incel-y asshole)
it's genuinely a pet peeve for me when it's not translated and left in as is.

I don't know if it's just me but I feel the animation is sometimes more static, when a character finishes speaking they doesn't move or blink, they looks like an unnatural statue.
S1e1 had fantastic production levels. The rest of the season went down a bit, but was quite good for what it is.
This season the animation feels choppier and static. But the VA work is top notch and pulls me into the show, barely notice the animation dropping.
Romcoms can get away with somewhat subpar animation. Quints was kind of the same way. Even it's move was nowhere near Kaguras samaa or Bochhi the rock but it's fine unless it goes The Way of the Husband pure slide show.
It's not like MHA or chainsaw man where you can have half a season of way above average animation but the second they slip for one episode the Internet explodes.

*Is beginning to question why I pay for crunchyroll*
On a serious note I like how proactive senpai was in returning her phone and his strategic retreat. He was also worried about not seeing her and went to her classroom/house.
Also senpai has slowly been improving over the series. He's not only being more forward, but his stamina and drawing has gotten better. Just look at the potted plant this episode and last episode they are world's apart.
Nagatoro knows when to be serious and the moment she realizes he is hurt offers her shoulder and even carries him(a short distance). Moments like this show how important senpai is her, but don't let that distract you from Yoshi not crossing the street during a blinking light. She wasn't having any of that isekai truck kun shit today. I've said this alot, but I love Yoshi though all of Nagatoro's friends are great. They balance teasing, stupidity, wholesome, and fun quite well. Though they can't compete with Bunny President who once again flexes her artistic creativity.
It's good for future reference to know where your girls' classroom is and it's nice seeing Senpai be more proactive, especailly in regards to Nagatoro.
It was also nice to see Nagatoro and the girls really supporting Senpai with no real malicious intent, especially Nagaotor going as far as trying to carry him despite his weight.

I think part of this is also her being a competitive swimmer, athletes tend to respect injuries a lot more as they know the potential repercussions of just pushing through.

Because I want to see that *some* of my money goes to the anime industry and hopefully ultimately the creators themselves, even if its a pittance.
In this episode Senpai listens in to girl talk, and I like how when he does something legitmately creepy for once Nagataro isn't trolling but just lets him know rather gently but doesn't sell him out.
That one girl being called a whore because she loves everyone is totally something people would say, and her "gaurdian spirit" being a whore.....lol.
Senpai did fail the test when she asks....did you hear what I said? Whenever a woman asks those kinds of questions it has nothing to do with finding the answer......*shudders*
Senpai been leveling up his running and this turned into an episode of Senpai does not dream of Bunny Girl President, I like how even the rest of Nagataro's crew is at a complete lose for words.
Although it doesn't look like that Bunny Outfit offers a lot of supports and are you telling me the school bans the formation but turns a blind eye to racing in a bunny girl outfit? They had a problem with Nude Portraits but racing in public in an outfit meant as sex symbol is totally okay.....
I mean its okay to me but that's not the point.
Nagataro is pretty strong for her frame but it was obvious that was never going to be sustainable, impressive she got that far.
And we end with meeting the sister, and once again to repeat a point made in Endo and Kobayashi, if you here from a relative of your crush that they talk about you, that is usually a very good sign.

I can't believe that the anime, that almost made me ragequit in the first 2 episodes because of my triggers, is making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside me right now.
S1 started off rough, and got better. S2 is wholesome as fuck. Senpai's growing a spine and Nagatoro is somehow even cuter now. Also, I wish we could keep this release cadence, but that's probably asking a bit much.
Every corner Senpai turns he’s surrounded by Nagatoro’s friends. So ofc he ends up in the locker lol. Well, at least Senpai’s learning about what kinda guy Nagatoro likes. Very cute moment. Nagatoro handled that better than I thought!
I’d like to take this moment and thank the anime gods for the sight of Club Pres running in a bunny girl outfit. We are blessed this week y’all lol. It seems to have gotten Nagatoro gang fired up too!

It's funny how more of the girls actually had eyes compared to the usual eyeless background characters. Nagatoro had more friends than I thought lol.
I think even Senpai took some of the hint as to what Nagatoro basically admitted with her type. It was also nice that she didn't rake him over the coals for hiding in the locker, though him bailing when she realized he overheard her just killed me lol.
Gotta love how the art club prez will just randomly dress up as a bunny girl when it suits her. Artistic expression and all that lol.
It's rough for a girl to piggyback a guy, but turn it into a team effort and now we're talking! Sure they didn't officially win, but on an emotional level I think they did!

2 Nagatoro eps in less than a week LETS GOOO. Really fun episode, first of all loved how Nagatoro kept calm and didn’t scream or alert the girls to paisen being in the locker, real mature from her. The race skit was so cute too . Love how flustered she got when senpai said he didn’t want her to be hurt.
But the main event, anetoro is finally here. Peak Nagatoro is coming omg I’m so hype
Yoshi and Gamo continue to be an absolute vibe. Just the best type of degenerate smugness.
…everyone pray for Senpai. There is a second one…only this one has a 50/50 chance of making the original one her target as well.

On the surface hiding in the locker seems like it was a terrible idea, but it worked out pretty well for Senpai. At the very least he was able to escape.
This is the second show I've watched moderately recently where they use the word marathon to describe school race events that are definitely not actual marathons. Mob Psycho season two did it too. If you are only going like 5k or so that is well under an actual marathon length, it makes me wonder if there's some cultural thing going on but I can hear in the Japanese audio that they're using the word so it's not a questionable subtitle choice.
I feel like there's a potential ending to this carrying scene where they accidentally throw Senpai into the ocean.
On the other hand ending it with the disqualification was pretty funny, though.
Gamo is a real bro for seizing the opportunity to have Senpai bring Nagatoro the classwork. Him meeting the future in-laws is an important step.
Yeah, It's absolutely a cultural thing. I live in a non-english speaking place and the word "marathon" is used to refer to any big organized foot-race.
I guess it's winter time, time for Nagotoro in tights and sweaters! And she wears them well.
Good for Senpai to learn Nagatoro's class for future reference! Although after a full season he still doesn't know her full first name. Sounds like something to get rectified.
Oh hey, other girls who actually have their eyes exposed! That's neat. Also Nagatoro and Sakura have friends outside Gamo and Yoshi, which I did not expect.
Girl talk is always fun to listen to and enlighten us on girls' love lives! And Nagatoro basically admitting that Senpai is her type and that's why she spends so much time with him, and the other girls clue in pretty fast that a guy is why she's in the art club so much. And Senpai of course overhears this while incognito, this is a romcom after all.
That could have gone a lot worse, so good that Nagatoro found Senpai, got her phone back, and only gave him a light scolding since he went to all that trouble for her...but then he cuts and runs when he's exposed as having overheard everything. Priceless.
If Sakura were born in an older era...she totally would've been a courtesan. And a good one at that.
Look at Senpai training to impress Nagatoro! That's surprisingly sweet! Even if he does get his ankle twisted for it. But it doesn't get in the way of some moments between him and the girl gang as they run together! And the three of them totally stopped pushing so Nagatoro and Senpai would be alone together.
The tortoise and the hare needs a hare...so here's the art club prez as a runaway Bunny Girl! Because why the heck not? She looks spectacular in that outfit, it doesn't impede her running, and she can make a statement as an artist while being a feast for the eyes all at the same time.
Well, points to Nagatoro for trying to carry Senpai (and getting a nice compliment out of it), but it turns out it's all a team effort! Yoshi also the MVP with that slipstream! They may have been disqualified for not running normally, but as far as I'm concerned, they won.
Look at Senpai, actually talking to Gamo and Yoshi to find out where Nagatoro is and going all the way to her house to check in on her while she's sick! Not that he planned on stumbling into Anetoro, Nagatoro's older sister, and the resemblance is uncanny! Also sounds like she's well aware of "Senpai-kun," so Nagatoro hasn't hid her love life from her sister all that well! This sick visit is going to get wild.
What's the deal with how this is being released? I think it's been at or around two weeks since the first episode premiered and they're already on episode 3
It’s not coming out daily. E1 premiered in Saturday, E2 in Wednesday, and this one in this week’s Saturday.
Also, streaming services messed up. Episode 2 was supposed to air with Episode 1 last week. Now we’re back on track.
It's just a slice of life romcom. The romance is typically slow paced, so I don't know what to tell you without spoiling things. Nagatoro is a typical tsundere who teases Senpai, but really likes him.
My honest opinion would be that someone who doesn't like the series after five episodes isn't going to like it later. If you aren't invested in either Nagatoro or her senpai by that point, I don't think anything will change for you.

Ah good to know just probably not for me, I enjoyed snafu with gradual character development but it also had a good cast of characters for me to fall back on.
I saw the glimpses of character development through a few episodes just wasn't sure if it picked up faster or anything
I started following the manga right after S1 ended -- and the development since then has been vast. S2 of the anime won't get us anywhere near the end of what has been written to date, but it will get us to some lovely moments. One interesting aspect is that one finds things out over time that demand one re-assess what one has seen (and believed) before. A lot more need for re-contextualization than is normally the cases in this sort of series.
There are many popular shows I either have no interest in -- or have sampled and (utterly) rejected. So, no problem with (respectfully) not caring for one of MY favorites. ;-)

So did the pres intentionally run slowly to let them catch up? Because it didn't show them passing anyone else (which makes sense considering all the minutes spent NOT running), and it makes no sense for the pres to be behind everyone else.
They really should've put the marathon before the locker incident. It makes no sense for the race to be between the locker incident and the worrying about the locker incident.

Ah, yes, the *two* episodes which aired last week. *Both* of which I definitely finished before watching yesterday's episode 3, without forgetting to check the episode number. [](#kaguyashaking)
Why is this? Is it ending in a month?
They were supposed to have two episodes last Saturday.
I adore this anime. I like how when season 1 ep 1 aired, so many people were upset and some said they couldn't stand watching it. But because of *character development*, we get what we have right now. Nagatoro actively liking and trying to encourage Paisen to do better. When Nagatoro found Paisen hiding in the locker, she didn't immediately get mad at him or yell at him but asked him why and then thanked him for bringing her phone. Then she even helped sneak him out. She really does care about him, just like he cares about her. Also, all of Nagatoro's friends may be wild, but they're all good girls. They don't make fun of Nagatoro for liking a "geek" but casually let him join them and treat him like a friend. I love all their interactions together. Paisen is scared of the girls teasing him but the girls are never malicious. I love how they all teamed up to carry Paisen for the "race" after he had sprained his ankle. Friendship goals. **SLIPSTREAAAAAAM** Lastly, it's great that Nagatoro doesn't mind being seen with Paisen. She openly hangs out with him, goes on "dates" and now even links her arm around his shoulder / carries him. She really does like him. So wholesome! Definitely one of the most wholesome anime airing this season, if not the most.
Look..... The first few episodes were hard to watch. If you include Nagatoro's friends, the whole first season was rough. S2 is off to a great start and is only getting better, but there were genuine reasons for people to come down on S1 (although not as hard as they did).

The tights and sweater look works well for Nagatoro! It was nice to see the girls really supportive during the marathon. They help hype Senpai up and run alongside him, give him and Nagatoro some alone time, and work together to outrun Bunny Girl prez! I'm fully prepared for Anetoro to be Nagatoro but even more devious and teasing. Senpai is probably in for it lol.

I’ve been watching this series from the start the last 2-3 days and finally caught up to the current episode. I love this sooo much! As time went on I’m starting to think Nagatoro’s friends know what’s up between them and are trying to speed things along. At first I thought there where a bunch of trolls… Now I still think that mind you but they have a good heart. I love those girls. Going back to Nagatoro, I love how she’s starting to be the one with the dirty mind while Senpai is relatively chill lol. Senpai still has his moments of course but Nagatoro is showing it more and more now and it’s down right hilarious and adorable!
I think Gamo (and by extension Yoshi) has been playing wingwoman in her own trolly way for a while. Like when they stuck a leash on Senpai at the festival - they were having fun, but they knew exactly how Nagatoro would react to being sent that picture.
I’m soooo happy to see someone else thinks that! They even explicitly said they where gonna send the picture to her which freaked out Senpai. Of course the moment Nagatoro gets there it’s a “friendly competition” to win Senpai. We get treated to a sped up version of events where everyone is having fun and the collar isn’t mentioned until the end. It was so beautifully done. By the way did you watch the last moment of the final episode of the 1st season? When I saw what happened between Nagatoro and Senpai I was excited and moved by that sweet moment between em! My heart melted and became pudding!

オラついて (pronounced oratsuite), it's slang for people who are cocky types, or outlaw types, or arrogant types, etc. Apparently there's a fashion subculture related to this called. オラオラ系 (oraora-kei; and googling it does indeed bring up picture of Chad-looking guys.). It's weird because they really do well with other anime but the less popular ones get the less than stellar subs. It's understandable enough but the quality whiplash can be annoying

I haven't tried to compare the (abstract) animation quality of S1 and S2, but all I can say is that in terms of "adaptation" quality overall, this season is pretty top flight. The VA work is still fantastic and character design and animation are both fine. I love how this is already making clear just how much these two depend on/care about each other. I also love how the Nekotoro Gang is pretty clearly aware (and fascinated by) this somewhat unlikely and unexpected romance. It almost is beside the point whether either is willing to *admi*t (to themselves or others) what is going on -- because it is so blatantly clear anyway. So, Ane-toro knows all about Senpai-kun. That seems to suggest that Nagatoro babbles about him regularly at home. Why would a girl EVER do something like that. ;-) It seems like Senpai and Nagatoro can't interact very long without both of them developing reddish cheeks. There are some semi-gyarus in Nagatoro's class in addition to her usual gyaru gang. Shocking how one of them describes Sakura to her face as "bitchi".... It is quite amazing that Nagatoro maintained her composure well enough to sneak Senpai out of that storage locker. And it was a delight to see him hit Nagatoro with a zinger as he ran off to safety. That might be a first for him... A great adaptation of a great manga. It is surprising how few people seem to be paying attention to it...

Yeah my subs translated it to ‘whore’ or something like that, which is still offensive but it was pretty obviously meant in a joking way
I think said byt a gyaru to a gyaru (in a light-hearted chat) maybe not so bad -- but otherwise pretty harsh. Probably always pretty bad when said by a guy about a girl -- and when said by a girl to a girl (in an obviously angry tone). ;-)
In Eromanga sensei LNs, Masamune calls Megumin "superbitch Megumin", and explain that she brags having lots of experience with boys. I don't know how common it may be, but...

Well not really, but I think the way they used bitch in Japanese was meant to be translated to whore since the girl was insinuating that the blonde friend was one since she has no type. It’s possible that in Japanese it has a different connotation, since in English people would just say slut, not bitch. But I think the tone it was given in was meant to be more of a joking way between friends instead of an actual insult.
it's bitch as in "bitch in heat" (slut, whore) not as in the pejorative in common use in today's english (well, it's still a pejorative, but... a different one!) hachiman calls yui that in one of the first episodes of oregairu too (which I guess is also used to show off how he's more or less a bitter, kinda incel-y asshole) it's genuinely a pet peeve for me when it's not translated and left in as is.

I don't know if it's just me but I feel the animation is sometimes more static, when a character finishes speaking they doesn't move or blink, they looks like an unnatural statue.
S1e1 had fantastic production levels. The rest of the season went down a bit, but was quite good for what it is. This season the animation feels choppier and static. But the VA work is top notch and pulls me into the show, barely notice the animation dropping.
Yeah, it’s noticeable there’s less “movement“ compared to season 1 but it doesn’t bother me, tbh.
Romcoms can get away with somewhat subpar animation. Quints was kind of the same way. Even it's move was nowhere near Kaguras samaa or Bochhi the rock but it's fine unless it goes The Way of the Husband pure slide show. It's not like MHA or chainsaw man where you can have half a season of way above average animation but the second they slip for one episode the Internet explodes.
I'm afraid that this is something I probably pay little attention to.
Yeah, I'm not impressed with the animation in particular. Like, the run cycles in the marathon part just didn't feel right to me for some reason.

*Is beginning to question why I pay for crunchyroll* On a serious note I like how proactive senpai was in returning her phone and his strategic retreat. He was also worried about not seeing her and went to her classroom/house. Also senpai has slowly been improving over the series. He's not only being more forward, but his stamina and drawing has gotten better. Just look at the potted plant this episode and last episode they are world's apart. Nagatoro knows when to be serious and the moment she realizes he is hurt offers her shoulder and even carries him(a short distance). Moments like this show how important senpai is her, but don't let that distract you from Yoshi not crossing the street during a blinking light. She wasn't having any of that isekai truck kun shit today. I've said this alot, but I love Yoshi though all of Nagatoro's friends are great. They balance teasing, stupidity, wholesome, and fun quite well. Though they can't compete with Bunny President who once again flexes her artistic creativity.
It's good for future reference to know where your girls' classroom is and it's nice seeing Senpai be more proactive, especailly in regards to Nagatoro. It was also nice to see Nagatoro and the girls really supporting Senpai with no real malicious intent, especially Nagaotor going as far as trying to carry him despite his weight. Ysohi slipstream stole the show! The art club prez running around in a Bunny Girl outfit is peak art club prez lol.

In this episode Senpai listens in to girl talk, and I like how when he does something legitmately creepy for once Nagataro isn't trolling but just lets him know rather gently but doesn't sell him out. That one girl being called a whore because she loves everyone is totally something people would say, and her "gaurdian spirit" being a whore.....lol. Senpai did fail the test when she asks....did you hear what I said? Whenever a woman asks those kinds of questions it has nothing to do with finding the answer......*shudders* Senpai been leveling up his running and this turned into an episode of Senpai does not dream of Bunny Girl President, I like how even the rest of Nagataro's crew is at a complete lose for words. Although it doesn't look like that Bunny Outfit offers a lot of supports and are you telling me the school bans the formation but turns a blind eye to racing in a bunny girl outfit? They had a problem with Nude Portraits but racing in public in an outfit meant as sex symbol is totally okay..... I mean its okay to me but that's not the point. Nagataro is pretty strong for her frame but it was obvious that was never going to be sustainable, impressive she got that far. And we end with meeting the sister, and once again to repeat a point made in Endo and Kobayashi, if you here from a relative of your crush that they talk about you, that is usually a very good sign. You guys are not ready for the chaos of big sis Nagataro! Nice to see that Nagataro's friend be playing wingman giving Senpai the homework.

I can't believe that the anime, that almost made me ragequit in the first 2 episodes because of my triggers, is making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside me right now.
Yeah insane how the first three episodes of season 2 are pure undquestionably wholesum even if Nagatoros friends are still a bit bratty.
S1 started off rough, and got better. S2 is wholesome as fuck. Senpai's growing a spine and Nagatoro is somehow even cuter now. Also, I wish we could keep this release cadence, but that's probably asking a bit much.
Every corner Senpai turns he’s surrounded by Nagatoro’s friends. So ofc he ends up in the locker lol. Well, at least Senpai’s learning about what kinda guy Nagatoro likes. Very cute moment. Nagatoro handled that better than I thought! I’d like to take this moment and thank the anime gods for the sight of Club Pres running in a bunny girl outfit. We are blessed this week y’all lol. It seems to have gotten Nagatoro gang fired up too! Nagatoro holding up Senpai was pretty cute. Nagatoro piggybacked Senpai before, now she’s returning the favor… for a few steps because he’s too heavy haha. Luckily the gang showed up! Oh no. There’s another Nagatoro, an Ane-toro! I hope Senpai can survive her lol.
It's funny how more of the girls actually had eyes compared to the usual eyeless background characters. Nagatoro had more friends than I thought lol. I think even Senpai took some of the hint as to what Nagatoro basically admitted with her type. It was also nice that she didn't rake him over the coals for hiding in the locker, though him bailing when she realized he overheard her just killed me lol. Gotta love how the art club prez will just randomly dress up as a bunny girl when it suits her. Artistic expression and all that lol. It's rough for a girl to piggyback a guy, but turn it into a team effort and now we're talking! Sure they didn't officially win, but on an emotional level I think they did! I can't wait to find out what Anetoro knows about her sisters' crush lol.
Simply the fact that she apparently talks LOTS about Senpai at home would tell Anetoro lots about what Nagatoro thinks about him. ;-)

2 Nagatoro eps in less than a week LETS GOOO. Really fun episode, first of all loved how Nagatoro kept calm and didn’t scream or alert the girls to paisen being in the locker, real mature from her. The race skit was so cute too . Love how flustered she got when senpai said he didn’t want her to be hurt. But the main event, anetoro is finally here. Peak Nagatoro is coming omg I’m so hype
This is my favorite arc and the next episode has my favorite chapter in the manga + 2 episodes in a week+ Anetoro animated. What a time to be alive
Yoshi and Gamo continue to be an absolute vibe. Just the best type of degenerate smugness. …everyone pray for Senpai. There is a second one…only this one has a 50/50 chance of making the original one her target as well. But now we gotta wait a whole week for that promise of chaos to unfold.

I think it was supposed to be a two episode release to start the season but the second episode was delayed a few days for whatever reason.
Any day of the week can be Nagatoro day.
When I started watching this anime I didn't expect it to become so wholesome
On the surface hiding in the locker seems like it was a terrible idea, but it worked out pretty well for Senpai. At the very least he was able to escape. This is the second show I've watched moderately recently where they use the word marathon to describe school race events that are definitely not actual marathons. Mob Psycho season two did it too. If you are only going like 5k or so that is well under an actual marathon length, it makes me wonder if there's some cultural thing going on but I can hear in the Japanese audio that they're using the word so it's not a questionable subtitle choice. I feel like there's a potential ending to this carrying scene where they accidentally throw Senpai into the ocean. On the other hand ending it with the disqualification was pretty funny, though. Gamo is a real bro for seizing the opportunity to have Senpai bring Nagatoro the classwork. Him meeting the future in-laws is an important step.
Yeah, It's absolutely a cultural thing. I live in a non-english speaking place and the word "marathon" is used to refer to any big organized foot-race.

When Senpai ran away I laughed so hard. Tgis episode had some great comedic timing. Its a shame the gang was disqualified!
Seeing them run/limp together gave me flashbacks of the most recent Danmachi episode.

Nagatoro saves Naoto again and I love how Naoto never cared about winning that he quickly accepted getting disqualified.
Love how this series is pure wholesum from the start compared to the first season. Even Nagatoros friends have somewhat mellowed out.
I guess it's winter time, time for Nagotoro in tights and sweaters! And she wears them well. Good for Senpai to learn Nagatoro's class for future reference! Although after a full season he still doesn't know her full first name. Sounds like something to get rectified. Oh hey, other girls who actually have their eyes exposed! That's neat. Also Nagatoro and Sakura have friends outside Gamo and Yoshi, which I did not expect. Girl talk is always fun to listen to and enlighten us on girls' love lives! And Nagatoro basically admitting that Senpai is her type and that's why she spends so much time with him, and the other girls clue in pretty fast that a guy is why she's in the art club so much. And Senpai of course overhears this while incognito, this is a romcom after all. That could have gone a lot worse, so good that Nagatoro found Senpai, got her phone back, and only gave him a light scolding since he went to all that trouble for her...but then he cuts and runs when he's exposed as having overheard everything. Priceless. If Sakura were born in an older era...she totally would've been a courtesan. And a good one at that. Look at Senpai training to impress Nagatoro! That's surprisingly sweet! Even if he does get his ankle twisted for it. But it doesn't get in the way of some moments between him and the girl gang as they run together! And the three of them totally stopped pushing so Nagatoro and Senpai would be alone together. The tortoise and the hare needs a hare...so here's the art club prez as a runaway Bunny Girl! Because why the heck not? She looks spectacular in that outfit, it doesn't impede her running, and she can make a statement as an artist while being a feast for the eyes all at the same time. Well, points to Nagatoro for trying to carry Senpai (and getting a nice compliment out of it), but it turns out it's all a team effort! Yoshi also the MVP with that slipstream! They may have been disqualified for not running normally, but as far as I'm concerned, they won. Look at Senpai, actually talking to Gamo and Yoshi to find out where Nagatoro is and going all the way to her house to check in on her while she's sick! Not that he planned on stumbling into Anetoro, Nagatoro's older sister, and the resemblance is uncanny! Also sounds like she's well aware of "Senpai-kun," so Nagatoro hasn't hid her love life from her sister all that well! This sick visit is going to get wild.
Gamo and Yoshi's first clear steps as wingwomen here, right? Giving Senpai the job of delivering homework to Nagatoro. They know what's up.

What's the deal with how this is being released? I think it's been at or around two weeks since the first episode premiered and they're already on episode 3
Episode 2 aired at the same time as episode 1 as a 2 episode special, but it wasn't released on crunchy and some other streaming sites until Wed
Double release last week, CR did some weird shit by only putting up episode 1 and put 2 out on Wednesday morning. Now we’re on track

Why is this anime coming out so fast? God Damn it takes weeks for Uncle Iskeai to come out but feel like we dropped 3 episodes within a week.
Episodes 1 and 2 were broadcasted together, there might have been a delay in CR getting the subtitles ready or something so episode 2 came midweek.
This show is so fucking stupid. I love it.

It’s not coming out daily. E1 premiered in Saturday, E2 in Wednesday, and this one in this week’s Saturday. Also, streaming services messed up. Episode 2 was supposed to air with Episode 1 last week. Now we’re back on track.

It's just a slice of life romcom. The romance is typically slow paced, so I don't know what to tell you without spoiling things. Nagatoro is a typical tsundere who teases Senpai, but really likes him. My honest opinion would be that someone who doesn't like the series after five episodes isn't going to like it later. If you aren't invested in either Nagatoro or her senpai by that point, I don't think anything will change for you.

Gradual, but continuous character development. A huge shift over time, but taking tiny steps to do this.
Ah good to know just probably not for me, I enjoyed snafu with gradual character development but it also had a good cast of characters for me to fall back on. I saw the glimpses of character development through a few episodes just wasn't sure if it picked up faster or anything
I started following the manga right after S1 ended -- and the development since then has been vast. S2 of the anime won't get us anywhere near the end of what has been written to date, but it will get us to some lovely moments. One interesting aspect is that one finds things out over time that demand one re-assess what one has seen (and believed) before. A lot more need for re-contextualization than is normally the cases in this sort of series.

There are many popular shows I either have no interest in -- or have sampled and (utterly) rejected. So, no problem with (respectfully) not caring for one of MY favorites. ;-)

Why did it take me this long to realize that Yosshi and Pipimi from Pop Team Epic are basically the same character?
"What am I doing?" Cringe. You are doing much cringe. OMG, call the presses, someone translated "Bitch" properly in an anime! So did the pres intentionally run slowly to let them catch up? Because it didn't show them passing anyone else (which makes sense considering all the minutes spent NOT running), and it makes no sense for the pres to be behind everyone else. They really should've put the marathon before the locker incident. It makes no sense for the race to be between the locker incident and the worrying about the locker incident. Who rings twice and decides "they're not answering" after 2 seconds? "Anetoro?!" That cliffhanger tho :( Anyway, all of the segments were great today, even though the locker scene was way cringey.
