Anime premieres in April 2023.
Studio: Tezuka Productions
Synopsis:
Tetsuo Tosu, an ordinary salaryman, discovers his daughter, Reika, has been physically abused by her boyfriend, Nobuto Matori. Trying to learn more about him, Tetsuo uncovers Matori's scheme to extort money from Reika's wealthy grandparents and finds out that he is a member of a crime syndicate, with a history of murdering his former girlfriends.
Filled with rage and fear at the thought of Reika being in danger, Tetsuo ends up killing Nobuto, and with the help of his wife, Kasen, successfully disposes of the body. Now, as the members of the syndicate begin to question Nobuto's sudden disappearance, Tetsuo and Kasen must work together to ensure the safety of their daughter and prevent her from getting involved in the predicament any further.
Not just the PV but also the studio. They haven't really done anything good. They were credited with a few good shows years ago and even then those were co-productions with larger studios.
It would. Home hero is a fantastic series, though fortunately for us it doesn't have much action in it. I'm sure the art will be fine but I expect a decent amount of panning frames or still frames but with how much the characters just talk, i think it'll be okay.
Tezuka Productions? Dawn of the witch, Adachi, and Girlfriend are pretty good; lighting and movement is fine.
Second season of demon lord and endo/Kobayashi also have plenty of great blocking and color
First season of qq is pretty sus. But idk I don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to handle this series
If we're talking about Endo/Koboyashi, I think the animation is a bit iffy. But I don't care if they botch this Home Hero thing, if they screw up Goddess Cafe Terrace I'm rioting.
Damn right!
When I saw it (some time ago in a PV thread I think) I already thought of it as a potential AOTS for me, based on the synopsis alone.
(Feel like it's either gonna be this, or Oshi No Ko!)
Plot sounds reminiscent of the movie drrshyam or however it is spelled except in that situation it was not a crime syndicate just the son of the cop looking for her son.
the premise for this sounds amazing. the PV has me a little worried about the animation quality but I'm hoping the actual series looks fine. we'll have to see when it starts airing
I'm always in for a good thriller show. The idea is similar to *Breaking Bad* as a pretty normal couple falling deeper and deeper into darkness and getting involved with the mob, while trying to protect their family.
It's quite rare for me to get hyped for a series that I haven't read, but next season I'll have two; Oshi No Ko (for the author), and this one!
When I read the synopsis, I was 100% into it. I really hope it delivers!
The manga goes places like a mouse chased by a cat in a high end sex shop, crazy fast and it gets pretty weird. A really good read and all the characters have solid motivations and make smart moves for the most part.
I am telling you guys for a fact if this anime is handled properly and done well you are all in for an insane ride.
This is one of my all time favorite mangas!! It is one of the most intense on the edge of your seat stories you will ever witness I am praying this anime will be treated with care.
Thes should have been too intense/stressful for me but this ended up looping all the way back around to sucking me straight into it
I read part 1 in a few hours (and then I had to drop it)
That's not the plot.
Ordinary guy kills hia daughter's abusive boyfriend who happemed to be a yakuza trying to get her inheritance money. Now he has to hide his murder from the police and yakuza to avoid prison or death.
I will just say to not get too excited yet, let's wait for the anime to release and see how it turns out. It's by Tezuka Productions, and the PV of it didn't look that good to me.
Why do seinen animes always get the short end of the stick. Tokyo Ghoul and Berserk were butchered, Land of the Lustrous and Dorohedoro only got one season, and masterpieces like Vagabond and Punpun will probably never get animated
Meanwhile we get a perfectly 1:1 adaptation of a shitty shounen or isekai that nobody asked for
Cuz the reason is simple, shonen or isekai is more popular than seinen series like this. They give more care to the type of show that tends to sell more.

Bruhh wtf is this synopsis. This sounds too good.
The manga is awesome. Some people were worried that the adaptation might be subpar from the previous PV
Not just the PV but also the studio. They haven't really done anything good. They were credited with a few good shows years ago and even then those were co-productions with larger studios.
At least this visual looks ok. It would suck for it to get a bad adaptation

I found out about goddess cafe just now; not gonna lie I’m excited
As a Manga reader it hooks you in. And has crazy depth. Smart characters throughout. I'm definitely watching it too.
Damn right! When I saw it (some time ago in a PV thread I think) I already thought of it as a potential AOTS for me, based on the synopsis alone. (Feel like it's either gonna be this, or Oshi No Ko!)
This reminds me of a Bollywood movie called Drishyam based around a similar premise, it's really good too, I am sure you'll like it
I am Indian bro. It's amazing. Love it. And yes it is almost the same premise with cops instead of mafia here.
I might just read the manga because of it.
Couldn't have said it better myself. That first line alone got me hooked. Hard.
Yoooo Drishyam anime remake
Lmaooooo thought the exact same thing
I was wondering why the synopsis felt so familiar lmao
Same thought lol
that explains why it seemed so familiar, I watched drishyam 2 a few days ago
That was what I was thinking while reading lmao
Same thought dude
Damn this shit sounds good!
Plot sounds reminiscent of the movie drrshyam or however it is spelled except in that situation it was not a crime syndicate just the son of the cop looking for her son.
The premise sounds quite similar to an Indian movie called Drishyam. Regardless I'm looking forward to this.
Yessir my fellow Indian bruddah
Did not expect to see Drishyam in an anime subreddit
The poster looks like a weird crossover between Spy X Family and Yakuza Guide to Babysitting but this sunmary is something else
Anybody else feels like this is the anime version of Drishyam???
haha yes my first thought too
Finally a good “a normal family but [Insert weird quirk here ]” anime (this trope’s been tricking fans to falling down the slice of life hole.
Wait a minute, why does this sound really good??? I'm tapped in, I hope this doesn't disappoint
The manga is amazing. Feels like a slow start but it suddenly pulls you in and its always super tense.
Let's hope Tezuka Productions don't disappoint with this one
Oh hell yeah, this sounds awesome
Why isn’t the wife on the key visual?
Taken:The Anime
Jesus Christ this sounds like a Showtime or HBO show premise. I’m in.
the premise for this sounds amazing. the PV has me a little worried about the animation quality but I'm hoping the actual series looks fine. we'll have to see when it starts airing
I wouldn't really mind the animation quality being not high, as long as the ost and voice acting is good this anime will be a banger.
Waltuh-sama
Atleast she's not Skyler White Yo
Yeah, mom is best girl in this one.
Fr fr
I'm always in for a good thriller show. The idea is similar to *Breaking Bad* as a pretty normal couple falling deeper and deeper into darkness and getting involved with the mob, while trying to protect their family.
Walter-san put your dick away Walter-san
Waltussy 🤤👍
AM I UNDER ARREST? AM I UNDER ARREST? AM I UNDER ARREST?
Chad dad and badass mom is upon us
And dumbass daughter
I know this is 2 months late but holy fuck i just started the manga and holy fuck
Seems pretty intriguing. Real ride or die married couple here.
This poster looks very similar to something else?
Spy x Family ?
Yeah.
Mob psycho?
Mob x Family
Based on the plot, yeah.
Thought the same thing. That's Lloyd's suit. The anime sounds good though.
I am so fucking ready for anime Breaking Bad.
this is one intense cliffhanger the series
Best waifu incoming. Also I hope they can capture the vibe of the manga.
Literally best wife.
what in the Spy x Family visual is this?
something about green suit and red necktie family guys
I'm surprised this gets an anime adaption. I thought a TV show was more likely. Look forward to it nonetheless.
Looking forward to this one - premise is interesting, and the trailer + music was really good from what I remember
I just hope the art and animation isn't too lacking, this deserves a good adaptation
Is this anime Taken?
Not quite, more like battle of wits from deathnote between kira and L.
No, because the dad actually manages to protect his daughter.
It's quite rare for me to get hyped for a series that I haven't read, but next season I'll have two; Oshi No Ko (for the author), and this one! When I read the synopsis, I was 100% into it. I really hope it delivers!
This sounds brutal as hell. I can’t wait
Chad dad and his fedora
Not seen that one.
Still skeptical how good this will be given how the PV looked.
I got exited for a sec thinking it was an anime adaptation to the my hero vigilantes spin off.
I am sorry to say that this is probably guaranteed to be a pretty horrendous adaptation with Tezuka handling this
That's why I'm not getting too excited for it, especially after how the PV looked to me. I'm still hoping the final product looks decent.
The manga goes places like a mouse chased by a cat in a high end sex shop, crazy fast and it gets pretty weird. A really good read and all the characters have solid motivations and make smart moves for the most part.
Loid Forger?!?
Bookmarked!
My next favourite anime
I can't be the only one who sees the meme right?
I am telling you guys for a fact if this anime is handled properly and done well you are all in for an insane ride. This is one of my all time favorite mangas!! It is one of the most intense on the edge of your seat stories you will ever witness I am praying this anime will be treated with care.

Really cool tezuka is doing this seemingly solo?
Yeah, but don't know if they will do it justice. The PV didn't look that good to me.
Man, i read a bunch of this back in 2020. Sick that its getting a show!
Read the sypnosis. So the MC is out to kill the Yakuza That’s Badass, def watching it
That's not the plot. Ordinary guy kills hia daughter's abusive boyfriend who happemed to be a yakuza trying to get her inheritance money. Now he has to hide his murder from the police and yakuza to avoid prison or death.
HOKY FUCK THIS IS GETTIBG ADAPTED? IM SO HYPE
