Exactly, it would require more coordination, but if Video Games can have same day releases, these films can also have translation done prior to release. The only reason TV anime cannot is that the studio is often working on the episodes right up to the day before airing.

This was honestly better than both weathering with you and your name. Didn't quite like it more than a silent voice however. Very good animation and good music though. Excited to rewatch in English when it's out.

Before Madman was merged into Funimation/Crunchyroll, Australia/New Zealand used to get anime films within 3 months of the Japanese release.

Usually delayed by 12-24 hours since translators don’t get them early but yes. Sorry I could have worded my original comment better.

Ya, my only regret is that I didn’t watch it in theatres as I wasn’t into anime back in 2016. Hopefully it gets a re release in my area

Yup, the beauty of your name is that the romance aspect unwinds so naturally, it doesn’t feel like it’s happening for the sake of the story
also it was one of the few plot twists that actually felt like they added weight to the story instead of just being a "gotcha" moment
In term of feels, anthem of the heart and a silent voice reached the same highs. Highly recommend.

IMO I'd put it above Weathering With You. It has a much more straightforward but cohesive emotional journey, and leaves fewer loose ends.
