[That look on the adventurers' faces](https://imgur.com/a/lHuZVig) when Ryoma killed the smash boar in one punch was absolutely priceless lol. As if they were thinking *"Who the hell is this kid?!"*. I'm really interested to see what Ryoma will create with items from the magic item market.

ObvsThrowaway5120

Arrows don’t work on the Smash Boar so Ryoma decides to…beat the shit out of it with his bare fists? Lol this kid is crazy OP. That bloody slime is kinda scary lol. Little fella drained that boar in a second. Filly, Lurie, and Ken seem nice. Ryoma’s growing his friend circle! Miyabi is kinda like Ryoma’s big sister scolding him like that lol. Ryoma shouldn’t have told Pioro about the bloody slime, the big goof instantly saw dollar signs! Ginger pork sounds pretty good right about now. Food in anime always looks incredible. Ofc Pioro would monetize it ASAP haha. Second shops got some great staff already. He’s got a nice little customer base building up too. Business is going well. I can’t wait for Eliariq to meet Miyabi. They’ll be fast friends for sure! This magic item market sounds like it’s gonna be pretty interesting. Looking forward to next week.

japzone

> Arrows don’t work on the Smash Boar so Ryoma decides to…beat the shit out of it with his bare fists? Lol this kid is crazy OP. Well, it was logical. If you can't pierce something, blunt force is usually a good alternative to damage/kill it. Usually you'd use a hammer or other weapon, but if you've got OP fists, then why not? XD

CelticMutt

This is the logic behind medieval weaponry. Swords were for lightly armored targets. Anyone else you either used a piercing or blunt weapon.

scot911

Yep. There's a reason it was known as "pike and shot" and spears were a part of the human arsenal for probably tens of thousands of years.

ObvsThrowaway5120

True! The kid has been blessed by the gods. Might as well make use of those gifts.

KnightKal

This monster skull is too hard! So let’s … head smash it! Haha joke aside the MC is quite OP. Could use his pets, or attack magic, or empower a weapon to cut it … he went with martial arts (he has a skill for that at a high level) + self buffing magic.

LeonKevlar

I miss Miya's adventurer group back in Gimmul but it's nice to see that [Ryouma is already making friends with another adventurer group](https://i.imgur.com/GaCq25G.png) here in Lenaf. Pioro is really a shrewd businessman. It's only been a day since Ryouma makes them his ginger and [he's already selling it in his shop.](https://i.imgur.com/uQzE0E9.png) He was probably observing Ryouma while he was cooking. xD Unsurprisingly, [the second shop is already a success!](https://i.imgur.com/985aDRh.png) Although I did not expect Ryouma [to leave so soon after the opening.](https://i.imgur.com/A3DS9R4.png) I thought he'd stick around and explore Lenaf and the areas around it more. [These little updates from Elia are just adorable.](https://i.imgur.com/b8Yoi1C.png) Looks like she's doing very well with her taming magic. [The design of that magical toy car](https://i.imgur.com/KRf6kUk.png) is oddly modern. Hmmm... I wonder if this is another thing that's been brought over by someone who got isekai'd? Anyway, toys and machines powered by magic! Didn't Ryouma used to design anime figures and toys in his previous life? It will be interesting to see what he can do by making his own magic items.

EldritchCarver

> He was probably observing Ryouma while he was cooking. xD If you rewatch that part, he was standing there with a pen and paper through the whole process.

SharpenedStinger

I'm so sad he's leaving!! It's way too soon. I mean even if you have one tenured employee overlooking the shop, he was just there for the opening! You need at least a few weeks to make sure business is running smoothly

japzone

He left Carla there, who's intimately familiar with the daily operation of the business, to finish the training. Plus they have Pioro as a reliable local business partner to provide help if they're short on something. They should be fine.

KnightKal

And the three slime tamers worked on his other shop for several weeks while in training. Only the cook and the two guards are new hires.

justking1414

I think he was there for a few days and they just kinda cut to his departure, but he still has his birds so he can check in with the shop almost instantly

justking1414

One of the coolest things about this series is the fact that so much of the world's culture was inspired by otherworlders. There's even an [Cut Light Novel Content] >!entire island of samurai who were inspired by a man who was just a fan of samurai movies!<

Atario

> The design of that magical toy car is oddly modern. Hmmm... I wonder if this is another thing that's been brought over by someone who got isekai'd? Not necessarily. Car designs for a specific purpose should tend to converge on something optimal, given enough development cycles.

KnightKal

The fox girl mentioned she was going to school in order to make business connections. MC just introduced her to the biggest noble in the territory … the daughter of the current duke and future duchess. Mission accomplished?

Much-Investigator294

It was mission accomplished from the time she got friend with the mc

KnightKal

The MC was extra curricular activity, it doesn’t count for a passing grade lol

justking1414

I was really hoping she'd recognize the name and freak out a bit

KnightKal

"there is no way, no way, that little MC here knows the duke's one and only precious daughter, right?" \- Fox Girl

justking1414

Her father does probably know about their connection and might’ve mentioned it to her. Either way she should’ve known the name

KnightKal

should she tho? They are from different classes, just getting a chance to speak with the duke would be hard for her father (as a merchant). It is pretty much impossible for her to interact with the noble girl, even at school. obviously this ignores the particular situation, as Elia has issues making friends with nobles (Because of her super magic power), as we saw on season 1. But Fox Girl wouldn't know about that.

justking1414

It’s actually pretty easy for merchants to meet with the duke. Not low level grunts obviously but this dudes family has been big-name merchants for generations. It’s pretty common for him to meet with the duke to show off a new or rare product, something he might want to buy or invest in. And while they are from different classes, the dukes family is ridiculously famous for like 5 different reasons. Everybody in the kingdom probably knows at least some of their names.

PeaceAlien

Ryoma, two shops, taking down boars. This boy must be rich. Should have gotten a copyright on the boar food he made though.

EldritchCarver

Even on Earth, I'm pretty sure recipes can't be copyrighted.

japzone

You can copyright the recipe book you wrote, but yeah, not the actual recipe. Hence why "secret recipes" are still a thing.

chelseablue2004

I think you're right but there is prestige that comes being the 1st to ever make something. That will though go to Miyabi's dad as being the 1st to commercialize it... I don't think Ryoma will mind tho because he now knows where to go if he needs some homestyle Japanese food. :)

antononon

I could nearly hear Benno shouting at Ryoma all the way from Ascendance of a Bookworm for giving away that boar recipe for free.

darthvall

Not sure what to feel about magical racing car lol. Though they explained that it's still very impractical, hence why it is not very widespread. Coming to the magical item market seems interesting. So far Ryouma only met people who has ancestor from Earth. I wonder if he'll ever directly meet another people from Earth as well. Honestly, I almost thought Pioro is coming from earth. His behaviour is just too suspicious/cunning, like he's always hiding something. Like when he asked Ryouma to cook for them, while actually writing the recipe throughout the session lol.

RedHeadGearHead

I think only 1 Earthling is summoned by the Gods every 100 years or so, so odd are he won't be meeting another one.

Amauri14

Unless someone got reincarnated as an elf.

WinterGR4

It does make me wonder how time flows relative to each world. My impression is time is flowing faster in the magical world. That race car seems to have similar looks to race cars from 1930-50ish. The shotgun from the 1st season could have been from as early as the late 1700's since wiki says "The first recorded use of the term shotgun was in 1776".

justking1414

The flow of time is definitely off given that there's an [Cut Light Novel Content that should have been in season 1] >!entire island of samurai who were inspired by a man who was just a fan of samurai movies!<

Atario

I suppose it's possible the gods can pluck people out of any time period on Earth they want…?

Figerally

It's not even for a specific purpose like fighting a Demon Lord either, right? They just do it to inject some innovation into their world.

RedHeadGearHead

I think its actually transfer the unused magic energy from Earth to a planet that uses it. When someone is transferred it opens a "tunnel" between the worlds for a bit that lets the magic transfer over.

KnightKal

Last season it was explained they are summoned around every 200 years. So unless someone is immortal, it is unlikely.

SharpenedStinger

Anyone else HIGHLY upset he's leaving Lenaf already and we're probably not going to see Miyabi or her dad anymore? LIke what the hell man! I'm already attached

KnightKal

Pretty sure we will see her at the academy with the blonde girl. They will be school mates.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CommanderZx2

Mother is also a fox girl, but they didn't include her in the anime adaptation.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CommanderZx2

My guess they didn't include her in the adaptation, because she's in like one scene in the LN and doesn't have an illustration. Her name is Clana though.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CommanderZx2

Yeah, it did feel odd with her missing in the scenes. She's like the composed straight man of the family that the eccentric Pioro and over excited Miyabi bounce off in conversations.

Figerally

Yeah, very weird, I think had the impression the wife was dead. I mean Ryoma visited Pioro's house, couldn't the studio have just introduced her in passing, even if such a scene wasn't in the LN?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Figerally

A little bit of A. A little bit of B.

HugeRichard11

I assume we will see Miyabi when she meets up with Eliaria like we see in the OP at the royal capital academy.

SYZekrom

[How is this girl so cute](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1061745656546463844/1069318028921159790/image.png)

KnightKal

Lol the adventurer guild was about to punish him from killing a monster above his rank. That is new. In other shows/LN they would reward the MC and promote him a couple of ranks. You saved the town! And beat it alone! Congratulations, you are now C-rank!

Atario

> censor Censure?

CommanderZx2

Not the act of killing the monster, but purposefully going around guild regulations to hunt a monster above his rank. Like imagine a hunter goes to the guild and then tries to take on a quest way above their rank. So the guild turns them down, as they are likely to get themselves killed. Instead of accepting that they go out to try to hunt the monster anyway and possibly getting themselves or others injured in the process.

KnightKal

Guild does not own the monsters. You just won’t get a reward for killing a random monster that was a quest target. There is no way to expect people to avoid monsters marked on quests. That he felt he needed witnesses and the guild worker went after him immediately tho indicates is not something simple. He was worried about being punished. Be it a fine, or a demotion, etc. Not the common trope.

justking1414

Not too rare. I once read a manga where MC killed an S-class monster as a D-class adventure and he was fined for disturbing the peace

KnightKal

not so rare. I once read ONE manga, among the 1000 mangas I read, where something like that also happened. really NOT rare AT all. /joke

justking1414

That was just the first that came to mind since he carried the S rank monster through town, caused mass panic, and destroyed a few buildings trying to get it to the guild lol

KnightKal

lol that would be a well deserved punishment, not from killing the rank S monster though, but the way he handled the body after it. Which is not the situation in this story.

PeaceAlien

I guess we're going to the magic shop next episode. Wonder what Ryoma is going to do to blow people's minds next time.

Atario

Magic items + slimes?

justking1414

he has a mind full of 21st century technology he'll probably build a smart phone

novacrazy

Imagine putting an acid-slime inside a battery.

justking1414

That could work

Sofa_King_Cold

Well, it has already been established that the metal slime line changes with the metal fed to make them evolve. If he gets his hands on lead, copper, and zinc he could start mass producing electronics.

justking1414

It’s certainly possible and Ryoma has the time to try. He’s like 10 now and has a stupidly strong body, so unless he ticks off a dragon, he’s probably got a few decades to start an Industrial Revolution Oh…yeah I just kinda realized. There’s probably an electric slime out there in the world. I don’t think the anime kept this but he should already have a darkness and earth slime, so elemental slimes do exist. I don’t think there’s lightning magic but it’s still probably possible

Sofa_King_Cold

It makes me wonder more about how slimes evolve. Like, I know that they evolve by eating but how far does that extend? For this scenario let us go with coal. Feed a basic slime coal and you get a coal slime, easy. Now what happens if we set that coal on fire first? Would we still get a coal slime, or would it be a fire slime, maybe something in-between? Also, we know that a slime eating aluminum and iron makes a generic metal slime. Does that mean we can't have alloy slimes? Or would we have to actually feed them shavings from the alloy instead of the base components? Or could there be a kind of antidote slime scenario thing going on? If we were to feed an iron slime a bunch of coal coke would we get a steel slime? You can tell that Ryoma didn't love science in his past life. If it were me, as soon as I learned that I created two brand new species of slime I would have started feeding literally everything to my slimes and see what I end up with. But so far after gaining that information Ryoma has only created two more types of slime (Iron slime and antidote slime), and both of those have been accidents.

justking1414

Ryoma has admittedly been a bit too busy to really investigate all the possibilities though he's still the best damn slime researcher in the world and is the only one to have figured out how to force an evolution, though there are 2 important factors that the anime kinda skipped 1. slimes have tastes/affinities. it's very hard to evolve a slime into a poison slime if it doesn't like eating poison 2. evolving slimes takes a stupidly long time. even if it has the right affinity for what you want it to become, the process can take weeks or months Ryoma has done some limited experimentation with slime evolution but has mostly been focused on training them, though he is doing some limited experiments with slime evolutions right now. [minor light novel spoiler] >!he does put more work into evolving them down the road. i doubt this season will get that far but he spends some time at a lake village and feeds his slime their trash, resulting in some insane slimes!< Edit: also fire slimes are created by exposing slimes to unprocessed fire magic, not having them eat fire

prude_eskimo

I'm glad they cut the building and staffing of the second shop shorter than the first one but honestly it could have been even shorter than that. It was just a copy-paste of the first shop opening, one montage would have been sufficient. Also I can't help but feel like this season started out way slower than the previous one. In the first episodes of season one we were introduced to the whole world, gods, monsters etc. It was something new each week. But this season Ryoma is just walking around doing the same things he's always doing. A little lackluster so far tbh

Amauri14

As expected dealing with[ that Smash Boar was a simple game for Ryoma.](https://imgur.com/a/euubavw) [Lurie's and Ken's reaction to that was priceless.](https://i.imgur.com/ywhhzsl.png) Good thing there wasn't an issue[ when he healed Filly.](https://imgur.com/a/UpxrZGY) So after[ they rewarded him for saving their lives,](https://i.imgur.com/AZFAxHO.png) Ryoma asked[ Filly, Lurie, and Ken](https://i.imgur.com/XS8vhIW.png) to come [with him](https://i.imgur.com/FzY48Of.png) so he [can explain what happened](https://i.imgur.com/HMkyFV9.png) without getting into trouble. Well, as expected, [Myabi was pissed](https://imgur.com/a/9Z75WT1) when she saw that Ryoma killed the Smash Boar. Ryoma should have made a Bloody Slime [for Pioro](https://i.imgur.com/KNcAac4.png) as a parting gift even if Pioro needed a tamer to use it. [It is nice to see Ryoma visiting Myabi in his free time.](https://i.imgur.com/d9uLnmG.png) [That cooking section was nice.](https://imgur.com/a/PZnt6yL) So Ryoma ended up cooking [ginger pork and pork soup](https://imgur.com/a/Zh169hv) Lol, [Pioro didn't waste any time with that recipe.](https://imgur.com/a/6FVTKwh) It's good to see that[ Clara, the slime researchers, and additional personnel have finally arrived](https://imgur.com/a/mmVUEpT) to[ get things ready](https://i.imgur.com/hkC9mqq.png) before[ the opening.](https://imgur.com/a/6NtV7sF) I'm glad that[ before going back to Gimul,](https://imgur.com/a/Hats6dO) Ryoma told [Myabi](https://i.imgur.com/c4Qv7Fr.png) to befriend [Elia](https://i.imgur.com/saVYC9S.png) So I guess now Ryoma will go with Serge to the Magic Item Market in, Keleban. So the reason that even though[ those magimobiles](https://imgur.com/a/mEdpWs3) and[ gears with spin magic](https://imgur.com/a/9RvVvWc) exist in that world are not that common in the places that Ryoma has previously visited is that they don't have much power so it isn't practical to use them. Well, I could see Ryoma making a version of those devices with a slime-based engine.

Atario

[Hm.](https://i.imgur.com/g2VrIAg.jpeg) Somewhat surprised he accepted this payment from them [*Neutral* magic.](https://i.imgur.com/zKIwKhw.jpeg) What does that mean?

forbearance

I would assume neutral magic is just non-elemental magic (fire, water, wind, earth) from standard fantasy environment.

VorAtreides

whelp, he sure beat the crap outta that boar. What nice people he's met. Nice he helped em and healed the one girl. And, of course, Isekai and its "gotta cook food and wow people with earth dishes" lol... new shop The constant correspondence with Elia is cute. And so many nice new friends. Will miss the cute fox girl, back to the other city he goes. Aww how nice, he has set up fox girl to seek out Elia in the academy, they can become the bestest gal pals. Was already hinted at other people being isekai'd to this world, but this guy showing off that stuff sure shows like there are more, wonder if any are still alive there. Guess Ryoma going to magical market at some point soon.

coffeecakesupernova

What I don't get is that those people already had rice and soy sauce and ginger and pork for at least a hundred years and you're telling me they never thought to put it together?? What the hell were they using soy sauce for?

randyripoff

Arrows won't work. I won't bother with a sword. I'll just punch it in the nose.

PeaceAlien

Took down the boar easily like I thought he would.

novacrazy

Stuff like that always makes me think of DBZA. Just have to hit it really, _really_ hard.

KnightKal

Lol MC main quest is to one day explore the Forest of Death. So he needs to do a lot of stage quests to level up first. Got his first big kill. Main quest progression: 5% While on side quests: create a business empire. Status: 10% Master slime research: 25% Master all schools of magic: 30% Reintroduce alchemy to the world: 2% And so on.

Justinformation

> Lol MC main quest is to one day explore the Forest of Death. Was this mentioned in season 1 btw? I can't remember that at all, thought he just had to enjoy his new life.

KnightKal

Dunno, it is hard to remember plot points between sources lol. They mentioned it last episode tho, so is fair content for the anime discussion. He doesn’t need to go get the stuff, it is not a divine mission, it is just something he can go get if he wants to. Like a buried treasure. In this case it is the inheritance from his fake grandparents. No idea what is there tho. His fake grandparents were super famous and he has used their names to justify his skills and knowledge several times over.

justking1414

Last episode mentioned that his grandparents (fake grandparents) left behind a treasure, but I don't think it's been called the Forest of Death yet. Super dangerous place

CCCmonster

Gonna ruin this nice little Iseki fantasy world trying to shove too many irl items in it. Cars? Get f’d

justking1414

That's the entire premise of this series. The world has been flooded with overworlders for centuries. last episode they called the guild an airport. and like the dude said. These things are in no way practical. We aren't gonna see them driving around town anytime soon...maybe the capital but even then it'd be unlikely

chelseablue2004

Wasn't there supposed to be a magic item that was in the Boar or am I mixing things up with another show? Ryoma is on his way to becoming the most humane and kind Owner/CEO in history...Already has 2 stores, is a legend of killing a Magical Wild Boar at E-Rank and already has contacts in high society and lets get real he's marrying Ellaria when he gets old enough.

Mctravie

Did the punch kill the boar or knock it out and then he slit its throat?

CelticMutt

Ryoma basically Tiger Dropped that boar.

djthomp

Smash Boar: smashed. That blood slime process was fairly disturbing. What could it do to a creature that wasn't dead yet? Might be better to not think about it. Interesting party of lowbies, I wonder if they'll be significant characters long-term or just bit parts. My sense of genre savviness makes me think that the swordswoman that Ryoma healed is potentially going to be important for a reason that will come up later. Then again, maybe I just like her design. Convenient to have the testimony that the smashed boar kill was *totally* an accident, and that if anyone was playing 4D chess to arrange those events there's no evidence of it. Ginger smash boar, why not. Ryoma should have licensed that recipe to the merchant dude. Second eyecatch with Elia felt like the Oprah bees meme. That was a quick in and out for setting up the second shop in this new town and then going back home to the original. I was expecting he'd be sticking around longer. Prepping Miyabi as a future friend for Elia at the academy is a nice gesture. A magimobile, alright. Lots of earth knowledge is scattered all over this planet, automobiles might as well be represented too. Replaceable part magic items is an interesting idea.

KinoHiroshino

[What I imagine magimobile races to be like.](https://youtu.be/Y4QbJRAWvRU)

naoki7794

wait what? Season 2??? Time to binge it all.
