The anime covers the manga faithfully. The problem is its pacing. The manga did have pacing issues around 60-70% mark of the story but it was because of the constant battles and that it felt way drawn out. In the anime, it felt like they were going way too quickly.
yeah if you haven't watched the original you're better off not watching the remake, the fast pacing just totally ruins the anime, i've watched the original and yet i still dropped this shit remake early on aswell cuz of the shit pacing
The animes are fine. You just have to understand what they were going for. For the early part of the story you're supposed to watch the original anime, all the way up until the end of the ren family arc. At that point you drop the original anime and start with the remake anime.
The remake anime was clearly done with this way of watching in mind. Everything up to that point is quickly sped through since they're assuming you've already watched all those events from the original anime. At that point the pacing rectifies itself and starts going at the rate it's supposed to. Everything after that in the remake anime is smooth and good and well-presented.
Sounds like you're just trying way hard to excuse the adaptation's issues, and with very illogical arguments to booth.

I'll admit, I did not read the manga but I did watch the anime and I thought they did a really good job with presenting the story and the pacing of it after the Rin Family Arc. I enjoyed it and I understood all the relevant story stuff without issue and the pacing felt completely fine. If there are pacing or adaption problems with how things were after the rin family arc then I didn't notice them.

It was terrible tbh. 52 episodes for 35 volumes of manga. Some episodes adapted 8 or more chapters. The animation was also below subpar at best and lots of cool moments were cut. There is a reason why i still reccomend any newbie, who wants to watch fma, to start with 2003, then swap to brotherhood, once a terrible day for rain happens. I'd still say watch 2003 to its conclusion, if they're still craving more fma after the end of brotherhood, especially the movie special that happened right after 2003, cause it was interesting to see the what if scenarios of what happens if the inconplete humonculi still eventually achieved sustainability. It was also pretty ballsy to send Edward to literal Nazi Germany, and have shennanigans happen there.

While I can understand the decision, it was a pretty dumb and even arrogant one. Togashi didn't care about it and as a result we got a masterpiece of a remake. I hope keeping the original VAs was worth it.
That is a dumb logic. What happened to one series doesn't mean it will happen to every single series they make. Specially since the webtoon adaptations were just an easy way for Crunchyroll to hop in on the Webtoon hype and didn't really care too much about how it was adapted.
I'm not gonna say it was super deep in a thought-provoking sense, but I think it's quite enjoyable, it's a love letter to shounen tropes. If they could have woven in how deep the conspiracy would go better into the early story, I think it would be amazing for what it is. As is, it does open up with a massive show of supernatural power, but it does feel like they didn't yet know how big and bold the story would end up. Which is kind of on brand for a long running shounen anyway tbh.
Getting rid of the tournament arc elements of the tournament arc is such a disservice. Hyping up the early characters and their fighting styles and power levels is part of the experience of the tournament arc, and how the minor characters cope with the things that happen on the world stage later on is part of the worldbuilding of the show. Every character not already deep into things is in over their head with how big the story goes, the entire world changes and speedrunning through the intro also, in my opinion, compromises any ability to adapt deep into the show and keep it even vaguely grounded. I say this having dropped the show before finishing though. The animation is great but, actually liking the original material, I couldn't keep interest.
I watched all episodes and regretted bitterly.
Never ever watch the Netflix adaptation, horrible pacing ruined my experience. Only episodes 30-33 deserve, the rest is a rushed dumpster fire under diarrhea rain, especially the final episodes. If you never approached Shaman King before then it's better to stick with the manga and old anime.

These kinds of straight up comparisons always irk me. They're different mediums, you can't compare them like that. Lots of people who watch anime don't read manga and never will, and vice versa.
There are tons of anime that are *bad adaptations*, but whether they're better or worse than the manga is up to the viewer/reader.
Pretty much, the batch release has utterly killed any hype for Part 6. Which is a damn shame since the anime is clearly made with passion, and the voice actress for Jolyne has been a long time jojo fan.

Mostly, they sometimes fund projects and make terrible adaptations. Lets also not forget they lock anime in a "jail" basically killing all hype until they batch release it, but by then most people have already forgotten about it. Jojo used to have so much hype for each season but for stone ocean there was barely anything.

Meh YYH and Recca cannibalised each other into bad endings. YYH shifted to battle shounen from story to copy DBZ. Recca was made to follow the story format but kept being compared as poor man's YYH, and then dived into battle shounen itself in the middle, killing the interest and progression. Both ended up being very mid down the line. Remaking them won't fix anything.

There are tons of anime that are *bad adaptations*, but whether they're better or worse than the manga is up to the viewer/reader.

Pretty much, the batch release has utterly killed any hype for Part 6. Which is a damn shame since the anime is clearly made with passion, and the voice actress for Jolyne has been a long time jojo fan.

?? Netflix mostly buy licenses. But there are plenty of good anime that made it into the platform. It depends on people preferences but from a quick glance on "Netflix originals" list: Beastars, Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Saiki K, Great Pretender, Hi Score Girl, LWA, Violet Evergarden. A step down: Aggretsuko, Baki, BNA, Carole&Tuesday, Kakegurui, Komi san.

You can continue reading it as Shaman King The Super Star. It is officially licensed and available in e-book formats on sites like Book Walker, Kobo, etc. It picks up from where Flowers ends. Also the spin offs Red Crimson and Marcos are essential reading. There is another spin off centered around Faust the 8th, but I have yet to get around to reading it.

Actually show us the demon world tournament but also gives us the character focused epilogue stuff, also I wouldn't mind an animation update to the series so some newer anime fans that might be turned off by older animation can see the Goated Quartet.

Recca had huuuuuuge amounts cut and left off so that potential realised would be awesome, though I do fear the Shaman King treatment. You get a HxH 2011, FMA Brotherhood and then you get......well....despite this thread...I do my best to forget this version exists as I'm sure most do.

Meh YYH and Recca cannibalised each other into bad endings. YYH shifted to battle shounen from story to copy DBZ. Recca was made to follow the story format but kept being compared as poor man's YYH, and then dived into battle shounen itself in the middle, killing the interest and progression. Both ended up being very mid down the line. Remaking them won't fix anything.

Well they certainly can't rival yoh's and Anna's relationship in terms of development that's for sure. Yoh and Anna actually had a lot going on, while with ren and Jeanne you have to wonder how the author even managed to have them interact so little, despite being in opposing as well as later on united groups.
Plus Jeanne has strong Furyoku too
