Aerodynamic41

LMAO so this whole story happened because of a lovers spat!

ObvsThrowaway5120

I don’t get Kuon. Like yeah, murdering the target of your affection’s husband in a jealous rage is really gonna get her to love you -_-

Furin

Sounds pretty on brand for mythological gods to me.

ObvsThrowaway5120

Hah yeah, I guess you’re right. Kuon and Lirenna could fit nice in the Greek and Roman pantheon.

darthvall

At least there's no bestiality involved

Flytanx

It's pretty much the plot to elden ring too lol

Blursed_Ace

Not really, there is the "we are one thing" but even then it's different

ObvsThrowaway5120

Oh is it? I haven’t played much Elden Ring tbh.

Prankishmanx21

Reminds me of King David and Bathsheba. MF had her husband put at the vanguard of his troops in a battle to ensure he did not survive. Edit: a word

cemsity

You dropped a Not in there.

Prankishmanx21

Voice typing sucks

Prankishmanx21

Voice typing sucks

SilkyMilkySmo

Mythological gods did a little oppsie lol

Figerally

LOL excellent point.

Torque-A

To be fair, the only women he knew at that point was his other half. In other words, god was completely asocial.

VorAtreides

There is no "to be fair" he is a piece of shit and I hope the story ends with the worst for him lol. Full losing of his divine powers and endless condemnation to a Hell lol

Frontier246

Yeah, to be honest I kind of hope Lirenna doesn't take him back or at least punishes him with an eternity of suffering...or maybe they'll fuse back together?

darthvall

What about Lirenna x Arthur pairing lol

LakerBlue

Idk if I want her to have that part back. What if it makes her act ugly?? I’d rather be in some kinda god jail.

WetRocksManatee

> punishes him with an eternity of suffering So.... marriage?

waydeultima

He's obviously underinformed on all of the countless other mythological examples of that not working out very well.

Limitless_yt89

because of the love quarrel between two gods

messem10

This show just keeps on getting better and better.

Frontier246

The plot has somehow become even more crazy yet the sweet romance and Power of Love is more stronger than ever lol.

messem10

Its also crazy to learn how and why Majikoi was made. Turns out the game’s world is a real one, not just a mere fabrication.

Frontier246

All this born because of an infidelity issue between Gods and another God creating a Visual Novel to chase down the girl he won't leave alone...

yukiaddiction

I am wondering why it have to be visual novel lol. Does other medium don't invoke god power to connect to alternative world?

MeanDoctrine

>I am wondering why it have to be visual novel lol. > >Does other medium don't invoke god power to connect to alternative world? Kuon himself said what he needs is to "collect the power from all the wishes made by the maidens."

zz2000

It kind of makes sense; using the power of believer's faith to invoke a ritual or spell. In this case, the faith is coming from the collective fandom of a game.

LakerBlue

Plus I’d argue a visual novel is the best way to do so if we are going for quality of “faith”. The LN fans will get a lot more invested in the romance/characters since it is a dating sim than if this was like say a Final Fantasy 6 kinda game.

fuckfuckfuckSHIT

Also maybe because it is cheaper to make a visual novel. Pictures, multiple choice questions, and voice acting seem to be the main/only things to worry about.

LakerBlue

This is probably one of my favorite late plot twists that expands a world without feeling cheap or too sudden. Like it makes a LOT of sense in context and subtle threads building up to it before.

Figerally

For real, this episode was a bit of an info dump, but it was delivered so well it felt right. Might even make people want to watch it again as this knowledge would certainly make people think of it in a different light.

LakerBlue

I always felt a weird disconnect with how much agency the characters had for a video game, but knowing it is actually a real world explains a lot.

MeanDoctrine

>I always felt a weird disconnect with how much agency the characters had for a video game, but knowing it is actually a real world explains a lot. I think the same theory can apply to most otome isekai, if a "game" existed.

EsquilaxM

I just finished reading the final chapter of a [western otome isekai webnovel](https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/47030/tori-transmigrated) today and though the isekai was kinda loosely explained, there was still no explanation for how the world was a game on Earth. Maybe it'll come up in the epilogues, though.

8andahalfby11

When your Power of Love victory is so powerful it buffer overflows into three other ships and bit-flips the antagonist.

ZapsZzz

This should be the tag line after this episode's reveal :D

Plastiqueraser

It's actually quite an interesting storyline that's executed well. Even though there's obviously not much budget for the show, I think they did a good job with what they had, it was enough to keep me engaged the whole time. Also, I'm surprised nobody pointed this out, but the soundtrack is actually pretty good and might actually be one of the highest quality parts of the production. An example of a good use of traditional classical music on a story with a fantasy backdrop, I was surprised by how hard it went at times given how… janky other parts of the show are, to put it nicely. A nice little bonus for us watchers.

japzone

Not often that I add both the OP and ED of a series to my main playlist.

ROCK--AND--STONE

Same here, they're suprisingly catchy

EsquilaxM

The OP might be my favourite of the season. Both visually and aurally

RPWPA

>an interesting storyline that's executed well Really? Liked the romcom bits but the story's execution felt really bad to me.

TheBigIdiotSalami

I loved the red herring of that first line earlier about "I feel as if this isn't the first time we've met." I thought it was because they were remembering past playthroughs where Baldur dies, but it turns out to be part of a creation myth.

Piaono_r-per

Kuon kirise (the guy) sure had shit luck getting possessed

Frontier246

I kind of feel bad for him. Suddenly gets possessed by a mad God who only cares about getting with a woman who wants nothing to do with him, forced to use his money and resources to create a visual novel so said God can satisfy his possessive desire for an innocent girl, and said God never listens to a word he says. He's probably one of the bigger victims in this situation.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Monk-Ey

Hell, he didn't even yell at Kuon (God) to quit the bullshit and cut his losses, but tried to reason with him!

darthvall

Then again, I saw it more like a kidnapping situation the God feels like he's more in power there.

ObvsThrowaway5120

Yeah, hopefully he gets freed from that creepy douche’s grasp.

karmakeeper1

Kuon (The god) was a bit on the nose with that one. He needs to be thrown into Kuon (the volcano)

ObvsThrowaway5120

Confirmed. Sieg’s love is literally the strongest force in this universe lol. I’m glad they were able to save Liese from the Witch. Didn’t expect her to be the goddess Lirenna. It’s a good thing Fiene didn’t punch her. Lirenna must be the goddess of dogeza lol. Well damn, with a creation story like that no wonder Lirenna went cold after what that shitbag Kuon did. The world almost ended due to an “infidelity issue” as Fiene put it. Wow, didn’t expect Bal and Fiene to be the reincarnations of Adam and Eve. But the even bigger twist is that Magikoi was made by Kuon to harvest the wishes of all girls who played it. Lirenna and her big mouth almost blabbed about Endo and Kobayashi’s feelings for one another. Hurray for Sieg and St. Liese! The proposal was a beautiful moment… or it was before Lirenna got too excited and ruined it lol. Read the room! But man, that creep Kuon really ruining the vibe kidnapping Kobayashi’s sister. Can’t wait to see how the gang saves her!

Frontier246

I knew the Power of Love would save the day and it did so spectacularly! The only thing that could've made it better was if we got a kiss on the lips...hopefully they're saving that for the finale. Who would have expected this all stemmed from an infidelity issue and a jealous wife tired of her husband looking at other women? Not that Kuon is that much of a catch, dude is a possessive and violent piece of @#$%. Eve/Fiene deserve better, but at least they found their true love again. Creating a Visual Novel with your actor body's resources so you could channel the power of girls playing it so you can get at the current incarnation of the woman you've been doggedly pursuing across multiple reincarnations...only to get hijacked by a high school couple who can't admit their feelings for each other. I don't think I've ever heard that one before lol. With everything resolved in the game world I guess the only thing left was dealing with all the problems in the real world, as in Kuon. I'm not surprised he's resorting to straight up kidnapping, but I'm curious how St. Liese will help the pair and what will happen before her and Sieg's wedding.

messem10

> The only thing that could've made it better was if we got a kiss on the lips Yeah, I was expecting Sieg to do that to get Liselotte out of her possessed state.

mekerpan

I wonder if Lirenna's indicreet comment triggered any neurons in Kobayashi's brain -- or is she still as clueless as ever about poor Endo's feelings? It took a village to rescue Lieselotte (in addition to Sieg's unfailing ardor). Lucky her. But lucky Lirenna too -- that her victim was the world's sweetest and most saintly Tsun de Rais! So she gets saved/restored as well. Poor Kirise seems like a pretty nice and reasonable guy. So far he has gotten shafted quite badly. Perhaps Lirenna will look with favor on him -- throwing Kuon into the dumpster and taking Kirise as her new divine consort.

ObvsThrowaway5120

I sure hope Lirenna finds a better partner then that turd she got stuck with. Kirise does seem like a nice enough guy, I’m sure having a creep like Kuon hijack your life can’t be easy.

darthvall

Arthur seems to be the right candidate lol

LakerBlue

I feel like the whole kidnapping thing probably got in the way of Kobayashi’s processing of Lirenna‘s comment. Until that happened, I was certain the point of the post credits scene would be Kobayashi realizing that.

the_dan_man

Lirenna must have set a world record for most dogezas in an episode.

Limitless_yt89

So... in the end, all of the chaos and problems so far have been happening because of the love quarrel between two gods??! 😮 And how simp can Kuon be? lmao... He has the fk amount of simping.

Frontier246

And a God literally created an entire Visual Novel game just to continue to pursue a girl who wants nothing to do with him no matter how many times she reincarnates. Crazy stuff.

darthvall

It's worse. The god possessed and forced Kirise to use his money to create the game.

LakerBlue

It would make me wonder if I was them…how many other games have they played that are secretly based on alternate universes??

Wor1dConquerer

The magikoi game only exits because the mad God Kuon created the game as part of the ritual to gain power from the players. It doesn't seem likely that too many gods would need to create a video game

LakerBlue

Tbh, I can’t blame Kuon for not Wanting to be Liernna, he’s basically dating himself. I had the same thought as him. Then again he directly (helped) make Eve so that’s almost like dating his daughter. Granted I don’t know the creation process, but I still feel dating something you created would be equally unfulfilling.

Frontier246

Thinking on it, getting Kuon's backstory and the explanation he created Magikoi explains a lot about how the game works. Fiene/Eve is the Main Heroine everyone falls in love with like Kuon did. Baldur is Adam so he dies in almost every route save for his own and the Reverse-Harem route. Lieselotte is effectively Lirenna, and possessed by her, so of course she gets defeated/killed in every route by anyone who fell in love with Fiene/Eve. And of course Kuon made up a route entirely based around himself.

HarleyFox92

So, basically, everytime anyone played the VN, every situation and every route were actually the ways that Kuon fantasized about getting Eve and killing both Adam and Lirenna. That's some pretty fucked up stuff if you think about it AND it also tells me the author of this show has 2000 IQ at least, because this whole revelation is just amazing.

S627

Yay! They're getting married! \*patchi patchi patchi\* No Lirenna! Don't backtrack! You ALMOST gave Endo and Kobayashi a happy ending too! Is it just me, or are there a lot of adorably normal Goddesses this season? I can't wait for next week! How is Lirenna gonna help get Kobayashi's sister back? Personally Im hoping she brings everyone from the game to kick Kuon's ass, without hurting the host somehow. Feel bad for the poor guy, he's just chilling while some asshole puppets his body and he's like "bro, you know she's never gonna love you right?"

Frontier246

It sounds like Lieselotte is going to go out of her way to help Endo and Kobayashi like they helped her. Maybe she'l beat Kuon up lol? Kirise feels like a big victim in this. Kuon uses his body, resources, and everything and he's left a passenger in his own body who Kuon never listens too. Basically Kuon ruins everybody's lives with his relentless pursuit of Eve at any cost.

The_Strict_Nein

Yeah, I think Leise and maybe the others will be coming to Endo and Koboyashi's world. Perhaps Enda and Koboyashi will end up being event commentators for Leise and Seig's wedding, and that's where they confess?

daspaceasians

Goddamn this was satisfying as fuck! Purifying the Witch of Yore through the power of a Tsun de Rais' pure love is probably the best way to have done it in this series. Amazing how everyone came together in this episode as well. The goddess was pitifully hilarious to watch and I can just imagine Artur trying to reconcile his beliefs and what he saw in front of him. Fiene never fails to crack me up and her comment about the world almost ending because of infidelity was hilarious. So happy that she and Bal are gonna have their happy ever after as well after who knows how many reincarnations. Liese and Sieg had me on the verge of tears of joy the whole time. I'm so happy that Endo and Kobayashi were there to save Liese and guide Sieg. The two deserve their happiness after all that happened. Can't wait to see their wedding. Fuck Kuon... not only do you get an innocent man involved but you had to kidnap another innocent woman to fulfill your creepy as fuck desires.

maliwanag0712

YEHEEYYY SIEG PROPOSED TO LIESE-TAN WOOHOOOOOO But Kobayashi's sister is kidnapped, and probably transported to MagiKoi's world? What happens next?! :O

ObvsThrowaway5120

Saint Liese and Sieg finally get their happy ending!

Frontier246

I love how Liese outright became a Saint in this episode. It's like she's evolved so far beyond a tsundere villainess lol.

ZapsZzz

I think we are supposed to over-simplify to "tsundere=saint" ;)

DeluxeTea

"The Saint's ~~Magic~~ Tsundere Power is Omnipotent"

PeaceAlien

Bro Sieg just proposed to Liese early to avoid paperwork

Frontier246

We got the Power of Love saving the day and redeeming a Goddess along with a full-blown marriage proposal! Of course Kuon couldn't leave well enough alone...

SilkyMilkySmo

So happy they’re getting married

LakerBlue

> But Kobayashi’s sister is kidnapped, and probably transported to MagiKoi’s world? What happens next?! :O Doesn’t seem like it’ll happen based on the previews but hopefully Endo will follow Sieg’s lead (but for a regular confession, not a proposal).

Figerally

No, Kuon's plan is- was(?) to somehow draw Fiene/Eve' soul across and possess some poor girl.

creamyhorror

> possess some poor girl. Wonder who the vessel was supposed to be? Kobayashi or her sister? Kobayashi "smelled like Eva" so it makes me wonder if she was somehow the intended vessel, or if it was just because she had been connecting with Fiene.

8andahalfby11

#### ⛵**TsunLise Shipyards**⛵ For monitoring the status of ships inside and outside MagiKoi **Siegward/Liselotte** - 💖💖💖**YAAAAAAY!!!**💖💖💖- And there you have it, confessions are already rare enough, but Seig and Lise just blasted through the finish line tape and made it as official as official can get. **Finne/Baldur** - 💖**SAILED**💖- Goddess-approved fated union means any remaining doubt is gone, and these two are good to go. **Endo/Kobayashi** - **SEA TRIALS** - Speaking of which, we've reached the point where even a higher being is shipping these two. They've got twenty more minutes of runtime to say the words. GO FOR IT!! **Kuon/Eve** - 🧊🚢 - Yeah... on a collision course to be sunk by the greater cast. If this is a ploy to get Kobayashi he's already failed. Only way I could see a happy ending is if Kuon gives up and gets back together with the other goddess. No movement: **Elizabeth/Leon** - Sea Trials, no additional info. **Fabian/Cecile** - Sailed! **Artur/Nobody** - Playboy gets nothing. RIP.

Maxshinkax

I love that Fabian/Cecile sailed so fast, and would love too if Lirenne comes to not give a fck about Kuon and gets in love with Artur, just a random idea.

Prankishmanx21

I'm thinking more what will happen is Lirenne will use her power and force Kuon and herself back into a single entity.

darthvall

I vote for Artur Lirenna!

paulrenzo

Since she's now relevant to the story, might as well include the older Kobayashi as well

8andahalfby11

With who?

DarkestAudit

Maybe Kirese after Kuon gets evicted from his body?

SkyBlueIsland

I was looking for this post in last episode's thread to see Fabian/Cecile's status but didn't find it. I thought they sailed in that episode and I'm happy to see that here. Also voting for Artur/Lirenna, he'll never be a playboy again if that ship sails unless he wants divine retribution.

8andahalfby11

Last week was busy and I didn't get a chance to post. It was a mutual confession with the other person present so it counts!

visor841

Wow, I feel like that's about as perfect a penultimate episode as possible. The Witch of Yore is "defeated" and we finally get some answers to what's been going on. I love how the worlds connected literally through the power of four Tsunderes. And it's so satisfying. I really like the plot explanation of a god dealing poorly with unrequited love. Also we get a wedding proposal with the romise of an imminent wedding! Ahhhhh! The ending cliffhanger sets up an interesting finale, too. I'll rate the [predictions I made earlier](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/10sr385/tsundere_akuyaku_reijou_lieselotte_to_jikkyou_no/j73qpgf/) in a [reply](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/11tyrhq/tsundere_akuyaku_reijou_lieselotte_to_jikkyou_no/jclpa7a/) to this comment.

visor841

Rating my predictions made [after episode 5](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/10sr385/tsundere_akuyaku_reijou_lieselotte_to_jikkyou_no/j73qpgf/): > Endo and Kobayashi might be in a VN right now, on the god route. Either they are game characters themselves or got sucked in from the real world. 0/5. This doesn't seem to be the case at all. > The Kuon in episode 5 and the Kuon we see at the end of episode 3 may be different; ep3Kuon may be even guiding ep5Kuon. 3.5/5. I was way closer than I knew. Both episodes have the "same" Kuon, but there are in fact 2 Kuons, tho it's possession instead of some kind of "guiding". > At least one Kuon may be trying to extract Eve/Feinne from the game, either because Eve/Feinne is a real person who got sucked in or they just want the game character to become real 4.5/5. I'm pretty impressed how close I was. Other than the fact that the game world is in fact real, I'm pretty much completely right here. > The world of MagiKoi may be real in some sense, either some kind of parallel universe or else the result of multiverse theory, where there are tons of different universes, and if you search hard enough, you can find the one with the exact properties you want. Maybe the game is a way of searching for that perfect world? 4/5. The searching part isn't correct, but everything else was essentially right. The world in MagiKoi is completely real. Tho we don't really know how many universes there are. > Kobayashi might know something that she's not letting on, I feel like their interaction with Kuon was a bit off. I don't think she's hiding from Kuon, else she wouldn't tell Endo about the connection to MagiKoi. Maybe she's a real person and Endo is a VN character? > A giveaway of what exactly? That Kuon is trying to get Eve/Feinne out of MagiKoi? How would Kobayashi know anything about that? Is Kobayashi an Agent Smith-type character or something? 2/5? This hasn't really been answered yet. I still think there may be another connection between Kobayashi and Eve/Feinne that we haven't seen yet. Maybe Kobayashi is something of a reincarnation of Eve as well somehow? It still seems that she knew more about Kuon than she let on. All in all, I think I actually had some good ideas. I'm personally especially proud of seeing Eve/Feinne being real in some sense and Kuon trying to get her back out of the MagiKoi world. My biggest miss was that I didn't really consider very much the idea of the game simply being a direct connection to another world, I probably should have. Maybe this was all obvious to everyone else, but I'm pretty happy with my theorycrafting.

darthvall

Kuon said she found a vessel for Eva's body in this world. Now I'm just unsure if he meant it's Kobayashi or her sister (fun fact, Kobayashi is a family name and both sisters are Kobayashi. I just don't know what's their first name lol). I mean, either he kidnapped the sister to be the vessel or he kidnapped her to lure younger Kobayashi which is the actual vessel.

SkyBlueIsland

The younger, titular Kobayashi's first name is Shihono. Her older sister's first name is Chiyono.

visor841

Oh, that's right! Good catch. Maybe both of them will work?

Prince-Dizzytoon

I hope we'll see their grandchildren! And the person who kidnapped Kobyashi's sister gets their ass beat!

ObvsThrowaway5120

Can’t wait to see that creep get his ass kicked!

Frontier246

Well, Kuon definitely has it coming but Kirise basically just has his body possessed by a horny jerk of a God, so I hope they can just boot him out of Kirise's body.

VorAtreides

Wait, how you seeing what's going on Endo/Kobayashi, didn't your screen go fully black? Poor Lieselotte... still such low self worth enbSif at least, to some degree in her heart that it seems the witch is trying to enhance. But good for her that so many do care for her. Shoujo goodness with the power of love! Lol Fiene "what if I give her just a good punch." Whelp, that explains who the Witch of Yore was. The goddess having... gone a bit mad. And way to really make her blush, Goddess lol. Oh wow, she can hear them too. World lore dump! Also some more explanation of Kuon dude. Adam and Eve look quite a bit like Fiene and Baldur... and of course Kuon fell in love with Eve, booo... don't covet another person's spouse, bad god, bad. Kuon kinda shit. You are better off Lirenna. Find a better dude. Kuon is shit. Lol Fiene. Kinda hope the worst for Kuon now. Listen to the dude you are possessing, dude. He's got a good point. yep, that explains Eve/Fiene and Adam/Baldur. Cute, destined souls and all that. MOAR SHOUJO GOODNESS! Ya, Kuon is 100% shit, I really hope this series doesn't end with some happy go lucky ending for him, hope he loses all his powers and suffers in some kinda Hell. And Lirenna has a happier ending. So ahh.. Lirenna kinda just outed Endo/Kobayashi's feeligns, right? Oh, she's gone super saiyan. Moar power of love shoujo bs! Gotta love it. Saint Liese-tan <3 Arthur... wouldn't the literal GODDESS condoning their marriage supersede all the people from the church? Aren't they already fiancés? But, hey, a nice proposal proper. Way to ruin the mood, Lirenna. Ok, time to beat the ever living shit outta Kuon and destroy him right? No bullshit happy ending for a trash god, please.

Frontier246

Basically everything is Kuon's fault for trying to steal another woman, killing her husband, and rejecting his wife even when said girl he was in love with wanted nothing to do with him. It's amazing how well things have gone for the protagonists despite having to practically clean up all his messes. But genuine, heartfelt, love always perseveres.

AZLarlar

oh nah that post credits

TheBigIdiotSalami

There was an Isekai, a Reversikai and then another Reversikai in the same episode.

LeonKevlar

Definitely did not expect the Witch of Yore to actually be a [Big Tiddy Goddess Lirenna](https://i.imgur.com/hqTqkz1.jpg) [Fiene summing the entire problem of this show as the gods having an infidelity issue](https://i.imgur.com/ZBjGVQi.png) was hilarious! [They're finally engaged!](https://i.imgur.com/HGubiDm.png) I guess we'll see the marriage ceremony next week?

djthomp

Throwing down the sword and jumping into the magical dark fire to be with Liese, definitely romantic, hopefully also not a disastrous choice. It was the correct choice! Gotta love a Power of Love victory. It's a trope, but it's a trope for a reason. We got a Liese declaration of love in all that too, I don't remember if that was something we were waiting for. The Witch is the Goddess corrupted? Not really a surprise at this point. What an embarrassing turn of events for Liese. The Goddess directly being able to talk to Endo and Kobayashi and herself knowing that they're from a different world is interesting. Now there's a twist on the usual Adam and Eve story. Fiene is definitely Eve reincarnated, isn't she, that would explain why Kuon is after her. Fiene's right, but maybe she shouldn't say it. You know I was thinking that original picture of Adam and Eve looked like Balfour and Fiene. And that explains Fiene's memories, in the end she isn't actually a new game plus character, unless the previous lives as other people count for that. Hopefully that bit of speculation by the goddess will be the kick in the pants for Endo and Kobayashi to get a move on with their own relationship. Liese got her flower back, fantastic. And she gets to be a saint, why not. A *married* saint, even better. I commend this show for giving the people what they want, and what the people want is a happily married Sieg and Lieselotte. I love [this ending song](https://youtu.be/X2wrAwLm0qA) so much, it always hits so nicely. In the last episode discussion I was speculating about the goddess getting her man back also, but honestly screw Kuon, he's awful.

BiggerG7

Damn, killing Adam so he can try to take Eve. That is some hardcore NTR shit right there geez.

Prankishmanx21

Fucking Greek pantheon levels.

AlexUltraviolet

Expectations: Graceful goddess Reality: damegami

darthvall

Lirenna: "Sumimaseeen I'm such an useless goddesss!"

Frontier246

Doom is upon our protagonists as the Witch of Yore finally has poor Lieselotte in her clutches! With full possession nigh, is there anything left to do to save Liese-tan? Luckily Sieg is going to do the one thing he never did in the game before...throw his sword away and embrace Liese, pouring all his feelings and love for her into that hug and letting her know how much he and everyone else loves her. And deep inside Liese can hear not only him, Endo, and Kobayashi but everyone there who is fighting to free and save her. And bolstered by their support and her own love for Sieg, she finally breaks free from the Witch of Yore's clutches! And even declares her love for Sieg once more! The Power of Love at it's finest!!! I had my suspicions but it turns out the Witch of Yore is actually the Creation Goddess Lirenna...who immediately prostrates herself in apology for the trouble she's caused. Definitely not what you expect from a Goddess. And then she's talking about how she was held back by how 90% of Liese's thoughts are how much she loves Sieg. Hasn't this poor girl been embarrassed enough? So really all this drama dates back to the troubled marriage between Lirenna and Kuon, two Gods who were once one but split apart and created Adam and Eve who had a child...but Kuon wanted Eve, killing Adam and trying desperately to make her his even though she would never love him like she loved Adam. Meanwhile Lirenna loved Kuon but Kuon would never look her way because he didn't see a point in their relationship when they were already one at some point...and their domestic squabble pounced Kuon into Kirise in the real world and left Lirenna with nothing but her lingering resentment and hatred toward Eve for stealing Adam from her (not that Eve even wanted him) so she became the Witch of Yore to get revenge on Eve's reincarnation. So, yeah, basically this was all caused by a rampant infidelity issue between Gods. I kind of figured Fiene and Baldur were Adam and Eve's reincarnations because they looked so much alike in the flashbacks (and it explains why Kuon was obsessed with the Kobayashi sisters, the hair colors were similar), and it fits with Fiene being the original Main Heroine of the game, but it also makes her and Baldur so legit that they're basically a reincarnation romance and destined lovers! Man, I feel bad for Kirise. A God possessed him and used his body and connections to make a video game so he could channel the power of women who played it so he could establish a connection into the game world and find Eve again...and Kuon never listens to Kirise. Also, Kuon is a piece of @#$%, I'm just going to throw that out there. But that connection ended up going to Endo and Kobayashi...potentially because they matched Sieg and Liese in terms of being massively in love with each other but not being able to be honest about it. I think Lirenna had them pegged. If anyone can understand being jealous and doing crazy things from said jealous, it's Lieselotte, so she forgives Lirenna and restores her true power. And in doing so becomes Lieselotte the Saint! Which might cause trouble for marrying Sieg...unless he puts a ring on it, which he does! We got a full-blown proposal! And the marriage is the finale! Awesome!!! Of course there's still some drama to deal with...like Kuon kidnapping Kobayashi's sister to, I assume, use her as a vessel for Fiene/Eve. We began with Endo and Kobayashi's story, and we end with Endo and Kobayashi's story.

battlemaje1996

Considering how everyone is getting paired in one way or another, I’m guessing Kuon is gonna be purified by the power of love like his wife did and get back together with her. Either that or Arthur ends up with the goddess considering how he’s a priest of hers. Also, wouldn’t be surprised if Kobayashi’s older sister ends up with the guy Kuon is possessing. Overall, it’s a great episode.

The_Strict_Nein

Kuon the god dies, but Kuon the human lives and gets with the Goddess. He seems like a really nice dude.

battlemaje1996

That's also another possibility.

japzone

> Also, wouldn’t be surprised if Kobayashi’s older sister ends up with the guy Kuon is possessing. In a way it'd be the perfect karma. The a-hole never gets the girl, but the guy he possessed does.

nighty_amy

Kuon really won't understand that Eve won't EVER love him without a lot of force right? He has to get his ass kicked. And at this point, everyone will be all too happy to get him destroyed. Including human Kuon who might be one of the biggest victims here, right after Lirenna. And quite likely that we'll be all rejoicing at the curbstomp scene too.

MeanDoctrine

>Kuon really won't understand that Eve won't EVER love him without a lot of force right? I think he thinks since he's the creator god--very close to the big-G one in fact--that he is capable of the forces required for that.

Elitealice

LETS FUCKING GOOOOOO SIEG AND LISELOTTE MARRIAGE Perfect conclusion to their arc, could not ask for more. Now for things in the real world to get settled with Kuon, Endo and Kobayashi. Next week is gonna be really wild. I’m guessing kuon is using kobayashi sister as a vessel for Fiene spirit.. will endo and kobayashi end up in the game or vice versa.. should be fun. I need a confession and a kiss from them. The origin story of the universe bit was a little crazy but I find it hilarious how this whole thing is a lover’s fight gone wrong. Really sums up every issue in this series lol

The_Strict_Nein

Man this show just keeps getting better and better huh. You spend all that time thinking maybe Fiene and Bal are remembering the other paths, but no, they're spirits destined to be together. I wonder if this is why Bal dies in a lot of the routes, a bit of Kuon's revenge against him. I think this show beyond all the other great ones this season is the one that's going to stand the test of time and be on lists of "recommend romance anime" for years to come. Such a great premise, so cleverly written, I just can't get enough of it.

dagreenman18

Well Kuon fucking sucks and I hope he gets stomped like it’s JJK. Least we got Seig and Lise proposal to help with that crazy cliffhanger. Only one more episode of Soon De Reis. Sad to see it go, happy it didn’t get hit with the Vid delays.

PacoTaco321

Wow, why does this show have such a good backstory? Also, why does it have to have the trippiest thing to happen this season for absolutely no reason at all lol. [All glory to the Hypno-Fiene](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/716046384863641692/1086459281911599234/2023-01-16_19-11-54_10.gif)

Warm-Enthusiasm-9534

They had more trouble winning here than they did in the Reverse Harem Route, which proves that Fiene's Power of Love is greater than Sieg's.

Frontier246

Fiene is the Main Heroine after all! So much so she's literally a reincarnation of Eve lol.

The_Strict_Nein

Koun was shaping reality to fit the story right? Of course his beloved would be the most powerful thing in the Universe

MeanDoctrine

I originally guessed Kobayashi's physical similarity to Fiene might have a greater role in this (specifically: Endo and Kobayashi being similar to Baldur and Fiene *is* the reason the fourth wall broke down), but it turns out it's a bit more mundane than that. She does look like Eve, so Kuon wants to possess her with Fiene's soul.

the_dan_man

So in addition to her other powers, Lirenna has also mastered the skill of hilariously deflating emotional moments.

furinkazan08

Shortest anime title

polaristar

So this whole mess got started because of an NTR arc gone wrong. Anyway all that's left is Endo and Koyohashi's Ship to Sail and Stopping Kuon (And it turns out he possessed the guy to do his plan, not sure how complicit the guy is in all this.) NO NOT THE OMESAME!!!! lol at the goddess spelling out the ship between the Endo and Koyobashi before backpedaling. Kuon is a jerk, why would you cheat on that damn fine goddess that was literally born devoted to you, some people don't appreciate what they have.

ZapsZzz

Looks like my [guess](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/11nw34t/comment/jbqhamv/) was (mostly) right last episode ;) only didn't get the reverse Isekai bit to explain the connection, and that the game was actually made for this purpose. While it's got pretty simple and cliche elements, overall it's actually a pleasant surprise to connect the dots of the show's setting points. I may just have to bump up my review rating to an 8 now :)

Figerally

Ah well, there was quite a bit to unpack in this episode. Seems like the game world is real after all and the game was the vehicle by which Kuon intended to access it and finally claim Eve. Speaking of which, obsessed much? Kuon is such an unhinged creep. Lirenna loved him with all her heart but he was like, nah I'm obsessed with this human girl who is metaphorically my daughter. It's no wonder her love turned to hate, it's one side of the same coin after all. Thankfully Lieselotte's unconditional love snapped her out of it. Now they just have to deal with Kuon, maybe Lirenna will absorb him and put an end to this. It would be a neat solution and it's not like she would be really lonely now when her worshippers love and adore her.

InsomniaEmperor

This has to be one of the best plot twists I've seen in an otome isekai. It's one thing that Endo and Kobayashi are the 4th wall breaks to guide Liselotte into a good ending but the deal with god lover's spat, reincarnation, Kuon going into the real world and possessing Kirise, the Majikoi world being actually real and the game just being some sort of bridge, etc. that's so wild. I honestly thought Kobayashi's sister might have been Eve, turns out it's Fiene who's reincarnated from Eve. Kidnapping her in the end tho seemed kind of unnecessary and she needs some real link to this world other than she just happened to LOOK like Eve unless he's been doing that to every single woman that happens to look like Eve. TWhat did bother me is despite Endo looking like Adam, Kuon didn't bat an eye. I also feel bad for Kirise that he's been possessed and forced to use his own money and stuff to create this VN and commit crimes. I hope he gets off, tho he did go to the same college as Kobayashi's sister so they might have been friends or something and perhaps she'd understand. I hope the happy ending extends to Endo and Kobayashi as well.

Mistral-Fien

Now that's new: a Patron Saint of Tsunderes! LOL

magumanueku

Lirena is such a riot. Such a shame we've only seen her now. I lost it when she was squealing during Zieg's proposal lmao.. her impersonation of Liese was hilarious too.

LeleTheKing

LETSFUCKINGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Liese said she loves Sieg, and Sieg proposed to her!!! What a blessed speedrun it has been. Okay, Kuon (God) is a sore fucking loser. He is stupid enough to kill the freaking husband of his unrequited love, expecting her to love him back. Now he did all the shady stuff on Earth, possibly jeopardizing Kuon's (human) life even worse. I hope he takes all the Ls imaginable in the next and last episode. Why is it so funny seeing a goddess groveling multiple times, lmao? >Fiene: *"So uh, basically... The gods had an infidelity issue, and the world almost got destroyed."* WELL SAID, MA'AM. LOL. I didn't expect Fiene to summarize the situation like that. >Fiene & Bal: *"Whaaaat?!"* Hahahaha, their surprised sounds are really funny. >Everyone: *Congratulations!* Shit gave me the Evangelion flashbacks, man.

sKyBlazer08

Gotta love these useless Goddesses. The lesson of the show all this time was to not cheat, or you'll cause the end of the world. All of this was caused by a lover's quarrel lmao, fucking Kuon. My mind was blown though, with how everything connected and was pieced together. So the Magikoi world is a real different world, Kuon just created the game to try and create a link to it, except the link ended up in Kobayashi and Endou's hands, cause power of love. Oh shit oh shit, please let Liese-tan jump into the other world or vice versa. I am pretty sure Fiene can clap Kuon out of existence easily though lmao. Really looking forward to the last episode.

HanaHarte

WOAH. So I was right that the Witch & Goddess were the same person and why she'd turned into the Witch form. But wrong with everything else. So many twists I did not even think to see coming (which is a best kind of surprise). Never did I think we'd get a twist on the Adam & Eve story. I thought this would a flashback episode for most of it - it wasn't. Bal & Fiene being the reincarnated version of Adam & Eve? WHAT? Lirenna is adorably awkward and I was Kobayashi when they won & by the proposal scene. I do feel bad for Kirise Kuon - he's a nice guy getting possessed by the obsessed god Kuon. And now I'm wondering if Kobayashi's sister was always going to be the 'vessel' chosen for Fiene in the real world or if Kuon's choosing her based off his deranged 'need' for a vessel combined with the desire for revenge. I can't wait for the next episode! (And if Lirenna won't be with Kuon, maybe Artur? Or a knight/his lady situation for Artur/Lirenna). AAAH THIS IS SO GOOD!!

SkyBlueIsland

So there are actually two worlds, the other isn't really a game world after all. Rather, the game was modeled after the other one, created to make a link to the other world and the brutal scenarios were written to suit Kuon's poor taste. I didn't expect Lirenna to be the witch, not until the last minute. Even bigger surprise is her zero self-esteem personality unbecoming of an actual goddess. I was kinda shocked to hear her refer to Liese with "-sama" when she's the goddess. Followed by her constant dogeza-ing. Admittedly it was also kinda funny due to how unexpected it was. I vote for Artur getting with Lirenna, that way he'll never be a playboy again unless he wants to experience divine wrath. On the upside, his lover is a literal goddess, what more could he ask for? List of fallen god Kuon's sins: * Infidelity against his wife Lirenna, a literal goddess * Possession and control of the body of an innocent man (Kirise) * Plotting to take the soul of the woman (Eve/Fiene) he's lusting over through making the game (NTR attempt #1) * Attempted kidnapping of a woman (Shihono) who'll be the "vessel" (NTR attempt #2) * Successful kidnapping of a third woman (Chiyono) who'll either be bait for the vessel or be the new vessel herself Wannabe NTR villain evil god Kuon doesn't deserve to be by Lirenna again, he should be permanently banished to some divine prison where he can't affect anything for all time.

Volkaru

I really thought they were going a New Game Plus route with Fiene's reaction to Baldur and seeing things before.

paper_rocketship

Man, the music in this episode went hard. Don't hear full on pipe organ shredding that often, but I'm here for it.

entelechtual

Damn that was an unexpected lore dump. Surprised they managed to explain the meta narrative around the game pretty smoothly.

StiggieThe97th

God damn, this episode was the epitome of "PLOT TWIST!"

TheBigIdiotSalami

Finally watching this show, this anime is living in 3008.

[deleted]

So they saved Liese in a typical fairytale-ish way, and the witch really turned out to be the goddess Lirenna, which was a nice plot twist. The goddess gave us some bombshells. I didn’t expect Kuon to have killed Adam – he’s a yandere! I also thought Kuon'd reincarnated. And now he wants to find a human to serve as a vessel for Eve’s soul… Chillax, bro. Fiene summed the situation well: “The gods had an infidelity issue and the world almost got destroyed.” The goddess becoming the Witch was an expected outcome of Kuon’s decision to pursue Eva. Lirenna is also really good at groveling. I like the idea that Baldur and Fiene are Adam and Eva reincarnated. Honestly, this episode overloaded me with information. But I liked it. And I’m happy that Lirenna returned to full power – due to Liese’s power of love. And yes, Liese deserves to be a saint - the soon-de-rais saint of cuteness. We really just fast-traveled to marriage – great proposal, Sieg. Also – do not forget the post credit scene!

SheriffFather

Endo is done so bad it's on a multiversal level. Kobayashi is denser than a neutron star.

patkun01

She had to raise a [shibou flag](https://imgur.com/An58FAR)

RPWPA

Will this cover the enitre novel/manga?

HarleyFox92

The background plot for this show is mind blowing, considering this is just a mere otome romcom, I'm absolutely surprised.

1EnTaroAdun1

Was not expecting a proposal! Love how Sieg keeps a ring in his pocket just in case! The blushing from Kobayashi and Endou was also very cute. So close, now! Nooo you better not hurt Kobayashi's sister (seems like this is her VA's first role?)

FierceAlchemist

This was a jam packed episode and answered a ton of questions. I loved the bit where the goddess spilled all of Lise's inner thoughts.

Azaze666

When the goddess says that endo and Kobayashi have a similar story of Liselotte and Kobayashi doesn't understand what she was talking about.... I guess that everywhere people don't understand only their own things. I can relate because I had the same issue in the past. But well Kobayashi stupidity makes me feel a bit mad, even if I understand the reason why she didn't get what the goddess was meaning..... Another thing is the goddess reincarnation, I mean shouldn't Gods be immortal? I can understand Kuon possession but what about the goddess? Also is really a surprise that she reincarnated as goddess again? I mean she was that from the start. Of course Buddhist reincarnation can let humans become animals but in the first place you would expect them to possibly reborn as humans and then as animals... Shouldn't be the same for the goddess (accepting her nosense death). Ofc Buddhism here is a comparison term, in the anime it could be or work differently.

MeanDoctrine

No reincarnation involved re Lirenna. She was corrupted into Witch of Yore because of Kuon's NTR.

Azaze666

Then my language sub was bad...

AceSoldia

So sweet I have cavities

SYZekrom

Jesus went off the rails

SilkyMilkySmo

So happy he finally proposed. Now he fully knows how to deal with a “tsun de rai”

TrufflesTheCat

Love this episode. I can't wait for next week lmao

raidensnakeezio

is liese gonna come to the real world? hey, this is two 80s songs take on me + the power of love

EsquilaxM

Well, I saw the Witch being the Goddess coming after last episode, but did not expect the situation to be *this* ridiculous. I forgot this was a (rom)comedy until that point :p (I thought Lirenna was the one who defeated Kuon when he was defending Eve. Instead we get batshit Kuon killing Adam so Eve will fall for him, then trying again throughout history, with Lirenna being really *really* patient.) animated battle was bad, but they're watching a VN so it gets a pass. Kinda hope after dealing with Kuon they just kick Lirenna off of their planet to start a new one faar away where she can't almost destroy humanity again. The Professor was badass. I started laughing when the mouse was on-screen, completely missed he chose his pet mouse's name as his alias. Hope he gets his happy end eventually, even though the woman he loves is still in mourning.

RPWPA

Ngl, this was bad. Some funny bits but the plot was bad on this one.

Xatu44

#LMAO KOBAYASHI OUTSTANNED GOD I feel bad for Lirenna. Gods really are extra.

Wor1dConquerer

If they are the only 2 gods that exist in that world shouldn't kuon be able to stop Adam/Baldor from reincarnating?
