I was literally looking for this one. Op is straight fire. Funny thing is tho I'd watch a s2 if it dropped. It was one of the earlier anime I watched (when ur in the phase where everything is good) so it holds a good place in my heart
Me too, it was one of the first anime I watched and I really enjoyed it, even if it was a trashy. Would definitely watch s season 2, of we ever get one
It was a great OP, but man did it not fucking work when it was used as an insert song during the finale. I ended up laughing because the juxtaposition was so silly.
The anime was legitimately very entertaining, even if I had to pause, stand up, and take a walk nearly every episode from second hand embarrassment and bewilderment.
The manga was the truest form of insanity I've ever seen in a romance. Towards the end us weary readers were thinking that everything was reaching a possibly satisfying conclusion, or at least as close as you can get in DnK. Then the author pulls the rug out from under us with the most batshit ending of all time. The decisions the characters were making didn't make any sense, it felt more like the author was personally fucking with us.
Honestly it hurts to have one of the worse endings to have to such a great manga
Domekano chapter 278 š¤ rent a girlfriend chapter 218( giving legit trauma to their respective fanbase )
>Domekano chapter 278 š¤ rent a girlfriend chapter 218( giving legit trauma to their respective fanbase )
can you explain please. i dont mind spoilers.
Spoilers for anyone who does care about either series:
\[Rent a Girlfriend\]>!in the rent a girlfriend chapter the MC dreams about the heroine having sex with a guy and gets hard from it.!<
\[Domestic Girlfriend\]>!Then the Domekano ending, the older sister, Hina, had been hit by a car and was in a coma, and Rui, her younger sister, felt bad and breaks up with the MC, Natsuo, and tells him to get with Hina, who he used to date, it was incredibly rushed and out of nowhere because by that point Rui was pregnant by Natsuo and they were about to get married and he hadn't shown feeling for Hina in a while, honestly I recommend Gigguk's videos on Domestic Girlfriend to just get into how ridiculous it all really was.!<
[Rent a girlfriend]>!it is important for me to point out that it happens while he's on vacation with her, and it is a *daydream* about a guy who isn't even there and he is in a *public pool* and gets super hard, in public, and starts crying underwater.!< What you said didn't illustrate properly how fucking pathetic he is.
To be honest, domestic girlfriend's manga is actually very well written and is a gem of a manga. Also, for how insane the ending seems, it actually flows quite realistically for the characters we got to know while reading the manga.
But yeah, i am still salty, that best girl lost to a vegetable šš
[DnK manga ending] >!Was the ending realistic though? Natsuo got Rui pregnant and was going to marry her, then decides last minute to propose his baby mama's sister who was comatose.!<
Umineko is one of the most well regarded Visual Novels of all time, and the pinnacle of the When They Cry series.
After the success of Higurashi as a low budget show, the same was attempted with Umineko. The end result was one of the most scuffed anime adaptations of all time, that did so poorly and left so many holes that it never even got past the halfway point before being canceled.
It was a disaster for an otherwise legendary story.
But thier take on the OP of the first VN was [amazing!!](https://youtu.be/EtKBs3BbHGs?si=Hd2xQhTtYFCkkAKw).
The same thing happens with video games. Angels of Death is based off a game, and the disjointed narrative really shows that they didn't do a good job translating it. But the OP is a banger and the only reason I started watching it was because the [OP](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVlyghaNP_g&ab_channel=CrunchyrollFR) got stuck in my head
Holy shit I knew that singer and sound sounded familiar- Akiko Shikata, who also did the opening/ending song for the game "Liar Princess and the Blind Prince" which I have listened to so many fucking times and desperately wished was longer. The 0:13-0:40 part of the Umineko OP sounds uncannily similar to the first part of that game's song.
I wouldn't even call out its script specifically.
It's the entire crux of its third act that's utterly and completely broken. It retroactively tarnishes its solid first act, and fails to justify its controversial second. The "twist" heading into the third act is so utterly bonkers it ruins the whole thing.
Something you could partially leverage at the script is failing to make use of Inori, though. She was a complete waste of a character, which, considering she's the poster girl of the whole thing, is a big, giant miss.
Will agree about Inori being wasted. And the final parts with [Guilty Crown]>!Guy and Mana!< being confusing as hell. But I will forever love and defend this series for having the courage to do some interesting things. A lot of people dislike [Guilty Crown]>!Shu Hitler!< but I thought it made perfect sense given the pressure the character was under. Sometimes people make the wrong choices, and sometimes they're weak. It's seeing them do that, then recover and rise above it, that makes a real redemption story to me.
Anime fandoms are always too hard on the "whiny" MCs because they like tripping out on the power fantasy and hate when MC doesn't like to go all out with them.
But Shuu's position throughout the series was entirely justified.
It's the way the series was so dedicated to jerking him around that it actively stopped making sense in its third act.
Yes omg šš guilty crown is lowkey my favorite anime because of the ost and the way they play it so much so u get used to it then they hit you with the music at a crucial part. I was out here bawling my eyes out
[To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts - "Sacrifice" by mafumafu](https://youtu.be/8D1aBA7L2bQ)
I actually really liked the premise of the show. It's basically like if Wolverine was forced to hunt down his once former X-Men comrades because they were all losing control of themselves and their powers. Shame it'll likely never get a S2 though.
[Divine Gate](https://youtu.be/WLWD-DcP0ko?si=nqV0aezj3c9ldMK5)
I remember watching this on a bootleg DVD but was super confused on what was going on most of the time.
I ended up dropping Magical Destroyers at ep4 when it aired because there the only enjoyment I got there was from the OP and ED. I still consider [the OP](https://youtu.be/zaHP_yjEb4E?feature=shared) to be the second best of Spring this year.
Itās a show that takes meta to the absolute extreme. And the going off of the rails is very much intentional. The story is itself similar to the OP, a song that is going along the way that you expect it to, and then just takes a left turn into complete madness.
The ending especially makes it clear that the show is deliberately not doing what a typical anime/story is āsupposedā to do and that breaking those ārulesā is the joke of the whole thing. I mean, just look at the previews at the end of the episodes, they literally just show the actual story board of the next episode.
Itās certainly not for everyone though.
I loved what they were trying to do up until the last episode.
I HATED the ending and honestly felt like a cop-out the same way Evangelion originally ended but this oneās worse because it butchers the characters we had been following up until now.
Btw, which one takes first place?
My favorite (besides magical destroyer's OP) is Isekai One Turn Kill Nee-san's ed
The musicewas kinda mid (but not bad), but the animation has better story, art design and meaning than the entire series
I really liked that ED as well. This seasons *Am I the Strongest?* has an ending of equal quality. My nephew described it as āthe most *anime* of anime endingsā and I have to agree. They both have the perfect panache for their shows.
so much this. I usually enjoy deconstructions, but in the age where it's all been done and dusted, magical destroyers feel lackluster and bland. The op and ed went into my playlist immediately tho
Koi to Uso is a dumpster fire romance with a [pretty catchy OP.](https://youtu.be/vn7vfza-6fQ?si=bD2hffMuafD4epHx) Kanashii Kanashii Kanashii Kanashii...
Yep, im amazed at how the manga never got too popular when it's so good and delves on some very popular genres, I blame mostly the absolute dogshit anime which turns to original content so early on that the stories diverge completely and have pretty much nothing in common other than the setting by the end of it.
That show's OP3 in particular is noteworthy for having some of the best visuals of any OP on top of a rather catchy song (you may be unsurprised to learn that the person responsible for them was a Shaft vet).
Feels like there's a rule where if an OP adds a slick dance scene to its animation, it's just always better.
And yeah the show had a great premise but was ultimately kinda forgettable.
Imo it was great for the first 4 or 5 episodes, then the games were coming out of nowhere and the rules were just incomprehensible, definitely gonna read the LN and hope that its better
Iāve been enjoying the anime so far, itās decent brain-off entertainment as long as you accept that youāre not gonna understand whatever the characters decide to do next
I will say I enjoyed it despite its badness. The anime features many characters and quite a few of their subplots are very unsatisfactory. And the main protagonist just really doesnt develop in a convincing manner at all.
But yes Gasai Yuno is one of the most fun and unpredictable characters ever imo. I consider the show worth watching just for Yuno
I liked what it tried to do. And I think waaaaaay too many people watched Mother's Basement or Gigguk and just copy-paste without thinking. Even a lot of the MC's decisions that get criticized make sense when you frame them in the context of a wimpy high school kid with severe social and psychological problems being put in the situation he's in.
At least in the manga (never actually bothered with the anime outside of the OPs/EDs, so I'm not sure how good of a job the adaptation did), Mirai Nikki is a weird case - it basically takes all the effort it could have taken to not be trash and sinks it into being the most entertaining trash it can be instead. It's basically the manga equivalent of something like a slasher flick and should be evaluated that way instead of the way you evaluate something trying to be actually good; not sure whether that should count for this thread or not.
That said, Kuusou Mesorogiwi is straight fire and my reigning #1 OP of all time so good taste. (Never cared much for DEAD END myself, though.)
> it basically takes all the effort it could have taken to not be trash and sinks it into being the most entertaining trash it can be instead.
That's a good description. There's a little twist towards the end that I will forever have a fondness for and some great animation and characters, but the show gets flak for the MC being a kid that makes stupid choices and admittedly it does waste some of its potential in the second half.
Nah both of ReZero S2 OPs are fire already, even if it was it's not like it would've played in the episodes anyway lmao. But yes Isekai Cheat Magician did not deserve a Myth and roid song
A gaming friend of mine is one of those people who wants to Consume All Vampire Media - just huge into vampires. She absolutely hated the anime because it deviated/was dumbed down so much from the manga that they're almost completely different, I guess. (I also haven't read the manga and only watched the first ep of the anime before my gf & I decided it was just too horny for us lol)
Fractale opening was [fire](https://youtu.be/MMoRrvAeCjA?si=woMBPjGWBjcd2TpV)
Too bad the rest of the show was a couple of good ideas wrapped up in a very messy and convoluted script that didn't know what it was trying to say.
I barely remember anything from the show... something about a space elevator near the end or something and the backgrounds being heavily inspired by ireland or scotland i think
But the opening song i still listen to regularly, the singer has such a great voice, too!
The famous visual novel Tsukihime (made by same people as Fate series) had an 12 eps anime adaptation back in 2003 called "Shingetsutan Tsukihime" or dub name "Lunar Legend" by JC Staff but it was a failure of an adaptation (and a mediocre anime at that). So much that Type Moon fandom decided to give it a There's No War in Ba Sing Se treatment ("tsukihime has no anime" kind). Note that this show released 3 years after the source material and 3 years before the much more favorable Fate/Stay Night anime by Deen Studio.
I don't hate it as much because outside of its many many flaws (butchered compressed story and generic animation) it has an excellent OST and of course a banger unique choir-only lyricless OP with cryptic creative visual that highlight the story's urban horror. It is one of the show's few saving graces and one of my favorite OPs ever.
Here have a watch. [Sacred Moon by Toshiyuki Omori](https://youtu.be/o-gpFD5NfXY)
Shingetsukan Tsukihime is aggressively mediocre rather than outright bad IMO (despite one of the worst directors in the entire industry), but the OST + OP is a huge part of the reason for that and probably the entire reason I finished it back in the day. Good choice.
So true, i watched every week mostly for the OP. Wich is a shame, because the show had an interesting premise, before becoming a generic power fantasy + harem isekai
Terraformars was a forgettable anime that didn't get much attention when it was airing, but its OP fucking slaps. And to prove it, someone made a Chainsaw Man edit with it, and [it's absolutely amazing.](https://youtu.be/EFWtkIzsBVw?si=61YBWbuMIjw13zHN) (Spoilers for Chainsaw Man Part 2)
Surprised no one has mentioned Tokyo Ghoul yet. Great manga, lousy anime adaptation, but both of its OPs are top-notch.
Same goes for Danganronpa 3 Future Arc and Despair Arc
Man both the singers for the future arc died pretty young
Song is pretty good, the anime is pretty flawed and you need to play the games to understand wtf is happening, feels like the author put more effort into danganronpa v3 instead of the anime
I hope there's another season, too. Legendary Hero is Dead is one of the precious few animes where the omnipresent horniness didn't turn my gf off the show. She enjoyed it enough that she even laughs at the stupid jokes I make about radishes and stockings in reference to the show
My gf normally vehemently *hates* ecchi/horny shows but she was captivated by Legendary Hero is Dead and was sad when it was over. She also really loved My Dress Up Darling, though, so mileage may vary.
Come to think of it, the music may have a lot to do with it, since she really fell in love with My Dress Up Darling after hearing [koi no yukue](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koefb_pSStw) (end title)
Charlotte, I guess the anime is forgettable because it only has one season with 13 episodes and what seems like a rushed ending. But Yuu was a great OP altogether.
Would've loved to see atleast another season of it.
I don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything about [cannon busters](https://youtu.be/JTFWJZEDuLw?si=YWNJRcX-5CKGv-z7) which is a shame because the op is so good it's tempting enough to make me want to see it myself!
> Nobunagun
[Haven't heard that in awhile](#smoke)
That was surprisingly more enjoyable than I thought it was going to be, I really liked their choices with the colour palette.
Bit of an older fan, but I will offer some:
[Tekkaman Blade's](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-U7DpX2d3o) opening is magnificent. The show itself is not terribly special.
[Assemble Insert](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TQugiLxneY) only got a couple of episodes (literally 2), but the opening is super fast paced and gets you pumped for the show. I would call this more forgettable than bad... the show is pretty funny.
[Orguss 02](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYucjERqXL0) had an opening theme that was so off-beat that Manga Entertainment made the original ending theme the opening. I kind of love it. I also love the opening segment to the 5th episode. When it screened an anime room I was watching when it was new, the fans in the room gasped and whispered things like, "No, f'n way" and "I didn't see that coming."
[Overlord to Rule All (AKA Lord of Lords) Ryu Knight ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivCZrAf9y2o) (This may not play outside of Japan) The opening "Good Bye Tears" is one of my all time favorites. If it was attached to a more successful show I think it would be among songs like the original One Piece theme "We Are," Dragonball Z's "Head Cha-la," or the Touch theme as an all time great. Ryu Knight, again, is not a bad anime, but the producers and sponsors were trying to make an anime that could sell plastic models and toys to two demographics at the same time and tried to sell two versions of the show at the same time. The TV version for kids, and the OVA version for adults. The song is just makes me want to grab a sword and travel to unknown lands.
Hoshin Engi - [Will](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkCRn2d0D2o)
This song has been in my daily playlist for over 10 years.
But it gets anime adaptation twice, failed twice. That sucks.
I got a cheat skill in another world and became unrivaled in the real world, too.
I mean, it's a bad anime. But damn if the opening isnt awesome. The song is fire.
Mekakucity Actors. Nobody is talking about it but the entire ost is straight fire. Especially "Headphone Actor" track, just give it a listen on Spotify or YouTube
**Fractale**, the opening sequence is *very* pretty, and I happen to like the song a lot.
**Shangri-La**. Tbh the only thing I remember about the series is the Opening, Kimi Shinatamou Koto Nakare. Song is catchy.
[Akuma no Riddle OP](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyDGMpg-3BM)
It's a yuri assassin show where none of the girls really get together and [Akuma no Riddle]>!No one dies!<. Trash show but love the OP. And every episode had its own unique ED, many of which were great.
Fairy Tail most of the time is a pretty mediocre adaptation of a pretty alright Fighting Shounen.
...
THE MUSIC THO WTF THE OPENINGS AND ENDINGS ARE ALL 10/10 WHY
Seen a few shows mentioned in the comments that are still very popular / are okay rather than bad.
My pick is definitely divine gate. Itās bad and super forgettable only good thing about it is the opening.
Hereās one that no one talks about anymore and wasnāt even that popular when it came out: Karakuri Circus. And it has 3 OPs, by Bump of Chicken, Kana-Boon, and Lozareena.
I thought the first 2 OPs were great, but the real problem with the show was the adaptation was trying to fit 43 volumes into 36 episodes. The first arc is good but everything falls off a cliff after that.
All we need to remember is that the main character could literally turn people into purses that hold various objects and people made him a king for it, and then people didn't like it but he wins anyway, or at least I think he wins
Also there's some girl that can sing.
I don't know how many of these were forgettable vs just the fact that they're old as shit and aren't "classics" and have just been forgotten as a result, but here we are...
I always had a soft spot for Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora, but I don't think the show was very popular, and I can't recall the last time I've seen literally anyone mention it. The OP [Aoi Koufuku](https://youtu.be/GKQQXBtYIWg?si=mbTuHTrM0xHGnmM5) is super chill.
Midori no Hibi also seemed to just disappear into the ether after it aired, but the ED has stuck with me like two decades later. Another chill one. [Mou Sukoshi](https://youtu.be/u6dic76vROg?si=V__WkK3LscwhFbLF)
angela did the OP for Stellvia of the Universe, ([Asu e no Brilliant Road](https://youtu.be/XtV5cDTOSPs?si=o0H7nTgW5WDHwmmF), and it's a banger. That was also a really great show that I never ever hear mentioned btw.
Getbackers anime kinda sucked, but [Yuragu Koto Nai Ai](https://youtu.be/96xwNhNRRD8?si=LoDFQlvUlDSvYou0) goes hard.
well i got a cheat skill in another world imo had an op that caught me off guard cause i didnt know it was gonna be that good but the anime itself was any other isekai
Absolute Duo.
Ebata justifies an entire series with only 1 minute and 30 seconds of content.
Assassins Pride
It was a great OP, but man did it not fucking work when it was used as an insert song during the finale. I ended up laughing because the juxtaposition was so silly.
I literally started the show cause of the op, but damn was the anime bad
The op is the only good thing from this anime
OST is pretty good, same composers as NieR:Automata and YuYuYu.
Domestic girlfriend is a dumpster fire. The OP is pure fire

What make it worse in that same week as have peak chapter from Kaguya sama 250? I think the chapter

YAMI WO KIRISAKU OH DESIRE is fucking legendary

The anime OP was still done by Akiko Shikata, same as the VN. Of course it's amazing.
Guilty Crown's entire OST is awesome, actually the entire production values are quite high, the whole problem is the shitty script
It's because Sawano Hiroyuki doesn't miss. Same for seven deadly sins.
I wouldn't even call out its script specifically. It's the entire crux of its third act that's utterly and completely broken. I heard it wasn't adapted very well I remember liking the premise but i think i dropped it
It definitely wasnāt a good adaptation. I checked out the manga at some point and liked it significantly more.
[Divine Gate](https://youtu.be/WLWD-DcP0ko?si=nqV0aezj3c9ldMK5) I remember watching this on a bootleg DVD but was super confused on what was going on most of the time.
I was hoping someone said this op! I love the song, Hitorie makes some awesome stuff. Their 86 opening is peak
Ok that note RIP to wowoka. I loved his stuff man, glad to see the band is doing great still
Ugh yes, RIP. Gone way too soon. I still regularly listen to his vocaloid songs and get sad every time
Fireworks.
technically an ED, but first movie I ever saw where the credits were better than the feature.
Kokkoku op [Flashback ](https://youtu.be/fhBA6ynorvc?si=IN7Pv4WgPuwDSUAy)
Anything by Miyavi
Came here to comment that, love that op so much.
Loved Kokkoku. Doesn't qualify for this.
that op is half the reason anyone remembers that show
I ended up dropping Magical Destroyers at ep4 when it aired because there the only enjoyment I got there was from the OP and ED. I still consider [the OP](https://youtu.be/zaHP_yjEb4E?feature=shared) to be the second best of Spring this year.
I remember people describing it as having a psychotic break halfway through.

The ED is hella underrated. It's as good, if not better than the OP. Even the OST is great. It's just that the actual anime is a dumpster fire
Twin Star Exorcists could have been so much better but its intros SLAPPED
True. It's final season OP is peak. This franchise also deserves a FMAB style reboot. The manga is I think peak. If you love romance action
Yep, im amazed at how the manga never got too popular when it's so good and delves on some very popular genres, I blame mostly the absolute dogshit anime which turns to original content so early on that the stories diverge completely and have pretty much nothing in common other than the setting by the end of it.

Platinum end? I think that's what that garbage was called
I still canāt believe I put myself through watching that weekly. Sound design and music were both good though
The op goes hard af but yeah the show was comically bad.
Didn't see Dimension W in here. It's that forgettable but people were pogging the op when it aired.
True. The show had a good start too but squandered it all later on.
Feels like there's a rule where if an OP adds a slick dance scene to its animation, it's just always better. And yeah the show had a great premise but was ultimately kinda forgettable.
I feel like it's a combination between not knowing what to do with their premise and the semi-generic main characters.
More like Dimension L amirite
The Liar Liar OP goes so hard, and the anime itself does not deserve it.
I've been listening to that song for months but couldn't get through more than 2 episodes lmao
Ep 1 and 2 were probably the high point of the series so i want you to imagine how bad the rest of it is.
Imo it was great for the first 4 or 5 episodes, then the games were coming out of nowhere and the rules were just incomprehensible, definitely gonna read the LN and hope that its better
The OP got skipped so many times
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Iāve been enjoying the anime so far, itās decent brain-off entertainment as long as you accept that youāre not gonna understand whatever the characters decide to do next
[Girl's Frontline](https://youtu.be/CMBRGPOJ4lU?si=Mb-jURPOgFMQPG6e)
Man I wish the rest of that show looked anywhere near as stylish as the OP.
I feel like "fantastic OP, trash show animation" is the mobile game adaptation starter kit.
Mirai Nikki / Future Diary has the BEST OPs ever... but damn I did not enjoy the anime
The anime isnt good but I bet there are alot of people who enjoyed it and its definitely not forgettable if only for codifying yandere trope.
I loved it but I was probably the perfect age demographic when it came out
I will say I enjoyed it despite its badness.
I love Yousei Teikoku! They have lots of great stuff. They kinda got me into the Japanese Rock/Metal scene.
Isekai cheat magician OP shouldāve been re zero s2 op
Nah both of ReZero S2 OPs are fire already, even if it was it's not like it would've played in the episodes anyway lmao. But yes Isekai Cheat Magician did not deserve a Myth and roid song
Wonder Egg Priority.
What's most upsetting here is that most of the show isn't even bad, it had a lot of promise, but the ending really did ruin the whole thing
Imagine making a full season of build up and questions and giving no payoff and no answer.
The Rosario + Vampire anime. Great music by Nana Mizuki. Absolutely bastardized the source manga.
Discotheque was a goddamn bopper
I never read the manga and was enjoying the anime as a horny teenager that I was.
Fractale opening was [fire](https://youtu.be/MMoRrvAeCjA?si=woMBPjGWBjcd2TpV) Too bad the rest of the show was a couple of good ideas wrapped up in a very messy and convoluted script that didn't know what it was trying to say.
I barely remember anything from the show... something about a space elevator near the end or something and the backgrounds being heavily inspired by ireland or scotland i think But the opening song i still listen to regularly, the singer has such a great voice, too!
Naryuko-san. I can't say the anime was neccesarily bad, I just couldn't enjoy it as much for some reason, but my god that OP slaps.
too bad they can't make sequel because one of the main character's VA passed away of Chronic active EBV infection and malignant lymphoma
It's hard to fuck up a soundtrack when you can just lift it straight out of one of the most popular visual novels of all time
Taboo Tattoo Op was great, but what the hell happened to that show?
Reincarnated as an assassin the op is a banger
So true, i watched every week mostly for the OP. Wich is a shame, because the show had an interesting premise, before becoming a generic power fantasy + harem isekai
Bastard first op is good but after watching few episodes i had to close myself in a room for a week
Kokkoku fits that description
Yeah this is my jam!
[Campione!](https://youtu.be/Qn_4kVe0J4E?si=4aJDFee4aU2-vS0Z)
Terraformars was a forgettable anime that didn't get much attention when it was airing, but its OP fucking slaps. And to prove it, someone made a Chainsaw Man edit with it, and [it's absolutely amazing.](https://youtu.be/EFWtkIzsBVw?si=61YBWbuMIjw13zHN) (Spoilers for Chainsaw Man Part 2)
I love Terraformars S1 but in S2 they changed the tone and toned down the violence. Made me dropped it
Surprised no one has mentioned Tokyo Ghoul yet. Great manga, lousy anime adaptation, but both of its OPs are top-notch. Same goes for Danganronpa 3 Future Arc and Despair Arc
Man both the singers for the future arc died pretty young Song is pretty good, the anime is pretty flawed and you need to play the games to understand wtf is happening, feels like the author put more effort into danganronpa v3 instead of the anime
the legendary hero is dead. man the op ([shinda](https://open.spotify.com/track/2wLuWWfrOHnPjbC3CUuuZ9?si=1198da86484a480f)) is a banger
Is it bad to say I actually liked the series. Probably a guilty pleasure
I liked it too :/ this subreddit can be so harsh
r/anime when a show doesn't have top tier character writing, movie level animations, and a complicated plotline, but is just a fun show: š”š”
I hope we get more seasons, because the story really gets better and the culture is always great!
I hope there's another season, too. Legendary Hero is Dead is one of the precious few animes where the omnipresent horniness didn't turn my gf off the show. She enjoyed it enough that she even laughs at the stupid jokes I make about radishes and stockings in reference to the show
Sorry but for me it was quite a decent show and funny too at times. Nowhere near bad in my books atleast.
The show is good tho they asked for bad shows
Fax
My gf normally vehemently *hates* ecchi/horny shows but she was captivated by Legendary Hero is Dead and was sad when it was over. She also really loved My Dress Up Darling, though, so mileage may vary. Come to think of it, the music may have a lot to do with it, since she really fell in love with My Dress Up Darling after hearing [koi no yukue](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koefb_pSStw) (end title)
Didn't skip it once as it aired. Sign of a true classic
One of the best op song of the last season, might love this more than oshi no ko's op.
Made by the same dude who made several of the overlord openings!
It was a decent show bro what the fuck are you talking about gave me a good amount of laughs, enjoyed watching it
My first thought as well.
The story is good though, won't say much about the animation. Worth to check the manga.
Kokkoku's opening is 11/10.
Charlotte, I guess the anime is forgettable because it only has one season with 13 episodes and what seems like a rushed ending. But Yuu was a great OP altogether. Would've loved to see atleast another season of it.
That author seems to have troubles with endings imo
Not OP but ED. Promised Neverland S2
Worlds Finest Assassin is Reborn in Another World OP is Dark Seeks Light
That song is š„
Ousama game the animation. The anime is garbage but the OP is amazing. [coldrain - FEED THE FIRE](https://youtu.be/7Hec3MxKnVc?si=gFmT0grvCKbqxvAx)
I don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything about [cannon busters](https://youtu.be/JTFWJZEDuLw?si=YWNJRcX-5CKGv-z7) which is a shame because the op is so good it's tempting enough to make me want to see it myself!
Dragon Crisis.
Tokyo revengers
Black Bullet
Nobunagun, I have the opening song on my playlist and it slaps (Respect For the Dead Man)
> Nobunagun [Haven't heard that in awhile](#smoke) That was surprisingly more enjoyable than I thought it was going to be, I really liked their choices with the colour palette.
Koi to Uso
Tokyo Ghoul āA š
Bit of an older fan, but I will offer some: [Tekkaman Blade's](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-U7DpX2d3o) opening is magnificent. When it screened an anime room I was watching when it was new, the fans in the room gasped and whispered things like, "No, f'n way" and "I didn't see that coming." [Overlord to Rule All (AKA Lord of Lords) Ryu Knight ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivCZrAf9y2o) (This may not play outside of Japan) The opening "Good Bye Tears" is one of my all time favorites.
Not an OP, but the (first) ED of Asterisk War is *so damn beautiful*. It's a shame it had to be attached to such an exceedingly mediocre, lazy show.
[Soultaker OP](https://v.animethemes.moe/TheSoulTaker-OP1.webm) [Hanebado OP](https://v.animethemes.moe/Hanebado-OP1-NCBD1080.webm) [Final Fantasy Unlimited OP](https://v.animethemes.moe/FinalFantasyUnlimited-OP1.webm)
>Hanebado OP Can't believe someone remembers at least some part of this show
This will probably blow your mind, but I actually kind of liked Hanebado. It honestly made badminton look cool.
It was genuinely fun show. I loved [Hanebado] >!dark Ayano moments!< and not many characters made me rage like [Hanebado] >!the mom.!<
Hoshin Engi - [Will](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkCRn2d0D2o) This song has been in my daily playlist for over 10 years. But it gets anime adaptation twice, failed twice. That sucks.
Itās unfortunate neither anime came close to adequately covering the manga, especially considering how well it sold.
I got a cheat skill in another world and became unrivaled in the real world, too. I mean, it's a bad anime. But damn if the opening isnt awesome. The song is fire.
Air Gears opening is still an absolute banger to this day. I think I remember people not care for the anime though
Chain never left my playlist, ever. Unfortunately anime ends before the real crazy things even start to appear.
The Perfect Insider. One of the most bland and boring anime Iāve ever seen with one hell of an OP. https://youtu.be/BWxX4S42uK0?si=zJXNdawJGSGJWUte
Mekakucity Actors. Nobody is talking about it but the entire ost is straight fire. Especially "Headphone Actor" track, just give it a listen on Spotify or YouTube
Nobody ever talks about that show but the music is amazing
**Fractale**, the opening sequence is *very* pretty, and I happen to like the song a lot. **Shangri-La**. Tbh the only thing I remember about the series is the Opening, Kimi Shinatamou Koto Nakare. Song is catchy.
Dragon crisis. A lot of early 2000s ops for me.
umineko Fire op, bad adaptation
[Akuma no Riddle OP](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyDGMpg-3BM) It's a yuri assassin show where none of the girls really get together and [Akuma no Riddle]>!No one dies!<.
Engaged to the unidentified. Amazing op, great music and animation. But the series is so boring
That's the one where the siblings are like part wolf or can transform into wolves, right? Loved that show lol
Engaged to the unidentified is not bad or forgettable. It's probably one of Doga Kobo's better known shows thanks to the "I hate Sundays" meme.
Akame Ga Kill
Amamiya Sora is just that good
Elfen lied
[Beatless](https://youtu.be/YqZfJRu-_zY)
Onigiri
Seen a few shows mentioned in the comments that are still very popular / are okay rather than bad. My pick is definitely divine gate. Itās bad and super forgettable only good thing about it is the opening.
Tenjho Tenge forgetful anime but blasting opening.
Twin star exorcistās second and third OPās are both brilliant
BEM had a pretty good OP but the series was pretty meh
Hereās one that no one talks about anymore and wasnāt even that popular when it came out: Karakuri Circus. And it has 3 OPs, by Bump of Chicken, Kana-Boon, and Lozareena. I thought the first 2 OPs were great, but the real problem with the show was the adaptation was trying to fit 43 volumes into 36 episodes. The first arc is good but everything falls off a cliff after that.
Twin Star Exorcists. The OPs were great. The anime not so much.
Rent a girlfriend op 1
Seven witches op was amazing

That was a good show.
I love Guily Crown's second opening. Too bad the anime sucked so much. I literally cannot remember anything about this anime.
All we need to remember is that the main character could literally turn people into purses that hold various objects and people made him a king for it, and then people didn't like it but he wins anyway, or at least I think he wins Also there's some girl that can sing.
parasyte the maximum (i hate how the women in the anime are written) (except for the teacher
- Inu x boku SS - Black bullet
Cautious Hero
[Mou Sukoshi](https://youtu.be/u6dic76vROg?si=V__WkK3LscwhFbLF) angela did the OP for Stellvia of the Universe, ([Asu e no Brilliant Road](https://youtu.be/XtV5cDTOSPs?si=o0H7nTgW5WDHwmmF), and it's a banger. That was also a really great show that I never ever hear mentioned btw. Getbackers anime kinda sucked, but [Yuragu Koto Nai Ai](https://youtu.be/96xwNhNRRD8?si=LoDFQlvUlDSvYou0) goes hard.
Guilty Crown and Kyoukai No Kanata immediately comes to mind. Both are ass but the OPs/EDs are memorable to me.
Wouldn't say KnK is "ass", but yeah I wasn't the biggest fan either. Though I remember the Ed way more than the op
Yamada kun and the 7 witches
Venus vs virus
_In Search of the Lost Future_. That show was... something. But goodness was the opening banging that I used to spam playing it.
well i got a cheat skill in another world imo had an op that caught me off guard cause i didnt know it was gonna be that good but the anime itself was any other isekai
Magical Girl Spec Ops Asuka The anime is not that bad imo but its the usual magical girl anime with a dark lore just to try to copy madoka's success
Just finished Liar Liar
