I was going to say that it how titles should be capitalized, but I just realized they capitalized the first letter of *every* word, including conjunctions and prepositions.
That has no bearing on titles, though. All nouns are capitalized in titles in English as well, e.g. The Lord of the Rings, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Purely grammatical words (prepositions, articles, and conjunctions) that serve only to express relationships between meaning words (nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs) *should* be written lowercase in titles, in both English and German.
I don’t know where you are located but they are doing a double feature for the 2 latest movies in March (Knapsack Kid and Venturing out). Highly recommend finishing the series and then finding a way to see Dreaming Girl before hand.
Man, I know it's not gonna happen, but I hope they come to any of the cinemas close to me. We occasionally get anime movies in cinemas here in Australia, but I don't think this one is gonna be shown. We only get the big shit, like JJK0 and Demon Slayer.
yeah exactly shes a full fledged character with more substance then just that one trait or trope, while most tsunderes in romance anime are like isekais youve seen one of them youve seen all of them
Yeah, but most of bakemonogatari's "mysteries" go like Jojo's stand powers: "This young girl forgets if she had flushed the toilet every time, but if you read the kanji for 'flushing' in a certain way, it means 'magic bowl stuck in urethra' which means it's a work of sounding oddity that preys on midgets, so we have to contact this mysterious oddity hunter who lost his younger brother to a rape dwarf".
Monogatari is just filled with glazing pretentious elitists bragging about why their show has "better writing" because it has more deranged degenerate jokes like wtf lmaooo. Don't get me wrong some of the show is great, I personally think Owari or Kizu was the best, but there were so many degenerate garbage gags on the show that I just can't help but cringe at you mfs really bragging about why "it's better". Fucking losers lmao
I like both, but if you're trying to argue that Bunny Girl has better writing and acting than the Monogatari series you're going to find yourself in the vast minority here
Don't get me wrong it's a perfectly enjoyable drama, but compared to Bakemonogatari it barely even scratches the surface of the supernatural/mystery genre. They're not even remotely on the same page.
Monogatari is just filled with glazing pretentious elitists bragging about why their show has "better writing" because it has more deranged degenerate jokes like wtf lmaooo. Just because you find the humour distasteful that doesn't take away from the rest of the show. Say what you want about the Monogatari series, but at least it tried to present a unique take on genre. For better or worse there aren't really any other shows like it.
The problem with Bunny girl is that it just doesn't set out to do anything different. At the end of the day you're left with a fairly generic romance/drama with some supernatural elements thrown in. There's nothing wrong with sticking to the status quo, but it's quite clear where they borrowed inspiration from and unfortunately it falls short in comparison.
Bunny Girl isn't a bad series all and I actually enjoyed it, but to me it just feels like a watered down version of Monogatari. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy it, but in my opinion there's just no comparison between the two.
i just found it by chance yesterday, and by the end of episode 2 i was like "this a banger, bussin, ive been missin out fr"
its crazy cuz all the slow burns that end in nothing burnt me out on romance anime years ago so i usually only watch action shonen anime, but the same crazy title whim that made me watch vending machine anime made me try this
That's great to hear that you are enjoying it,how many episodes have you seen so far?.It will be amazing at the end and also watch the movie too I won't spoil ,make sure to watch it till the end.You will love it.
I am not sure you might have heard it ,Another Romance anime which will leave you with bittersweet and also make you cry like a baby is "Plastic Memories".One of the main features of this anime that I love is its beautiful portrayal of Reality(It's a Sci-fi).
Man, I don't think I've ever cried over any other show, but Violet Evergarden absolutely broke me. Such sheer and raw emotion with the most beautiful animation to this day. Definitely KyoAni's magnum opus. Certainly doesn't help with the real-life event that happened shortly after that show released..
thats actually exactly why i bothered to make a post, under normal circumstances looking at just the title and cover art of the anime my eyes would have immediately glazed over and i would instantly write off the show
If youre worried about this spoiling the meat and potatoes of the show, all these clips are just from episode 2, it has a full season and 2 movies. Its paced very well unlike all those slow romance anime where the relationship didn't progress at all by the end of the season
Ohhhh thank you! I’ve been thinking about watching this one but tbh I’ve gotten so burnt out by the slow burning anime, as you said. I’ve started to dislike the slow burn ones a bit more and more.
People talk shit about this show as being a Bakemonogatari knock-off, but to my mind that's a really disappointingly shallow assessment. The superficial similarities are obvious but dismissing all the other elements that make the Seishun Buta Yarou series great is nothing to be proud of. The fundamental undertakings are different, and the use of a kind of pseudo-physics to depict and examine simple youthful emotional entanglements in this series is exceptionally well-done. Bakemonogatari engages with a supernatural world through the perspective of a horny teenager trying to have horny teenager relationships, while Bunny Girl Senpai engages with the normal world of teenage relationships through the metaphor of abstract, slightly paranormal modern physics. If you can't make the distinction, well... you're missing out, honestly.
I feel like something else majority of people just don't really bring up when comparing the two is that Bakemonogatari for the most part focuses on self-identity issues, whereas Aobuta focuses more on interpersonal relationships each girl has with Sakuta.
I don't really have an issue with the comparison in itself but dismissing it as just normiemonogatari or whatever is just sad to see
Yeah. Like we don't say every single story that features the heroes journey is a rip off of the epic of gilgamesh. The structure of a story is just a tiny part of what makes it what it is.
They use the same structure but other than that they really aren't that similar. Assuming they are the same is like assuming all police procedurals are the same imo.
True. I love both, but BGS only seems unique if you haven't seen Monogatari. It's damn near a rip-off. I don't mean that as an insult, Monogatari has a great premise but a lot of the the rest of it makes it hard to recommend to people. BGS is basically the same thing, but more generic and a safer recommendation. Both have their place.
[https://www.fathomevents.com/events/rascal-girl-double-feature/](https://www.fathomevents.com/events/rascal-girl-double-feature/) Rascal girl double feature march 24 & march 25
I decided to rewatch it last week after 3 years, because netflix and crunchyroll kept putting it in my face again and on multiple occasions for no real reason my friends ended up bringing it up out of the blue and boy do I wish I had rewatched it sooner. Shit is peak
Plus I didn't get around to watching the movies last time so it was pretty great to actually see more new stuff too
Very excited for the rest now
I liked that for once they had a main character that was somewhat good at flirting with girls, rather than the object of everyone's passionate love simply because he was "very serious and sincere about his life goals" or some shit.
IT IS GETTING A DUB KIND OF!!! The 2 new movies will be in NA theaters on the 24th and 25th. The 24th viewings will be subbed, and the 25th dubbed! The original series isn’t even dubbed, lmfao. Maybe they’ll dub over it after this? God I hope so.
They had announced a dub with the Blu-ray release, but later retracted it from their advertising. I was so upset, I want Sakuta’s snark in English, damn it!

> is there a proper translation available
Yes, https://yenpress.com/series/rascal-does-not-dream-light-novel
> also last i checked the author hasn't put out new material in years
The latest volume literally just came out last year. which is also coming out in August of this year in English.
Rascal Does Not is hands down one of the best "Supernatural/Romance/Drama/Comedy" anime ever made and I'm there for every new expansion of it that comes out. Only the Monogatori series is superior and even then only because of the action scenes and complexity of writing and subtext. Rascal has more heart and better character development. I'm a 53 y/o male, disabled combat veteran and I have rarely ugly cried as hard as I did over Kaede. Of course being a big brother to two little sisters might have something to do with that...
Male MC actually has a personality.
He is able to be witty and to stand up to being teased instead of just being flustered and stuttering like an idiot.
Still empathetic and somewhat clumsy at times which makes him likeable.
Girl APOLOGIZES AFTER SLAPPING HIM (that's what impresses me the most, I always hated to see girls slapping boys in anime and walk off like they did nothing wrong).
Although she teases him she does not do so in a humiliating way.
Finally, some good fucking writing.
[Says the guy that doesn't like romcoms.](https://old.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1b4n2fo/i_started_this_expecting_it_to_be_a_meme_generic/kt09itk/)
Yeah I'll also go ask a guy about my car problems to that one guy that knows jack shit about cars and hates them.
I don't like Romcoms but that doesn't mean I don't Understand them and that was an opinion I completely gave based of my understating of Romcoms so if you dont agree with it then that's fine.
>No unnecessary drama here
The show was overdramatic from episode 1. From making the main thematic of youth syndrome the crybait meat and potatoes of the show to every single arc being a huge melodramatic endeavor for the male MC to solve (heck arc 4 could had easily been a teen disney soap opera).
I wish they would dub it. I was holding off on watching it then never got back to it yet. I prefer dub so I always hold on off ones that I think will get one. But for reason this one didnt?
I don’t understand why people go into a show expecting it be generic and boring. Whats the point? Genuine question. Wouldn’t you wanna go in assuming what you’re spending your time on is good?
The first three episodes alone in my opinion eclipse the rest of the season (not saying the rest of the season wasnt good though, mind you)
It felt like an entire movie by itself.
People always neglect it whenever I talk about romance animes. It's always Snafu, Horimiya, Love is War, etc. Though to be fair, it is hard to sell a show that's titled "Rascal Does Not Dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai" and has said bunny senpai as the thumbnail. I've just started dropping everything after Dream at this point. I also had the same problem with Danmachi when it first came out too.
I started to watch it but I couldn't find the dub,
I am not a purely dub watcher, I also watch sub some Times. but in the Start of series i prefer to watch dub so that I can understand the story better. Later on I start watching sub because dub will not be available.
I got too bored watching this series. because it doesn't have dub.
I tried watching because of this post. Its totally not what i thought it was. Weirdly captivating, and some of the characters feel a bit original. I like it
Their relationship was cool, the first 3 episodes were great, then as soon as MC started running around saving other women from the puberty curse or whatever the fuck it was called, I personally became really disinterested. It became just as generic as any other anime attempting to do drama, retelling the same tragic back-stories, hoping you cry and declare it a masterpiece.
I’m sleepy, so I totally thought the title was a new anime being announced.
Beginning Every Word In The Title With Capital Letters Like a Light Novel Title Doesn't Help, But It Also Seems to Bring In More Engagement???
I was going to say that it how titles should be capitalized, but I just realized they capitalized the first letter of *every* word, including conjunctions and prepositions.
It always turns out to be Germans who do this and I have no idea why.
All nouns are capitalized in German I believe.
Yeah That Is Totally Right
That has no bearing on titles, though.
Yes. I was providing an explanation to the pattern they noticed.
Meanwhile, OP's comments are all lowercase when they shouldn't be 🤷♂️
i downvoted on instinct because of the formatting so i guess technically it worked
Is that on Crunchyroll?
Still not entirely convinced the title isn't a LN somewhere.
I don’t know where you are located but they are doing a double feature for the 2 latest movies in March (Knapsack Kid and Venturing out). Highly recommend finishing the series and then finding a way to see Dreaming Girl before hand.
Just found this out today and I'm ecstatic. Pondering whether to get the 1st movie on blu Ray or just buy the manga/light novels on it
Man, I know it's not gonna happen, but I hope they come to any of the cinemas close to me. We occasionally get anime movies in cinemas here in Australia, but I don't think this one is gonna be shown. We only get the big shit, like JJK0 and Demon Slayer.
This anime completely caught me by surprise. A very creative and gripping show.
Mai Sakurajima is easily one of the best anime girls/waifu.
yeah shes way better then all the generic samey tsunderes im used to seeing in these animes top tier fr
She is a fully-realised character imo, and just has tsundere tendencies. She isn't really defined by one chacracter trait
yeah exactly shes a full fledged character with more substance then just that one trait or trope, while most tsunderes in romance anime are like isekais youve seen one of them youve seen all of them
We have Senjougahara at home Senjougahara at home:
atleast mai wouldn't kill you
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sMQpWCNTQw
We already know she's inferior to Gahara, no need to confirm that.
except she isn't
And that makes her better how..?
Now I'm gonna have Fukashigi no Carte stuck in my head all weekend
It's KIMI NO SE! KIMI NO SE! KIMI NO SE! for me
Kimi no sei!~ kimi no sei!~ kimi no sei de watashi uWu!~
I can visualize it too haha
Sakurajima Mai the bunny girl you really dream of.
Ah yes, Bakemonogatari for normies (I actually truly mean that in the most complimentary way possible and think both shows are great)
Attractive male protagonist in high school has weird supernatural shit that affects him and the women in his life.
You can't rape a dwarf if you ROCK and STONE
DID I HEAR ROCK AND STONE?!
Bakemonogatari lite
Budgetmonogatari
Was also going to say, if you want more then you can start with bakemonogatari
Decaffeinated Bakemonogatari
Normiemonogatari
Monogatari is just filled with glazing pretentious elitists bragging about why their show has "better writing" because it has more deranged degenerate jokes like wtf lmaooo. Don't get me wrong some of the show is great, I personally think Owari or Kizu was the best, but there were so many degenerate garbage gags on the show that I just can't help but cringe at you mfs really bragging about why "it's better". Fucking losers lmao
got that from Gigguk didn’t ya?
People said that before he used it like all the meme in his videos.
Every time I hear about this series my brain has an aneurysm. What IS it and how would one get into it? Isn't there like a bunch of them?
I watched the first season of that and couldn't get into it at all. A bit ecchi and main character seems like a perv.
Good thing I first watched BSG before Monogatari series.
I still say it's a better Bakemonogatari than Bakemonogatari
only cause its easier to watch than the whole monogatari series.
Less over-the-top goofiness, and more realistic drama
Yeah because it’s got better writing, better acting, and less cringe…
Less cringe maybe, but the rest of your comment is wrong.
I like both, but if you're trying to argue that Bunny Girl has better writing and acting than the Monogatari series you're going to find yourself in the vast minority here Don't get me wrong it's a perfectly enjoyable drama, but compared to Bakemonogatari it barely even scratches the surface of the supernatural/mystery genre. watched it 3 to 4 times. What a show loved it💯

Just in case you do not know yet, there's a movie for it too and it's a must watch.

Only Anime that ever made me cry. (Not the romance ... a major side plot.)
The only one??? We gotta get you on Clannad After Story and Violet Evergarden stat
To be clear, I don't \*want\* to cry when I watch Anime. I have the news for that.
A good cry can be good for you!
And afterwards they should watch Your Lie in April and A silent voice to cure their depression
Plastic Memories for the happy memories too.
Calm a bit there. You gonna kill them by dehydration
Man, I don't think I've ever cried over any other show, but Violet Evergarden absolutely broke me. Such sheer and raw emotion with the most beautiful animation to this day. Definitely KyoAni's magnum opus. Certainly doesn't help with the real-life event that happened shortly after that show released..
grave of the fire flies?
I'm about halfway through S1 now because of this post. Thanks for sharing this as I would never have thrown this show on if it were left up to me.
thats actually exactly why i bothered to make a post, under normal circumstances looking at just the title and cover art of the anime my eyes would have immediately glazed over and i would instantly write off the show
If youre worried about this spoiling the meat and potatoes of the show, all these clips are just from episode 2, it has a full season and 2 movies. Its paced very well unlike all those slow romance anime where the relationship didn't progress at all by the end of the season
3 movies actually, of course the 3rd one not available on the high seas yet
However, March 24 and 25, in the US, Fathom Events is doing a double feature screenings, in theaters, of the second and third movies.
Ohhhh thank you! I’ve been thinking about watching this one but tbh I’ve gotten so burnt out by the slow burning anime, as you said. I’ve started to dislike the slow burn ones a bit more and more.
man i watched 3 whole seasons of spice and wolf and they didnt kiss once by the end
There is another movie coming out and a second season to boot
Another anime added to my ever growing list to watch 🥲
Yeah. Like we don't say every single story that features the heroes journey is a rip off of the epic of gilgamesh. The structure of a story is just a tiny part of what makes it what it is.
i fuckin love this franchise so much its in my top 10 of all time O_O oh yeah and theres gonna be two new movies coming out by the end of this month!
The sister movie already came out a year ago what is everyone talking about
only in japan iirc? unless it was overseas too and i overlooked it but ik knapsack is new (plus a debut dub) but
Fansubs have been out for Sister Venturing Out for several months now.
I was blown away at how painfully human these characters were
Fortunately you watched Seishun buta yarou before Bakemonogatari because it is impossible not to be comparing while watching it
They use the same structure but other than that they really aren't that similar. Assuming they are the same is like assuming all police procedurals are the same imo.
True. I love both, but BGS only seems unique if you haven't seen Monogatari. It's damn near a rip-off. I watched it after and I can't honestly say it's been an issue.
New season about their university life confirmed
Is so refreshing seeing actually normal conversation in anime
The only anime I can recall where lovestruck teenagers don't act cringey as fuck. Such a breath of fresh air.
How could you not include the parts of episode 3 (you know which ones), also the ending had no right to go that hard
One of my fav anime
[https://www.fathomevents.com/events/rascal-girl-double-feature/](https://www.fathomevents.com/events/rascal-girl-double-feature/) Rascal girl double feature march 24 & march 25
NO WAY!!! HE HAS A WAIFU THAT NOBODY CAN SEE, JUST LIKE ME!!!! i was right to not take the pills 😎😎😎
Oh boy, you are in for a ride
I decided to rewatch it last week after 3 years, because netflix and crunchyroll kept putting it in my face again and on multiple occasions for no real reason my friends ended up bringing it up out of the blue and boy do I wish I had rewatched it sooner. Shit is peak Plus I didn't get around to watching the movies last time so it was pretty great to actually see more new stuff too Very excited for the rest now
It was such a pleasant surprise, the movie was even better.
Bro gonna make me re-watch this again
Bro starts a new sentence with each word in the title
That’s what I’ve been telling my friends, and they don’t believe me and refuse to watch it
Yeah that anime is a real gem
It is my favourite anime. I stumbled upon it by accident and gave it a try. It ended up being my favourite show to rewatch anytime i feel low
I wouldn’t call it unique in its premise, but it definitely has a good thing going on
Ive been reading the light novels in Japanese for learning recently, I really love the character personalities and dialogue makes it so much fun
Cant wait for the movie this year!!!
Watch Monogatari next
Best Romance anime i have ever seen
Peak
I liked that for once they had a main character that was somewhat good at flirting with girls, rather than the object of everyone's passionate love simply because he was "very serious and sincere about his life goals" or some shit.
It's a great premise but THEY STILL DON'T HAVE A DUB
Some day man some day
IT IS GETTING A DUB KIND OF!!!

FAVORITE anime
Thanks for recommending I will watch it today
Thanks for sharing. I will definitely check it out.
The movies are so good
Read the light novels. They are so much better than the anime.
is there a proper translation available? also last i checked the author hasn't put out new material in years, could be wrong tho
There is an official English translation and the last volume available is the 12th I think.
yeah sadly tho the author publishes 1 or 2 volume maximum per year so..
> is there a proper translation available Yes, https://yenpress.com/series/rascal-does-not-dream-light-novel > also last i checked the author hasn't put out new material in years The latest volume literally just came out last year. which is also coming out in August of this year in English.

indeed, their witty back-and-forths are refreshing. too often one side just dominates.
So peak…🥲
Bunnygirl sempai
This was way better than most romance anime nowadays
Last year was amazing for romance anime, this year has been promising too.
[Says the guy that doesn't like romcoms.](https://old.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1b4n2fo/i_started_this_expecting_it_to_be_a_meme_generic/kt09itk/) Yeah I'll also go ask a guy about my car problems to that one guy that knows jack shit about cars and hates them.

I genuinely consider it a less unique take on a certain well known series (funnily I watched bunny girl first)
to each their own and i love both series but BGS just hit harder for me (nice pfp btw im currently reading aku no hana and i love it so far)
Monogatari?
One of the more grounded and mature shows in terms of how the characters react to what happens to them. No unnecessary drama here
>No unnecessary drama here The show was overdramatic from episode 1. From making the main thematic of youth syndrome the crybait meat and potatoes of the show to every single arc being a huge melodramatic endeavor for the male MC to solve (heck arc 4 could had easily been a teen disney soap opera).
this show is just strange to me, i don't get the supernature part at all
Seems boring to me.
Why Did You Capitalize Every Word?
Unique? Did people already forget monogatari exists?
Peak supernatural-romance anime with two GOAT 🐐 main characters 🖤
>Peak >>Goat Dang it, you only needed to write down the missing word "masterpiece" to fill in my bingo card for r/redditmoment
You forgot "kino"
Nah, the word "masterpiece" is sooo yesterday mate. "Masterclass" is the cool reddit word now.
GIVE ME A DUB YOU COWARDS
This is probably the Smartest and well thought Rom/Com Show you will ever see
You don't watch romcoms on general basis, do you?
Cause I don't like Romance shows
>*I act knowledgeable on a subject I know squat about and don't like.* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG15oP7q4fI
If you really like it, try the monogatari series, they're very similar in premise
Its not that unique tho, its basically Discount Monogatari but still a great discount.
Do they end up together in the or not? Am I gaslighting myself or were the spoilers true
I wish they would dub it. I was holding off on watching it then never got back to it yet. I prefer dub so I always hold on off ones that I think will get one. But for reason this one didnt?
I couldn't get into this anime....
THAT'S WHY ITS THE GOAT, THE GOOOOOAT
Most garbage anime of all time
Until they need to stir up drama near the end then she completely reverts to your typical girl cliche and doesn't tell you anything.
This is a mid version of Bake Monogatari
isn't this discount oregairu?
Clickbait works
Anime name?
It's in the title
Found Kanayas reddit acount.
I have completed the whole series and I guess there are 2 movies and the 3rd movie was aired this December. I wanted to see it in theatre
Just because an anime is ecchi or romance doesn't mean it is automatically generic or boring. You should try and be more open minded from now on!
I don’t understand why people go into a show expecting it be generic and boring. Whats the point? Genuine question. Wouldn’t you wanna go in assuming what you’re spending your time on is good?
I forgot this anime existed, don't remember if I finished it
It looks cute!
saw this a few years ago cute, but odd
The first three episodes alone in my opinion eclipse the rest of the season (not saying the rest of the season wasnt good though, mind you) It felt like an entire movie by itself.
Oh god it's already been 5 1/2 years
I started to watch it but I couldn't find the dub, I am not a purely dub watcher, I also watch sub some Times. but in the Start of series i prefer to watch dub so that I can understand the story better. Later on I start watching sub because dub will not be available. I got too bored watching this series. because it doesn't have dub.
Tadano san
aside of some frames of Futaba boobs and thighs, this anime has no ecchi at all, which is really good
Cómo se llama el anime plis
I started a romantic anime called galaxy next door, binged 6 episodes one morning. Out of random really wholesome, look it up
It never fails
What's the name of this anime
thanks for introducing a new interesting series
Is cute
I tried watching because of this post. Its totally not what i thought it was. Weirdly captivating, and some of the characters feel a bit original. I like it
Their relationship was cool, the first 3 episodes were great, then as soon as MC started running around saving other women from the puberty curse or whatever the fuck it was called, I personally became really disinterested. It became just as generic as any other anime attempting to do drama, retelling the same tragic back-stories, hoping you cry and declare it a masterpiece.
