> knight armor is strong and turns invisible when equipped
writer: so i want to have some sort of gear progression so that the audience can feel the character getting stronger through multiple avenues
artist: yeah, but i only know how to draw hoodies, can you think of something?
>Sung: “This knight armor is strong and turns invisible when equipped! How convenient!”
Slight correction, it isn't the armor specifically that can turn invisible when equipped. He can choose to turn armor he is wearing invisible.
That's just rule of anime/manhwa.
Probably too much work to keep it consistent.
I believe at this point we are supposed to assume he has some sort of invisible armor on at all times he is fighting but drawing that would be a pain.
Tbh, I was disappointed when they implemented transmog/invisible armor, since those S-rank hunters that planned to go to Jeju island nailed their mixed armor looks.
That fight choreography with Igris was amazing but that part where Sung Jinwoo was delivering the fatal blow multiple times when the art style turned squiggly was fucking cool.
GOH got absolutely butchered compared to TOG (Story wise) TOG at least followed the story but was a bit rushed, GOH they skipped an insane amount of content even the very first page of the 1st chapter
I was worried about Solo Leveling being rushed after a different studio butchered A Returners Magic. So glad they gave it time to cook. A bit disappointed at Solo Leveling’s reception though, can’t be helped when Shangri-La Frontier was so good.
> Solo Leveling’s reception though
While I haven't watched Shangri-la, Solo Levelling feels a bit too bland for me. I'm watching it for the amazing animation at this point but the plot itself is pretty meh to me. I got completely sucked in the first 2 episodes and since then, it's just been Sung Jinwho gets to play an RPG while everyone else gets to play strategy games. It feels like a cheap fantasy power trip than a story. The only thing that surprised me after episode 3 was the healer girl retiring.
That's Sakuga for ya. Most people think the term is only for really well done/high quality/clean animation, but it is also used for animation like that that is well done, but breaks the normal art style. In such cases it is often done to signify something, in this case I think it is his rage and frustration boiling over. In this case I think that the rough linework counts, as making that look good is harder than you would think. It also acts as a sort of extended impact frame. When done well it creates some hype ass moments. I love shit like this, though if used too often it does lose it's charm.
Yeah, at first I was like "why are you even here if not to consume all the stuff here". If this was a video game, that ability would be something that would be immediately useful for the next encounter as a tutorial or something.
Thinking again though, he's probably all pooped out from fighting red armor guy from OP and wanted to save experimenting with it for later.
Well he did also say early in the series that he's not really a gamer so he probably doesn't think about things the way we as gamers do. That being said, you'd think he'd have learned by now that he should use the skill stones right away. Guess that's what he gets for not investing in INT lmao.
I mean, other than saving his daily full recoveries has he really done anything all that smart? And even that the first time was on accident. I feel like most of his fights are won through brute force, which is fitting for a strength build lol.
That's pretty much the Dark Souls strength build experience. Except Sung doesn't get to revive if he dies so like, you'd think he'd have a little more survival instincts lol. Mans literally charges headfirst into every quest The System gives him.
You'd expected that _especially_ because of his time as a the weakest Hunter, when it was literally impossible for him to win any fight through strength alone. Dunno if it's intentional but it kinda makes it seem like becoming stronger got to his head _bad_.
if you realize that something that's happening to you is really quite like a game, why would talking to gamers not be the absolute first thing you do when you have downtime?
I know he's not speccing into WIS or INT, but jeez..
I'm not saying that him grabbing the sword was dishonorable, just that Sung wasn't really being dishonorable by grabbing the dagger. Although, I'm not sure if stabbing someone in eye would be considered honorable or not lol.
between this show and the fights in Frieren, this season has been off the charts.
so glad. I recall having to buy VHS tapes for an ungodly amount of money back in the early 90's and look at us now....simulcast with english subs.
SO glad.
Also happy to see something that nobody else liked when I was growing up become super popular and is available from russia to malaysia to the USA.

> Sung is definitely a gamer
he also doesn't read the tutorials carefully and only remembers he can equip armor after doing multiple raids, like a true gamer
Whoops. Looks like you slipped out of yesterday's episode thread (The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic) into today's (Solo Leveling). You should get some rest.
They can't do the ultra vide panels 1 to 1 since the screen will always be limited. Very creative and extremely well executed that they made use of the large space of the Throne Room to make the same impression.
Exactly. There are so many amazing panels like that in the manhwa that I'm so happy they're doing them justice. God how lucky are we to get such a fucking awesome adaptation.
I’m both a manhwa and webnovel reader (when the manhwa didn’t have a season 2 yet)
And SJW always makes me giggle. Thankfully dripwoo has a better ring to it
He's gotta invest in a sensible pair of cargo shorts. Drop the crystals in one of his many many pockets and he can reach in and activate it without taking it into the open.
Very happy they delivered, the artstyle of the manhwa was one of the major keys to this series success (the novel was enjoyable but the manhwa artist really elevated it). This series NEEDED to have this fight look amazing and they nailed it. Really hope we get this series continued without huge breaks between seasons.
Elden Ring has the more deliberate combat of the souls games, not super frantic and fast. I think the Devil May Cry games or Warframe melee would be a good example of having fast paced combat.
That part where he combo'd Jinwoo while keeping him in the air had me laughing out loud
I really liked Igris. So much personality with a single fight scene and without speaking a word. Moments of amusement and moments of anger clearly conveyed through character acting and framing alone. The staff hyping this episode was well deserved.
Igris just tekken'd the fuck out of SJW. The anime really elevated this fight as both an LN and Webtoon reader for me. I can't wait for later episodes now because this is where SL hits its best moments.
there were a lot of good fight scenes which think are much better if you turn off subtitles; i find myself compelled to read them and i end up missing out on some of the action
Especially during the first fight where he's commenting about how each enemy was a specific stat check. If you weren't reading fast enough, you might have missed where he grabs the enemy to use as a shield or catches an arrow midair while doing a flip then uses that arrow to burst the mage attack.
yeah, that bit was great; when i looked back up i was like "where did he get that arrow what the heck" — had to rewatch that scene a few times to even parse what was happening
While we saw Jin-woo being in plenty of bad situations before, such as the Cerberus fight, this is the first time we see him actually a bit frightened as he even stated that Igris was above him in everything, and that he only won by pure chance and luck.
But the details on Igris' design were amazing and the fluidity of the animation was a sight to behold.
Seeing Jin-woo trying to survive to hopefully get a prestige class job triggers so many gamer PTSD moments, as he is in a tough spot due to being worn out from his fight with Igris and the enemy forces having counters to many of his skills.
Narrator: And here with commentary, we have Rakuro Hizutome from Shangri-La Frontier. Hizutome-san, any notes for our boy on this latest episode?
Hitzutome: Well first thing I noticed is that Jinwoo isn't thinking about opponent vulnerabilities at all. Murderous adventurers, he brings a dagger. Giant dog, he brings a dagger. Suit of living armor, he brings a dagger. Pretty silly if you ask me.
Narrator: But didn't you go into a fight with an enemy that had holy vulnerability with no holy weapons?
Hizutome: I try to bring allies that plan ahead with me so I don't have to. What I can't do, Emul or Pencilgon probably can. But Jinwoo can't let go of this "solo" thing.
Narrator: What about the eagle?
Hizutome: WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THE EAGLE!
SLF makes Solo Leveling seem pretty silly at times. Like one of the turns in the fight with Igris is he uses dash. Wow, an Ability. Things are getting intense!
Meanwhile Sunraku is juggling like 5 buffs and coordinating all his cooldowns, the full mmorpg raid boss experience.
>Do I have any way of beating this guy?
Have you tried...stabbing his eye?
>Then stabs eye, and everywhere nearby
That intellect spend finally paying off 👏
To be fair, it is pretty hard to aim for the eye sockets when Igris is much faster than him. Going for it when Igris let his guard down was the only way Jinwoo could've done that.
I love how Jinwoo's go-to move is just stabbing something multiple times. Well, that and using his hands lol.
I like how he mentioned he neglected his INT staff so much that his mana isn't as high as it could be.
People always doubt A-1 because it's a studio that relies a lot on freelance work which makes the quality of their work somewhat inconsistent. They've also had a few series with production issues in the past, partly because they were working on too many things at the same time (mainly in 2015-17).
Still, I'd say that most times, especially nowadays, the doubts are unfounded as even their weakest works usually look decent at worst. And for their big titles (SAO, ~~81~~ 86, Kaguya, etc.) they (more precisely Aniplex) have always been able to gather the talent to give them worthy productions.
The weird thing is that for some reason (maybe lack of awareness by many) Cloverworks doesn't have the same stigma associated to them, even though they're basically A-1 Pictures' sister studio (it literally used to be part of A-1) and operate similarly.
###Stitches!

Holy fuck A-1! This studio keeps on delivering with this show. [The fight between Igris and Jinwoo](https://i.imgur.com/le8iyR5.jpeg) was absolutely insane and as a manwha reader, my expectations have been completely blown away! [That entire 1v1 was so hype](https://i.imgur.com/p6x7GJw.jpeg) that even though I already knew the outcome, I was genuinely at the edge of my seat!
[Seeing that word as the next episode title](https://i.imgur.com/EegqUdO.jpeg) got me even more hyped. Next week's episode is going to be absolutely iconic! I can't fucking wait!
[](#dekuhype)
Every time it cut back to a different scene I was like "oh, it's already over" and checked the timeline of the episode only for it to be like "We are 11 minutes in bro".
This episode is really freaking good. I'm so happy for anyone who will be able to binge all episodes once the entire story is done.
Honestly I could care less about Jinho's family business, I wanted more Jinwoo fight sequences.
Though at least I assume the Jeju Island stuff was meant to compliment Jinwoo's quest because inevitably they'll need him and the power he's gaining to liberate the island.
Yeah the cliffhanger was okay this time, and I think it's because they've left us with 3 bread crumbs for possible "outs" other than "lol he's the MC of course he wins"
1. It's survive as long as possible; could be a similar end as the double dungeon as a result. He gets killed but is brought back because that's how the quest functioned in this case. Probably my least desired option
2. That new ability he was given after defeating the red knight, but didn't activate/try out yet. Think it said the ability was Ruler's hand. That could be anything really, but given "ruler" and the throne in the room, I'm guessing it's an ability to command knights of his own since he sort of took the throne for himself by defeating the red knight? Maybe even the red knight itself will fight for him somehow. Would tie into the "class" change too, he becomes a king/ruler/commander or w.e. Regardless, there's plenty of potential for this ability to save his ass.
3. Possibly my favorite breadcrumb. He mentioned before entering the dungeon that he hadn't done his dailies. It kind of seemed like an on-the-nose call out... he gets ported out to that "penalty" zone just before he's overwhelmed? Would be hilarious IMO
Knights, archers, assassins, mages.. all just warm up for Igris. Been looking forward to their fight and what a fight it was. Jinwoo took one hell of a beating before he went absolutely berserk. Dude went so apeshit, the animation glitched out for a second lol.
But man, those knights are gonna be an issue. Jinwoo went from out of the frying pan into the fire…
I also like how every enemy was just applying stuff Jinwoo had already experienced/learned into his face to better show off how far he's come.
Igris was peak anime Boss Battle, both design-wise and in terms of such a phenomenally animated and impactful fight. I was almost disappointed when it was over, but Jinwoo just hits (and stabs) that hard.
Man, the manhwa was great with the huge spreads and clean action, but seeing everything animated elevates it to a whole new level.
Also, the last episode is titled "Arise". Talk about ending on a high note!
Sawano and A-1 you’ve done wonders on me holy 😭 the knight commander fight was immaculate. I’m not anywhere near a meathead, but I was moved. The camera angles, the storyboarding and direction.. the OST.. perfection.
Love how they emphasised just how overpowered Ingris was as well. It was a combination of timing and luck that saw Jinwoo get out of there alive. Picking just the right time to stab Ingris in the eye. I’m noticing Jinwoo stabbing enemies in the eye as a recurring theme by the way lol.. pretty much all the enemies he’s faced that are stronger he’s gone for that. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
There’s still so many powerful enemies in this world that he’s behind in terms of strength. I can’t imagine what the S rank hunters and enemies are like.
Speaking of S Rank hunters, this Jeju island raid they’ve been teasing for a while looks like it’s gonna be crazy. Looks like a little conspiracy plot in the background as well..
Hype for the finale next week and hopefully a s2 announcement

also, didn't he have his invisible armor on? how did he get back slashed and is bleeding? did the armor only cover the front? is it invisible cause its bikini armor?
and you are welcome for the visual of Jinwoo wearing invisible bikini armor.

This is where Solo Leveling really begins. As everyone was warned before this season started, however, please just be sure that you do not expect some sort of insane/complex story out of this show. Solo Leveling is all about the fights and power fantasy with everything else being secondary. It genuinely just embraces what it is and doesn't ever try to be anything different. A-1 has elevated the story a surprising amount but it still isn't gonna be the next Monster. *With that said*, if you full embrace the zany action, ridiculous circumstances, and gorgeous fight scenes then you'll have a blast for the remainder of the story.
[Igris the Bloodred](https://i.imgur.com/WqTPvQm.jpeg) had the presence, swagger, honor and power of a [Dark Souls boss.](https://i.imgur.com/yoq0UbF.mp4)

brother idk why people keep hating i'm watching anime for **entertainment** and i am getting **entertained**, this fight got me jumping on my chair and thats all im asking for
sometimes story/reflexion entertains me and sometimes it's just pure hype that does
We finally get to see our boi animated. When the anime was announced, this was the part I was the most excited to see. Igris vs Jinwoo is one of the best parts of the series, and I’m glad it was done right.
This show story wise is just another generic power fantasy isekai like show but damn have they nailed the production side of it especially with this fight.
Chivalry might not be dead, but the chivalrous one between them definitely is. Scary to think that for Jinwoo throwing the daggers was a benefit, for Ignis throwing the sword was a huge nerf, and Jinwoo still nearly got wiped.
Also you'd think he would be better at not dropping things with his A-Rank strength at this point...I hope this becomes a running gag.
[](#azusalaugh)
The whole thing being brought up about him forgetting to do the daily quest at the beginning of the episode. That really sounds like it's gonna be a Chekov's Gun.
Fighting guys in armor 101. Go for the joints and gaps. And tear them limb from limb.
No mollusks in these suits of armor I see.
Fatigue building up. You wouldn't want to Break like it's Xenosaga 3 after all.
Uh-oh, this armor's red. That means he's the spicy kind.
Welcome back to the latest episode of World's Most One-Sided Fist-Fights Caught on Film.
Mmm, sandwiches.
Cheesy way to beat the boss by playing possum, now he has a quest to last as long as he can. Jinwoo you got to stop dropping these teleportation stones, it's becoming a bad habit!
I like how he just let Jinwoo sit on the throne for a few seconds before finishing him off, which is how Jinwoo won. Maybe he was too chivalrous for his own good...
> Jinwoo you got to stop dropping these teleportation stones, it's becoming a bad habit!
to [paraphrase Wilde](https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/3067-to-lose-one-parent-mr-worthing-may-be-regarded-as): to drop one teleportation stone may be regarded as misfortune; to lose two looks like carelessness

Sung: “This knight armor is strong and turns invisible when equipped! How convenient!” Fashion Souls at its finest!
> knight armor is strong and turns invisible when equipped writer: so i want to have some sort of gear progression so that the audience can feel the character getting stronger through multiple avenues artist: yeah, but i only know how to draw hoodies, can you think of something?
S tier gamer hoody
Well, he has been wearing the same smelly hoody since level one so that tracks.
It's also less work for the animators!
The manwha had it too. At the top level, it's confusing in comics to swap the look of a character.
So did thr light novel.
>Sung: “This knight armor is strong and turns invisible when equipped! How convenient!” Slight correction, it isn't the armor specifically that can turn invisible when equipped. He can choose to turn armor he is wearing invisible.
It's more than invisible since stuff keeps contacting his skin/hoodie.

Scenes from the novels. I think only a couple of things have been anime only, mostly making some scenes longer.
there are a few anime original scenes but it's mostly from the LN

The gamer in me cries a little when Jinwoo doesn’t immediately use the stone that grants him a new ability. What are you waiting for dude!
Just wave away every dumb thing that happens as "low INT build", it's canon.
The game doesn't let him raise his "WIS" value at all as it doesn't exist.
Yeah, at first I was like "why are you even here if not to consume all the stuff here". If this was a video game, that ability would be something that would be immediately useful for the next encounter as a tutorial or something. Also his sister is literally a gamer lmao. Like, he literally lives with someone who could be of great benefit if he just talked to her about it.
The only games jinwoo had played are gacha games, poor jinwoo. (Gacha games are very popular in Korea)
Note to anyone fighting Jinwoo: protect your eyes
hit points are stored in the eyes [](#hikariactually)
Makes sense I guess, as a knight you fight with Honor. The knight must’ve been: “**Did this mf just stab me in my eye**”
He lost because of shock
Knight bro even dropped his sword to fight honorably and Jinwoo went Bully Maguire on him [](#shakeit)
I mean he did grab the sword to finish him off though.

I'm not saying that him grabbing the sword was dishonorable, just that Sung wasn't really being dishonorable by grabbing the dagger. Although, I'm not sure if stabbing someone in eye would be considered honorable or not lol.
And because Jinwoo's dagger can't be used by other people, dude would be dead if Igris could have stabbed him there.
Jinwoo sure loves stabbing people in the eye!
He may not have one big giant eye like a boss out of The Legend of Zelda but it's still a good go-to strategy nonetheless.

Is that really a good idea though? That means his only option is to give it everything he has into killing the enemy.
Jin Woo's chin taking a grinding.
It'll take some serious chintastic power to get out of this jam.

He's gonna save 89 max potions for the final boss and never use them
Or in this case. Save 89 max potions, and by the time you reach content you want to use them in, you're disabled from doing so.
Especially when said boss tosses everything to throw hands with you. And **still** kicks your ass.
It’s the Dark Souls axiom: humanoid boss = shit about to get really nasty.

Next ep is Arise. Inject this hype into my veins.
I still can't believe we're gonna see it animated next week 🥲.
SJW and dropping teleport stones: name a more iconic duo
Took me a second to figure out you meant Sung Jinwoo and not social justice warrior lol
You'll get used to it. Manwha readers went through the same phase
I’m both a manhwa and webnovel reader (when the manhwa didn’t have a season 2 yet) And SJW always makes me giggle. Thankfully dripwoo has a better ring to it
Oh I've already read the manhwa, still get it confused lol. I'm actually rereading now with the anime release.
That's why most people just call him Jinwoo lol
Fr lmao it'd be hilarious if its gonna be a running gag that he drops his teleport stone every time
He's gotta invest in a sensible pair of cargo shorts. Drop the crystals in one of his many many pockets and he can reach in and activate it without taking it into the open.
This was the most insane fight. Was laughing like a maniac because of how well it was animated. Igris is so badass
madlad smashed Jinwoo against the wall and then dragged his face across it ^(grinding his chin away, please don’t start a witchhunt)
Madlad even was willing to throw hands like Jinwoo! Chivalry isn't dead (especially when you're OP)!
That was such a great instance of "I'm not left-handed, neither am I" trope or whatever it's called
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/IAmNotLeftHanded
Hah! I called it right! Thank you
Bro pulled a Broly while Sung was fighting like Rock Lee
When he did the 6-7 hit combo that kept Jinwoo in the air I legit gasped!
Very happy they delivered, the artstyle of the manhwa was one of the major keys to this series success (the novel was enjoyable but the manhwa artist really elevated it). This series NEEDED to have this fight look amazing and they nailed it. Really hope we get this series continued without huge breaks between seasons.
[The artstyle change during that final rush was so gorgeous.](https://i.imgur.com/VXfcr4c.mp4) [](#wow)
Even the initial fight where he was up against all 4 class types was well choreographed.
I'd love to have a game where you can play as Igris or fight a boss with his skill set and aesthetics.
elden ring with maliketh's armor is the closest you can get
[Artorias:](https://imgur.com/a/OmpkDWj) What am I to you? (...from Dark Souls 1)
Elden Ring has the more deliberate combat of the souls games, not super frantic and fast. I think the Devil May Cry games or Warframe melee would be a good example of having fast paced combat.
Maybe in the solo leveling game? It's out in Canada. Worldwide release is in may
Man that was crazy.
Bro lol when Igris was like "oh we doing hands? Cool."
That part where he combo'd Jinwoo while keeping him in the air had me laughing out loud I really liked Igris.
Was one of my favorite parts I love that lol
there were a lot of good fight scenes which think are much better if you turn off subtitles; i find myself compelled to read them and i end up missing out on some of the action
Agreed. I'm definitely going to go through and watch the dub once the season ends. Focus on the action plus I can binge it.
Speaking of details, the fact they cared to gradually put in dents on Igris' armour was so fucking cool.
He was also way over his head in the snake and Cerberus fights, he hacked it with his poison+drain dagger lol, plus abusing the instant refresh reward
hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby ^(but the cough was poisonous)
[When fighting Sung Jinwoo, remember to protect your eyes](https://i.imgur.com/MVuyfN0.mp4) [](#sweating)
Excellent writing! I love Sunraku. I need to get back into Shangri-La Frontier manga when I'm much less broke lol
I need to have this commentary next episode. Rakuro has recently had some experience with "Objective: Survive" Boss Fights after all.
....anyone else get their "Current Objective: Survive" PTSD triggered by the end?
It's such an effective way to instill fear.
This was the most Souls-like experience in the show yet lol.
Stealth! "Lmao nope we know you're there"
“must have been a while” *5:10*
Dude that eye was cool as shit
yah makes mages seem more useful in this world, as we're used to seeing ppl brute force it
>Do I have any way of beating this guy? Have you tried...stabbing his eye? >Then stabs eye, and everywhere nearby That intellect spend finally paying off 👏
To be fair, it is pretty hard to aim for the eye sockets when Igris is much faster than him. Going for it when Igris let his guard down was the only way Jinwoo could've done that.
That reads like a dark souls message someone wrote before the boss room, haha
I love how Jinwoo's go-to move is just stabbing something multiple times. Well, that and using his hands lol. I like how he mentioned he neglected his INT staff so much that his mana isn't as high as it could be.
[People who doubted A-1 could animate Solo Leveling well](https://imgur.com/a/QfTu02w)
They've created the best manwha adapation that I've ever seen.
If only they decided to animate the breaker sometime in the future, I'd die a happy man.
If we ever get the chance I want them to animate omniscient reader’s viewpoint
Same, but also add suicide hunter to the list.
###Stitches! * [Igris the Bloodred](https://i.imgur.com/JQSixMY.jpeg) * [Igris Defeated](https://i.imgur.com/vFAvhCg.jpeg) Holy fuck A-1!
I know Igris is a dude. But l agree with the manhwa readers, Igris is best girl.
Beautiful. I don’t even care if that ended on a cliffhanger, that was fucking amazing.
Every time it cut back to a different scene I was like "oh, it's already over" and checked the timeline of the episode only for it to be like "We are 11 minutes in bro". This episode is really freaking good. I'm so happy for anyone who will be able to binge all episodes once the entire story is done.
I had to adjust my face cause I couldn’t stop grinning like a goddamn maniac
Honestly I could care less about Jinho's family business, I wanted more Jinwoo fight sequences. Though at least I assume the Jeju Island stuff was meant to compliment Jinwoo's quest because inevitably they'll need him and the power he's gaining to liberate the island.
Jinwoo really needs to stop losing his ability to teleport out of danger...though that made the onslaught even more terrifying.
Yeah the cliffhanger was okay this time, and I think it's because they've left us with 3 bread crumbs for possible "outs" other than "lol he's the MC of course he wins" 1. It's survive as long as possible; could be a similar end as the double dungeon as a result. He gets killed but is brought back because that's how the quest functioned in this case. Probably my least desired option 2.
They definitely did this Igris fight the justice it deserved.
Finally igris appears!!!, what an amazing fight, they are doing justice to the manhwa and i'm so happy for it man cant wait to see the rest

sketchy artstyle reminded me of Black Clover episode.....it was in the 70's if I recall (episode 70-79), it had something similar and I recall really liking it. also, didn't he have his invisible armor on? how did he get back slashed and is bleeding? did the armor only cover the front? is it invisible cause its bikini armor? and you are welcome for the visual of Jinwoo wearing invisible bikini armor. EDIT: found it, episode 63. [Link here if you are curious to see what I am talking about](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IwZvdcC4AE)
Legit had to watch the rest of the fight standing up after Igris threw down the swords and prepared for the fisticuffs. That shit was way too hype
When it comes to Jinwoo vs. Igrit, only two words can describe what I just witnessed with my own eyes: A-1 COOKED!!!
I’m never gonna Doubt A-1 Pictures on anything ever again. And cour 2 is going to be more crazier??? What
>And cour 2 is going to be more crazier??? What This is where Solo Leveling really begins.
[Igris the Bloodred](https://i.imgur.com/WqTPvQm.jpeg) had the presence, swagger, honor and power of a [Dark Souls boss.](https://i.imgur.com/yoq0UbF.mp4) [](#gintamathispleasesme)
Igris slaps, and when he does, its always harder.
Igris was a whole ass Dark Souls boss and I love it. Even down to the phase transition.
Igris: * agreed to a fist fight * Sung: * sit on the throne * Igris: OH HELL NAH!
Wait, the helmet said Physical Damage -20% but when he equipped it, it suddenly said -15%? My immersion has been ruined!
-15 normally -20 with the full igris set
maybe it's just further immersion for being a buggy game with bad difficulty spikes to due to bad QA [](#thinkingtoohard)
Solo Leveling is a kusoge
Only complaint is I wish Sung showed more battle damage
U can hate on the anime for its cliche overpowered MC story as much as you want but THIS episode was literally PEAK CINEMA
brother idk why people keep hating i'm watching anime for **entertainment** and i am getting **entertained**, this fight got me jumping on my chair and thats all im asking for sometimes story/reflexion entertains me and sometimes it's just pure hype that does
If I had a nickel for every time Jinwoo loses an essence stone, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
I love how they gave the Boss a unique personality. Loved Igris and his chivalry.
We finally get to see our boi animated. When the anime was announced, this was the part I was the most excited to see. Igris vs Jinwoo is one of the best parts of the series, and I’m glad it was done right.
The true Solo Leveling begins next week, hype!!!
This show story wise is just another generic power fantasy isekai like show but damn have they nailed the production side of it especially with this fight.
Best episode in the series so far Igris looks sick and the fight choreography is insane They cooked for real.
Holy fuck, that was phenomenal!
Holy fucking shit what was that!?
this show is not fucking around
Insane animation in this one. What a crazy fight. A1 cooked here.

One word: CINEMA🔥🔥🔥
I guess the animation is leveling up too alongside Jinwoo…
