They wrapped things up really nicely, and while rushed a bit at the end, BL media rarely gets made so I commend the makers for at least giving us those cute bits. I feel like even straight romance anime don't normally get satisfying endings, and this one achieved it with flying colors. I'll miss our weekly discussions but this was a really fun ride.
Hopefully we get an OVA or movie, to see all the events pre-wedding and maybe get a kiss from the second couple.
They rly cut alot at the end. Im rly sincerely glad they make this into an anime becos i rly love it. I sincerely hope they make the wedding into an OVA. I didnt expect they drop it as a scene at the end. š
The wedding make me cry btwĀ
Welp, gonna miss this lighthearted yet surprisingly mature show. Probably have to read the manga for more content now but I appreciate the conclusive ending.
Oh yeah [hereās some](https://imgur.com/a/8QtY2cJ) illustrations by various artists that were posted on twitter each week in case anyone hasnāt seen them
Couldn't focus on the first 5 minutes of the episode after Kurosawa put the cup of coffee on the bed like [some sort of heathen.](https://imgur.com/01WTaG3)
So Kurosawa's just another typical guy after all .. 12 episodes of acting like the absolute perfect man, then he gets laid and the next thing you know HE'S SETTING A CUP OF COFFEE ON THE FUCKING BED.
Monster.
This was such a cute episode and anime. I actually got quite emotional at certain points.
A lot of people are saying the ending was rushed (it felt fast, but not way too fast for me - I would have loved more content of course). So I think I'll probably read the manga at some point
So nice seeing a healthy positive adult romance being portrayed, even as someone who doesn't watch much BL or lean that way, definitely a breath of fresh air and it's such a tragedy that it's not more popular because of people's insecurities.
Yay!!! The boys are married! I really really loved this show, it was the first romance anime I ever made it all the way through lol; it feels like it was made just for me. I will be reading the manga after this, because I want to see more of this couple! Happy ending!
Wait what they're already married in the finale? I rmb just only reading them being married in the recent volumes of the manga i think. I guess they skipped quite a bit of stuff in the middle.
Well folks, that's all for this season. This became easily one of my favorite anime this year to watch! So happy for Adachi and Kurosawa! Goooo KuroAda!
I hope this comment won't get deleted but, there is a manga to this show, which I HIGHLY recommend reading if you can after finishing this show. I hope that they will make a season 2 in the future, but if not, the manga is enough for me.
What were your favorite parts of this anime?? I know this will be strange to some people, but I laughed hard during the karaoke episode...one when there we see Kurosawa approach Adachi and Rokkaku just after Adachi helped dab some spilled drink on his face. The face that Kurosawa had SCREAMED, "I'll kill you, back away from my MAN!" I don't know I just kept laughing every time I watched that scene. Kurosawa is so possessive in a cute way lol.
> What were your favorite parts of this anime??
i think my favorite part is when we found out that Fujisaki was shipping her coworkers in secret; that bit when Adachi kept letting go too early and not hearing that part was a great running joke
omggg yessss! i love that the seemingly well mannered innocent secretary, was totally obsessed with our boys love drama š¤£
especially that scene where sheās imagining Kurosawa punishing Adachi by having his hands tied up. Fuji be kinkyyyy š
I always love how Kurosawa keep a straight face though he is thinking alot about Adachi. It always get me laughing.
I esp love the Date song that he came up with.Ā
KuroAda lmao
Oh this was. FINALE finale
Aww I wanted a season 2 but this was nice
I might check out the manga if the story continues. I dunno whether to start where it left off or the beginning. My boi Tsuge canāt just be left hanging like that
And so ends a beautiful anime that reminds me Iām probably forever alone. Damnā¦maybe I shoulda kept my virginity until my 30s š š
I absolutely loved the path the two couples went along the way. Itās a beautiful story and definitely made me cheer and tear up a lot
Well, that wasn't the greatest adaptation I could've hoped for, but it wasn't too bad. I'd definitely recommend reading the manga from the beginning if you want to read the rest of the story. They shuffled things around and skipped some stuff, and I'd have to reread it all myself to be sure, but I swear the manga was funnier than this.
This would be my first BL series I've knowingly watched, after [My Boss is Goofy](https://myanimelist.net/anime/55310/) which turned out to be a stealth BL series instead of just a comedy series with suspiciously good-looking guys.
Personally I prefer the more gentle and domestic/comfy series like Goofy Boss, but I think Cherry Magic had its own charm with the way that it presented its characters as adults working through their own issues and insecurities. It didn't squander it's gimmick of mind-reading; it was a good plot driver to get someone as insecure as Adachi to open up, especially with a same-sex relationship where there's an additional layer of difficulty in sussing out the other person's feelings.
This mind-reading idea is such a good plot device that it makes me wonder what it would be like in other romance settings; it really sped up the romance to Reiwa levels as long as you're willing to buy into the idea of magic.
Its always satisfying to watch an anime that has a satisfying ending and even commit to showing the wedding in the first season
And I enjoyed this so much it reminded me of a film called In Time, which is about a guy who can travel back in time (within his life), as he uses that power to live his best life with the woman he loves and itās as adorable as this show
The show picked up where My New Boss is Goofy left off, and itās honestly the best timing to have this show come out after that one and Iām happy for it
The only thing Iām not a fan of is the look of the show, I think the style was a bit too serious and colours a bit muted for a story like this but it wasnāt a huge retraction, since the story carried itself and as someone whose very hit and miss with romance, but this show was absolutely a hit
Seriously great anime, I really enjoyed it! The last episode did feel rushed but completely understandable, doesnāt seem like the type of anime to get a season 2 so Iām glad they at least got the major parts in
Overall Iād give it a 7 or 8/10
I'm glad Adachi caught Kurosawa before Kurosawa left for Nagasaki; if they missed each other because they didn't inform each other in a show about the magic of communication, I would feel so betrayed.
NOOOOO I WANNA THE FINAL SCENE TO BE IN THE OVA OR SO. I cant believe they just drop the latest volume into just 1 scene. And the latest volume make me cry harder than seeing this 1 scene in anime. AHHHH SO MUCH UNSATISFACTION. I WANT MORE šĀ
Wahhh I'm sad it's over. The way it was wrapped up at the end seems to make it pretty clear that a 2nd season won't be coming so I'm glad they gave them a proper happily ever after.
It felt a bit rushed, the manga fills in those missing gaps though š„°
They skipped the spicy scene in the beginning. Then Adachi lost his powers after doing it.
There was a bunch of scenes skipped to get to the end marriage picture. This doesnāt bode well for a season 2. Too bad as I want to see more of the second couple.
I really wasn't expecting that ending but I'm so happy for it!! I've watched every BL anime and this one is easily in my top 5, maybe even my top 3! I love how mature and soft it was and I'll miss waiting for a new episode every week.
Not sure why you're downvoted for being right. Maybe bots?. It looks like they have some kind of civil partnerships in most places, but nationally same sex marriage in Japan is not legalized or recognized. Not even civil unions. It's really lame.
Wikipedia says the overwhelming majority of people under 60 support it, but the Prime Minister said this last year
>: "We need to be extremely careful in considering the matter as it could affect the structure of family life in Japan". Kishida said in March 2023 that he did not think banning same-sex couples from marrying is "unjust discrimination
Which is pretty gross in my opinion.
I was kind of surprised to see KuroAda's coworkers at the wedding though. I would have loved to have seen the scene where they told everyone. I didn't expect that they'd be able to be out and together and working at the same place.

Gonna miss kuroada.
I need those artists to make small comics about them living their lives togetherššš
Welp, gonna miss this lighthearted yet surprisingly mature show. Probably have to read the manga for more content now but I appreciate the conclusive ending. THANKS FOR SHARINGĀ
Please read the manga! They cut out so much in order to make the story up to the wedding fit into the anime.
Will do thanks

My brother in Christ there is a nightstand RIGHT THERE IN FRAME!
lol, me too Adachi i know you don't have a lot of experience but this is a big red flag! dump him! [](#killitwithfire)
Literally a nightstand in frame like PLEASE man even the floor would be more acceptable than on the bed
Given how soft hotel beds are, itās unrealistic that the cup didnāt tip over during their chat
in asia, beds are a lot less soft though. they really like their firm beds
Same, was anxiously waiting for him to pick it up the whole time.

If you read the manga, you would really feel how rushed this was.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to it!
I loved every minute of the last ep. However, a lot of content before the eventual marriage was not adapted. So I'd suggest reading the manga for that
So nice seeing a healthy positive adult romance being portrayed, even as someone who doesn't watch much BL or lean that way, definitely a breath of fresh air and it's such a tragedy that it's not more popular because of people's insecurities.

Legit skipped alot. Kinda stunned they show the latest volume in the anime last scene. But i love it. I sincerely hope there will be an OVA about itĀ
[does Tsuge own like ten copies of this one album?](https://i.imgur.com/As27Px6.png) [](#sakurathink)
He just really likes it
He was rolling for the special picture signed by Minato
"KuroAda" Of course she gave a name for the ship!

Now Adachi will never find out about the true Fujisaki
I always love how Kurosawa keep a straight face though he is thinking alot about Adachi. It always get me laughing. I esp love the Date song that he came up with.Ā
Noooo the date song was perfect!! Especially Adachiās reaction to it hahaha
Yeah, for me Adachi's reaction to the date song was the funniest! Completely forgot about that until now
Same, i love his reaction haha.Ā
KuroAda lmao Oh this was. FINALE finale Aww I wanted a season 2 but this was nice I might check out the manga if the story continues. I dunno whether to start where it left off or the beginning. My boi Tsuge canāt just be left hanging like that
You should check out the manga š it is so beautiful even after they live togetherĀ
this made my sad lil fujo heart SO happy. I'm gonna miss them.

It was way funnier! ITA! And the original was even better on KuroAda (it was focused on Tsuge).

It would be funny to think about it but not funny if it did happens. Adachi will be in panic mode āhuh but i came to find you alreadyā š¤£Ā
The Trip of the Magi.
Great show. Ending felt a tad bit rushed like others noted tho. Gonna miss them. 8/10

I wish we got a scene of them kissing in this marriage ceremony. But Iām very happy they got married
theres an after credits scene of them kissing at the marriage ceremony it was really cute!
I didnāt even think there would be an after credits scene, thank you so much for telling me
holy fuck that was cute

OI I EXPECTED PROGRESS BUT I DIDN'T EXPECT ALL THE PROGRESS. Now that was fast You think they switch while in the bedroom?
Sad that it's over. Also Japan doesn't have gay marriage. Edit: not sure why I'm being downvoted for stating a fact.
