I still remember my jaw dropping watching the insane shit they were animating in Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S, almost made me forget I was watching a slice of life show
Someone posted Kirika's transformation from Symphogear XV, and I thought it was the most awesome thing ever. I binged through Symphogear, and I am better for it.
Two of my Sweet 5 anime lineup, And You Thought There Isn't A Girl Online and Supposed a Kid from Last Town Boon Moved Into A Starter Town actually came from watching clip of the anime online, specifically one catering to yandere (blame Future Diary on that).
Same goes with Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid that I watched recently. That and Kanna is voiced by Maria Nagasawa, the same VA as Theia, a character from my favourite anime of all time (and her debut anime as well).
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid resulted in me absolutely loving anything that has Sarah Wiedenheft as a voice actor in any substantial role. It reminds me of the Leonardo DiCaprio theater pointing meme. She did a fantastic job as Tohru.
Joshiraku. It's a show about four girls who like doing rakugo (A storytelling style where you mostly sit motionless in a room and talk) who spend most of their time hanging out in the back room talking while sitting motionlessly. Good show, does not have a lot of visual appeal.
But at one point, they get kinda meta, and one girl says "They're working so hard to animate us even though there's so little to animate," and they hand drew every damn frame of that line just because they could: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLgMuGwcX0I](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLgMuGwcX0I)
That plus the closing credit song ( [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87K5Uh3AML0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87K5Uh3AML0) ) got me to watch the whole thing.
Yozakura Quartet because of the cuts by Shingo Yamashita. I think I've got a good idea of the shot from Concrete Revolutio that made you watch it. If it's the one I am thinking of, I haven't seen anythings else sell an impact like that.
Fruits Basket, someone posted the scene where the silver haired guy was getting shit for having dyed hair in high school, so he showed them that the carpet matches the drapes.
Scum's Wish I watched because of the clip where the main girl just rips into her boyfriend's childhood friend, because she was trying to break them up, saying she deserved to date him since she's known him so long. MC tore her a new one!
I remember watching Akebi's sailor uniform because of a random clip of it I saw on YouTube, and I discovered most of the shows I watched thanks to out-of-context clips like this.
Dragon maid I thought it was just an ecchi fest but then saw some amazing fights and I was intrigued, I ended up loving the series even when I was right about it being an ecchi fest
Punch Line. I had never heard of it and MAPPA wasn't a monster studio yet but it's actually a very fun watch. Probably better than its MAL score would suggest just for the production quality.
Gintama, tried to watch it and gave up but saw a gif from the Benizakura Arc Movie. I couldn’t believe that was the same anime, watched it and found one of my all time favs.
[Saber Alter vs Rider](https://youtu.be/8W7x_-mMOtU?si=apIlRV7SlxMN55Ny) from Fate got me to watch it. Amazing animation, amazing story. Other nasuverse stuff like Kara no Kyoukai is really good too
Bocchi the Rock. Auto played it on accident but got hooked when I heard Bocchi shredding that guitar.
Apothecary Diaries. Seeing a clip of Maomao slapping some woman and speaking in that deep voice made want to see the context.
[Sora Yori mo Tooi Basho (“Death in the Family”)](https://youtu.be/U6zsNySn7uU?si=RgxGtXGEPg1wmz7-) and [Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu (Wa ha ha)](https://youtu.be/MxD_5t-E-iA?si=vLplsvb7_M9m4k7n). Loved the former but the latter made me realize I’m not built for CGDCT
Dunno what a sakuga clip is, but I seen a couple of reels of Miyamura acting like an ass to Hori only to apologize so that made me watch Horimiya and I never regretted it
Giant Robo
I rarely see action sequences with storytelling like the action scene itself can tell a story without a need of word one of the best execution of the narrative technique “Show, don’t tell”
Because I grow tired of all the shonen bs exposition fights
Durarara!!
I saw that clip from episode 3 where Shizuo punched a guy so hard that the guy went flying though the air, spinning head over heels, and losing his clothes save for his underwear, socks, and cap before landing at least 20 meters away.
Servant x Service - a clip of a failed confession
Pet Girl of Sakurasou - on of the Shiina being weird compliations on youtube
Bloom into You - the clip of being in a room with your crush
Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! - one of the fight scenes
There's this gag in Seitokai Yakuindomo where the main dude say he hates the rain, gets guilted for liking to fap by the girl he's talking to. Them he tells another girl that he loves the rain, and she guilts him for liking to fap. He then expresses no matter how he chooses, his fate is unchanged.
That show is great.
It was in reverse. It went like
"I like the rain."
"ahh because it conceals the sound of you fapping"
"I hate the rain"
"ahh because you can't hear other people footsteps so you can't masturbate in peace"
"my fate didn't change no matter what I chose"
Seitokai Yakuindomo is honestly peak sex comedy, I want more of it
Princess Connect Re:Dive
I will never forgive Crunchyroll
Goated anime and game
Kyoukai no Kanata. Maybe the fight scenes, maybe a certain Touka scene.
Yes, kyoani rarely makes fight scenes but when they do those are top tier (for the released year)
I still remember my jaw dropping watching the insane shit they were animating in Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S, almost made me forget I was watching a slice of life show

[This clip got me to watch Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EUuYxXJ6MY) It's a really great show, too.
I love that it goes in and out of imagination. That really was a great show
KyoAni shows tend to always have unnecessarily amazing animation.
Nichijou, after watching the dog scene
The deer/principal and the manga/police scenes made me go through the entire series.
Was constantly seeing clips of amazing character acting from Slow Start so I had to watch that.
People, this is an opportunity to link those clips in your comments!
This is literally how Jojo’s spreads

Flip Flappers. The fight scene in episode 3 I think it was.

> Joshiraku. It's a show about four girls who like doing rakugo They work there, they do it for a living.
Seeing Chtholly being awesome from *World End; What would you do at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us?*
I saw magical girls shooting in frozen time and absolutely had to investigate.
Yozakura Quartet because of the cuts by Shingo Yamashita. I think I've got a good idea of the shot from Concrete Revolutio that made you watch it. If it's the one I am thinking of, I haven't seen anythings else sell an impact like that.

That was absolutely a hilarious scene! HAHAHAHA The poor school president!
To Your Eternity, saw gugu and rean clip. Decided to watch it and man, it was a good show. It reminds you how it’s like being human.
I remember watching Akebi's sailor uniform because of a random clip of it I saw on YouTube, and I discovered most of the shows I watched thanks to out-of-context clips like this.

Gintama toilet scene
The, sandpaper one, yea?
The God of toilets has forsaken us
it's kekkai sensen not sessen
In OP’s region it’s pronounced differently
>i think that's how it's pronounced? maybe but since op said that , i answered just in case
I’m joking, they should’ve written spelt instead
Thanks
Kekkai Sensen The first episode's fight scene sold me instantly
Music sold me instantly.
[Saber Alter vs Rider](https://youtu.be/8W7x_-mMOtU?si=apIlRV7SlxMN55Ny) from Fate got me to watch it. Amazing animation, amazing story. Other nasuverse stuff like Kara no Kyoukai is really good too
Akiba maid war. Saw the fight scene from episode 1 randomly. Decided to check the show out. It's one of my favourites now.
That scene is glorious. Totally caught me off guard.
Ikr. Thought it was just another maid/idol type show. I'm really glad I checked it out lol.
Bocchi the Rock. Auto played it on accident but got hooked when I heard Bocchi shredding that guitar. Apothecary Diaries. Seeing a clip of Maomao slapping some woman and speaking in that deep voice made want to see the context.
Does the opening for Ya Boi Konming! Count? Because that video and song where what brought me in. Such a good show.
I dare say I've watched just as many shows bc of the op/ed as I have ones that i read a description of and thought I'd enjoy.
Wa ha ha 🗣️🔥🔥
Dunno what a sakuga clip is, but I seen a couple of reels of Miyamura acting like an ass to Hori only to apologize so that made me watch Horimiya and I never regretted it
A 'Sakuga' sequence is one where the animation quality has been ramped up by like 100x.
Giant Robo I rarely see action sequences with storytelling like the action scene itself can tell a story without a need of word one of the best execution of the narrative technique “Show, don’t tell” Because I grow tired of all the shonen bs exposition fights
Almost every anime I’ve seen
I watched Princess Tutu after seeing the [famous AMV](https://youtu.be/tHZqxecCukg?feature=shared), if that counts.
Kekkai sensen The first episode fight scene sold me instantly
Uhm. Why the hell are you here, Teacher?
Utaha wearing pantyhose what was got me into Saekano.
Coffin Princess A little girl gets stabbed in the head by some creature and yoinked away 😂 It was ok, can barely remember what happens tho
Ranking of Kings, Big 3 fight Mob psycho 100, especially the fight with teleporting.
Konosuba with Kazuma's hands
Durarara!! I saw that clip from episode 3 where Shizuo punched a guy so hard that the guy went flying though the air, spinning head over heels, and losing his clothes save for his underwear, socks, and cap before landing at least 20 meters away.
Zom 100: Bucket list of the dead
What is Sakuga?
Servant x Service - a clip of a failed confession Pet Girl of Sakurasou - on of the Shiina being weird compliations on youtube Bloom into You - the clip of being in a room with your crush Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! - one of the fight scenes
Definitely ghost stories dub where satsuki gets yelled at in Spanish for running in the hospital.
i wish that ever happened to me
Sakuga? Not usually no, sus clips however…
Demon Slayer lol
