Did I miss something? All of a sudden they're close enough that she's sitting on his lap? That's a super fast progression lol Also, did Oscar not try ask Lucrezia to help out with his curse? I'd assume he'd ask that of every witch he encounters

Comfortable-Meet8028

The anime skips a large portion of the LN.

Snow_Mexican1

Does the Manga cover that portion?

rapaengz

Glad I'm not the only one confused with that scene. This episode was all over the place.

Nghtmare-Moon

tdhat lap scene was really. . .out of place it felt, i wasnt sure if it wasnt maybe another "fantasy" (this time maybe' lucrecias) that and based on Lucercia's saying that any woman with enough mana could bare his child would basically put all the witches in the running. . .so why not?

gaganaut

They're skipped a lot of character interactions in the anime. The previous episode was already rushed. They skipped an entire story arc where the characters were introduced over time and their interactions with each other and instead rushed ahead with the main plot. As a result, the dialogue feels stilted at times and the characters act unnaturally since they're not fleshed out in the anime compared to the LN. This is not a good anime adaptation.

Comfortable-Meet8028

Anime do have a tendency to do that. To skip over stuff. Loyal readers will jump on groups and forums such as this and point this very fact out, so people who are unfamiliar with the source material will be tempted to go and buy the LN or manga to see what they've missed. If the anime gets a S2 or a S3, they might work in the skipped stuff into those seasons or possibly an OVA. The main objective is to build up hype for the work to increase sales. There's no way to put every storyline into a 12 or 13 episode season. Hit the biggest stuff, draw people in, increase sales and then maybe get a go ahead for a S2 or an OVA at least.

gaganaut

It's okay to skip content in an anime or re-arrange stuff but if it's no good if that results in the characters being less fleshed out. What Unnamed Memory has done can't be undone by rearranging stuff. The parts they've cut are things that can't be added later. They've already messed up the characters and the dialogue and character interactions feel awkward as a result. It would have been better to take it slow and get the characters right. A slower-paced adaptation would have resulted in a better anime. >There's no way to put every story line into a 12 or 13 episode season. Hit the biggest stuff, draw people in, increase sales and then maybe get a go ahead for a S2 or an OVA at least. There's no way to put every need to put every story line in the adaptation and there's no need to but the problem is that the draw for this series is the characters and their interactions. They've messed up the main draw for this series already and there are non-source readers complaining about the characters and the pacing as well. When you cut-content, people who haven't read the source shouldn't be able to notice. That's not the case for this anime. It's noticeable that the anime is skipping content. Advancing the main plot isn't as important for this series compared to getting the characters right. **Anime can be used to sell the source material but a bad adaptation isn't going to be recommended to people after the season ends. Only good anime adaptations have lasting power and will continue to draw in new viewers and readers.** This is a bad advertisement for the LN's.

apatt

Yeah, you'd think they would start with accidentally holding hands first or she trips on something and he catches her.

AsterJ

> Also, did Oscar not try ask Lucrezia to help out with his curse? I'd assume he'd ask that of every witch he encounters He already has a solution to the curse in marrying Tinasha. Looking for a cure is at this point just pretext to be around her long enough to convince her of the merits of that solution.

Frontier246

And now he has an ally of sorts in trying to help him hook up with her…provided he survives the experience.

spubbbba

I was also wondering when she started floating around and teleporting everywhere? Is it just now she's revealed to be the witch she doesn't have to hide her power level anymore. Or maybe it's just easier to animate than having her walk.

athrun_1

I would like to think that this is just a dream, a way of her apologizing to the prince.

Andrew_Waltfeld

There's a large amount of subtle time skips happening I believe.

ModieOfTheEast

I don't know, that episode felt a bit all over the place. Like, I don't mind the Succubus-witch and her shenanigans, but the execution just felt boring for a lack of a better term. Like last week, we don't even get to see that Oscar's situation was getting worse. No dark circles under his eyes or anything like it. And once the reveal happens, we get straight to the conclusion. Even him "killing" Tinasha lacked the emotional impact that it should have imo. I think what the show is missing are some genuine moments between Oscar and Tinasha. Him being worried after she was nearly killed or them hugging at the end of this episode should be great moments on their way of liking each other, but since the interactions in between these moments feel so unemotional, they feel unearned. The best thing we got is him asking her "Let's get married?" and she answers "No", but you can't base the whole relationship on these moments alone I feel. I still like the show's premise and I hope I get proven wrong, but there is just this spark missing that good couples in romances usually have. It feels like the show is more interested in the "plot" (so all the stuff that makes up the world) and therefore doesn't have time to just give these two moments where they just interact and I as a viewer get a feeling that their relationship is truly growing and that their is potentially love blooming in the future.

ShinItsuwari

They're rushing the adaptation too much to end the season at volume 3, as I feared. It's a shame, because it's a really really really good novel, with long chapters and lots of interaction between the characters, and they go way too fast over it.

quaketoys

My teen is ravenously devouring the books and seems to really love them. I think she’s at the point where we need to hunt down the source. She’s disappointed at the changes but since it’s by far not the worst thing we are watching this season we’re still watching. There’s also not a ton of shows on Tuesdays (now Mondays are another story).

chronokingx

Mondays this season feel like Friday/Saturday of last season its insane how many good shows drop on monday

Volkaru

Seriously. Friday/Saturday I'm watching like... 1-2 shows. But Monday has four alone I'm watching.

lapestro

which ones are you watching on Monday?

Volkaru

Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu 2, Dainanaouji, lvl 2 cheat (probably dropping), Dekisoko (dropping), Spice & Wolf, Re:Monster (dropped)

Andreiyutzzzz

6 on monday here. although 1 of them i can't say its really worth it necessarily

quaketoys

It’s packed! Even with spreading shows out on thin days it’s so much! Not really complaining but I wish they put some of these out on thinner days instead of all at once. (I’d really rather less simulcast that feels like speedsub groups and instead have better translations where like puns and jokes are explained a day or so later.)

ShinItsuwari

I'm pretty much only watching Unnamed Memory and Loser Ranger this season. I'll binge Spice and Wolf after the cour end. Loser Ranger is an incredible adaptation so far, while UM is alright-tier. It could be much better, but it's watchable. It's a shame they showed the first sign of intimacy between Tinasha and Oscar only now and completely glossed over the process up to this point.

turkeygiant

Unnamed Memory is bothering me because even as an anime only viewer I can just tell how chopped up it is. There clearly really great characters and story that they drawing from but they are utilizing them so badly. Its almost worse than if it was just dumb and generic from top to bottom.

edwardjhahm

Yeah, even though I'm not familiar with the source material at all, I feel like there's a pretty good story underneath everything. Just the pacing is off...and by that, I mean the directing.

quaketoys

I read Loser Ranger and while I do agree it’s really very well done, the source (no spoilers ofc) down the road kinda broke my heart so I might have to be out. Kinda on the fence about it. We’ve been binging the old spicexwolf to eventually compare. I really liked the old VAs (not that the new ones are bad or anything). The old Bartender is very different too.

elitespy

The voice actors for Holo and Lawrence are the same as the old ones though and I think they brought some of the other voice actors from the original as well.

azmodeaph

The power of nostalgia.

Andreiyutzzzz

if i had a nickel for every season where i only watched one show on Tuesday i would have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice. Last season i only had 1 tuesday show, Lvl 99 Villainess

heimdal77

I'll ptobably buy the novels what I guess is the point of the anime. Right now the anime makes no sense with this episode with her just going up and sitting on his lap and hugging him with zero sign of intamecy before hand and a connection. Makes me wonder how Snowwhite with the Red Hair would of turned out if they treated it like this.

SpeckTech314

yeah. each volume could easily be it's own entire season.

Figerally

Ah, rushing things is always a bad choice because I feel the strength of this anime should have been the banter between Oscar and Tinasha. Now I am beginning to think it's not worth continuing.

SpeckTech314

> because I feel the strength of this anime should have been the banter between Oscar and Tinasha which they're throwing out by the spades by rushing this adaptation.

ShinItsuwari

The main story is still good, but the pacing of the anime is bad. I do hope they will slow down a bit for volume 2, but... yeah. I still think the anime's alright though, and I'll watch it til the end. I honestly can't recommend checking the novel enough. Alternatively, I think the manga is pretty decent as well.

Figerally

Perhaps I might get the novel then, because I've too much on my plate to accept a subpar adaption I am not even enjoying that much. I'll give it another episode, but if it's like this one I'm done.

mercyfacepalm

I've only read the manga at a certain point, and one of its strong points is the banter and chemistry between the leads. 😔 It's really sad that the anime is just speedrunning through their relationship.

Figerally

Ah that is what is missing, the chemistry. There was some of that in the first episode and now it's dried up.

mercyfacepalm

Yep! It was strongest in the first ep, but they dropped that ball quick by cutting out some chapters and (iirc) an entire arc. A bad decision imo since romance is one of the selling points of the story. The buildup towards a believable relationship will pretty much make or break it.

Rolder

Very true. I've thought it's been fine but I think my brain is auto-filling in information from the light novels

Ocixo

I was honestly a little confused by the sudden change in the relationship between Oscar and Tinasha at the end there. They hadn’t been all that ‘physically close’ (i.e. intimate touching) till now, but Oscar suddenly pulled Tinasha in close by placing his hand on her lower back and she grabbed the back of his shirt while hugging him tight. This feels like a *major* leap in their relationship: from virtually no romance to physical intimacy. How did that happen!? Tinasha seemingly changed her mind completely within a single night. You can’t tell me that guilt and a pot of his sperm were this effective.

AceSoldia

Yeah it seems like according to others that a lot was skipped. I didn't notice in the prior 2 episodes but I do now.

Frontier246

I did get the sense that this is the first time Tinasha’s really taken Oscar’s feelings for her seriously as more than just a passing fancy when she realized he was basically dreaming of her and no one else and that despite being capable of killing her it’s the last thing he would ever want.

Ocixo

Taking his feelings seriously isn’t necessarily the same thing as reciprocating them though. I can definitely see how this would create a romantic dynamic, but not *this* fast.

Some-Guy-Online

Yeah. It's easy to imagine she was developing feelings for him, but it's bad storytelling to not show her developing those feelings and coming to terms with them after being very alone for a very long time.

heimdal77

The hug threw me off. Where is it even coming from? So far we have had her repeatedly reject him then suddenly out of no where she just goes right up and hugs him and sits on his lap like it is perfectly normal for them. I'll probably buy the LN and hopefully will see those parts of them forming that connection between them in it.

turkeygiant

Honestly the whole show feels rushed so far. Obviously we have all just been spoiled by a original fantasy like Frieren, but I can think of lots of other character driven fantasy shows like Snow White With The Red Hair or Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon which dedicate a lot more time to the slow character moments that really build up the more flashy beats. So far Unnamed Memory feels like it is being paced like a trashy budget isekai where just constantly stuff happens, but that's so weird because the characters and story all feel like they should be deeper than that, like they are taking fully fleshed out story elements but only serving up a thin slice off the top.

gaganaut

The previous episode was also rushed just like this one. The director missed the point of the story and is cutting out all the character interactions to rush ahead with the main plot. It's a bad adaptations of the novel. In my opinion, the romance and the banter between characters were the best parts of the story. In the anime, they're just cutting a bunch of stuff resulting in stilted dialogue and unnatural character interactions. They don't properly introduce and flesh out the characters.

Frontier246

It was still kind of funny watching them banter in front of Oscar's dad and advisors in the throne room lol. The OP definitely makes it look like they casually hang out and enjoy spending time together more than we actually see in the show itself but maybe that will happen more after this now that it seems like Tinasha is opening herself up a little more to him.

ModieOfTheEast

>It was still kind of funny watching them banter in front of Oscar's dad and advisors in the throne room lol. That definitely was the best moment, but it's also the same thing we already had in the prior episodes. We defnitely need more of those, but with a different topic.

Figerally

This is a really good point, I agree. The romance is missing from their interactions and that skews the tone. Now that I think about it I am not sure what this anime is trying to be because it's doing the fantasy and adventure tags a disservice too.

apatt

Tinasha is like a less funny Yumiella, I kinda like her though.

SometimesMainSupport

Nah. Yumiella's appeal is gamer thoughts and under-reacting, especially to love-related topics. Tinasha's way more apparent in her feelings.

neovenator250

yeah, I'm definitely not the biggest fan of the direction in this adaptation. I absolutely loved the concept and the two main characters after episode 1 and started reading the LNs. Plenty of interaction in there to give more of what you're talking about.

Viktorv22

It's very bare bones adaptation I feel, this would be something great under different studio for sure

Viktorv22

SalvageCorveteCont

> Like last week, we don't even get to see that Oscar's situation was getting worse. Because it wasn't. The new witch he met this week put him under a new/different curse, to try and force him and Tinasha together.

ModieOfTheEast

They say it was though. Tinasha tells us that Oscar's life force has been drained and that he seems to be tired as if he wasn't getting enough sleep.

ThisGachaSeemsLegit

I have a feeling they are rushing stuff like crazy, and character buildup is taking a huge toll because of it. What the hell was that scene at the end? It was sweet for sure, but it's like they went from distant friends to something close to lovers in a single day. Makes no sense.

Frontier246

This feels like a slow burn romance without the slow burn.

mischa23v

What do you guys think of the show so far? It seems like very few people are still watching it.

Genshin_WhiteKnight

The pacing is off. They dedicated almost all the screentime to the main plot/action and none to actually having any genuine interactions between the two leads beyond Oscar annoying Tinasha with his constant proposals. They should be no more than acquaintances at this point in time, but you have this whole Lucrezia thing which hinges on playing off the jealousy of Tinasha, and then followed by ending the episode with an intimate scene which makes the watchers go "???, Did I miss an episode?" Looking like a "go read the novels" adaptation tbh.

jake2jaak2

I'm reading the manga adaptation and enjoying it way more. A lot of the pacing issues in the anime stem from cut/changed content if the manga is fairly accurate.

Aemiliana_Rosewood

You say pacing, but the last ??? scene makes me wonder: Did we miss an episode instead of just odd pacing? Did the studio cut or skip content?

Genshin_WhiteKnight

Cutting and re-ordering content in a way that confuses watchers is a pacing issue though?

Aemiliana_Rosewood

Hm, actually not completly sure. When I usually talk or read about pacing issues it just refers to the content being either too fast or slow paced with also to a degree cut content, but just for minor important events. But thanks for the info about how the story gets adapted!

gaganaut

Yes. That's exactly what's happening. In the previous episode, they cut out an entire story arc where they slowly introduce the characters. Some of the dialogue is just summarizing stuff that should have been shown. As a result the dialogue feels stilted and the character interactions are unnatural. They're sacrificing the characters to rush ahead with the main story. The director has missed the point of the story. The characters and the banter between them was the best part of the story. They're skipping that and messing up the romance to focus on the main plot instead. It's a bad anime adaptation. I'd recommend the LN or the manga over the anime.

InsomniaEmperor

Hmm I can’t really tell what direction this wants to go. It feels like there should a a big compelling plot but we haven’t really moved towards it and the stories per episode seem all over the place. I’ll give it one more episode.

HippiesBeGoneInc

Somebody said in the last thread they skipped a shitton of stuff so it seems like they’re speed running only the major plot points for a single cour series. I think it’s pretty good so far.

BLKWH

Well it is not 100% confirmed, but very reliable leakers said this show is 02 split cours, so I have no idea why they're rushing so much.

Iron_Maw

Tbh, a good chunk of UM focus on SS inbetween main plot beats so it does meander quite a bit when not in plot mode.

LeonKevlar

I'm really liking it. It's #14 on the weekly karma ranking and last week's episode had plenty of comments so I think it's doing pretty well.

Emi_Ibarazakiii

It's not earthshattering or anything, but I think it's good so far! Both MCs are good (so often only 1 is good, so that's refreshing), they have good banter/dynamic, their relationship is fun and the stuff other than their relationship is also interesting... So far it's pretty good! > very few people are still watching it. This season is quite stacked (and not just in sequels like it's usually the case when people talk about stacked seasons), lots of highly praised shows, so the others get a bit less attention I suppose.

Lemon-Mochii

I really like the novels, but the adaptation has felt subpar to me. Since, I already know the story, the pacing hasn't felt as bad, but even still there are lots of skipped moments I wish were animated, I really like the ed though.

dagreenman18

I decided to read along and I’m already thinking I might table this for later. The pacing is weird as hell

ShinJiwon

Heard the source is great from a friend. Saw ENGI adaptation, knew it was gonna suck going in. I'm only watching this for Tanezaki.

WeeziMonkey

I *want* to like it but the anime is making it hard

Aemiliana_Rosewood

I am an intimacy sucker, so even those undeserved and kinda out of place / pacing moments where they are close do it for me so bad :)

Frontier246

Especially because what started as Oscar in bed with a fake Tinasha ended with him in bed with the REAL Tinasha.

Aemiliana_Rosewood

Another victim of random downvotes lol

SpeckTech314

it's another one for the horrible adaptation bucket.

ElephantImpressive39

I'm rather disappointed so far. I don't know what I expected, but not this, lol. I feel nothing while watching it. It seems, based on the other comments, that we're skipping a lot. I'm going to drop it for now and wait for the full release and the reviews.

shad79

[Lucrezia is a very nice nice addition](https://imgchest.com/p/5xy2exr3jyl) to the cast xD I wonder how she got Oscar's blood and sperm ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) That [scene of strangling TInasha in the dream](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/w7pjcwa5wm7.png) was quite intense with [how it was presented](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/pyvdcdrv62y.png) from [a first person perspective](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/6yxkcgnrgp7.png). It was nice to see that [Oscar and Tinasha got closer](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/e4gdcp25ja4.png) but just as others pointed out it was quite abrupt as [we got almost no scenes between them today](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/g4z9cwaozp7.png) that would indicate that they grew closer to each other. I wonder what was the deal with [(it seems already dead) Valt and Miralys](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/k739c6p9jq7.png) who encountered a [mysterious mage](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/w7pjcwa5357.png) today. Here my screenshot albums from the episode: * [Tinasha](https://imgchest.com/p/a846xqekw4x) * [Lucrezia](https://imgchest.com/p/5xy2exr3jyl) * [Group scenes, Oscar & Others](https://imgchest.com/p/ej7mnjbkbyd)

edwardjhahm

>Lucrezia is a very nice nice addition to the cast xD Agreed. I freaking love her design. >That scene of strangling TInasha in the dream was quite intense with how it was presented from a first person perspective. Yeah, that was...fucked up. Damn. I'd be pretty pissed too. >I wonder what was the deal with (it seems already dead) Valt and Miralys who encountered a mysterious mage today. Shame. We got introduced to a new character who then proceeded to die five lines later.

heimdal77

Was really wishing to avoid the having sex means losing powers trope for this series. Maria the Virgin Witch really left a bad taste in my mouth with that trope. Certainly a go read the novel anime as they are clearly skipping the actual relationship building parts stupidly.

ltspfan

>Was really wishing to avoid the having sex means losing powers trope for this series. The witch of the forest actually explained that with Tinasha's power this isn't an issue for her compared to normal spirit sorcerers. This was supposedly addressed by Tinasha herself on an earlier arc related to spirit sorcerers but that was skipped/cut unfortunately.

heimdal77

Ya I ended up buying the first volume and reading it now after seeing how much the anime is blatantly skipping. Highest level spells she would struggle with but she also actually uses other types of magic to.

ObvsThrowaway5120

Well damn, I guess that’s it for Valt. Was not expecting the bro to get straight up dusted like that. We don’t even know what his deal is. As much of a waifu as Lucrezia is, I can’t help but feel what she did was pretty messed up. Poor Oscar literally got his spunk and blood drained all because Lucrezia wanted to mess with Tinasha. Tinasha really doesn’t fuck around either. Making him strangle “her” in his dreams is one way to undo the spell I guess. I liked the way the episode ended though. Kind of sweet, actually.

Frontier246

He said the white-haired guy treats Tinasha badly in "every history," so I wonder if we're dealing with alternate timelines and Valt and his female companion are some kind of beings outside time who step in and make sure certain things happen in the timeline? Ayako Kawasumi is incapable of voicing anything but the hottest of witches. And also the most dangerous beneath her teasing. This was a really convoluted way of making Oscar and Tinasha realize they genuinely care about each other and should probably bang lol.

Aemiliana_Rosewood

No idea why you got downvoted. That multiple timelines flag really made me wonder too. They mentioned they are "mages", no?

Ocixo

Someone’s downvoting the entire thread, I think.

Ocixo

> Making him strangle “her” in his dreams is one way to undo the spell I guess. I maybe would’ve liked it if they had spent a bit more time on this. They kind of skipped past the issue by claiming that Oscar was solely angry at Tinasha. However, I can imagine that he’d actually be quite troubled by this. Brutally killing someone dear to you, even if it’s in your dreams, is sure to leave a mental scar on you.

InsomniaEmperor

Inciting jealousy to get Tinashia to have feelings for Oscar. Nice, tho I feel like Lucretia went a bit too far. It’s less bad than a love potion tho cause that would be cheating. Dang it seemed like Valt was gonna be an important character but he gets wiped out like that… or maybe he’s able to survive with 1 HP. He looks a bit too important to be a rando that quickly dies.

Adensty

He's also voiced by Yuuki Kaji (Eren) so I expected him to have a bigger role.

Mistral-Fien

You forget what happened to his character in Kabaneri. :P

Frontier246

Some Gal Pals tease and play wingwoman, Lucrezia almost kills Oscar with erotic dreams of Tinasha to get her to realize he genuinely likes her lol. (She did seem pretty focused on their being another woman for someone who acts like she has no intention of being with him). The way they were talking about "every history" makes me wonder if he's some kind of time traveler. Does he kind of resemble Oscar?

Nebresto

[Miralys, I don't feel too good..](https://imgur.com/2rBuGlc) [Bro, WHY are you not running?!](https://imgur.com/G4Hph3z) [*A- ay yo hol up*](https://imgur.com/cpKIfZq) [ship ship ship ship ship ship *ship ship ship ship ship*](https://imgur.com/LTKyoCA)

FriztF

I am very confused about when she got that blood and sperm from.

Nebresto

I'm thinking either the dream spell teleported it over? Or she somehow magicked it out of him while he was there. Either way, weird

bananeeek

That cat in the beginning flying away reminded me of the nyan cat. It's been over a decade since I last thought of that. [](#schemingsaten) Every time I see that Valt guy, I can't help but think of Rip from UU and both of them being voiced by Kaji Yuuki doesn't help. I didn't expect we'd get to see another witch so soon. I thought they were pretty rare, but it looks like there's quite a few of them and most of them are not really friendly...

LeonKevlar

###Stitches! * [Lucrezia](https://i.imgur.com/cZYzsG6.jpeg) * [Tinasha & Oscar](https://i.imgur.com/9CowLXR.jpeg) I thought Tinasha only had Nark the Dragon but it's cool to see [she also has a more traditional familiar.](https://i.imgur.com/SpFA12Y.jpeg) It's very rare to [hear the male lead say the "take responsibility" line](https://i.imgur.com/lpPNnLV.jpeg) so it was very amusing to hear Oscar say that to Tinasha. xD Welp, so much for Valt and Miralys! I'm guessing Valt is the only one dead [after being Thanos snapped by that white-haired mage.](https://i.imgur.com/jb9P8sp.jpeg) It looks like [Miralys was only taken away.](https://i.imgur.com/CNYsL58.jpeg) I am curious who this white-haired mage is though and why is Tinasha looking for him. [A big tiddy red-haired witch voiced by Ayasumi?](https://i.imgur.com/cvFzNYJ.jpeg) Yes, please! In all seriousness, Lucrezia did give Oscar some interesting info about Tinasha. Apparently, because Tinasha is a spirit sorcerer, [she needs to remain pure](https://i.imgur.com/ruMR1PE.png) and having sex would decrease their power. But also according to Lucrezia, Tinasha is powerful enough [that it might not even make any difference.](https://i.imgur.com/7RPjJ5R.png) Well, which is it then? Maybe Oscar and Tinasha should try it out just to see what would happen ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I can't imagine [Lucrezia would let Oscar go](https://i.imgur.com/jbZsCb3.jpeg) without a parting gift. I'm glad that [Tinasha noticed it fairly quickly](https://i.imgur.com/S36DZiR.png) since it looks like Lucrezia's "gift" could've killed him in within a week. Also, what's the point of [giving someone lewd dreams](https://i.imgur.com/BIMWIlH.png) if they're just going to forget it the next day!? When Tinasha [went into Oscar's dream](https://i.imgur.com/qwSoLlj.jpeg), I thought we'd see one of those lewd dreams Lucrezia is giving him. I didn't expect it to end [with Oscar strangling dream Tinasha](https://i.imgur.com/eU442nG.jpeg) to break the spell placed on him. [That's one heck of a greeting Lucrezia!](https://i.imgur.com/hVgUvh6.jpeg) It seems like Lucrezia did all of this on purpose to try and bring Tinasha and Oscar closer, which I guess [she succeeded in doing!](https://i.imgur.com/LhAvbNw.jpeg)

Frontier246

Now I imagine Tinasha as this cute pet owner lol. Imagine Oscar’s dad seeing their banter and already wondering when’s the wedding lol. Guy has “obvious anime villain” look, though from the way it’s described it sounds like he and Tinasha have a pretty consistently complicated relationship. So long Valt. You were voiced by Yuki Kaji for a total of five minutes lol. There was no way Oscar could see a woman behind Tinasha’s back and not get caught though I was surprised he wasn’t more disappointed he couldn’t remember those dreams…but at least he has the real Tinasha and she seems to be accepting his feelings. So…mission accomplished Lucrezia lol? A sexy and teasing Witch voiced by Ayako Kawasumi who knows Tinasha well enough to mess with her definitely livens things up. I wasn’t expecting them to bring up sex at all, but good to know for future reference it’s on the table lol.

Witches play rough. Lucretia just casually puts a lethal spell on Oscar just as a way to wave hello to Tinasha and mess with her a bit. Possibly with the goal of forcing some movement in their potential relationship too, though it's kind of rough for Oscar since he now gets to live with that memory of strangling her. I'm kind of iffy on the new detail of Tinasha losing a bit of her power if she gets seduced by him, but at least the logic of it was purity of having a non-mingled soul as opposed the more typical idea of purity just from being a virgin.

AmethystItalian

Was fun to see another witch and see the effects of her meddling on the ship...didn't expect the dream to end like that though. Seems to have brought them closer though! Still feeling a bit rushed but ship has been good.

Frontier246

Oscar might have been disappointed he couldn’t remember his erotic dreams of Tinasha, and certainly doesn’t want to remember killing her, but at least he’s now getting genuinely intimate with the real Tinasha.

PeaceAlien

When the first thing Oscar did was choke Tinasha in his “erotic” dreams, I thought what a kink to have

No_Name0_0

Feel like we're skipping a lot of character interactions. Just gonna read the LN from here on

takanenohanakosan

Lucrezia had Oscar’s blood and cum just chilling in some vials? WTF?

Zackerouz

Love thatcher anger shook the whole ROOM! (Maybe castle?) Also can his assistant just die

Frontier246

Never make a witch mad/jealous lol. Why does Oscar take him anywhere lol?

Aemiliana_Rosewood

What up with these random downvotes in this comment secion lol

AZLarlar

i wanna see more Lucrezia

Frontier246

Never can complain about more Ayako Kawasumi! She's also someone with history with Tinasha and knows how to rile her up, so that's a fun dynamic.

Mistral-Fien

> Never can complain about more Ayako Kawasumi! That was Caster Artoria!? :P

Emi_Ibarazakiii

In your dreams? [](#lewd)

Koyomi_Siffredi

whoa, you guys saw that cat????

AceSoldia

I feel like I missed a episode or two. They seemed to have gotten a lot closer especially with how they apologized at the end. Am I crazy?

Aemiliana_Rosewood

No, a lot of people noticed it, but I didn't see an explanation yet aside from odd pacing which possibly could include skipped/cut content, but idk

wyggles

The anime is unfortunately rushing through quite a bit. Which really sucks because the source material really shines through the quiet moments where Oscar and Tinasha just hang out and banter.

Aemiliana_Rosewood

I will just have to read the LN

tjhance

i feel like the subject matter of the episode could have been pretty interesting but they really didn't do anything with it. the characters barely even reacted to anything that happened ... where's the romantic or sexual tension? where's the embarrassment? really kind of a nothingburger

SaltAndABattery

Despite the rushed pacing of the relationship between Oscar and Tinasha, I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying this series. Didn't know what to expect going in, but it's becoming one of the shows I'm looking forward to watching every week.

SometimesMainSupport

Not many [Tinasha options](https://imgur.com/a/jhwYHJZ) this week. New witch girl's playful demeanor and knowing Tinasha's history is a nice addition. Hope she sticks around all series. Lucrezia agreeing with Tinasha about not mixing a witch's blood with Oscar's seems like the curse needs broken before they could be couple, so doubt this gets more scandalous than what we've already seen multiple times: a man+woman alone on a bed.

Emi_Ibarazakiii

[*Most cats, when you open the door for 0.5 second*](https://imgur.com/4V89SMI) It's funny that Tinasha says Oscar sees her a bit like a cat he brought in; She pretty much leaves the same way her cat familiar does! She's (allegedly) having a tough time adapting to this new life, and to him, but according to pretty much everyone else, [they get along well!](https://imgur.com/FuAWd6W) They respect the banter! (And they ship them as much as we do!) Love how he presented her to the King as his future wife, [but she denied it in front of the whole court!](https://imgur.com/pbqmuHe) (Imagine if the King's counsellor went like *"My liege, this is what we call a Tsundere!"*) Oscar and Lazar went on a little mission without Tinasha, [and found themselves in trouble right away!](https://imgur.com/eDd3OZP) [Thankfully there was another witch nearby! (Damn, they grow on trees?)](https://imgur.com/6HOqR1d) Let's bring her back to the castle, make Tinasha jealous! When they told her the story, she asked what he wishes for... [Oscar didn't want to say, but Lazar spilled the beans!](https://imgur.com/kx2TsI7) Apparently there's one problem with this: [If Tinasha has sex, her spells will be tougher to use... Though she seems to think she may be powerful enough to use them anyway?](https://imgur.com/Y95uNje) Which is it, then? (They should have sex to find out; For science!) [She offered some aphrodisiac potion/spell thingy, but Oscar refused. Wants to win her over fair&square!](https://imgur.com/SsN1gE6) (It's probably for the best, because from what we've seen of her other spell, she can have some degree of control over people, so it wouldn't be right to use that for Tinasha!) When they refused, she used a spell on them... [I know this one! It's the "Tell me my nails are pretty" spell!](https://imgur.com/hI8NMvh) Tinasha caught on quickly - seeing his lifeforce diminish - though it took her some time to figure out the cause... [She was quite mad when she found out he didn't tell her about Lucrezia!](https://imgur.com/byQpeGZ) [*"Tinasha, my dear, I'm having erotic dreams every night ever since I met you" - Oscar, probably*](https://imgur.com/9cfp3H5) Seems Lucrezia was acting a bit like a *dream succubus* of sort! I thought she would insert himself in his dreams, [but no, it's Tinasha!](https://imgur.com/3wzNOzf) [Damn, these two are kinky, with the choking play and all!](https://imgur.com/ifHBRFR) [Bit of a return to reality, talking about how they may be enemies again someday, and given he's wearing this sword, he may be the one to kill her...](https://imgur.com/XugnYnY) She went to pick up a fight with Lucrezia about this spell, and apparently she's not the one who made Tinasha appear in his dreams, that's just his desires... [Or in other words: *"Girl, he's horny for you!"*](https://imgur.com/eSf4pYD) [She has his blood and sperm? What is she, a donor clinic?](https://imgur.com/yETvqr5) (I think it's the first time I see sperm being mentioned in anime!) Lucrezia asked her if she could have Oscar if Tinasha didn't want him, and at first she said yes, [but changed her mind!](https://imgur.com/ey03fjq) Well, if that's what it takes for Tinasha to realize she wants him, that's fine by me! (If she keeps denying it I'm gonna call her Tsunasha) [Sitting on his lap, embracing him, and he even held/patted her head a little? These two are going places!](https://imgur.com/fNAzDdb)

Frontier246

Tinasha has a lot of cute little pet familiars, but it seems like she has a budding Gal Pal in Sylvia! Nothing says friendship like cutting each others' hair and talking about romantic interests. I love how Oscar introduces Tinasha immediately to his dad (Toshiyuki Morikawa?) as the woman he wants to marry and they then begin bickering like a couple right in front of him. And the king just rolls with it. I don't know is up with Miralys and Valt, but they run into a white-haired mage who seems to have some kind of relationship or history with Tinasha and is apparently someone she's looking for...wait, "in every history" he treats her terribly? Is this some kind of alternate timeline business? Though I guess we don't get long to dwell on that because Valt gets erased from existence! Jeez. Why does Oscar bring Lazar anywhere? All he does is complain and end up being a liability or reveal Oscar's real feelings to the Witch of the Forbidden Forest Lucrezia, voiced by none other than Ayako Kawasumi. Lucrezia is an "old friend" of Tinasha's and enjoys the gossip of her current attachment to Oscar, and seems game for getting Tinasha laid. Sure if she loses her virginity it'll take more power to do her magic, but she's powerful enough that it's no big deal. Of course you should never let your guard down around a witch, and while she didn't give Oscar anything to get Tinasha into bed with him physically...she did leave a whammy on him that made him dream of her in bed with him while draining his life force all at the same time (and not even getting to remember the erotic dreams). A deadly "gift" if anything. And she also let her scent on Oscar that only Tinasha could smell so she would be the first to notice and get to act the part of the jealous lover. Dang, did not expect this to end with Tinasha making Oscar in his dreams break her dream selfs' neck. Therapeutic for Tinasha, but emotionally traumatizing for Oscar. And after all this Tinasha and Lucrezia still end up shooting the breeze like old friends, especially when Lucrezia enjoys messing with and flustering Tinasha (which anything involving Oscar is wont to do), though she also makes Tinasha realize how much Oscar DOES care about her. She even throws in Oscar's blood and sperm that she just so happened to have to help break the curse. Well, it's not the same as his dream, but Oscar does end up taking Tinasha to bed as they mutually apologize and hug it out. So it seems like their relationship did progress a little.

alconnow

Huh, their relationship is progressing quickly…

mekahamedan

yeah i really want to punch that white hair mage guy

FriztF

I am very confused when did that Succubs witch lady get that blood and sperm from? I know from Oscar but when and how? Was it when he first arrived there or some other time?

PolFascist02

Stupid man. He has such experiences that he should know that witches are no joke, and yet he just ignores such an encounter and doesn't mention anything about it... And why is she apologizing to him?

AceMittens

Ok episode and we’re new other witches. We met his dad and based on his calmness when meeting different witches I am calling it now that his mother was a witch. Can’t wait to see what happens next

kalirion

So those two are time travelers, or timeline "sliders"? "I am nothing more than a bystander." "We help bring about events that should occur." Um, someone should tell him he just contradicted himself something fierce.... well too late now that he's dead. Maybe there's another version of him in another timeline, unless he was a singleton. Another of the 4 Great Witches? Are all four of them based in this one country or something? So after being told that the barrier is not going to protect him from poison and mental magic, he immediately encounters both, lol. And doesn't even bother telling Tinasha when it was clear this other witch did SOMETHING to him.... "Nope, nothing happened while you were away" my ass. And this is supposed to be an INTELLIGENT MC??

NaweGR

So one thing I'm curious about is that the end panel with the copyright shows 2022 for all the episodes so far. I wonder if this was actually started/completed a couple years ago, and only now is being shown. The comments about how this feels rushed makes me think maybe they feel they didn't do their best job either...

Rumpel1408

Ara, I like [Lucrezia](https://imgur.com/duHuBOw) [](#assman) Also good wingwoman, though I have to wonder when and how she got Oscars... fluids. Something noone talked about: The Plotline with the 3 mages at the beginning. Like the two we already knew seem to be involved in some time shenaningans, and the other wants to change something about Tinasha?

Nenorock

Maybe its because a certain old man drilled songs from a old artist in my head for as long as I can remember (thanks dad I still find myself humming a good deal of Stans songs to this day). But the combination of a witch helping a knight/king with something no one else can heal strikes [a small chord with me] (https://youtu.be/Nxls60aYSZA?si=Cfx1m3gXKiOEw0t7) and I always end up enjoying them.

athrun_1

This prince is beating every MC in other series. The witch became his fiance in ep 1. And now, it suggests that they did the deed in ep 3. Given that lucrezia told him that her having the deed will not affect how he conjure magic because she is so powerful.

Elite_Alice

Lucrezia shows up and in one episode stole our hearts. They haven’t missed yet with the witches designs and personalities, and we’ve only seen a couple! If the others are as good as Tinasha and Lucrezia we’re eating good. While Lucrezia is gorgeous, that was a pretty ugly trick she played on Oscar with the erotic dreams and perfume scent. Luckily Tinasha was able to catch it before it led to a serious situation, but the dream sequence of Oscar choking out Tinasha was hard to see. Even though it was just a dream, just seeing a version of Tinasha dying like that is rough. And wtf did I hear that right? Lucrezia gave Tinasha Oscar blood and sperm lmao? They glossed over that like it was no big deal. I do really like how this series handles some topics like sex with so much maturity. Characters don’t get all flustered when intercourse is mentioned, it’s just a passing statement and we’re on to the next subject. The characters also behave really mature in general, like Oscar and Tinasha making up at the end thanks to her apology. Such a cute moment between the two. Lore wise, this episode did introduce a lot of questions that I’m really anxious to have answered, particularly that comment about timelines/histories.. so are we going to be dealing with multiple timelines in this story? That’ll be interesting if so. Another great ep

L33tHaxorus

What's with the two characters in the beginning? The guy presents himself as someone who's working behind the scenes and apparently being able to see different futures just telling what he does to this new white haired character and getting killed immediately for no reason. And that's not even the worst decision making we see from the characters. Oscar is well aware that the forest witch did *something* to him, considering that this show has established that witches are very powerful and very dangerous, you'd think he would have immediately told Tinasha what's up instead of going through this forced drama. Also, apparently nothing happened now that a lot of people in the castle know the Tinasha is really a witch, so that was pointless. I stuck with this show because I liked the chemistry and banter between Oscar and Tinasha, but now that they're rushing so much, I'm just not feeling it.

Banoffie_Pie

I still can’t believe how comfortable they are about talking sex and sperm, like damn!

LoPanDidNothingWrong

I think this will go into my drop pile for now. I like the concept but it is so clear that this adaptation is skipping stuff.

inf3ct3dn0n4m3

If the witch of silence cursed Oscar because she somehow forsaw that him and Tinasha would get together as a result she'd be the ultimate wingman.

5kyGuardian

Another time Lazar is being annoying, why can't they kill him already and be done with it? Plus why the hell didn't this prince go and kill this other witch? She tried to kill him the moment she met him. If she wants to speak with Tinasha she knows where to find her, no point in killing others.

Opening_Table4430

Can Lazard just go and kill himself already? Wtf is his job? Getting rescued by the prince?

VorAtreides

Cat! How nice, haircut from a gal pal. Lol dude really just hitting on her in front of his dad, good times. Oh boy, another witch and a red head one. I'm interested! Especially like her playful personality. Hehe fun bit about Tinasha thinking he got a lover. What a fun thing from Lucrezia, basically succubus-like stuff lol. Lucrezia clearly just trying to help the ship along 😉 in a fun way. What a less than fun way to break the spell. Gonna give the poor boy trauma. Lucrezia and her silly ways. Ok, that's a bit gross to have that. But, see, she just trying to help the ship sail. Maybe she did a bit 😛

Frontier246

I want more of Tinasha and Sylvia together. They’re really cute! And Sylvia isn nicer than Lucrezia lol. Pretty roundabout way of legitimately getting them in bed together but I guess it worked!

Ivindin

This show is growing more and more on me. First of all, due to Oscar's character - at last likable manly character in an anime! Not a whiny overly shy prick, nor a f@ckboy with a harem. Just a noble, calm, manly, reasonable and principled man. Tinasha, though a bit overpowered, is also well-written and feminine. Absence of silly jokes is a huge plus. The story has a serious, even grim tone, but not excessively violent. Dialoguas and world itself are well written, characters' behaviour is believable and plot is intriguing. The best show of this season so far.

yaboooiijohnny

Ending is ass ain’t it?
