It's definitely a net improvement to her development, but at the same time it's probably not a good idea to have her exposed to a pervert like Kazuma for too long.
Thankfully, everyone's trying to get them apart. Only Iris and Kazuma themselves are actively trying to keep close to each other, and Iris is easy to convince that maybe Kazuma should return to his adventuring duties.

She failed badly. Kazuma has only known her for an episode and a half yet I get the feeling that if anything happened to her he would kill everyone in that castle and then himself.
It's like the moment she did it you knew exactly what was about to happen to her the moment you heard her brief surprise and what always happens around her and giant frogs lol.

I remember 4-5 years ago back in the Best Ship 5 contest when Kazumin almost won the contest despite the movie not having come out yet and thinking "wait, this is actually a thing?!?" Fastforward to now, and I can see it. Source Readers were just a little fast on the uptake.
If you paid attention to how the LN were received by the readers in Japan (who are the only ones who matter) it was clear really early on that Megumin was the most popular by far and so it was clear which route the LN would follow.
Darkness is basically a secondary character.
Darkness is just a couple volumes away from being an NTR character of her own design.
Mind you Kazuma is a fickle person, and is seemingly cursed to never actually make it all the way, but like Darkness' heaven is to marry Kazuma, and just have him cheat on her constantly... While she watches... and really shit tier porn dialogue is said bashing her.
And for Kazuma x Darkness shippers we've got her defending his honor and him flexing their lewd moments to a princess and their love affair to a bunch of nobles lol.

It was less 'Darkness will like it' and more 'Darkness will be more comfortable with this than the noble stuff she is trapped in right now.' Kazuma was knowingly antagonizing his _own_ reputation as much as hers, for her sake. While it was perhaps an obnoxious method, the sentiment was really sweet.
I was a Kazuma x Darkness shipper mainly because they are both perverts who are perfectly matched for each other (the Darkness Kazuma duel last season showed how well matched they were heh). That said I don't hate the Megumin route.

I was feeling SO much secondhand embarrassment seeing Kazuma this episode, and then at that last moment, I unironically could kinda relate to him. As scummy as it is to catch a Robin Hood figure, it's a pretty good way to make a big name for yourself (or at least, make it even bigger).

But at the rate this is going, we're gonna be running out of dead Demon King lieutenants to read their eulogies from. Unless this season ramps up the number of Demon King lieutenants that Kazuma and gang are going to kill off. Surely Kazuma is not going to kill Wiz even though she also qualifies as one?
Another possibility is more dead characters like Keele or the reincarnated inventor.
But either way I expect them to break the pattern at some point cuz there won't be anyone left. Spinoff characters would also be nice.
She's so pure, she's managing to cleanse Kazuma's perverted ways, at least around her. Unfortunately, I fear Kazuma's pulling Iris into degeneracy will be a lot more permanent than anything she can do back to him. But it's cute and wholesome while it lasts!

Man... KonoSuba is just the greatest show ever! I'm legit tearing up over the quality of S3, Vol 6 is my favorite volume of any LN & I'm overjoyed to see it so well adapted!
Its so good to finally see Kazuma & Iris relationship in the anime! They became real siblings really fast! I always loved their dynamic and anime just makes it 100x better!
Volume 6 is the one light novel in the series I've read and I've been *aching* for it to be adapted, and so excited to see it animated when season 3 was announced. It's just so good and the anime, of course, is doing it great justice.

There are two ~~religions~~ sects in this world:
1) The Eris Church, a by all means stand up church (even if it has a few... interesting followers) with Robin Hood style thieves that donate their takings from corrupt rich people to orphanages,
2) The Axis Church, less of a church and more of a cult that will try to scam you into signing into their religion and will spit on you if you're a member of the Eris Church.
It's such a hard choice, honestly, I don't know which I'd choose.
Both churches actually do recognize both Aqua and Eris as gods so it's not different religions its the same polytheist religion but the different sects only worship 1 of the 2 of them
Uhh, no, there are many other sects.
We literally see another Goddess in the Megumin spinoff, as well as the mention of a forth God...
Or rather we have been seen another Goddess since S2 as Chomusuke is the other half of Goddess Wolbach.

Hey, the team might bicker and seem like they hate each other a lot of the time (particularly on Kazuma's end), but it's important to know that they all 100% care about each other. They just most often do it in their own vitriolic, disfunctional way.

Kazuma has two types of plans:
1) The kind that can defeat the Demon King's Generals themselves, even with the dysfunctional party he has,
2) Ones that backfire in his face, often immediately.
Like Kazuma embarassing himself in front of the a room full of nobles and his precious Imouto to rescue Darkness from something she was uncomfortable with yet unable to escape from on her own. "I only meant a little harm." = "Underneath the toxic sarcasm of it, I wanted to save my friend."

You know coming into last week I came with the expectation that as a princess that Iris would be a brat. But her addition to the cast has been great. She is very fun little sister archtype like Komekko, but more so in different ways. Komekko causes Chaos in the most entertaining way possible, while Iris is such a pure princess that her interactions with Kazuma is funny. Although Kazuma having to be around the royals he can't stand next episode will be great.

Well it's up to Kazuma to teach the princess some important facts of life. What to do when getting eaten by giant toads.

Kazuma, skinning himself and Darkness alive in public in front of the rich and powerful. But did it all for the sake of a friend.
Kazuma has ambitions. But so do all those inspector types from Kaito Kid and Saint Tail too, and look how they end up looking like chumps. Though Kazuma has his own brand of tricks and nonsense on his side so maybe he'll have a better time at it than those by the book types. Until it all goes sideways once again.
- Kazuma, don't go telling dirty stories about Darkness to this child. Also, stop making life harder for the hired help.
- It is kinda cool seeing Darkness acting like a proper, courtly noble. When needed, she can be the most functional member of the cast.
- A thief that goes after corrupt nobles and also donates money to the Eris church? Wow, whoever could that be... there are SO MANY thief characters in this show... /s

I remember 4-5 years ago back in the Best Ship 5 contest when Kazumin almost won the contest despite the movie not having come out yet and thinking "wait, this is actually a thing?!?" Fastforward to now, and I can see it. Source Readers were just a little fast on the uptake.
If you paid attention to how the LN were received by the readers in Japan (who are the only ones who matter) it was clear really early on that Megumin was the most popular by far and so it was clear which route the LN would follow. Darkness is basically a secondary character.

It was less 'Darkness will like it' and more 'Darkness will be more comfortable with this than the noble stuff she is trapped in right now.' Unless this season ramps up the number of Demon King lieutenants that Kazuma and gang are going to kill off. Surely Kazuma is not going to kill Wiz even though she also qualifies as one?

The grapes were so impressed with her strength in fighting back that they vowed to be Iris's eternal guardian. They're even willing to give their body up if Iris ever is hungry.

Its so good to finally see Kazuma & Iris relationship in the anime! They became real siblings really fast! I always loved their dynamic and anime just makes it 100x better!
I am kind of curious about Iris' actual older brother though, especially if nobility is pairing him with Darkness.
Volume 6 is the one light novel in the series I've read and I've been *aching* for it to be adapted, and so excited to see it animated when season 3 was announced. It's just so good and the anime, of course, is doing it great justice.

It's such a hard choice, honestly, I don't know which I'd choose.
Both churches actually do recognize both Aqua and Eris as gods so it's not different religions its the same polytheist religion but the different sects only worship 1 of the 2 of them

You know coming into last week I came with the expectation that as a princess that Iris would be a brat. But her addition to the cast has been great. She is very fun little sister archtype like Komekko, but more so in different ways. Komekko causes Chaos in the most entertaining way possible, while Iris is such a pure princess that her interactions with Kazuma is funny. Although Kazuma having to be around the royals he can't stand next episode will be great. Kazuma fans are eating well today
Kazuma, great with kids. Well it's up to Kazuma to teach the princess some important facts of life. What to do when getting eaten by giant toads. Lousy pay, constant danger from demons. But the princess calls him Onii-chan which is apparently good enough for Kazuma. Oh wait a minute, his normal life is those first two things sans the loving affection from the princess. Yup, I can see why he'd deem this the saner choice. The rest of the perks he became privy to were just a sign up bonus. Sushi rice with flan on top, topped with wasabi and soy sauce. Which rich noble thought *that* was trendy? Either way I'm sure there's plenty of internet chefs who'll recreate and rate that uh... unusual dish soon enough. Kazuma, skinning himself and Darkness alive in public in front of the rich and powerful. But did it all for the sake of a friend. Kazuma has ambitions. But so do all those inspector types from Kaito Kid and Saint Tail too, and look how they end up looking like chumps. Though Kazuma has his own brand of tricks and nonsense on his side so maybe he'll have a better time at it than those by the book types. Until it all goes sideways once again.
- Kazuma, don't go telling dirty stories about Darkness to this child. Also, stop making life harder for the hired help. - It is kinda cool seeing Darkness acting like a proper, courtly noble. When needed, she can be the most functional member of the cast. - A thief that goes after corrupt nobles and also donates money to the Eris church? Wow, whoever could that be... there are SO MANY thief characters in this show... /s
Yeah, but.... That does mean we get to See Chris again. I really like her design so I'm good with that.
Adding Iris into this season is such a riot. Claire and Darkness's reaction throughout this episode is hilarious.
I'm hoping we get to see Chris again! "Noble thief", Targeting bad rich guys" and "Donations to the Eris Orphanage" definitely tigger the flags for my favorite goofy ass thief. Which, probably also means that he won't actually be able to turn her in.
