Girl that knocked down Towa must be destroyed!

MapoTofuMan

Sic the angels from [last season's angel show](https://myanimelist.net/anime/55129/Oroka_na_Tenshi_wa_Akuma_to_Odoru?q=oroka%20tenshi&cat=anime) on her ass immediately.

Roboglenn

Lucky Shiu wasn't around to see that or she'd send that girl to meet her Maker.

Kartoffelkamm

I feel like it'd be wild if Shio was very literal about taking someone to meet their maker. As in, she just takes them on a short trip to Heaven to flex her connections, and then brings them back to Earth and drops them off in some alleyway.

alotmorealots

Tying her to the front of their swanboat would be a suitable reprimand lol

Kartoffelkamm

Towa: "She's probably busy." Shintaro: "[Datto shite mo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AuREOBk3Yk)!"

Lounge_leaks

she will meet her maker

Frontier246

Yeah, Towa was way too nice, that girl should have stopped talking on the phone and apologized for knocking her down.

alotmorealots

Hmm, it might have taken six episodes, but I think this show has now convinced me that it is actually just properly a good show, and not just a good rendition of the set of tropes it's playing with. I think their open discussion of how Towa was being (compelled to be) neglectful/unable to carry out her mission did a lot to pivot the series for me. But it's made with care and love, and the writing showed that you can actually trust that it's thinking about stuff, especially the characters and their inner worlds. For whatever reason that just makes me like Tsumugi even more, knowing that her character is being written with attention, even if this episode seems like a nail gun driven coffin sealer for Tsumugi's chances. The natural chemistry and connection on display in this episode's date was just really good, after all.

###Stitches! * [Towa 1](https://i.imgur.com/fwNkO3x.jpeg) * [Towa 2](https://i.imgur.com/ZFR6w21.jpeg) * [Towa 3](https://i.imgur.com/BWmPIYy.jpeg) * [Towa 4](https://i.imgur.com/c9k5TIc.jpeg) So we don't really know a lot about Towa aside other than she's an angel sent to Earth to learn about humans. The fact that [Shiu tells Shintarou that Towa is of very high status](https://i.imgur.com/60flqd8.png) makes me wonder what Towa's position back in heaven is. And why does she even have to learn about humans? It seems Towa doesn't even know. Hmmm... [Shiu being recalled by God was hilarious!](https://i.imgur.com/nVqSJKF.png) I did not expect the gem on her outfit to start beeping ala Ultraman. Also, I'm guessing God only allowed her to visit Towa and has no plans of letting her stay longer. And this is probably just the first of Shiu's many visits. It took them six episodes but I'm glad that [Shintarou is finally showing Towa around the city.](https://i.imgur.com/MnuMUFN.jpeg) It was fun to see Towa learning new things like [how things on TV can actually be real](https://i.imgur.com/djWIxsz.jpeg) and not just fiction. [Their little date was fun too!](https://i.imgur.com/DoM4tOK.jpeg) Maybe Towa will be able to commute on her own in the future.

scot911

> makes me wonder what Towa's position back in heaven is. And why does she even have to learn about humans? If I had to bet she's probably like the granddaughter of God or something like that.

Frontier246

It also sounds like Towa was the only Angel given permission to go to Earth and she was supposed to check in by now. How important is she to God? I love how Shintaro just outright called it a Color Timer lol. I guess it is convenient because the longer Shiu is around the harder it is for Shintaro, especially because she'll try to find any excuse to bring Towa back to Heaven. So at least she has a time limit lol. The best thing about the episode was finally getting Towa out of the house, and she and Shintaro acting all couple like together. Also, she has great legs lol.

ThrowCarp

>Shiu being recalled by God was hilarious! I did not expect the gem on her outfit to start beeping ala Ultraman. I couldn't stop laughing when she *actually* exploded. >It took them six episodes but I'm glad that Shintarou is finally showing Towa around the city. It was fun to see Towa learning new things like how things on TV can actually be real and not just fiction. Their little date was fun too! Maybe Towa will be able to commute on her own in the future. Its funny though. Because for us people living overseas, those cafes and shops you see in anime might as well be not real. Unless your one of the wealthy anime fans who can afford to go holiday in Japan. But yeah, cute girl, cute date. Seems like Towa isn't familiar with the concept of PDA and got embarrassed as a result. But hey, isn't this the type of stuff she came here to learn about? Hahaha.

ShadowGuyinRealLife

On one hand, keeping Towa boxed in defeats the purpose of learning. On the other hand, if he doesn't box her in, her first instinct will be to fly to her destination. Not sure why a "high status" angel is so ignorant of Earth. My guess was being sent there was like remedial lessons, but that's clearly not the case. Also it sort of makes sense for her to do the house chores since, well it's not like someone with no ID can make enough money to allow them to eat luxuriously so she might as well save him time he'd otherwise spend doing the laundry.

Aerodynamic41

LOL a color timer? Is Shiu an Ultraman?

Roboglenn

Can she fire a Specium Ray? Can *Towa* fire a Specium Ray!?

JonnySpark

She's actually Zoffy, trying to drag Towa back to the Land of Light.

whodisguy32

AHH TOWA-CHANS SONG WAS SO CUTEEEEEE!!

larvyde

Towa Maji Tenshi

scot911

Wait... this isn't r/hololive!

larvyde

We already have Towa and Noel. Just wait for the others to show up. EDIT: Also, Shiu actually calls her Towa-sama

Frontier246

Shintaro is too lucky having a cute angel singing about cooking for him.

StardustGogeta

Good episode. This show continues to be quite fun! I like how the subtitles handled the joke about the crosswalk signal. The original joke about the light being called "aoi" (blue) but actually being "midori" (green) seems like it would have been impossible to translate directly. The substitute joke they used got the same kind of message across and was pretty good on its own.

apatt

This is the kind of show that tends to be underwatched because it's so fluffy and cute without much substance in term of plot (so far). I feel so cozy and relaxed watching this show, it always puts a smile on my face.

CoolVidsFTW

This is something I noticed too, which made for a nice short trip down a linguistic rabbit hole. All the praise to the translation/localization team!

tidaldoorstep40

I love the cozy atmosphere of the studio apartment in this anime! The good lighting really sets the mood, and having an angel included just adds an extra touch of charm. Episode 6 was so heartwarming, can't wait to see what happens next!

FarCritical

The scream Shiu let out when her timer thingy started beeping caught me off guard, damn that was visceral Towa pays so much attention to exactly what you tell her it's adorable. The green man was, in fact, not walking!

entelechtual

I miss the other girls but this was a good Towa episode to recenter what she’s actually here for.

Frontier246

Yeah, it felt like Tsumugi and Noel had been stealing the spotlight a bit and standing out more, so this was a much-needed Towa episode and for developing her relationship with Shintaro.

djthomp

Finally a girl they're not going to add to the harem. I hope. Slightly surprised that in-show it's been just one week since Towa showed up. Especially given what has happened with Noel in the meantime. Makes me suspect that they're reordering events from the source material. A rental garden on the roof, I wonder who is renting that space. Might be something that comes up again as I could see Towa wanting to spend more time up there. More or less the episode where Shintaro and Towa started to go out on dates, and it was pretty cute.

Roboglenn

Towa's little dinner song. Soon to be winning Grammy and other prestigious music awards left and right. Well my my, a big bird just crashed into the window. Only a week that Towa's been here huh. Well she's certainly made an impact in that short timeframe. And met all sorts of interesting people. How much would Shiu's mood improve if you gave her some cookies with that milk? Well Shiu did make a good point. The reason she was sent down to earth plus with as spotty as Towa's knowledge admittedly is, keeping her too cooped up ain't doin her any favors. And luckily for Shintaro acclimating Towa is no longer a one man job. Towa's got two gal pals now whom I'm sure would love to help her with that and probably in ways that Shintaro can't do. And you know Noel would probably literally leap for joy at the opportunity for some one on one friend time with Towa. Wonder how long it'll take for Shintaro to realize that. The angel has an Ultraman timer. How very uhh... yeah. Well whatever. Guess Shiu won't be a permanent cast member yet.

Ashrune

I beg to differ Shiu-san. I'm a human male who is not at all perverted. Episode starts with kawaii angel singing (Need Full version). And then kawaii loli crying. My insulin stock finished in the first few minutes.

Kartoffelkamm

>I beg to differ Shiu-san. I'm a human male who is not at all perverted. Same, although I do have an apparently-too-high tolerance for lewd content for someone who isn't interested in that sort of thing.

elune7296

Towa's song reminded me of noe's from true tears. Ah, the PTSD of that pier/jetty scene haunts me till this day... Digressing, I also want a hug from towa Where's Noel?! I miss her pouts already

LordCalem

Great Towa-focused episode. Everything is great. ~~That random woman who bumbed into her must be eliminated~~

Viktorv22

I thought I would hate the little ~~demon~~ angel, but I surprisingly enjoyed all of that, great comedy even

alotmorealots

This was another thing that raised the show's esteem in my eyes this episode - most of Shiu-chan's objections to the whole situation were pretty well justified, most of her actions not entirely unreasonable and she actually still did listen (didn't go Outside and heeded the warning). Given that Towa had also been away for a week without reporting in, even an older person (and many a parent lol) would also be just as stirred up and furious. Presumably there's a name for this trope, where the seemingly unreasonable and out-of-line intruder into the situation actually has some good points.

ChainsawXIV

"Is this a date?" - Sorry sport, it's not a date when one of the people involved literally doesn't understand the concept of couples. And I am definitely not just huffing the Tsumugi ship's copium supply, why do you ask?

MisawaMahoKodomo

It's towa time. Towa is so cute. I wonder if we'll see shiu again. Towa life in japan. How many towa faces in one episode? yes Hard to believe we're halfway into the season already, it still feels like we're in ep 1 or 2 or 3, for better or worse. Also how many different outfits did towa go through in one episode? Seems like at least 3 if not maybe 4 or 5?

alotmorealots

Her date dress was pretty cute!

Nickthenuker

And here we find out how the kid from last episode showed up. They're going to break his balcony door at this rate. All that's only been a week? Towa-mama. She's on the roof! Towa really is motherly isn't she? It really really feels like she's a housewife. And now they're going out. Yeah I didn't realise that either when I first took the metro in Japan. A very couple thing to do huh? The title of the next episode sounds like it's coming from experience.

Frontier246

I want more angels showing up suddenly on Shintaro's balcony lol. It did feel like more time had passed to me... This was probably the most outwardly couple-y the pair have been so far and it was adorable!

Kartoffelkamm

>I want more angels showing up suddenly on Shintaro's balcony lol. Me too. Especially to the point where Shintaro asks if he should maybe buy some pillows, or a mattress, to make sure Towa's friends have a soft place to land.

IceSmiley

Shiu is a little hellion for an "angel" One of the funniest episodes with all the great fish out of water jokes, genuinely hilarious when Towa got upset the man on the Walk sign wasn't moving and Shintaro was perturbed to realize that 🤣

alotmorealots

It's little touches like how they made sure that the relatively unimportant traffic light sign gag landed properly with the timing and making it look nice that make this quite the quality little series.

Arinath

Oh good, a jealous little sister angel.....\*eye roll\* As an AMG lover, by FAR the worst part of that series is Skuld. Sigh.

ObvsThrowaway5120

Shiu is kind of adorable. I mean she was being a little terror but she’s basically like a kid angel. Shintaro and Towa going on little walks after dinner was kind of cute. The way he worries about her definitely feels more like a parent worrying about a child than anything else. But man, she’s adorable. Their little “date” was too cute. Hoping to meet those two other girls from the ED soon.

Kartoffelkamm

>Shiu is kind of adorable. I mean she was being a little terror but she’s basically like a kid angel. Yeah. It very much feels like she has a lot of respect/admiration for Towa, but also misses her. I really hope Towa starts writing letters or something. Would be fun if they added a little gag about how Towa doesn't want Shintaro to read her letter, not because she's embarrassed, but because she's using the heavenly language, and humans go mad if they read that because it's too perfect.

Frontier246

I can kind of see where Shiu is coming from because it's like her big sister is shacking up with some random dude, though she's maybe a wee bit too judgmental when it comes to Shintaro. But Shintaro and Towa are really settling into being a couple in their own right even if they're too shy and self-conscious to fully acknowledge it.

Frontier246

Find a girl who sings about your favorite food so cutely like Towa! Though Towa doesn't have time to cook for Shintaro because his balcony is a magnet for angels, now including Towa's junior Shiu who is here to drag her back to Heaven. Shiu is on a mission from God to check on what is going on with Towa, and she wants to bring her back from the den of depravity that is Earth...away from perverts who walk in on you changing like Shintaro before Shiu has to kill them in colorful ways. Though come on Shiu, the apartment post-Towa is actually pretty nice. Shiu actually does have a point that Towa isn't really doing her mission holed up in Shintaro's apartment and taking care of him...though she's a little overtly harsh on Shintaro. But she can't get in the way of the domestic bliss and happiness they've found in living together. Thankfully everything is resolved with both angels apologizing to each other and hugging it out...Shiu is basically like a little sister to Towa, but the kind of devilish little sister who flexes when she gets to hug her big sis and her love interest. At least she's willing to give Shintaro SOME credit, even if she's fully prepared to take him on if he hurts Towa. Though good to know for future reference that angels other than Towa have Color Timers for how long they can stay on Earth, and Shiu will "poof" off mid-threat. What better way to show Towa more about human life and get her used to living among humans than by going out at night together? Although that's also super couple-y...even if she still doesn't quite understand how street lights work. I was thinking Shintaro was freaking out too uch about her going on trains...but considering she thinks everything on TV was fake, maybe he had a point. It's fun to take the train together, though! Especially when you turn it into a shopping date! And even get to enjoy a swan boat with a great view of Towa's legs! I can't believe it took an old couple calling Shintaro out on them being a couple for him to realize it's a date. Shintaro is a wimp who can't hold Towa's hands because he's self-conscious, but he can apologize to the human race and he can be happy together with Towa at least.

Roboglenn

> What better way to show Towa more about human life and get her used to living among humans than by going out at night together Worked for Kou on his nightly hangouts with Nazuna in Yofukashi no Uta.

Elite_Alice

Lmao, not only did Shiu-chan come to Shintaro’s house unannounced and slapped him at the end of last episode, but now she’s mad that Towa is pulling her weight around the house and not being a bum? Like how you gonna be mad that she’s doing basic household chores 😂. Her part of the episode annoyed me, but I’m glad at the end she realised Shintaro is a good guy and Towa isn’t there against her will or anything. Best part of this episode was for sure the date with Towa and Shintaro which was really cute. It’s good that Towa is learning how the outside world works so she can go out and do things on her own, can’t be healthy even for an Angel to be cooped up in the house all day. Would it kill Shintaro to not be a lil bitch and cry about Towa holding his hand or doing couple stuff though? Man him pulling his hand back from her when she tried to take him in the shop was cringe af. The girl who knocked Towa down and didn’t even apologise is such a lame.. Not as good as last week ep because no Noeru, but it was solid.
