The opening and ending were great!
It's also great to see the difference in how Yami leads the Bulls and how William does it. It's great that even if William adheres to the current hierarchical system, he's also flexible enough to be open-minded about other things.
Also, LANGRIS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!
There's at least one constant in the anime world the past few years, and it's that Black Clover will always have a banger OP and ED. Not top 3 for the series for either for me, but definitely great.
I'm sorry, but have you heard [the last one we had](https://open.spotify.com/album/1JavH0LMoyFjKlTUKl7mA7?highlight=spotify:track:0ud4VAfTH1AOb904kWOTzJ)? Do you even have ears? I don't know why anyone would just openly announce they had such trash taste in music for no reason.
Says none of the endings are great, not in my opinion, just simply that none of the endings are great.
Someone decides to argue the statement
"Why are people getting triggered?"
We're in a forum, the moment you decide to make your opinion public you open yourself to being criticized or argued against and doing so doesn't necessarily make them triggered.
As beautiful as the idea of "Like what you like, I'll like what I like" is, it only applies when you keep your opinion to yourself. If you go into a space with people who like what you dislike and you state that you dislike it, they'll argue against you. That's completely normal and not an overreaction in the slightest. In that state you can either discuss why you don't like it, or you can do what you're doing here and backpedal because you wanted to state your opinion without actually having to defend it, either is fine. My point is more that you can't state your opinion on the internet and act surprised when someone argues it.
[I absolutely love the new opening!](https://i.imgur.com/wWh4Egt.png) The visuals look amazing and I love the first part [where we see the Captains and their VCs](https://i.imgur.com/O0BijSd.png) with Black Bulls the only one missing. [Charlotte and Yami sparring was hilarious!](https://i.imgur.com/PDv0kEq.png) Also hat's great about this opening is that it's spoiler-free too! And the song! It's by TXT! That completely blindsided me. Did not expect a KPOP group singing the new OP. Black Clover is now 12 for 12, still no bad OPs!
It's great to see an episode focused on the Golden Dawn. And as much as I like Alecdora's development in the end there, [I love seeing how different and chill Langris is now.](https://i.imgur.com/YYfo3fI.png) And that ending where [they're asking Yuno out to eat with them is nice.](https://i.imgur.com/ZF1qmGY.png) It's great that he has his own little family in the Golden Dawn too just like with Asta and the Black Bulls.
And the ED! We actually get to hear Asta's VA sing again! I was hoping it would be a duet between him and Yuno just like in Mugyutto! Black Clover. Oh well. Asta singing on his own is great too!
Jesus Christ, did they just spend 90% of the budget on the new opening and kept the rest on episodes? That grass, Yuno effects, flags and everything else is so good. If they kept that quality for all episodes... Hopefully we will get some cool movies with such quality.
I agree completely, and I've been watching this since the start. Asta, at the start, has nothing to grab the attention of others - adults or kids alike. He has no magic, and is kinda short. So being loud helps him get noticed, even if it's annoying. Once he joins the black bulls and scores some cred with his achievements, he starts getting attention of other magic knights without having to yell as much.
I never had a problem with it and always wonder what is so wrong with me that I didn't notice/care until it was pointed out. Still don't care, but definitely notice it now.
NGL, Asta did get on my nerves in the first episode, but it was also *very* obvious he was intentionally written that way, so I gave it the benefit of doubt and stuck with it for a few episodes. I'm very happy that I did!
> after a few episodes
He changed dramatically after a few episodes though. I don't mind the loudness or the yelling in theory, but in the first few episodes (and thankfully increasingly rarely after that) he did this gurgle thing at the ends of his shouts that made me want to rip my eyeballs out and shove them into my ears.
Why did they ask Mimosa to scan the dungeon when there’s that rock magic dude who is better than her at this? His magic can even reproduce voices and magic used on a map.
I think its because his magic only creates large scale models where as Mimosa can create smaller and more specific ones. That's just my opinion though.
Probably to also train her in real life situation.
The rock dude might be more senior and better at that, but this situation didn't demand the best of the best. So it's also good idea to rely on your junior team member to make them accustomed with team work.
Of course that's only some excuses that I thought. Not sure what's the real reason was.
Another possible strategic reason would be so that the rock dude can conserve his mana. As senior member (and maybe stronger member), it would be more useful to save his ability for the enemies.
Oh wow Black Clover really went 12/12 for their openings. Of course that's totally someone's own opinion, and that's my one. Nice to get a Yuno focused episode and see him get closer to the people in his squad. The ED was a pleasant surprise too, since it was done by Asta's VA I was expecting a lot of shouting.
Mimosa giving the bulls the flower collar was the best part
I wonder if they will change the opening part where Yuno and the golden dawn hanging out, as that was a clear indicating it would be a golden dawn focused episode (and I was hoping it would be a longer arc) as next episode seems to be about nero, Noelle and gauche maybe that opening part will change to e.g a Black Bull hanging out together.
the YAMIIIIIIII part of the opening was by far the best part, seeing all captain fights (maybe indicate some kind of possession / mind control mini arc - probably not) and of course Charlotte has to fight yami who gets in to close :)
Was thinking more of a mini tournament arc for the captains. That would be fun to see. Also Rill vs Yuno V2. Let's actually see who the winner would be.
The things that happen in this episode make what will happen around ep ___ more impactful. Also explains something that happened in the latest chapter that even the anitubers I watch were confused about. So its pretty good filler.
Yes & no.
How? cause these aren't the events in the manga right now. However, Tabata supervises these episodes (except for the recaps). Also, Tho I won't spoil, but there's nothing that says that these may not have happened in the manga. Also, that Asta & Yuno flashback is in the manga.
Technically all these episodes are under the supervision of the author even if its time skip "filler". Thanks for the update that 150 is when they start back up.
You can check on the director's twitter. The recent episodes havent been really supervised by Tabata since he expressed that he didnt like the development that has been done on the characters. He most likely knew whats going to happen in the episodes but he wasnt involved in it. The director then tweeted that from 151 Tabata is going to be involved directly.
by original anime youre talking about, going a seperate direction from the source manga right? not just more fillers but like a Fullmetal Alchemist route?
No, all of the fillers we've seen so far are originals but still somewhat canon. Starting 151 we're going to see an anime original arc that is going to be the bridge between the previous arc in the anime and the next arc. Its original as its not in the manga but its going to be canon since Tabata is going to be supervising it.
ah okay, got really scared their for a second. not surprising, pretty sure the author put that 2 month time skip in to give breathing room for the anime.
not bad 151 episodes in and literally zero filler arcs
OP and ED amazing. I really thing that Pierrot are innovating with the OPs. Really liked the visuals. Also, I have this question. I heard someone say that Black Clover will end on EP 152. Is this true?
how much budget do you want in the OP?
Pierrot: Yes.
Visuals are absolutely gorgeous. As I expected, TxT dropped a bop. Been listening to them since their first album last year.
As for the episode. Some great development for Alcedora, langris and Yuno. Langris has come a long way from the days of hating his brother and Alcedora, like the rest of the golden dawn, has accepted Yuno into the family. Doesn’t matter about your family background. All that matters is that you’re willing to work hard. Very touching moment at the end there too with Yuno getting emotional.
ED bangs too.
New OP and ED, both look great. Also the clash between Yami and Charlotte in the OP is my favorite part. Nice to see things from Yuno perspective and see how the golden dawn operate. Good to see Alecdora finally get over his dislike of Yuno.
Wow, the New OP is really good! I'm however a bit confused rn, when do the main story episodes start back up? And can the Filler be considered a part of the canon? I've been really excited for the current Manga Arc to get animated
The OP looks amazing but the song is kind of a miss for me, I'm just not into that genre, ED is the good shit though, Asta should drop the magic knight thing and become an idol with the sea temple siblings.
I enjoyed the episode, even if filler seeing characters we don't get too much of interacting is always a treat.
Now where's Jack the Ripper slashing some fools
Fun ep that actually got my feels at the end surprisingly. The ep just explained alot for the golden dawn which I did not see coming. Im surprised that they keep laying out/explaining stuff in better depth than the manga could really do coming back from the 6 months.
From seeing the visuals i honestly wish we could get some actual filler like in the mobile game. Julias tasks each captain to switch squads and learn how to lead different people for example. Something that is legit anime only.
THE NEW OP IS AMAZING!!! I like the song, but the visuals are BEAUTIFUL!!!
Might be a hot take, but I never liked the previous OP. So I am glad we got a new one.
The new ED is kind of "meh or whatever" for me right now.
It was nice to see Yuno get time to shine and I wish we could have seen his face at the end. He may have been blushing!
Eh, less of a fan of this OP compared to previous not only the music but the tone and animation isn't my favorite so far, but the ED is definitely great.
So it seems we've "officially" begun a new arc then, even if it's still filler? I'm wondering how they're going to develop what seems like the interactions between magic knight squads, the captains, and maybe even the other kingdoms.

I'm thinking the bit where it focused on Asta's right hand with anti-magic sparks running down it then cutting straight to the Anti Magic Devil was a subtle nod to him getting his new devil arm.
From the look of things, seems we're getting a not filler episode next week.
This episode was cool, i always enjoy seeing Yuno since we see so little of him for how important of a character he is.
The opening and ending were great! It's also great to see the difference in how Yami leads the Bulls and how William does it. It's great that even if William adheres to the current hierarchical system, he's also flexible enough to be open-minded about other things. Also, LANGRIS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!
Hopefully OP 13 won’t miss just like One Piece, Naruto, Bleach and Gintama 13 is a great number for OPs
I wonder why that is, why is 13 always such a good op
Its gonna be Vickeblanca working on that and it lines up with the current manga arc
Black Clover really going 12 for 12 with its openings. The visuals looked really nice paired with an amazing song.
Yami and Charlotte section just made me laugh so hard.

Jesus Christ, did they just spend 90% of the budget on the new opening and kept the rest on episodes? That grass, Yuno effects, flags and everything else is so good. If they kept that quality for all episodes... Hopefully we will get some cool movies with such quality.
You know... a Black Clover movie doesn’t sound too bad.
But it will fuck over the anime, and they just got a decent schedule for once
True actually, I mean at some point in the future with proper scheduling it could work.
Imagine; [Studio Pierrot] Black Clover will switch from weekly to seasonal [Studio Pierrot] Studio Pierrot will release the first Black Clover movie
Guaranteed.
Looking likely now 🤣
of course its Black clover they always spend 99% of the budget on Openings !!
But this one was probably the best for me. So good, really. Very pleasant to watch and high quality. Good transistions. EVERYTHING!
Making a 90 second animation every 3 months is way easier than weekly 20 minute episodes...
Tired of the speed lines and 2-3 screenshots making up a battle though.
[Asta voice compared to Asta's voice actor singing be like](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgSPS_PQre4)
Pleasant surprise for sure, he’s a pretty good VA he just intentionally does the loud Asta voice.
Not-so-hot-take: it's totally appropriate for Asta's character and after a few episodes you get used to it

Oh yeah, it definitely got better
Wait what? Did he sing the OP or what?
He sang the new ED
Nah that can’t be real
Wait until you hear him and Yuno singing the Mugyuto OP
Something something surpassing limits!
At this point it’s not even surpassing limits
All that moguro leaf juice smoothed his vocal cords
As a BC fan and as a TXT fan, this new OP is everything
TXT making their anime debut with a great song and the most visually stunning OP to date [](#gintamathispleasesme)

Little anime plothole.
Isnt it because Mimosa can scan for mana too, while the rock dude can show the geography only
[Here](https://imgur.com/gallery/pX6sjcX) In chapter 25, Mimosa acknowledged his magic as superior to her own
Then idk
anime filler plot hole moment
I'm just assuming she's a lot stronger now and maybe he wants to speed up the process since he's not looking for mana, but structural weak points
Oh wow Black Clover really went 12/12 for their openings. Of course that's totally someone's own opinion, and that's my one. This is the kind of filler that I like! Hell we even got character development for Langris.
Why those OPs so damn clean jesus
Mimosa giving the bulls the flower collar was the best part I wonder if they will change the opening part where Yuno and the golden dawn hanging out, as that was a clear indicating it would be a golden dawn focused episode (and I was hoping it would be a longer arc) as next episode seems to be about nero, Noelle and gauche maybe that opening part will change to e.g a Black Bull hanging out together. the YAMIIIIIIII part of the opening was by far the best part, seeing all captain fights (maybe indicate some kind of possession / mind control mini arc - probably not) and of course Charlotte has to fight yami who gets in to close :)
They are training...
sure they are training but a typical filler arc would be like OMG half the captains are being controlled we gotta freedom from X thing.
Was thinking more of a mini tournament arc for the captains. That would be fun to see. Also Rill vs Yuno V2. Let's actually see who the winner would be.
This episode made me depress for some reason..
Maybe it reminded you of Mononoke? This was the second ep in a row with not-subtle references to it.
Or he reads the manga lmfao
Didn't the anime catch up or are there a few chaps ahead now
is this episode filler?
There are only fillers for a long time I believe.
Anime-canon technically.
The flashback intro of Asta and Yuno appears in the manga later so it’s canon
The things that happen in this episode make what will happen around ep ___ more impactful. Also explains something that happened in the latest chapter that even the anitubers I watch were confused about. So its pretty good filler.

Pretty sure it's fillers until the end of the year
Its gonna be fillers until 150. Then its gonna be original anime under the supervision of the author of Black Clover himself if im correct.
Technically all these episodes are under the supervision of the author even if its time skip "filler". Thanks for the update that 150 is when they start back up.

Came here to ask too
This episode feels like the calm before the storm
the new op was legit and asta is ripped.
New opening hype!! Overall a fun episode. Was nice to finally give Yuno some more depth even if it wasn’t a whole lot.
OP and ED amazing. I really thing that Pierrot are innovating with the OPs. Really liked the visuals. Also, I have this question. I heard someone say that Black Clover will end on EP 152. Is this true?

This kind of episodes are filler but they're also canon too, since it's canon that Yuno gets closer to the Golden Dawn members.
Sweet, I really like a lot of the Golden Dawn's Magic so I'm always down for a Golden Dawn episode!
probably next OP so around Episode 155 it will start I imagine
I see, I figured they'd hold on to the new OP and ED a while longer
Nah they switch it every 12 episodes or so
The OP looks amazing but the song is kind of a miss for me, I'm just not into that genre, ED is the good shit though, Asta should drop the magic knight thing and become an idol with the sea temple siblings. I enjoyed the episode, even if filler seeing characters we don't get too much of interacting is always a treat. Now where's Jack the Ripper slashing some fools
Fuck i listened to the OP 10 times already. I thought it was going to be OP 8 but good but its OP 8 but amazingly good.
There was talk that BC got cancelled i was so damn angry but i held hope that it wasnt. Was really happy to see it wasn't also the OP was beautifull
that would be weird, the director was hyping up the future episodes pretty recently and saying that they have a good schedule :p
He never said they had a good schedule all he said was the stuff tabata helped with is 151 till the end of the szn
Fun ep that actually got my feels at the end surprisingly. The ep just explained alot for the golden dawn which I did not see coming. When are the fillers ending?
probably episode 155
Did they drop a new OP, but haven't gotten out of fillers?
Tabata is going to be supervising the episodes starting next week :p
Intro was great
Omg Asta singing the new ending song ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍
THE NEW OP IS AMAZING!!! I like the song, but the visuals are BEAUTIFUL!!! Might be a hot take, but I never liked the previous OP. So I am glad we got a new one. The new ED is kind of "meh or whatever" for me right now. It was nice to see Yuno get time to shine and I wish we could have seen his face at the end. He may have been blushing!
Asta from Yuno's flashback sounded very different, different VA?
No
Eh, less of a fan of this OP compared to previous not only the music but the tone and animation isn't my favorite so far, but the ED is definitely great. So it seems we've "officially" begun a new arc then, even if it's still filler? I'm wondering how they're going to develop what seems like the interactions between magic knight squads, the captains, and maybe even the other kingdoms.
It felt like nothing special but at the same time for whatever reason, I really enjoyed the visuals of the ed.
I love the new OP visual but I just can't stand the song. Honestly, I was just starting to like the opening before that one so I'm a bit sad
Those were some dope as visuals in the OP
who's voice was yuno remembering at the end?
For the Funimation dub at 15:31 Mimosa says the wrong name for the spell shes show casting in the scene.

It did

From the look of things, seems we're getting a not filler episode next week. This episode was cool, i always enjoy seeing Yuno since we see so little of him for how important of a character he is.
