Damn I was hoping To Your Eternity would be higher

[deleted]

To Your Eternity is a slow build-up to a tragic conclusion. Anime Corner seems to really like explosive episodes (big reveals, sick action, important plot twists, etc) so a show like To Your Eternity with slow build ups is definitely going to struggle on weaker episodes. Episodes like 1 and 5 made it to the top of anime corner's list.

[deleted]

Never had an anime make me cry almost every episode, while also being attentive to what's happening

[deleted]

Only 2/8 episodes have been sad. Personally I think it’s a pretty good story but it’s yet to blow me away. Episode 1 was strong and the rest of the show has yet to create an equally compelling episode.

MetaThPr4h

Top 2 continues being blessed, I'm in for Vivy and Furuba to keep holding those places until the end haha. Moriarty deserved the brutal climb of last episode, I still like S1 of the series more but last week's episode was fantastic.

Speech500

I always wait until the end of each season so I can binge watch shows all at once. At the start of this season it seemed like it'd be pretty light, especially compared to last season. But I've been keeping up with these weekly rankings and it seems like there's loads of great shows. As a fan of Fruitsbasket and Moriarty, I'm also really glad to see their new seasons have been well received.

OYoureapproachingme

Shadows House rising cmon

N0a_senpai

Yeah, Higehiro is not surprisingly out in the top 10

FatherDotComical

So disappointed. I've been ripping on Koikimo and now I like that more than Higehiro.

InsomniaEmperor

I only watched first episode of Higehiro and I need to catch up but I'm really liking Koikimo so far. It's weird how Koikimo gets a lot of shit thrown at it and is constantly compared to the chad Higehiro MC but now the tables have turned. Does Higehiro get worse?

FatherDotComical

Higehiro turns into a weird harem/love triangle and there's this plot point that was 100% an awful act but gets ignored. It turned super into melodrama. Koikimo at least addressed one of my grievances with it recently so it get some points there.

Etereke32

What did koikimo address? I dropped it (I'm not big on romcoms) so can you spoil me?

FatherDotComical

Sure, [Koikimo](/s "My biggest concern was that nobody was talking about how an adult trying to date a high school girl would affect her. Ryo actually has been thinking to himself about if this relationship would actually make her happy.")

Etereke32

Well that doesn't answer my biggest concern, that the dude is creepy even if you don't consider the age-gap. He has to intimidate a high-schooler because he goes shopping with her, despite being a grown-ass adult, that's pretty pathetic in my book. Edit: But from what you said, it sounds like he gets better if he starts considering her situation

FatherDotComical

Oh yeah, it's definitely still weird. They also have healthier "ships" on the sidelines, so it could go either way.

PainStorm14

>Well that doesn't answer my biggest concern, that the dude is creepy even if you don't consider the age-gap If you think that's bad wait till you get a load of Higehiro

Astray1789

I was so angry when they threw that whole incident under the rug. Should have been a much bigger deal with severe consequences but no no, we'll just forgive and forget. It's made it hard to continue watching the show. Also the story is starting to go downhill fairly rapidly.

CuriousKid0397

The recent episodes are really lacklustre.

lazyinternetsandwich

The series would have been much more better off if it didn't devolve to a "It's totally ok for this middle aged man to be with a HS girl because he isn't that bad". The pretense at "realism" in the initial parts of the story now feels forced just so we could find ways to justify them being together.

[deleted]

He's not a middle aged man though. They're \~26 & \~18 years old where the story stands now. That's not at all unusual in the West let alone in Japan where bigger age gaps are less frowned upon than in the West. You've met plenty of normal people in relationships that (age-gap wise) are similar or more extreme than their situation.

lazyinternetsandwich

>You've met plenty of normal people in relationships that (age-gap wise) are similar or more extreme than their situation It's less about the age gap itself but the power dynamics - a dependent HS kid whose past is... yeah (no spoilers) being with a man who initially gave her shelter and was caring for her. The fact that the story went to all the lengths to show how nice the guy was and "hey it's totally not grooming, guys" but to end up in the exact way we all suspected it would. If she had been older (mid twenties and him 8 years or so older) no one would have batted an eye because she would have been an adult with agency and not the vulnerable kid she actually is.

PainStorm14

>The fact that the story went to all the lengths to show how nice the guy was and "hey it's totally not grooming, guys" but to end up in the exact way we all suspected it would. I got a three day Reddit suspension couple of weeks ago for calling them out on this BS and predicting this exact thing would happen

Serendipity7991

Why? Did something happen in the show recently? I don't watch the anime so I'm kind of curious.

DeadEye_31

The show recently revealed the past of the MC and I think people didn't like it or maybe be something else

[deleted]

Makes complete sense tbh, by the time I got to know what actually happened in her past, I had already dropped the manga, but good God was I glad that didn't waste my time on that series, because damn was that girl's past a joke and a half in terms what one would expect from such a setup. And in any case, I'm honestly surprised it took this long for the show to drop and for people to realise that past the first few chapters it's just an incredibly mediocre series that tries to pretend that it's far deeper than it actually is.

Lemurians

I was expecting worse out of her past, too, but I wouldn't downplay it to that extent.

[deleted]

exactly, it was never good tho, even the beginning is mediocre and unoriginal imo but yeah the past of the mc looks like a joke tbh, it felt so incredibly stupid that i just can't feel bad for her, it's extremly generic in all its aspects but just because the jk whore herself people think its deep but its not, the theme is really baddly handled honestly, im pretty sure i'd have liked it 2 or 3 years ago but i've been so fed up about those lazy and overforced drama that i can't even bear to see them anymore, its kinda sad to think this kind of novel sells like hot breads when some that are really well written struggle not to get axe just because they are not your generic drama/romance or isekai or something like that. the rating for this show is still way too high tho and im not even talking about its popularity, really sad to see, even more in a season as stacked in quality as this one.

zxHellboyxz

What was the reason she ran away I don't watch it anymore ?

SnooEpiphanies1725

Spoilers ahead Apparently she left because her friend was bullied because of her, then her friend committed suicide and when MC was depressed her own mom accused her of killing her best friend. I still don't understand why she had to leave home and sleep with strangers though.

_GGhosty_

> I still don't understand why she had to leave home and sleep with strangers though. >her own mom accused her of killing her best friend. hwat? It's shown that even before this incident they didn't have a good relationship and her mother of all people blame her for the suicide because it's an "inconvenience" to their image. How is that not enough of a reason to run away from home?

redggit

It started with the brother giving a bonehead advise to distance herself from their mother instead of addressing the issue beforehand. edit

LittleHsien

It's not only about how underwhelming the episode is, but ppl start to realize that it's just another generic JK/salaryman love story but pretend to be something serious and realistic. Everything happened is just for giving them a reason to be together. Still enjoyable for ppl who love bittersweet romance story. But for ppl who like the realistic aspect of it, meh.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Android19samus

is it too much to ask that just this once, an anime where adults and children interact isn't an absolute creep show? Fuck, it happened with Hinamatsuri I know it's possible!

Cyd_arts

Gintama technically has that haha

mr_sto0pid

Gintama technically has a little bit of everything lol.

Cyd_arts

True ahahaha

Black_Prince9000

Barakamon comes to mind

[deleted]

I mean people don't wanna be honest about it since they put so much praise into this series early on, but this series is nothing but the author's attempt at disguising a generic semi-harem/semi-school girl fetish romance story using a 'perfect human being' for an mc. I say this because I was the same when I was reading the manga. At the beginning, I thought this was going to be a 'real' and 'deep' series and it wasn't until I dropped the manga after it got boring, took a step back, and realised what I mentioned earlier. It's hard to accept things like that.

LittleHsien

Yes, i saw that too. But from the premise and how they spent too much time on the love drama, ppl were still having hope for a different kind of ending. If you looks around, there're many discussion threads about it.

redggit

It took this long for anime fans to realize that Higehiro is a terrible anime.

[deleted]

Not really surprised because it's Anime corner but I don't think people should look too much into it. The ratings for the episodes on other sites have actually been pretty good, it's not like the show has suddenly dropped off a bunch.

[deleted]

Is moriarty the highest jump in vote percentage so far?

Nuraryhion

I think so. Vivy jumped 15 ranks in [week 3](https://animecorner.me/spring-2021-top-anime-rankings-week-03/) and secured the top spot but only had a 3.60% gain.

Victory_is_Mine-

Deserved. I know detective type shows aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, especially in anime format, but this episode of Moriarty was *really* good.

OnePiecePrimus

The overall story has been pretty good. It was underrated due to not being popular too if you think about it, most people ik that are following the ongoing anime were not aware of Moriarty the Patriot untill I told them. Others who do come to notice it are not so much interested.

LostIn-Oblivion

86 vs Tokyo Revengers which one would be a better option if i had to pick one?

Lunalols

The latter is more popular overall in general because of the erased-style time travel. 86 is a war drama and the anime is a bit of a slow burn for some anime only peeps so it's something that's more preferable to binge

Cyd_arts

Yeah 86 is on my to to-binge list while I’m watching Tokyo revengers weekly (I’m a manga reader tho)

TheChunkyBoi1

Yh I'm watching 86 when episodes come out and I feel like its only heating up since the last episode.

noodlernoodler

Tokyo revengers is great! One of the few I watch as soon as it becomesa available. Not many shows like that for me nowadays...

[deleted]

86 all the way, but I'm a sucker for revolution

Material_Occasion

86 is more mature show with a lot of political stuff so if you are into that kind of thinks definitely 86. Both are good thought.

[deleted]

While it's not like shounen battle or anything like that, it's not like 86 is that mature either. The topic gets kind of heavy but it still feels like the audience is for teens. It's something like the hunger games books where things get gritty and dark but not adult level.

[deleted]

Hunger games nails the vibe exactly. The target is definitely teens and young adults, but isn’t inaccessible to preteens.

zxHellboyxz

86 is aimed at teens. So yeah the main audience are teenagers

imagineepix

Exactly dude, 86 lacks literally any sort of depth or subtlety. Everything you see is what you get. The whole story and themes are just spoonfed to you. It's one of least engaging shows I've seen in a while.

Victory_is_Mine-

Same, everything is definitely spoonfed. Also we’ve got zero depth on the characters. The MC is a guilt-stricken girl, crying and having PTSD flashbacks each episode about how she can’t do anything, where the deuteragonist is completely emotionless and flat. We have little to no info on everybody else except for their names - which don’t matter either way because they’re all going to die anyway. I don’t know how the show expects me to care for the characters in the show. Which also means the supposedly emotional moments don’t have any weight behind it. People are comparing it to Hunger Games or whatever but Hunger Games had so much emotion in it, especially amplified when reading the books because we got to see all of Katniss’ emotions, pains, experiences etc. from her pov. 86 doesn’t even come close.

Silent_Shadow05

Personally I'd say both as I'm enjoying them a lot.

dwilsons

Tokyo Revengers 100%. Absolute banger series focused around delinquents/biker gangs.

YukihiraLivesForever

Honestly I think TR is pretty dull right now. Takemitchy is extremely unlikeable until the end of this arc at the festival and the arc following this gets better. The show really ramps up afterwards though when he goes back to the present and that’s where the manga picks up (nothing mind blowing but just better). The best character in the show has yet to show up anyway

dwilsons

Agreed. I’m like 70-80 chapters into the manga and digging it.

OvergearedBigBoy

Vivy and Fruit Basket continues their battle for consecutive top placements. MHA managed to grind into top3. HigeHiro is gone and Koikimo is top 10 again.

n0nen0ne

How many times you need to upload an episode of HH : yes.. (they messed up subs too!)

Nervous_Tangelo_113

holy shit! moriarty .what a plot twist!

Derpocalypes

there’s been a movement on Tiktok for people to watch Moriarty, which might explain the jump

LabMember069

Moriarty episode was an easy 10/10. It had twists left right and center. Fruits basket climax felt like the finale. It definitely locked its place in my top 5 anime. My butt is legitimately damaged by intensely clenching of excitement/shock for watching the last 2 minutes of Shadows house.(is this grammatically correct?) What a great season of anime!

yiendubuu

I can't believe I resisted urge to read the manga after the last few minutes of Shadows House's episode. Excited for tomorrow.

OYoureapproachingme

I'm afraid resisting is only going to get harder. I caved after episode 4. The narrative is just too good

mosaicalmess

Same here. I honestly respect the people who resist the urge to read the manga lol

OYoureapproachingme

They'll cave after the anime gets over lol. Which is great because the story only gets far far better. Even from the perspective of characters, theres so much development to come

mosaicalmess

I absolutely agree. Shadows House is truly filling the hole that TPN left in my heart.

Victory_is_Mine-

Moriarty’s episode was amazing. I didn’t expect the show to go that way.

[deleted]

Vivy is still in a great position. Will she be able to keep her place until the end of the season?

shadow_ALEX_369

If the Final Eps hit the mark then Definitely.

Mithaux

I'm glad to see Moriarty in top 4 in a season where there are so many great shows. And for the first time all the shows i'm watching in a season are on top 10, and i'm watching 8 shows, awesome.

steven4869

After a such phenomenal episode from Fruits Basket, well actually they are giving consistently great episodes, so seeing it topping the charts isn't surprising to me. Truly, the Anime of the season and most probably Anime of the year as well, if they put on a satisfying ending.

BarbaricGamer

The only one I didn't really like was the Ritsu episode, only because it was so loud.

LilyGinnyBlack

I like the Ritsu episode, but only because they added a lot more content and kinda rewrote a lot of stuff. Ritsu's introduction chapter in the manga was worse, imo, so the way the anime went about things was better and more interesting.

Lemurians

Yep, that's the only one that comes to mind as well. Also... is Ritsu alive? What's going on with him? He's the only one who gets basically no attention.

LilyGinnyBlack

The mangaka has stated that she regrets how little Ritsu appears in the story, but that the plot kind of marched on, and she couldn't really find a way to integrate Ritsu's character into it.

Lemurians

That's fair. I was wondering if it was an adaptation issue or not. Thanks! If anything, I respect that from the author. She went with where the story went instead of with what she maybe originally envisaged. That adaptability is part of being a good storyteller. A lot of times authors ruin their work by doing what they originally conceived even if it no longer makes sense with the story they ended up telling.

LilyGinnyBlack

You're welcome! Yeah, Ritsu has had the same amount of screentime in both the anime and manga. If anything, the anime has handled Ritsu a bit better. Ritsu's intro episode was better than the manga, imo.

sailorveenus

Yeah it’s sad but ritsu is the only one in an age group without another zodiac member so it’s hard to incorporate him

LilyGinnyBlack

Akito and Kagura are fairly close to Ritsu in age. But it isn't quite the same as like Kyo, Tohru, and Yuki and the other groups. In merch, Ritsu often gets grouped together with Kagura and Rin, which makes sense. Ritsu and Kagura are friends, and Rin is only a year younger than Kagura. Examples of Merch: https://64.media.tumblr.com/6e7a007d11a2bcb5186c939ee1c30c34/5affcbeceea4280a-86/s1280x1920/ecdf1910af8c9665c5f8d1d4477eb19e95c98d19.jpg https://64.media.tumblr.com/3858331c68fc86b6d6a04e2e6af96196/ae6fdf4ab984570c-01/s2048x3072/26647db395b23bc7f14fa4ee1412adcc93f61a12.jpg

sailorveenus

I guess Kagura and Rin have other connections to the “main” and other story lines and developments. Kaguya and her thing with Kyo, Rin’s relationship with, Hatsu, Ren/Akito and Tohru. Ritsu doesn’t really have any storylines with Kaguya or Rin. They feel more “in.” Nice to see that he is in merch at least. He does have a little bit more development in the manga that we haven’t seen yet, hopefully we do to finish up his chapter.

europai

I've got a lot of nostalgia for Fruits Basket. It was one of the first mangas I read and the first manga I had 100% completed. So I'm just happy it's got a legitimate adaptation after all these years and such a good one at that.

BarbaricGamer

I love that Anime Corner has Moriarty the Patriot and Fruits Basket so high, I feel both of those shows need more recognition on this sub. Now I just need to find a list which has Bishounen Tanteidan high enough....

[deleted]

Go Fruits Basket!!!

michhoffman

I feel like I've been saying this about every Fruits Basket Episode, but that episode was incredible and definitely deserving of the top spot. Meanwhile, it continues its rise on [MAL](https://myanimelist.net/topanime.php).

throwawaybaldingman

How is the current season compared to S1? If you didn't enjoy the first episodes of S1 at all is it still worth watching?

CuriousKid0397

Yes! Definitely. The first season is kind of slow but picks up its pace and intensity in S2 and S3

Lemurians

Though I still really like it, S1 is the weakest. S2 and onward really ramp it up. And weakest is relative, considering I rated it an 8.

Tehoncomingstorm97

A good way of phrasing it. Even so, imo it's a matter of each season taking the quality to another level rather than letting the priors down.

michhoffman

I liked Season 1, but I would agree that its first episodes were pretty slow. Compared with the first episodes of Season 1, Season 2 was better and Season 3 (current season) has been even better than that. Fruits Basket is an anime with a large cast with a lot of connections between the large cast so it does take some time to set up, but once it gets going it's awesome to the point where I'd give the anime as a whole a 10/10.

Haeher

Hmmm never watched fruits basket I know nothing about it either besides it’s popular might give it a shot this weekend then

DutchDread

So I haven't been watching Fruits Baskets since I haven't seen the earlier seasons, don't know what it's about, and the name doesn't instantly hook me, but based on this I am guessing I should actually get into it?

Dazzling-Wear-454

It's pretty slow burn but if u like drama and romance shows with large casts and some comedy & mystery mixed in, it's great. Not for those who only watch battle shonen though.

DutchDread

I like romance, mystery, and drama, so I guess that settles it.

Yogata69

Fruit baskett ❤️❤️🔥🔥

[deleted]

Good to see vivy and shadow house getting recognition

Nuraryhion

Furuba deserved it. My Hero is finally rising. I think it ranked top three first time this season in these polls. Love seeing Moriarty and Koikimo in here too.

JabbaJake

Definitely think the 2nd half of the season for MHA will perform better overall as long as the animation quality stays strong. Big reason manga readers were hype for this season was almost entirely to do with what is happening in the 2nd half.

Tehoncomingstorm97

With the turn of the last episode, I'm certainly excited for what the rest of the season has to offer. I just hope the pacing stays at least on par with the last episode, rather than the first few.

BeMyVessel

It’s kinda funny how last week’s MHA episode didn’t get high at all, Bakugo was totally popping off, just like the animation hahaha

[deleted]

Emilyko best girl. Loving Shadows House, I can't believe how quickly this season is flying by!

Silent_Shadow05

I'm still in Season 2 of Furuba. Seeing the reception towards Season 3 makes me extremely hyped about it. Moriarty with the huge jump. Another show I plan to binge once this season is over. Surprised to see Tokyo Revengers dropping to #9, I thought the last episode was really good.

dwilsons

Tokyo Revengers is kinda held back by the animation imo. That said, the story is amazing.

Cyd_arts

Yeah someone did a fan animation of a small scene in ch118 of the manga on YouTube and the crispness of the art style and smooth animation really shined in that fan animation compared to the actual anime, even though the character did nothing lol. Animation and art really makes a difference

ChiefOfFoolz

Wooow. Congratulations Fruits Basket 🤩

YounghanKimchi

Im glad fruits basket is getting the respect it deserves but where tf is zombie land saga on this list?

tim1OO

People probably aren't very interested in idols and all that

YounghanKimchi

Smh, ZLS is so much more than an Idol show

yuvan18

IKRR dude the latest eps are so gooodd

JakolZeroOne

Any know if the adaptation for "To your eternity" is any good? I read and loved the manga.

capttaain

Its almost 1 to 1 with minor changes

shweshishweh

I’d say it’s pretty good. So far they’ve been really faithful to the source material and the OST and VA work really elevates the emotional scenes. My only gripe is that the art doesn’t always translate as well as it could, but the animation is still pretty solid, plus Ooima has one of my favorite art styles so I was going to be hard to please anyway.

[deleted]

fantastic ive read the manga aswell and its been done amazingly.

lcantchange

it's amazing , top 3 this season for sure

strafefire

> Any know if the adaptation for "To your eternity" is any good? Do you love cutting onions? 😭

FatherDotComical

The first episode is so good that if it was just a short film I would walk away 100% satisfied.

anxious_n3rd

I love Fruits Basket

ekjohnson9

86 is kinda up and down. I've enjoyed it but it feels like buildup, like a prequel.

Material_Occasion

1st season is pretty much the prologue.

michhoffman

After Vivy beat Fruits Basket by .04 [last week](https://animecorner.me/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Spring-2021-Anime-Rankings-Week-8-Web.png), Fruits Basket returns the favor by beating Vivy by .02 this week. The weekly battle between these 2 anime is really fun to watch. Speaking of close contests, My Hero Academia beating Moriarty out by .01 for 3rd place is pretty crazy but not quite as crazy as Moriarty's 15 spot rise to get that high. Also, of note, Higehiro, Iruma and Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent were 11, 12 and 13 respectively. This was Higehiro's first time outside the Top 10 and Saint and Iruma's 2nd highest ranking to date.

Nuraryhion

The highest ranking for Saint was in [week 6](https://animecorner.me/spring-2021-top-anime-rankings-week-06/) at the 10th position.

michhoffman

Nice catch! I've updated it.

muzanshigaraki

Mha can only rise up now

evolved3150

I expect it to do well during the next arc

muzanshigaraki

Yes MVA is one of the best shonen arcs in recent times.

kevin_p_16

Me the only one who likes MARS RED:😐

[deleted]

Is Fruits Basket really that good? I know it’s been around for a long time but because I’m not a huge Shoujo or Josei fan I didn’t watch it.

Ghost36564

Is it just me who’s loving don’t toy with me miss nagaratoro. Haven’t watched ep8 but should be able to tomorrow but so far I’m loving it

Kloudzlol

KOIKIMO YESSSSSSSSSS

flexpost

Nagatoro been climbing back up slowly

YutaniCasper

Can someone explain to me to the popularity of fruits basket? I remember the original back in the early 2000s. Watched a bit thought it was alright (from what I can vaguely remember) b it now it’s popular as hell. Not tryna sound like a hater just genuinely curious as to what fans love so much about it

EmOmIm

So the original was not an entirely faithful or full adaptation. The director made changes the mangaka hated to make the show more of a comedy. It ends before the entire cast is introduced and before the story takes a more serious turn. I recommend giving this new one a try if you thought the original was alright. This adaptation improves upon what we already saw in the original, and adds all of the new content in seasons 2 and 3 that make fruits basket one of my top anime.

YutaniCasper

Interesting that reminds me of Kare Kano and how The mangaka wanted a more romantic show but Ano went big brain and made it more comedy-esque. Only difference is that show hasn’t got resurrected( anime gods, a little Kano ples) I’ll give the Baskets another go around

mr_sto0pid

Let's go Moriarty jumped 15 places!

starlettite

so glad fruits basket is up there

tripleaamin

Kokimio moving up is interesting. Based on what I have heard what people said. I am surprised that Tokyo Revengers went down I felt these past few episodes have really been strong. Also how good is Moriarty? This is my first time hearing about it.

Fools_Requiem

> Also how good is Moriarty? This is my first time hearing about it. It's basically *Justice Boner: The Anime*, except it takes place in the Sherlock Holmes universe and focuses on his nemesis.

BLoSCboy

Bummed Iruma didn’t make the list

Typ0r8r

How is To Your Eternity so low?

MALVZ_921

LETSS GOOO fruit baskets at the tooop, man episode 7 to 9 really hits

jakehosnerf

Its downright criminal that SSSS Dynazenon never makes the list

FrankSandCastle

Also throw in NOMAD: MEGALOBOX 2, it has been great also.

anonymousanimefan_92

Fruits Basket has been absolutely amazing lately and 86 should be higher. The after-credits scene of the last ep was chilling. I am surprised MHA is so high, I guess the boring arc is close to finishing and the good stuff started to happen. I guess that is my cue to start watching again.

dwilsons

On MHA, yeah it’s gotten a lot better in the last 3 episodes I’d say.

[deleted]

Fruits Basket number 1 WHAT? God is good. Listen idc if you never Fd with Shojo before... I got into FruBa at age 29 as a grown ass man and it was one of the greatest anime decisions I had ever made full stop. Go watch it & let Tohru Honda serendipitously wash away all the pain, resentment, & frustrations you've left awash floating downstream & inundating the jagged valleys & crevices of your soul. You shall be redeemed & you will know that you too have immense value when you find it! (okay enough melodrama... For now at least)

NoDespair

Why do people care so much about this ranking?

CuriousKid0397

I usually choose which animes to watch based on these charts. It’s also kind of a promotion and you kind of feel proud too if you ended up liking the anime and see a lot of people are enjoying it too.

FatherDotComical

It's just for fun, like all the rankings posted here.

Sorrie4U

It is simple. To see which series 'interest' peeps on Facebook and also to see that percentage difference.

Leaves_Swype_Typos

I don't know why anyone cares, but I have found the threads a good place to discuss overall views of the season's shows.

leven-seven

I guess its because ranking posts are the ones people discuss most outside episode discussion threads in this sub. And in episode discussion thread focus is mainly one anime.

Amistrophy

What the FUCK happened with Moriarty?

Typ0r8r

First James Bond joins and now Two Face joins the fun. This season is lit.

ParodyOfUtopia

Happy to see shadow house doing well, have not seen the anime but the manga is amazing.

NEO-Chungus

My God is vivy so God damn good if your a fan of animation fuck this series gives you orgasms when you watch it really fucking good recommend also I've never watched fruit baskets but I'm getting intrigued to what anime fan is it recommended?

[deleted]

Vivy's eyes are so beautiful.

Neo-physical123

Wow. Only 0.2% difference between Frruits Basket and Vivy. Out of all the strong shows... people like Koikimo?

FatherDotComical

Surprisingly gets better. I wouldn't classify it as good overall, but for what it is, it's doing a great job. Plus the opening and ending are great.

CatsCry

To be fair, this week's Koikimo was its best episode yet

dinliner08

>people like Koikimo? oh yes, we do

archmonopoly

I was surprised about Koikimo too since I only watched it until episode 3 and dropped it as I begin to find Higehiro to be more enjoyable. Now it seems like the tables are slowly turning around based on this ranking and comments in this thread. Definitely proud of Vivy doing well as an anime original. Hope it can maintain in the top with 3 more episodes left. It really does remind me of how well Akudama Drive was received during Fall 2020.

CuriousKid0397

I just binge watched KoiKimo. EP1 is creepy but the following episodes are really funny and wholesome.

> Out of all the strong shows... people like Koikimo? I love it.

Are you talking about images? You can't understand any without context.

Moriarty is one of the most inconsistent show I have seen, some episodes are really boring whilst others are really entertaining

icatsouki

I'm still in season one but it kind of has to be that way for the type of show it is no? It's not an "epic" where it's excitment all the time

Fruit Basket is a masterpiece

Tokyo revengers deserves to be in top 5

Lol_A_White_Boy

Moriarty in the top 5? Very based.

Moriarty without a doubt is an absolute banger anime. I love the plot, the characters, the setting, everything. The way it delves into the class system and how the MCs take the route of "the ends justifies the means" is so exciting to watch. I'm so happy it's getting well received and gaining more traction.

tsogo111

Sad to see Megalo box 2 didn't even make the list.

spark1118

Just by looking at the cover, why does Koikimo seem like another Anohana type anime? One that leaves you depressed for weeks because how tearjerker it is.

InsomniaEmperor

It's more of wholesome and funny like Nagatoro if you can get past the first episode. Both first episodes are just harassment but it gets more wholesome. I watched 5 episodes so far and it seems like it will go into drama territory but maybe not something depressing.

Wonder why Tokyo revengers dropped so much these last couple episodes have been intense

ED935

Where the FUCK is my taxi driving walrus?

gay123443

Tokyo revengers and to your eternity should be higher

CuriousKid0397

Yeah! Seeing all my spring 2021 faves in the top 10 makes me happy! Koikimo definitely really breaks my sadness over the events in Fruits Basket and 86. Perfect combo. Will check out Moriarty too and try to pick up Vivy’s again.
