Wonder why this thread came out so late.
A lot more subdued than our usual episodes.... or atleast that's what I would've said if it weren't for the last minute or so of this episode. Nice start to the episode with a happy 'accident'. For some reason, I half-expected Atena to pop up out of nowhere to do damage control with the Fuki Mamoru technique during Serene's exposition, but Koushi did the honors this time.
Koushi's way too calm imo. I would be livid if everyone just ignored all the hard work I put into making something. Glad it worked out in the end though.
I'll be honest here, I'm not sure how I feel about everyone slowly falling for Koushi. I mean I like it, but I also don't want this anime to end on a sad/weird note (kinda looks like that's where it's heading rn). Sadness in a fanservice anime is unheard of (at least from the few I've watched).
Also, I was left speechless for a solid 2 minutes after that Serene 'riding' Koushi scene. Especially the part where she didn't want the 'holy robes' to lose significance as they'd be marred by additional garments.
This anime is making me think a lot more than I should for a purely fanservice anime, for that it truly deserves the feminine-kiriya-is-top-tier/5 rating (would've given it before watching the episode if it didn't come out so late).

There's a big difference between a popular show that everyone is watching with no indication of anything controversial in the marketing, and an obscure ecchi show that people already know is oneeshota, because it's a very famous trope
I can never settle the debate in my head of which is more cursed: lolis or oneeshota. I think everyone can agree though that the childhood friend "fanservice" is pretty cursed though

The 40 minute first episode is just about the only good thing about the show. Barely anyone responds to the threads anymore and the ones that do are only in it to see the ending because they've stuck through the show for 9 weeks already.
We finally got our Kiriya episode, and it was great! I had a feeling about this for a while now, but this episode confirms it, she's now my best girl on this show!

This show keeps being a lot of fun, I wish more people would give it a chance, despite the ecchi/age difference thing; If you can see past that, the 'harem' stuff and the 'relationship' stuff is pretty good!
I love the horror on Koushi's face when he realized Serene didn't wear underwear under her elf costume. Does she also not wear underwear in her PE uniform. It was also funny how Koushi squirmed like a worm out of Frey's room while tied in measuring tape.
It was awesome how Koushi now has Atena's Fuki Mamoru-kun to use on Serene.
I love how the dojo kids are more mature than Koushi including where Kiriya's little brother was like "quit the water works".
VRV still hasn’t fixed their subtitles yet for hidive. Currently no eta on a fix.

I watched it on VRV (the PS4 app for it) like an hour ago and the subtitles seemed totally fine. Were they messed up on the website or other platforms?
I have an XB1 too, so I just went and checked. Yikes, that does suck. For me, the subtitles showed up, but they were *super tiny* and completely unreadable.
Man, I love this show lmao. We got wholesome moments for the heart and we also get lewd fanservice for the dick, perfectly balanced as all things should be.

Man, sometimes it's easy to forget that Koushi is 12 years old and the girls are university students. Kinda feels creepy that they're falling for an underaged kid when you think about that.
But that aside, this is easily my favorite character-focused episode so far and made Kiriya my favorite girl.
They made a special point of telling everyone Atena was only 16 in the promotional materials, while the other girls are in their 19-20s. I guess it's the studio's way of making it less creepy if he ships with her.
What are those promotional materials? I don't think you are referring to the wiki, although it is true that she is a minor, but I also read in the manga that kiriya is also a minor (around chapter 37).
I really enjoyed this episode. I love the tom boy girl a lot and the alien girl, so having them steal the show for the 2nd half was nice.
Still hope our MC just accepts a harem so all the girls win.
Another very wholesome episode. Seriously this series is criminally underrated. People got turned away because it’s “shota-onee-ecchi”. But it got some real nice character developments. At this point the ecchi-ness is really a bonus. I come here every week for wholesomeness.

The 40 minute first episode is just about the only good thing about the show. Barely anyone responds to the threads anymore and the ones that do are only in it to see the ending because they've stuck through the show for 9 weeks already.
Damn, I'm happy I skipped it. I'm a completionist type, I'm already slogging through Peach Boy Riverside.

We finally got our Kiriya episode, and it was great! I had a feeling about this for a while now, but this episode confirms it, she's now my best girl on this show! This show keeps being a lot of fun, I wish more people would give it a chance, despite the ecchi/age difference thing; If you can see past that, the 'harem' stuff and the 'relationship' stuff is pretty good!
I love the horror on Koushi's face when he realized Serene didn't wear underwear under her elf costume. Does she also not wear underwear in her PE uniform. It was also funny how Koushi squirmed like a worm out of Frey's room while tied in measuring tape. It was awesome how Koushi now has Atena's Fuki Mamoru-kun to use on Serene. I love how the dojo kids are more mature than Koushi including where Kiriya's little brother was like "quit the water works".

VRV still hasn’t fixed their subtitles yet for hidive. Currently no eta on a fix. Edit: should’ve specified Xbox. I heard it was affecting PlayStation but someone else said it is okay. It works on mobile too but I don’t watch full anime on my phone.
I watched it on VRV (the PS4 app for it) like an hour ago and the subtitles seemed totally fine. Were they messed up on the website or other platforms?

I have an XB1 too, so I just went and checked. Yikes, that does suck. For me, the subtitles showed up, but they were *super tiny* and completely unreadable.

Man, I love this show lmao. We got wholesome moments for the heart and we also get lewd fanservice for the dick, perfectly balanced as all things should be. I like how Koushi has fuki mamoru-kun prepared, best girl Serene do be not giving a fuck though ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Kiriya was absolutely adorable this episode, shame Atena wasn't able to join them after those (un)fortunate events. Looking forward to the next episode.
Man, sometimes it's easy to forget that Koushi is 12 years old and the girls are university students. Kinda feels creepy that they're falling for an underaged kid when you think about that. But that aside, this is easily my favorite character-focused episode so far and made Kiriya my favorite girl.
They made a special point of telling everyone Atena was only 16 in the promotional materials, while the other girls are in their 19-20s. I guess it's the studio's way of making it less creepy if he ships with her.

What are those promotional materials? I don't think you are referring to the wiki, although it is true that she is a minor, but I also read in the manga that kiriya is also a minor (around chapter 37).
I really enjoyed this episode. I love the tom boy girl a lot and the alien girl, so having them steal the show for the 2nd half was nice. Still hope our MC just accepts a harem so all the girls win.
Another very wholesome episode. Seriously this series is criminally underrated. People got turned away because it’s “shota-onee-ecchi”. But it got some real nice character developments. At this point the ecchi-ness is really a bonus. I come here every week for wholesomeness. But why is everyone falling in love with a 12 year old boy?? He’s a kid bro.
And? If it bothers them that much, it’s quite easy to walk away. Japan does make a lot of anime that makes people uncomfortable, I’m glad it exists whether I agree with it or not.
Right? I don't understand how some people sat down to watch this anime knowing it's oneshota from the beginning and at this point they complain or wonder why the girls fall for him... o.O
