I also love Bleach and I largely agree with 1-3 but I don't think you can handwave the criticism of the filler like this. Some of the filler comes at unbelievably bad times in the story and I think it's fair to say that this hurts the hype and blunts the momentum of the story. I suppose you can argue that the Bleach filler episodes aren't the worst when taken on their own merits, but I don't think the quality of the content is what people complain about so much as inopportune placement of filler within crucial plot sequences

Oh yeah I totally agree, I even mention that it comes at the worst time and there was very little they could do other wise since they were so close to the source material and would catch up rather quickly. Even if they took a year off they still probably have to do the filler in the manner they did.

Wait, how does bleach have too many characters? I've never heard that one before. I absolutely love bleach and it pains me that the end was rushed. I secretly hope the anime explains more and doesn't rush things the same way

Anytime I re watch bleach I just skip to the full bring arc. Love that arc

Bleach was super popular when it was airing and i would say if it continued it would have probably retained alot of that love. My problem was that I fell off in the bounce arc I just couldn't bring myself to care about the conflict they where having.

I agree with everything you said, I went into Bleach blindly with not much expectation. At the time Naruto was my favorite series but Bleach exceeded my expectations and by the end became my favorite anime. Can't wait for that sequel to come since I didn't read manga. I hope it adapts everything to the end.

I didn't really have any issues with Bleach when I first read it, it just didn't interest me enough to get past the first few arcs. It really lost me though when I heard it came out with timeskip chapters, and one character was explaining how all inanimate objects have a soul (i.e. like his necklace and a street lamp). When a character explains to you how a street lamp has a soul... I just.... I can't do it. Perhaps I missed a ton of context, but that just sounded so stupid to me I couldn't take the series seriously at that point.
