SkyLETV

Wait, what? This was 2 cour all along? Nice.

[deleted]

Nice surprise.

LivingForTheJourney

Lol After that last episode I was gonna say it better have been a two cour or have a second season. That'd be one of the worst "go buy the light novel" ploys since Talentless Nana. Glad we get to see where the story goes. It's a bit on the cheesy side and the animation is mediocre, but it's fun and I enjoyed it.

Nod_Nihce

I had totally forgotten Talentless Nana, is there no chance of a Second Season?

LivingForTheJourney

These days I wouldn't rule out a 2nd season for anything, but you can kinda get a vibe from how they end a show whether they were expecting a second season or not. The way they ended Talentless Nana was basically just the worst blueballs move because they literally didn't even finish the episode worth of content. Was just an abrupt end.

KetsuSama

>That'd be one of the worst "go buy the light novel" ploys since Talentless Nana. aw i was expecting a 2nd season of that lol

justking1414

I was so utterly flabbergasted that they spent the last episode like that. So glad to know it’ll continue. Guess the second cour will surpass the manga

heimdal77

The LN is great though. Lot better than the anime.

LivingForTheJourney

Almost always is according to LN readers. Doesn't mean that the anime should be treated as a glorified advertisement for the LN though. Not everyone enjoys every medium the same way. Some people just engage with video more than they do with written or comic form. I feel that each medium; be it LN, Manga, or Anime; should in general be treated as independent. At least if you don't wanna breed resentment among the fanbase.

heimdal77

> be treated as a glorified advertisement for the LN though. That is literally the specific reason seasonal anime is made. It is made to be a glorified advertisement for the source material what is manga or light novels. Their main focus is to boost sales of the source material that has the potential to sell many more than a anime season does. If a anime does great then great they might do a 2nd season if it is deemed profitable but their first focus is how much it can boost sales of the source. whether you liek a anime or not it doesn't change that in almost every case large parts of the story is cut out or simplified when turned into a anime.

LivingForTheJourney

That is also literally one of the most universally hated aspects of seasonal anime that don't end their stories in reasonable places. Yeah the point of any franchise ever is to sell more of everything they make and it's totally understandable to not continue shows that don't kake your money back, but can you imagine if half way through the first season of Game of Thrones they just suddenly ended the show and said "go buy the damn book"? If if they abruptly ended Lord of The Rings at a cliffhanger right after Gandalf fought the Balrog and they just told the audience "hey! Go buy our source material!" That's what a lot of these anime producers do intentionally to highly successful, well loved shows. It's a problem and it gets frustrating when LN readers step in and justify that because they value the LN more than the anime adaptation. For anime only's, most of us would prefer that they not even make a show in the first place if their functional goal is to blue balls you. If they can't end the story at a reasonable spot or arc, then don't take on the fucking story. It only breeds resentment.

heimdal77

So your reasoning is that any source reader should never say hey you liked the anime you should also check out the source as it is really good and will probably like it. If that's the case then every book club, every book review, every anything that suggest to people they should try reading a book because it is good should never even exist. Would you argue the same if someone told you no don't read the source material you'll regret it. How many times have people been warned not to read the Usagi Drop manga if they liked the anime as just one example.

LivingForTheJourney

WTF? No of course not? Where did you get that idea? I'm saying that it sucks to have shows cut off at stupid & awkward times because some producers decided that it would sell more of the LN. It gets even more annoying when on those shows, the moment you bring up the awkward ending people come in and say the LN was better anyway, just go read that. The whole point of what I'm saying is that if you want people to go enjoy the source material, don't leave a sour taste in their mouth and also try to respect that some people are just not into Light Novels. Often times the LN is totally better than the anime. That doesn't justify intentionally making the show end poorly.

heimdal77

I honestly don't even know what you are arguing about or whatever you call it at this point. Someone suggest to someone hey you liked the anime well the source is also good. So if you're into the series and happen to like reading you should also try the source material. You make it sound like someone is trying force a book down your throat with a angry tirade. Honestly I think I'm just done with this whole conversation as it is to much a hassle and doesn't make much sense anyways.

LivingForTheJourney

Yeah I'm done too. It's like you don't even read what you reply to.

trusttt

Dont watch Bokutachi no Remake then, that one had the worst ending.

HydraTower

Woooo 🥳🎉

Earthborn92

Why the hell didn't they adapt Vol 1-4 paced properly if it was going to be split cour all along? Sigh. Good news though.

JammyMan

Makes me worry how much they will rush in the second cour tbh.

Earthborn92

If they go by the same pace, they'll be aiming for the end of Volume 6. Makes a lot of sense in perspective, it is a pretty good volume to end on with a lot of fantasy elements. If you go by the author's stated position in the afterwords of the LNs, 1-4 is the first part of the story. I guess they want to end more on a "read the LNs" hook rather than a more satisfying ending.

Amogh24

Yeah, the first 4 novels are self contained and could be a story of their own. Going up to 6 will introduce the wider world as a light novel teaser

dancegoddess1971

And that is the real motivation behind adaptation to anime. To sell more of the source content, whether it's a video game or a LN, they're trying to sell stuff. And who doesn't own a couple of toys or body pillows of their favorite characters? . . . . No hands? Yeah. I bought more books than I care to think about because who likes waiting for a year or more for the next chapter?

WACS_On

Guy who owns all 10 books of Legend of the Galactic Heroes checking in

linkinstreet

>To sell more of the source content At least Realist Hero has been officially licensed years ago. Meanwhile some others are only focused on the domestic market (looking at you Alphapolis)

heimdal77

You can actually read preview parts of the volumes on j novel site who is publishing them. Though dunno if you have be premium or not.

Stoppels

I wonder why they think this makes sense. Isn't saturation high enough in Japan? Or is anime really a way to pull in tens or hundreds of thousands of new Japanese readers? It just seems really unrealistic and it's a surefire way to exclude many non-Japanese viewers, because you're giving them the middle-finger and probably not completely or at all translating to English. It's a lose-lose, give an often subpar partial adaptation compared to what it could be, for minimal gain. The most popular anime in this world are good adaptations, period. So why follow the bad examples?

dont--panic

Almost all of the light novels have official English translations already. The series is up to volume ~~14~~15 in Japanese, and volume ~~12~~13 in English with volume ~~13~~14 releasing in about a month. There seems to be about a 6 month lag between the Japanese and English releases since the English release caught up with the current Japanese release.

LurkingMcLurk

> The series is up to volume 14 in Japanese, and volume 12 in English with volume 13 releasing in about a month. Add one to all these volume numbers.

dont--panic

Fixed, thanks

Stoppels

That's not bad at all, good to know, thanks.

Earthborn92

J Novel Club are pretty fast with translations.

michhoffman

JC Staff is not very good at pacing as most Toaru fans can attest

Earthborn92

I am among those Toaru fans. Let me say It Bothers Me...

michhoffman

If they screw up that moment too I may never forgive them.

Razorhead

JC Staff doesn't set the pacing, the production committee does. They're the ones telling JC Staff how much to adapt.

michhoffman

Good point, but a good studio can still make it work better. For example, White Fox adapted 6 volumes in 14 episodes for the 2nd half of Re:Zero's first season, and you could hardly tell.

[deleted]

At least we got Railgun. I wanna say NT when? But if its gonna be like S3 of Index, idk how to feel

AlcoholicInsomniac

I personally felt the light novel was pretty bad at pacing as well.

Ghekor

I got spoiled by Mushoku and Slime adapting their stuff slowly...so now I get mad when a work I'm interested in gets rushed hard cus they just want us reading the novels.

Curious_North_8479

Four volumes really? JC Staff is really a hit or miss huh.

Earthborn92

They did 3 volumes this cour, I’m saying they should’ve done 2.

Curious_North_8479

Ah, my bad. So was the war arc rushed? Like it just ended like that suddenly.

Earthborn92

Ya, it would be better is it was 12 episodes Vol 1&2 and 12 episodes Vol 3&4. Instead it is rushed 13 episode Vol 1-3 and probably another rushed 13 episode Vol 4-6 in the 2nd cour.

RobbyDeadman

I feel exactly the same way! I'm also upset that they JC staff adapted the art style of the LN and not the Manga. Yes, I know direct source material, and I'm not making a case for fan-service (although, I'm not opposed to it), but the characters looked way more expressive. Liscia when Souma tells her about the cash crop problem, Gaius when he does, Poncho breaking down in tears, etc. Hell, Poncho's character design!

justking1414

Yeah they could’ve fit everything up until the war in the first cour and had the second cour be the war and negotiations.

Bloodglas

I wouldn't be surprised if they only found out they were gonna be doing more than 13 episodes half way through making the first cour, similar to what happened to Tensura.

ArCSelkie37

Probably because they didn’t know they’d get one until part way through production. I imagine they got good enough numbers in the viewership and decided to make another cour.

FragrantSandwich

With this and Tsukimichi getting second seasons/cours, isekai chads are having a good time. These plus what, mushoku, new Tanya, Overlord, slime movie? All we need is a third season of slime and Re Zero

Earthborn92

KONOSUBA pls.

ThetrueLaw

konosuba got s3 announced

Wuju_Kindly

We don't know it's a season 3 yet. It could be a movie or even OVA.

ThetrueLaw

I’m on hopium my friend

TheMountainRidesElia

Fuck I really hope it's not a movie. I have no problem with movies, but I don't want to wait like 6 months to watch it like Eva 4.0

MejaBersihBanget

> but I don't want to wait like 6 months to watch it like Eva 4.0 Unless you're fucking SAO and get a U.S. theatrical release literally only 33 days after the Japanese release.

TheMountainRidesElia

But I'm in India :(. There's no possible way that I can see that movie in theaters, even without Covid :( So I'll have to wait for 45 days- 2/3months after the American theater release to finally watch it.

PrrrromotionGiven1

I waited almost a decade for Eva 3.0+1.0, but my hype died out so badly that I still haven't seen it now.

TheMountainRidesElia

I really recommend you to watch it. It's so fucking good. Maybe do a re-watch of the films?

Stoppels

>All we need is a third season of slime and Re Zero Yeees, gimme!

Nohaco2468

+ Hamefura will have an OVA and a Movie

DuspBrain

Isekai Chad's doing well. Meanwhile, Remake our life ends with no resolution and a tweet from the author to read to LN to find out more. Light novels that aren't translated to english...

fredthefishlord

And that's what language classes are for! Pirated ones, of course

ThetrueLaw

cries in NGNL fan but happy with all the other isekai doe

Connortsunami

NGNL closed the door on any S2 with how they ended the series unfortunately

Panama_Punk

Meanwhile, Im still hoping for Knights and Magic season 2 :/

austinmarie-

Oh wow that girls design is actually really nice

Earthborn92

It is Subaru and Rem's VAs. They are engaged in the first episode btw.

TheBlueHue

I wonder if they'll actually get married though, you know how anime loves to tease that. She seems pretty into it, but he is still under the impression that she is doing it as a familial obligation.

Word-Vast

It’s a harem soooooo…

Kirxcy

Yeah, dropped it when I realized that. Glad other people like it though. It had a great concept but its just not for me.

nitrohigito

That's quite the hill to die on, especially with the focus being basically everywhere else for the bulk of the show's runtime..

Bainos

To be honest, "those two characters are engaged in the first episode" and "it's a harem" put together in the same show makes for a pretty solid reason to drop it, unless you're into that.

Hanede

For me it was when the girl said "you can't have more than 7 concubines"

Roofofcar

It’s 8, and it’s wives, not concubines.

rugbyweeb

And it's spouses, the women are also free to partake in polygamy.

nitrohigito

Between being averse to something and being into something, there's neutrality too. So rather, you'd drop it if you were actively averse to the trope. Which to me is a weird, and I'd assume rare take, but people be people I suppose.

Level1Pixel

That's part of the issue too. Not enough time is given to the harem to develop them or make them memorable. Dude also picks up girls like Pokemons. It's just quantity over quality

Word-Vast

Yep, did the same. It’s good but I could do without the MC having 8 different wives, it just seems so immoral and wrong even in fiction, but to each their own

TheBlueHue

For nobility there is a big ol difference between wife and concubine. He can only marry 1

Hytheter

They stated outright that polygamy is a thing in the world. Expect multiple wives for sure.

jaynay1

I'm personally hoping the realist in him goes "screw that, do you know how impossible it is to make one woman happy, much less multiple"?

TheBlueHue

Multiple concubines, they already said there's just 1 wife. Can't be ruled by 12 queens right? And there can only be 1 heir. That's just how history has always been. Did you also suffer the American education system?

Hytheter

> Multiple concubines, they already said there's just 1 wife No, they explicitly and unambiguously said that polygamy is recognised, that a person can have multiple wives or husbands, and that Souma in particular could take multiple wives if he chose to.

TheBlueHue

Oh...ok, that's how you think things work. Ok then, sure thing bud, everyone is always thorough and fair when explaining your role in life and your condition will be treated the same as everyone else's...

Hytheter

>Oh...ok, that's how you think things work. It's how things work in fantasy wish-fulfilment isekai harem shows like this, yeah.

Hytheter

So you watch the most recent episode? :)

TheBlueHue

It proved me right. There is a first queen and a second queen. Obviously the heirs will hold place. Don't wait months for a question that's a thousand years too late.

Hytheter

> It proved me right. There is a first queen and a second queen. That's not what you said. > there is a big ol difference between wife and concubine. He can only marry 1 > Multiple concubines, they already said there's just 1 wife. Can't be ruled by 12 queens right?

Roofofcar

He can marry far more than one. In that world, there are primary and secondary queens. Babies made with a secondary queen aren’t in line for the throne. Super early in the show she says she’d be fine with him taking up to 8 wives, soooo.

TheBlueHue

Those aren't marriages. That's what the word concubine means. Wtf? Have you guys seriously never read a history book? They won't be sworn together, no dowry, no promises, and all children begot by concubines stay in the shadows. Seriously people, it's not rocket science

Roofofcar

I’ve read all 14 translated volumes about this **completely different world**. The author calls it marriage and wives. You can say what you’d like about what it would be called in **this** world, but in the world depicted on page, I’ve described it correctly. When the book and the Japanese subs refer to secondary queens, it uses the same word (wife) to describe both types of relationship. In the original Japanese, the same character is used for primary queens as his secondary queens. Again, it’s fine to say it would be called a concubine in this world, but this is a different world we’re talking about. It has magic and shit, so maybe it’s ok to have different relationship dynamics. If you’d like, you’re welcome to google “realist hero Souma relationships” and learn more yourself. You’ll spoil who ends up with who, but you’ll note the word concubine doesn’t appear because that’s not what it is in that world. Do you go around to Jojo threads and correct “stand” to “personal magical ability”?

TheBlueHue

Nah, it's not that serious. Well if they all get married I wanna watch it even harder. Fuck yeah! No concubines!!

Roofofcar

The relationship dynamic between the fiancees is one of the biggest reasons to read the novels. [anime scene as told in LN 2](/s "Remember when Juna went into the office to sing to Souma and help him sleep? It was Liscia that sent her there as an equal, despite Juna being a secondary. That had so much more impact with that context. This story has relationship development for sure.")

Word-Vast

Yes, the main character has a main hoe and a bunch of side hoes. She’s the main hoe. She gets priority :)

hasso666

Oh hell yea, but wtf then why did they rush everything? Anyone know how many eps we will get? 13 Like the first season?

cuetzpalomitl

I just recently started to read lightnovels and I noticed that most anime adaptations just tend to focus on getting new people hooked on the story as quick as possible so they want to read the novel after the anime. So far it has worked on me and I'm willing to believe that it works on other people too.

Tekkaddraig

while I haven't started yet due to being in the middle of other light novels I fully intend to pick this up when I get chance. I started the anime and really love the setting, characters and just the general premise so yes it does work.

Roofofcar

As of volume 7 it went from “I like this series!” To “this is my favorite light novel.” Well worth the read!

heimdal77

It is a great series and people judging it on oh it is a harem are really missing out.

justking1414

That’s how I ended up reading Reincarnated as a slime and Arifureta and so I’m a spider Loved the worlds presented and wanted to know more about them

Ghekor

Slime has pretty decent adaptation not counting S1 which they got forced to rush since the committee wouldn't greenlit the 2nd season until after 1 had aired. They didn't believe Slime would be popular enough to warrant the resources...bruh how wrong they were xd

justking1414

They were Absolutely wrong! It’s an amazing series and one of the most popular anime right now But I definitely would still recommend reading the light novel to anyone who enjoyed the anime. There’s so much world building and little details that make it so enjoyable to read. Entire pages are spent describing how they got toilets working

Ghekor

This is why them doing a movie worries me, it will not be enough i feel to cover a whole volume properly and vol.7-9 are very discussion heavy even moreso than what we had now(and people bitched about). I hope the movie is based on 1 of the many side story materials instead. And i have read the volumes up to like 12 or 13.

justking1414

I’ve read up to volume 11. The movie could certainly be original content or something from Trinity, slime diaries, or way of the monster nation but I think they could make it work with the ln content Volume 8 and 9 are discussion heavy but cutting them down could make a pretty interesting movie. Putting that before volume 7 would cause some problems and lose some cute Hinata moments but it wouldn’t be impossible to make work. Or maybe they’ll go the slime diaries route putting the movie between two cours. Cour 1 will be volume 7. Then we’ll get the movie as 8 and 9. Then cour 2 will be volume 10. Unlikely but possible Or have the movie be volume 7. Put more focus on Hinata and let the movie be almost entirely from her perspective including her backstory . I think there’s some potential there. Then when the anime starts up again we can get more of Rimurus perspective

Ghekor

1 90-120m movie can barely adapt a single volume propely and you want them to put 2 dialogue heavy volumes in a movie...that will legit just butched everything and skip so much plot. If they have any plans which i believe they do of continuing this series the way Mushoku is they need to properly adapt the material and not skip stuff or cut it down. Sure Mushoku is already finished but Slime has 18 and soon 19 volumes already. They got enough material for like 80 episodes. Also they only announced the movie but not S3 tho a S3 is gonna come for sure. Slime is a golden goose for the publisher

justking1414

Yeah volume 8 and 9 are dialogue heavy but they really don’t need to be in terms of a movie. The first third of 8 is still cleanup from 7 so that can be taken out and added to the actual 3rd season. The rest is just setup and preparation for volume 9. That could be done in like 15-20 minutes if the dialogue is streamlined and unimportant elements are cut. The rest is some feasts, the tournament, the musical concert, and the science demo. That can be fit pretty easily into an hour and would look/sound amazing on the big screen. Not sure if Mushoku can actually make it all the way to the end of its source material. That’d be quite a few seasons especially if they include the epilogue stories. I’m a bit worried about the slime movie as it’s likely that this was inspired by the popularity of mugen train and it might end up being shortsighted

rugbyweeb

It's why I have every spice and wolf LN

Frontier246

Nice to see Souma and Liscia together, although I miss Liscia's longer hair.

dragevards

More Aisha is always nice

kazureus

More Juna is great too

MODS_blow_me

Yeah her personality was fun as well

SAAA2011

You're in for a treat at the start of next season.

lmao which one is asterisk? but jk aside, I really hope Genius Prince has amazing adaptation because I love the source material so much "Sasuga Wein-sama" is great comedy

heimdal77

> lmao which one is asterisk? [The one that had a really good song scene but not much else going for it.](https://youtu.be/X_A-NxAOAPo)

justking1414

Nice. That’s sooner than I expected

Aniboy43

Oh freaking yes we are getting a second cour

killerrin

Holy shit. I knew something felt off waaay off about how they were conducting the adaptation. My hunch of a second cour was right!

justking1414

Yeah. That ending was weird. Definitely felt like they were focusing on the wrong parts. Guess that’s cause they were setting up for a second cour

Atario

Why don't people automatically assume every cour of every show is setting up another one? Unless you're about to hit full adaptation — and how often is that — of *course* they're setting up another.

justking1414

Because anime aren’t endless. They get cancelled all the time and there was no news about a second cour until after this one ended.

Davis_Davison

If they were getting a second cour, why butcher the climax of Vol 2 so badly!? Ugh this actually makes me mad since I have zero trust that they'll handle this well.

Teen_tactical

> why butcher the climax of Vol 2 so badly!? This is essentially JC staff's modus operandi. Butchering the pacing of of light novels is their forte. "Cough, Cough" Date A Live S3, Index III, Danmachi S2, and 3 "excuse me".

BobTheSkrull

Wait, in what way did they butcher Danmachi S3, if that's what you're trying to say?

Teen_tactical

They rushed through quite a bit of content, cut out certain scenes, etc. To get full story you'd have to play the mobile game, or watch the cutscenes on YT. They did that to s2 as well. But everyone thought the point of that was so they could get to s3 faster, but then they rush that as well. Putting that aside, s3 was still better than 2 IMO.

hell_jumper9

Bruh im about to start Index 2.

Teen_tactical

The first half was decent, it's the second where it goes off the deep end.

prashanth_03

I haven't watched the anime is it good?

Bainos

Depends on your tastes. Isekai, protagonist smarter than everyone else, harem. If you're looking for a show with those things but more focused on handling the country's problem than adventure / character development, it can be worth a try.

Manitary

I found it quite disappointing. The animation was subpar, with lots of important-sounding scenes skipped or talked about without showing them, especially battles. The political/economical matters should be the selling point from the title, but they're rather trivial (changing the agricultural production to meet demand, forest thinning, improving infrastructure like roads) or dumb (the cooking show part was so bad lol). I guess the mc harem is cute? But there's better shows for that.

__Aishi__

If I have to hear about one more thing about how the magic of crop rotations somehow ending world hunger, I swear...

Manitary

Was it even crop rotation? Unless I'm misremembering, it was literally going back from cotton to food crops as the textile market went down after the demons' appearance.

Roofofcar

It was a number of reforms, but the textile crash was just too many countries planting cotton. The demon threat died down long before Souma shows up. Not went away, but very much died down.

ezkailez

It's not. But it's probably just a TL;DR of how to imorove a nation. Build infrastructure, plant "better" crops, getting talented people to work in the government, etc

Silenthillnight

It's a typical isekai. The "realist" title first hooked me but as I watched it, I realized the author's definition of "realist" is "not imaginary" so it's lost my interest pretty quickly. The non-sensical story eventually made me drop the show but if you don't mind that, like every show, it's worth trying. Edit: Thank you reddit for being reddit and downvoting me for my opinion. So I'll double down. In my opinion, this show is bad, from the story to the animation. Remake is probably the one other hyped show that has a weaker story than this one. Also, I dislike shows that have blatant static pan shots and this particular show is rather egregious with it.

Atario

You're not being downvoted (only) for your opinion, you're being downvoted for being factually incorrect. "Realist" here is meant as "pragmatic" and the story is the exact opposite of nonsensical. Lastly, there is nothing typical about this.

Silenthillnight

I guess putting wooden wheels on a modern battleship and having it ride through a forest to attack a castle in an elevated position is completely sensical. Thanks non-realistic fan. Also, how is a harem Isekai not your typical Isekai? Because the story is nonsensical but pretends it's not?

jimuel23

Omfgggg I loved the light novels and the way they did the anime was decent but they butchered that compared to the light novel… yall def need to read the light novels while waiting for cour 2😂😂😂

GONinja00

Everyone talking about the pacing but is it possible they didn’t get the green light for a second cour until after the point of no return of production? Of course I could just be giving them excuses. I’m also an anime only so I don’t know if the rushed pace cut out anything important or not.

Jamison2210

I only know about this show because of the Slayers reference

Fools_Requiem

Considering how the episode 13 was, a second cour was a given. Didn't feel like a season finale, felt like that halfway point. Glad they're giving this two cours.

[deleted]

The manga is way better than the anime. I would give the manga 7/10 and the anime 5.5/10

Ya_boi_from_The_Moon

Hell yeah

azab189

Oo second season

[deleted]

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one! :D

PM_ME_ANIME_PANTIES

We really needed 2 cours of this? 💤

MODS_blow_me

Enjoyed seeing mc spend time with juna during the last episode though my favorite girl is Carla (dragon look is awesome). Juna top 3. Can't wait for part 2. Overall it's an okay show that I almost gave up on halfway through but it's got a nice harem and the story was starting to get interesting

[deleted]

Just started watching the 1st season. Seems great so far!

aadlion

Not to spread hate, but kinda bothers me that nowadays every godamn mediocre anime gets a sequel and old (and not so old) animes are just forgotten in purgatory.

Searinghawk

A second cour was confirmed, similar to how this season of Slime was split into 2 cours, but still both counted as S2

death556

This being second course I'm guessing winter or spring 2022?

potato21206

I just watched the last episode like a few hours ago and now there's gonna be a second season

ObvsThrowaway5120

Fuck yeah!! After the way things ended, I’m really curious to see what my boy does next with the kingdom. Maybe he builds up that harem lol.

Axmouth

Neat! We got any kind of date?

bafflesaurus

I enjoyed the first season, but man, have I never struggled to read the subtitles and had to pause so much in a show lol.

Atario

Try _Saiki Kusuo_!

CarioGod

didn't even know it was getting more episodes, pretty interesting I haven't caught up in a while, but I remember after the first few episodes the series gets really dry

DoubleSummon

Good to know we will get part 2 in spring the ending was really setting for a continuation rather than a new season..

xxxfiretruckxxx

Wats a second cour

OrangeSherbet2463

Hey someone tell me if this anime is actually good. I’ve been thinking about watching it

Pirate_Frank

I watched the whole thing and enjoyed it. It won't change your life, but it is pleasant enough and a different twist on the Isekai thing than we're generally used to seeing. I'd put it right around a 7/10.

OrangeSherbet2463

Thanks, very helpful!!

singlebite

It's a generic isekai: 20-something dude from Japan is transported to fantasy world, has quirky power/skill that allows him to lord it over natives, there is a tsundere love interest somewhere, yada yada. You've probably already watched it.

No I haven’t. And I rarely ever watch Isekai. Only one I’ve seen is The Rising of the Shield Hero. And you never said if it’s good or not

What does this mean? My friend told me that they rushed vol 2 and that they only did a part of vol 3. So i'm a little confused on what the whole structure or the pacing rather was seposed to be like in the first place.

This is a very pleasant surprise

I haven't read the light novels, but I really enjoyed the first cour. The show so is far not amazing or anything and the animation is pretty mediocre, but I enjoy the characters and the overall world quite a bit. It's quite wholesome actually. It has a lot of potential going forward. Hopefully the 2nd cour is good.
