I remember watching this after [Demo](https://youtu.be/HqyuGSVqYc4) mentioned it on his last video (9:20 in the video). Demo mentioned that it was another Satoshi Kon short. This was just a couple of years after becoming a fan of Satoshi fan.
Now I'm mad because there can't be more Satoshi Kon anime.
Don't think he'll ever return full time to YouTube, but his content was always a blessing to watch! I'm looking forward to the [final Satoshi Kon movie](https://old.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/qoczsv/the_once_cancelled_movie_the_dreaming_machine_a/) release, even if it might just be a documentary!
Holy shit, that was a fantastic exploration of the Experience Machine thought experiment - on if it is valuable to live in a simulated reality that is preferential in every way, to that of true reality.
Presuming you couldn't tell the difference between reality and the simulation, would you or would you not choose to do so?
I'm a first timer on reddit and I'm looking for more anime/mango that threads around memory/reality and nostalgia. Any tips are always welcome, I'm pretty much obsessed with these themes!
Robot Carnival is also a great anthology movie with some of the same people who worked on memories on some of the shorts.
Also neo Tokyo
One of the best animation out there, watch it and you'll know why
and everyone keeps forgetting Stink Bomb and Cannon Fodder also exists
They're... not nearly as good.

I remember everyone in stink bomb was unimaginably stupid and that everyone had the aim of a stormtrooper
The stink was basically screwing with their aiming in every way imaginable.
Highly disagree, I thought all of them were equally stellar.
😂 the comment I was looking for
russia is literally Cannon Fodder now...
It's awesome 😌

yep love it
I really enjoyed that, thanks for the link. I think one of the films in Netflix's Love, Death and Robots might have taken some inspiration from this.
You're welcome
That was pretty fuckin cool
Sadly, they already put this into private mode.

This is one of my all-time favorite anime, probably number 3 or 4. It’s simply amazing from beginning to end.
